Moses didn't answer the female and simply kept his bright crimson eyes closely on the grazing animals before turning to her, ears flickering back.
The look of a serious hunter pasted over his handsome features as he stood there, body close to the ground.

"This is your first lesson, princess." He said, voice as weak as a whisper as he turned his head back to look at the wildabeast that gnawed so lazily at their cud.
The male rolled his shoulders as he watched them for a moment before slowly taking a step out.

"Always keep down wind so they can't catch your scent." He said softly, he paused as he took another few steps towards the grazers and stopped.
Rolling his shoulders as he watched them before suddenly shot out from the grass like a bolt of white lightning, letting out an equally terrifying roar as he rushed towards the animals.
The herbivores letting out the scream of a terrified animal as Moses showed the speed he delivered when he saved Afritti's life from the vulture so long ago.
In a flash, the lion now pinned one of the creatures down, growling softly before he turned and then called back to the female.

"COME OVER HERE!!!"

Afritti watched the larger male carefully, her dark violet eyes taking his every move with prestine precision. Of course when he went for the creature her eyes could not move fast enough. he was like a bolt of lightning and she couldn't help but be pulled along in his wake. Her paws did what they needed to do to follow after the handsome dark maned Moses, her claws eating up the ground.

When Moses pinned the beast down she only paused for a moment, hearing his voice her claws unsheathed she grasped at the herbivores rear. She had never hunted in her known life but she knew how to incur pain on another creature, it was somehting she had seen ehr father do before. She had watched on multiple occassions when he tortured another until they were broken.

She used those techniquies now only with blood pouring in to her mouth as she dug tooth and claw in to the beast. She was hungry and caught up in the thrill of this, her first kill.

Moses' large bulk weighed the creature down and watched the female progress as she ripped into the flesh of the animal while it still breathed and screamed it's pain filled screams.
The male almost cracked a smirk at Afritti's enthusiasm and clawed the side of the creature before he stared into the female's eyes, his own burning with the passion she'd only saw once he'd killed the bird that had dared to try and take her life.

"That's it...feel the instinct rush through your body, revel in the adrenaline and in the power you hold over your kill and now, the ultimate in the hunters pleasure.."
He said, his voice silky and smooth as it had always been, but now, with so much strength, so much dark, foreboding pasison as he moved the creatures head to reveal it's tender neck.
The veins throbbing beneath the skin of the frightened animal as it trembled beneath the lions weight.
He then turned back to her and narrowed his eyes, not in an angry way, in an almost...pleased way...

"Take it's neck...place your fangs into it's flesh and rip it out...end it's life and claim it as your first kill...Afritti." He had called her by her name.
He hadn't called her princess...did this mean he stayed with her because he wanted to stay with her?
All questions would be answered for her later...all there was, for now, was her kill and her well known destiny to take place the role all females in her species did.
The Huntress.

Afritti was not shy to tear and render at the beast, she could feintly hear Moses' voice in her ears past the dull throbbing of her heart in her ears. She had gone far past her usual hortyness, taken in the moment of the kill, feeling the splatter of small veins as they tore under her claws. Her eyes locked with deep red as she looked up at Moses and for a moment, there was silence, there was only those eyes and she wanted to hold that second for the rest of forever but his words broke her gaze and the sight of that throat pulled her upwards.

Scaling the beast all of her claws drawn her fangs already bloody, she grazed past Moses her cheek brushing his as her jaws opened wide and she grabbed their victims throat, as she bit down and tore backwards blood filled her mouth and splattered all over her face, her white lips turned blood red in less than a second, her dsalmon bangs becoming tarnished but she did not seem to care, she held on tight,s he could feel the creature kicking beneath her as it slowly drew it's last gurgling breaths, it's own throat filled with the sickly thick liquid which washed down her chin and chest.

A slow growl of happiness echoes in her chest as the creature took it's last struggling kick and fainted away, her jaw felt like it would never unlock from it's deathly grip. But she heard her name, it had been many moments before when Moses had said it, but the words suddenly whispered in to her ears and her lips pursed to release th beast her violet eyed gaze turning up to meet red. "Thankyou..Moses." She swallowed the words as if they were hard to say. She remembered the last time she had thanked him, a creature had died that day too and it's blood had painted the oasis red.

Licking her maw she caught herself stareing at the pale ghostly figure of Moses. He was so handsome and for a long moment she felt a bond to him that was nothing to do with slavery or obedience, she didn';t wnat to leave him for all the right reasons. She loved him.

