Nyuni grinned. Sucess! Direct hit! She certainly was the best, wasn't she? Well, she sure....ow! The red cub took her own direct hit, a paw to the face. Oowwiieee. She sure wasn't going to let go because of that, though!
"Rrrg. Ahr hain't noh mmmnngie!" She struggled to keep ahold of his ear, though it was certainly starting to slip. THe cub didn't notice though, not when she was absorbed in....the hunt! She lashed her tail, giving a peek at her mother to make sure that she wasn't too upset. She wasn't trying to hurt her brother, but maybe Mother just didn't want to deal with their rambunctious selves at the moment.

Mpenzi had happily accepted the fact that her children were having a playfight. She could recall the first 'playfight' she'd freaked out at as a new mother so long ago. In fact, she had to keep from laught out loud even know when she thought about it.
However, she only let it go on for a while, before using one of her large paws (in comparison to the size of her children, at least) to scoop up her daughter, setting the girl next to her and licking the back of her head in a pseudo-grooming manner.
"Be careful with your brother, Nyuni. He's a fragile little boy." she chastised, though it was obvious she was not being 100% serious.
She was mommy, though, and had to keep her little ones safe, especially the boys, with their sisters outnumbering them.
SCORE! Nzigu seemed to glee, internally, at the little bit of 'victory' he'd gained, attempting to seize his sister's ear, before mother had snatched her away, instead leaving the boy to sprawl out onto his stomach pathetically.
Looking up through his 'mane' as his mother spoke, the boy pouted, sticking out his tongue at the red female in their company.
"I am -not- fragile!" he insisted, puffing up his little chest in an attempt to play 'macho'.

Nyuni squeaked as her mother plucked her away from her brother. Her little limbs flailed for a moment before she realised that her mother was giving her a little love, and instead sat happily, grinning stupidly at her brother. Take that! Mommy loved her best at the moment!
She stuck her tongue out at her brother, basking in her win, however temporary it would last. Had to take 'em when you got them! She slipped her tongue back into her mouth, giggling before she commented back to her brother, a bit bratishly, at that. "Well, that's 'cause boys are stiiiinky!" She tried to wiggle out of her mother's grasp to bound back to her brother, just to give him a 'peee-ew!' look when she got near him.

Nzigu made a sort of offended face, before lifting a paw to sniff at his fur, crinkling his nose a bit at the realization that he -did- smell, and not pleasantly.
Uuuuuurrrrgh...
"....I do -NOT- stink!" he still denied, refusing to allow his sister to know that she was right, therefore the victor of the scenerio.
Mpenzi watched as her daughter scrambled away to continued to tease her brother. However, it was easy enough for the mother to realize what the slight face Nzigu made actually meant overall.
Bathtime.
Rising to her feet, Mpenzi nudged both of the kids.
"Speaking of stinking, I think you two need a bath..." she said.
This almost got a shriek of horror from Nzigu, who attempted to scramble away, only to get swept up by his mother.
"I AM NOT STINNNNNKKKYYYY!"

Nyuni whiiiiiines at her mother. But why? She thought that they were clean enough! Well...she was, anyway. The little red cub looked pleadingly up to her mother, big brown eyes looking as wide and pitiful as they could. Her lower half was crouched on the ground, her butt sticking up in the air.
"But Mooooom...." she whined, hoping that maybe her brother would get the bath and she would stay clean. Besides, hadn't her mother just let her go from the shortest-bath-ever?? Yeah, so she should be fine! "Only Nzigu is stinky, not meeee." She plopped her butt onto the ground with a huff, her tail swishing up to rest against her side. Hopefully Mother wouldn't ask her to follow along. Oh pleeease, no no no!

Mpenzi, unfortunately, only had one mouth in which to carry a child in, so it would be hard to argue with her little one that she wasn't as 'innocent' as she was claiming. So for now, she'd let her go.
Setting her son back down, the lioness looked back at her red daughter, a shade that still brought a certain amount of musing to the lioness as to how she'd obtained the full coat of that color, when there were only a few signs of it on their father.
"Perhaps for now you are, Nyuni. We still must be returning home, however."
Nzigu was a sneaky boy, whom, at this moment, would try to sneak away as discreetly as possible.
Sneak sneak.
However, as soon as Mpenzi was done speaking, the boy was scooped up again, his little legs flailing about underneath him helplessly.
"... Mooooooooooooooooooooooooom!" he complained, hoping it would get him put back down while his mother spoke to him, and then he could run away. Unfortunately, he wasn't that lucky.

Nyuni huffed, thought she was quite happy that she got out of bath time for now. She pulled herself back up onto her feet, and trotted after her mother, giving her brother quite a snooty look. Hehehe....she was too smart, right?
She didn't really want to go home, but she knew to listen to her mother, and hopefully if she was a good girl, she'd be kept out of her mother's paws for bathtime for a while. And maybe she'd be able to see everyone else, and play with them! Mmmmn, that idea sounded too good, and it brought up a kick in her step as she trotted next to her mother's forepaws, making sure that her brother's reach was short of getting at her. Juuuust in case.
