"I'll have to go see them someday. When I can get away at least." He chuckled, head tilting as he smirked before glancing over his shoulder at the forest briefly. "They sound more impressive than when my dad explained it." He added, looking back to her.
Nodding suddenly at her last comment, he fluttered his wings slightly as a soft breeze kicked up. "I do know what the beach is. You can find some fun things to do down there." Settling his wings, he paced a few steps before stilling again and looking back to her. "Have you ever been to the beach that's next to the woods here?"

"Not that I can remember." She said, as the breeze ruffled her feathers, and picked up her mane. "The beach I know of, is near a river that runs into the ocean." She added.

"I can show you if you want. It's the one place my father lets me go by myself." He said almost with a touch of pride. It was a silly thing to be prideful of, but he'd only just grown up and it was the little things that counted.
"It's kinda rocky in places, and the lake isn't all that warm even in summer. But you can still find things that've washed up on shore or run through the water if you like." Indu said, head tilting as he stepped a few paces away, looking back to see if she was following him. "I've never been to a beach near the ocean before, so I don't know how it compares."

She followed close behind him, her wings loose by her sides. "The ocean is fun to fly over. I love the salty air, and it is good on hot summer days. Even on the shore, it is nice to watch the waves roll in." She said as she tossed her head, to get her forelock out of her eyes.

When he saw her following, he started walking once more, keeping a close eye on the ground for more of those dratted rabbit burrows. "The ocean is salty? That doesn't sound right." He chuckled as he paused so he could walk beside her, instead of infront of her.

"The ocean is very salty, and big." She said, somewhat surprised he didn't know the ocean was salty. "I haven't flown very far over it, but I have seen creatures swimming in it, some even jumping out of the water. Looked like fun." She said, as she watched him, and tried to avoid rabbit burrows.

"Huh." Came his rather unintelligent response. A big, salty pool of water sounded unnatural, but not that surpising to him really. He was pretty open minded about things, seeing as how he'd seen some pretty strange soquili before, his newest teepee mate being one of them. "I've seen fish jumping out of the water before, and some of the raccoons play on the shore, but nothing that strange. I can't imagine diving into the water, or at least going completely under it." He chuckled, glancing sideways at Tika, smirking slightly.

"Well I didn't dive in the water, but it did look like fun. I don't know what the creatures were, but they were friendly. I have only gone up into the water to my chest, I try not to get my wings wet, but a few waves have gotten me before." She said, giving an involuntary shiver, she hated dealing with wet feathers.

"Doesn't sound like fun. Getting soaked." He snorted with a shake of his head, shrugging a moment later. "But I've gone about as deep as my belly before. I didn't want to venture further out into the water." He chuckled, shrugging again. The water got deep after a bit and he didn't want to slip and get soaked.
"Wet feathers are a mess to deal with. They get all tangled for me somehow." He sounded vaguely annoyed as he said this, wings fluttering slightly. His dad had had to groom them clean for him, but he wasn't about to tell Tika that.
Nudging aside a branch, he let her pass before following after her, now within the cool shade of the forest. "It's just a little further, and cutting through the trees is the fastest way to get there."

"I was pulling seaweed from my feathers for a week after one wave hit me. But I do wish to swim sometime. When mine get wet, it takes a while to get them back into flight condition." She said as she trotted past him. She flicked back her ears, listening for what else might be in the forest, but only heard the usual birds.

"Seaweed? What's that?" He asked, giving her a curious look as he trotted back up beside her, leading her on a winding path through the towering trees. "I never through swimming was all that fun. Of course, the water's always too cold to really swim for long."

"It is a plant that grows in the ocean. It was right after a storm, so a lot of it had been pulled up and came in on the waves." She said, still listening to the birds with one ear, and him with the other.

"Things grow in the ocean? But you said it was all salty." He said, frowning slightly and ducking under a low branch, glancing back at her. Maybe he should try and get out more.
He was a grown stallion now and he should be able to go where he wanted. But he did kind of understand what he father was going through, Indu being his only son and all.

"Many things grow in the ocean. I don't know how to explain it. I suppose you would have to see it, to understand it." She said as she trotted over some roots, her head held low as she ducked under branchs. "You don't even have to go swimming to see some of the creatures. Many things live in small rocky pools along the shore."

"Maybe someday I will be able to. But for now, it's enough to have this forest to explore." He replied, voice amused as they wove their way through the trees.
"It should be just a little bit further." He murmured, nudging aside another branch. By now, there was the faint glimmer of water through the underbrush, the whispering sound of water nearby.
