"I, not up to the task? I am lord of the seas. Davy Jones will not ever even stop me though he tries. Posiedon himself wouldnt be able to stop me. Im unstoppable in the sense of the real world. As fro money, I have my own little-bank as you could say of hidden florins, gold, silver, gems, and even relics of the past worth millions. how do you suppose I paid fro all of these ships? My campaign will be victorious." He paused a moment for affect and looked at their faces. "Now I offer an alliance between us. Morsoe now than ever. The we together may rule our little empire and be that of legend. So, Will youi join me?"

Storm shook her head.

"I've never sworn alliagance to any man, and I don't think I'll start with a surface dweller. I'm quiet content with my little domain Below and the nich I've carved out up here. But thanks for offering."

Something else just occured to her.

"Ill go ahead and assume you'll be sending your ships out in groups no less then four or five, correct? How will you keep them together when storms and the like hit?"

Kibo laughs heartily.

Kibo: You believe in Poseidon, and yet you think you can get's the pope's approval and backing? You're even more hopeless than I thought.

"Ah, one of the sea...morsoe literally though... And so what if I believe in the orthodox? Makes me no less powerful in the spect. Im not going to the pope as a catholic and never will but I still would need his approval. As for keeping up with my ships. Lets just say they have a tendancy of invincibility to them. but thats my little secret of how, although Davy Jone shas found out somehow. Plus Ill be sending them all at once. I never send parties, I just unleash it all."
Col. Mordan walks up to Falchion. "Sir, the soldiers have reported back. They have recruited several legions of Kataphraktoi and Toxotoi. They are ready to be picked up in Cyprus when ready. They number over 3 million strong, more than enough to get rid o the Muslim forces. And as for seamen, we have bribed several crews to join us. All of your ships are at medium capacity with men, and full capacity with cargo. We are ready to leave whenever."
"Good! then I shall be off. I bid you farewell and adeau. Oh and I apologize in advance if any of the crew that was bribed in the taverns were of your ships. Heres 20 pounds of gold each to repay for them, if any, that were taken." Falchion walks and boards his ship, then they heave off towards the Meditteranean.

Storm shook her head.

"Strange fellow, poor French speaker. And he didn't answer my question. Ah well. With a fleet that big, it's destined to met him again."

Kibo can't help but laugh as Falchion walks off.

Kibo: He thinks he can get the pope's approval without accepting the religion. I pity his ignorance. *shrugs* But hey, a few weeks ago, I'd have thought a pirate getting the title of Admiral would have been impossible. And he thinks he can defeat the Muslims with only 3 million men? He'd better hope for a miracle. If he believes in them, that is.

"He sails doesn't he? Falchion would have to believe in some sort of deity to pray to when he goes into battle or when he's being threaten to castrado for dancing with his hosts daughter. Or about to drown. Or run through with a Muslim scimitar. He's a dead man, that one. I'd wager of his three million Falchion leaves with, a couple thousand make it. If he's extremely lucky and ties his ships together for the duration of the voyage."

Kibo: But without being a christian, the chances are basically zero that he will recieve the pope's approval on his sock color, let alone on leading a massive Crusade against basically the Islamic Religion as a whole. With 3 million men, he's obviously not planning to be fighting on the small scale.

"Well no, not necessarily. The pope just has to believe that he's a Christian. Murmur a few pious breathes, make a few gestures and he gets enough supplies to last him a year for all his men to siege a fair sized city."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 17, 2007 5:45 pm

Kibo: Well, the pope will, without doubt, give him more forces. And with the slightest inkling of their leader is not a true, devout Catholic, they will send word back to their true allegience, and the pope will remove all support poor ol' Falchion had gained.

"Falchion, while he may not be the sharpest dagger he's clever. He won't let himself slip until until he has enough of a toe hold and supply lines secured. Independent lines from the religious ones."
PostPosted: Wed Apr 18, 2007 2:07 pm

Kibo: The pope's no fool, either. He'll make sure that if it turns out he has been lied to in order to obtain supplies, something will probably... "happen" to the man who did the double-dealing.

Storm frowned.

"Poor Falchion. I hope he doesn't die from dysterya. That's just an embarresing way to go."
PostPosted: Wed Apr 18, 2007 7:57 pm

Falchion walks onto his deck, "Ah the open ocean. God this is gonna take a while." He looks over to a sailor who is just sitting around,"Dont you think you should be helping?"
"Well yes'r. But I....got a splinter."
"A splinter?"
"Never mind sir ll go back."
"Good.Raise the rest of the sails Im done with taking precaution. theres no hint of a storm so why not well get there in a week instead of three."

Kibo: I expect, if he's going to due at all, it'll either be at the hands of the pope's forces, or his own. The problem with having such a large crew is that there's that many more people to mutiny on you.
