Nodding his head, Guilian made a sympathetic face when he heard Izusa matter-of-factly discuss the pain. A pity she wasn't a unicorn, or that couldn't have had one with her...but then, unicorns and kalonas didn't seem to get along well (or so he'd heard) so maybe that was for the best after all. Regardless, things seemed to be going better for her now...
Smiling and gently nuzzling her in return for the nose touch, Guilian looked from Izusa to the three baskets yet again, though one was now obstructed by Izusa's wing. "Three...two colts, you said? And one filly...which is which, Chica?"
It wouldn't do to confuse them, after all!

Izusa lifted her wing, exposing the basket under it. It was the most colourful, and was adorned with feathers at the front;
'This is our little girl.' she said, before draping the wing back onto it.
'The other two are our sons.'
Her tail slithered along the ground beside her, and she shifted her back legs.
'I hope that they will be able to leave these soon. I do not wish to stay in this place for too long. It is not safe.'

"I see...she's going to be a gorgeous thing when she appears and a dramatic sight at that, with those colors." Smiling, Guilian moved his gaze to look at the other two baskets; unlike their sister's, the boys seemed to be paler and more subdued in terms of color. However, that didn't mean they didn't have potential as well, particularly the one with a bright red top and black marking down the front. Interesting...
Glancing from the baskets back to Izusa, he blinked and looked at her, remembering for the first time that the basket stage was a bit awkward. "How long do foals usually stay in the baskets, Chica?"

'Only if she does not take after her mother..' Izusa said matter of factly. She was never vain after all; that at least was not one of her faults! She shook her head, stretching her neck a little. She would need to walk around at some point...and feed.
'I do not know, my first time as well remember?' she flashed him a slightly disgruntled look.
'I certainly dont remember my own time in a basket either.'

Laughing, Guilian flicked back a stray curl with one ear, looking at Izusa with a grin. "I meant a dramatic sight, Chica, not a dramatic personality; though I suppose that the latter is possible as well. But no, one could never call you pompous when it comes to your looks...after all, I well remember how hard it was to convince you to so much as give me a chance, how withdrawn you were..."
Happy memories indeed. But definitely the most far-reaching consequences he'd ever had to deal with, that was sure!
At her other comment he merely shrugged, the smile still dancing on his face. "Well, how am I supposed to know what you do and do not know, Chica? All I know it that you know more than I do, so I shall always assume you now what's going on."

'I'm supposed to feel flattered I suppose?' she said archly, turning her head and nuzzling the basket closest to her. A small noise issued from it, what could be a tiny whicker.
Izusa turned to Guilian again, her ears flickering, betraying a rising irritation.
'As I've told you many times that this is my first time, my first family, first children..obviously you paid a great deal of attention.'
She kicked a foot out, missing the baskets as she tried to wake her sleeping legs.

"Only if you want to, Chica." Guilian was still sporting his wide grin, too pleased with the day's events to really be anything BUT happy. And why not? "And I know you yourself are new to all of this, Chica; as I mentioned earlier, I know I was your first. However, you have the inimitable Yzma about, so for all I know she's informed you about all of the various little details."
Shifting slightly, Guilian moved out of range as the mare kicked out, not wanting to be on the recieving end for any reason. Though if she was upset with him NOW, he really had no idea why!

'Hmmph..' Izusa was by now far too low on energy to care what he said. She stood slowly, her muscles groaning terribly as her legs supported her weight again.
'Yzma knows some things..' she said shortly, stepping around the baskets.
'You stay here. I am hungry..'
She slipped out from under the shelter, blinking in the sudden change of light.

"Enjoy your meal." Chuckling, Guilian watched as Izusa moved out of the shelter, amusement on his features as he realized that he was simply acquiescing to Izusa's demand. However, this once that wasn't a bad thing.
Turning to the three baskets, Guilian turned and extended his wing so that all three were encompassed, smiling as he looked from one to the next.
"Hello, my children; my name is Guilian, and I'm you're father..."
