TB OOC Io - Io got the joys of being the first test subject for design, tags and all that fun stuff. I've had to go back and fix her stuff from time to time and the other masque's get what's been fixed from trial runs with her. as a kid, she got dressed in character ice's clothes, why they looked so big on her and she had no shoes. that and i didn't like doing shoes at the time. her mask is black w/ feathers and a little beaded band thing on her. originally it was deisgned to have a stone. then it was decided to have stone items later and i was planning on attaching them to the masque's pic. but once i started doing the stones, i deceided not too... as a teen, she was the first for me to figure out how to place a larger person on the same size tag. but her outfit changed to a sport bra w/ a simi-transpart shirt and casual purple flame pants. and still no shoes. Cern - this kid was the first to benifit from io's trials. as i recall... ice and i were a little worried about who would get this guy. i can still remember how freaking happy Everdark was when she got him ^^ that was the greatest. as a kid, and an earth element, he was dirty. dirt was just drawn to him. when i was working on him i kept thinking of a country boy. someone who enjoyed being out doors and was nice to others. and the boy is shoeless, also. as a teen..... i had no clue what to do for him, but there was a running joke w/ him in a kilt so i decided to go scottish w/ him. bring out the kilt. he also has Sporan on him (sporan word brought to you by Merci!) and that kilt was a pain in the butt to do too! *sighs* it's a shame that ED got busy with moving, school, work and is currently netless. poor eddo.... Satehl - he has one complicated mask.... o_O but he turned out cool ^_^ he went to uta, who is like ed and currently away from gaia because of school, work and moving out... *sighs* as a kid.... he was punk boy! tattared cloths, ripped sleeved shirt and a rat tail! he was so hyper that it fit him well ^^ sadly... he wasn't able to go teen b4 uta had to go. but she'll be back sometime! i hope... I had wanted to do a female one of this element... but ice decided she only wanted one of each element. he also doesn't have shoes....... Saniya - The water girl ^_^ not really much to say about her, other than her mask was fun to do! It has this shimmer thing going which I loved. As a child, I went with a more classic singer type style. Dunno why, I think I was going with the who "Sirens are singers!" thing O_o. But as I was coloring her... she reminded me of a smirf(sp) with her light blue skin. I resisted the urge to give her blonde hair, and with with an aqua/blue-green hair color. Jonah - he was one of my fav mask designs. him and his currly things 3nodding but sadly his gaurdian didn't rp him much after he turned to a kid, and she stopped comming by and all..... since these are high rp pets, ice made the decision to give him to someone new. and a small comp was held for our... well, not lurkers since they played in the rp also.... anyway, Pam got him ^^ as a kid, he's the first and only red head o_O when i started on him, i wanted to do a red head, and was aiming for his name sake, a classic clothing style. it reminded ice of a vampire, too. he's the first masque to have shoes. Ashirha - her design reminds me of those headhunters from the felix the cat movie..... or where they body hunters? Everything I look at her mask, I think that. When I was working on her child form, I was thinking Harly Quinn(sp) from Batman. Also threw in a little of a "normal" jester thing in there, when can be seen with the "puff" in the soulders and all. As a teen.... I went for a more Harly Quinn with a "She is beautiful and athletic!" thing... O_o don't ask... Just what came to me. THe front of her outfit is more detailed. I doodled it out as I was working on her. I'll have to dig up the pic from my laptop... (I drew her and Fauve teens while in a hurricane... er... before power died and once it was back). [edit] Ok, Ashy's out fit from there front, here. Fauve - Her mask was the most irritating mask to make. I hate patterns >_< I had to redo the "checker/diamond" pattered about 4 times before I got it right. I didn't intend for Fauve and Ashy to be sisters, but Ice had called them that, since they were both jesters and their gaurdians went with it. I think it worked out well ^^ As a child, I went with a "china doll" theme for her with a velvet dress that had lace trimming. I love the girl's shoes, those turned out really well ^^; As a teen.... well, didn't really have a new theme/out fit idea for her. It was just a more adult version of her dress, showing how pretty she is and all ^^ So it's made the same way as her old dress with simular shoes.

TB OOC Con Shiva - Her mask was soooo pretty ^^ that was my first impression when I finished her. Originally, that vilot-white wasn't her color. I had done her in a differnet color, then just changed the color scale to fit for a diamond mask. As a child..... she was the hardest to do >_< Her gaurdian saw her in a kimono, but at the time, I already had a kimono one planned.... and given that the dragon masque are gaurds, she needed armor. So, I spent several days trying to figure out what to do for her till I decided to go with an elven theme for her. Elven stuff is sposta be beautiful and still strong. So, yeah, that was my theme for her child self. There's also a little Sango-ness (from InuYasha) going on with her look, also. As a teen, I changed the armor, gave her chain mail under it (there's a cloth out fit under that, chain mail would pinch after all) and jeans. While I was doing her, I got the impression of an attitude thing. like she's sweet, kind and all round nice to all those who are her friends and family. But she's also protective of them. You mess w/ them and she's going to hurt you. I also got the impresion she wont back down from helping/trying to protect someone else.