The thought made the fur on her neck raise and she quickly turned her gaze to the creature they had killed together, she could smell blood and her own adreneline heavy in the air and somehting else, something she had never smelled before something that made her tingle all over. She tried to shake off the feeling her tongue lapping at her paws and chest, though it was a pointless endeavour to clean dirty paws whens he knew she must eat in a moment and mar her coat forther. She was nervous, Moses felt so close, so dangerous,s he was hungry and frightened even, her whole body tingled, the fur down her spine lifting on end. She willed the wilderbeast to do something to interrupt her silence, but all it did was lay dead and bleeding.

Taking in a deep breath she tried to lift her head, to regain that feeling of superiority, but under Moses' gaze she felt tiny like a cub once more with her larger protector. She wasn't sure if she liked this feeling it was strange to her...

The male simply watched with eager anticipation as he stepped off the creature and kept his deep eyes watching the female with a keen interest he'd never known before.
Growing up with her, he watched her kill small animals...animals not really worth his recognition unless they threatened his ward...his 'job'.

As she spoke, his ears perked atop the large amount of black fur that almost hid them and he nodded towards her respectfully before he stepped towards her...so close to her as he stared into her eyes.

"You're more than welcome." He said, voice like a whisper against her form as he stood there and then moved to tear a hunk of flesh from their kill and then stared at her.

She had grown so much, no longer the killer of small animals...no...she was a huntress, her muzzle smothered in blood and the smell of both their adrenaline in the air.
He took a deep breath and then moved to give the smaller female the hunk of flesh as he watched her closely.

"Here."

As Moses gave her the chunk of flesh she laughed in a rather girlie fashion. "Still spoon feeding me Moses." She whispers, her own voice lost in her throat, the words so airy a passing breeze may have spoken them rather than her. She had never been so quiet around Moses, She was always selfcentered, strong, empowered, she had a large sence of self, yet here she was being a meek little lioness around a male she had known her whole life. Shaking her head she bent down to her haunches and chewed te meat she had been offered quietly her mind working through what exactly it was she was supposed to do now? Like all animals she could feel when somehting was going to happen. Something was going to happen and she couldn't stop it no matter how unusual.

Having eaten the chunk of meat she sat up and sat against Moses, her head tucked under his chin while she groomed her paws. She wondered why she had done this, it wasn't like this was a comfortable possition to groom oneself, his mane was getting in her way, though this soon became an irrelevent matter as she found herself grooming his long black mane instead of her own bloody maw and chest.

She caught herself in the act far too late and was tempted to pull away only, she couldn't. This was one of those defining moments in her life, she knew it she just didn't know what was going to happen. She had been with Moses since, well forever, she honestly couldn't remember not having the pale male at her side. So what had changed over this one kill? She wasn't sure but what ever it was, it was going to happen, she couldn't help but shiver, she wasn't cold, it was his scent mingled with hers heavy in the air around them. What was going to happen?

The quietness of her voice caught him off guard and he sat there, watching her closely as she ate and cleaned herself off...still the same female...his eyes closed as she enjoyed her food and he just took in the bright rays of diminishing sunlight.
He too felt it...the feeling of something going to happen, of suspense and it put him on high alert for what might happen...he didn't know himself...but...he felt it had something to do with this small frame so close to his.

Moses had caught her grooming him, turning his head to stare deeply into this female's indigo eyes as he sat there and loomed over her like he always had.
His bright, crimson orbs staring deep into her, into her soul...into her heart and a small rumbling purr ran out from his maw.
He showed no emotion, nor facial expression as he leaned forward and gently lapped over her muzzle and tasting the blood of her kill before he returned to staring into her eyes as the last rays of light disapeared over the horizon.

Now he knew what was going to happen...

Falling in to those deep red eyes, the princess of the oasis let a soft sigh escape her maw. Leaning forwards her nose gently touhed his and she smiled. This was not her usual smile, not her smirk or a sarcastic smile followed by some quip of a laugh, this was a coy smile. She watched as the fadeing light played over his pale body, his dark mane shimmering with the golden rays of the setting sun. It was time for what ever was going to happen, to happen she couldn't stop this feling in ehr body, the wish for him to be hers, the longing to say that which she knew she never could. Nudging under his chin she let out a gentle growl in reply to his puurr, she was ready.

She sat in silence for a long moment, letting the golden rays play in her violet eyes before she stood and turned flickering her tail under his nose she retreated back in to the jungle from whence they had come. She knew he would follow and then they would return to the kill and feast. Something had changed between them, she knew it and she let her instincts, for once be her guide.