Something I should have done a long time ago... updating this thing.... Quote: Trinityblue *someplace else, int the woods near the ruins trin works* He watched her walk through the forest, as she had done many times before - going between the camp site and the old ruins of a life lost. That seemed to be her job with these people, digging up the masks of his people and raising them. In a group. The raising was all well and good, he wanted his people back. It was just the group thing that didn't appeal to him, which was why he never stuck around or told his chosen that she was his (or was that he was hers?). So he watched her as he grew up alone in his forest, apart from the rest of the Masque. And it was a good thing too. That group seemed to draw trouble like a moth to a flame and the last time he was with a group, he got a mask stuck on him. Seishuko shook his head a little as he caught himself thinking too much on old things. They didn't matter right now. His gaurdian on the other hand, did. He watched as she tugged at the thorn bush that had snagged her bag, the one filled with stones she was collecting and bringing to the camp. Trin cursed lightly as she gave another hard tug on her bag only to have it keep hold. "Stupid bush!" she exclaimed, though softly. This was Rade land and they would hear her if she made herself obvious. She gave another hard pull, putting her weight into it. The thorn bush let go, causing the tailed girl to go falling down a small hill, backwards, her bag flying through the air and just missing Sei. The masked teen glanced at the bag then to where his gaurdian had fallen. She was curled up under a tree, unmoving except for her breathing. He sighed silently to himself as went over to her, checking to see if she was ok. To his relief she was, just out cold. Sei looked around the forest. He know this was the Rade's (as they called themselves) land and his chosen wouldn't be safe here. Reluctantly he picked her up, draping her over a sholder and holding her there with one arm. In his other hand was large walking staff. With another sigh to himself, Seishuko started to walk towards the camp, where she would be safe and where other's could tend to her. As he walked through the woods, he heard the not-so-cautious sounds of another person in the woods. Normally, he would ignore it but if it was one of the camp's residents, then he could leave his chosen with him or her and not have to go into the camp, where there were even more people around. Sei went to where the other person was, noticing how it was the white female that his chosen hung around often, when she was in camp. He nodded to himself, she would be a good person to leave his gaurdian with. Course he would have left her with anyone of other gaurdians he had seen. He stepped out of the bushes, making sure to make some noise so that the white female would look at him. Trin was still draped over his shoulder and he tried to look as nonthreatening as possible in his bronze mask. If that was possible. ((and so is tb's adtempt to get back into the rping. this guy will be coming and going, like me ^^; *hopes no one minds* meet seishuko: he grew up on his own, like lyra, is a loner and prefers it that way o_O and.... he's kinda on the mute side. he can use telepathy, but it's very simplestic.... you'll find out just a bit more soon 3nodding )) Ice Queen Ice jerked at the sound, her hand reaching for her broadsword as her eyes went wide. "TB..." She muttered, pulling her blade out. "What did you do to TB?" Her sister was knocked out, her daughter couldn't swallow, her pirate was in pain... What in the hell was wrong with this week? "Damn... you're a masque. How can a masque tell me what happened?" Trinityblue Well.... damn... Seishuko thought to himself as the white one pulled out her weapon. This was not going how he wanted it. Now she thought he did something to TB. He glanced at the girl then back to Ice, trying to figure out what to do. He made a physical sigh, his broad shoulds dropping a bit as he let out a breath of air. One problem after another. Oh well, it was better than a whole mess of people thinking he did something to his chosen. Sei kept his eyes on Ice as he slowly moved closer, careful not to make any sudden movements. Right now she was acting like a wild, wounded animal, ready to lash out at anyone. But he was tired of carrying TB around, she was starting to get heavy on his shoulder and he was off balance. Once he got close enough to Ice with out entering her sword range he knelt down, gently placing TB on the ground and backing away, watching the white one the whole time. He was anxious to get back to his woods and the sooner he knew Ice would take her, the better. Ice Queen Ice looked at him for a second, then crouched down next to TB looking for wounds. She wasn't bleeding, but-- She reached out, touching the back ot TB's head. There was a bump. She swayed slightly, remembering that she was still holding her blade. "I can't carry her, but maybe I can rift..." She said, looking up at the masque. "Who are you, anyways? I thought I knew all the masques... Especially ones your age." She stopped, cursing as she realized he wouldn't be able to answer even if he wanted to, and reached forward, opening a rift. Then she stopped, her eyes sliding back into her head as she slumped forward, the rift closing before it was fully open. Ice was unconscious, the stress of rifting across the planet then trying to rift TB more then her body could handle. Trinityblue ... Life was just not being fair to him. He looked at the two unconscious females for a moment then sighed, again, heading towards them both. Now he had two to haul back to their camp, all because he was eager to get rid of one. Sei knelt and picked Trin back up, draping her on his shoulder once more, then picked up Ice, draping her over the other shoulder. He frowned as he started to walk to the camp. The white one was at least twice as heavy as his chosen. He'd rather haul around logs then these two. Then again, he would have gotten splinters from logs on top of a backache. Doing this he just got a backache. Once Seishuko got to the edge of camp and past one of the unfenced areas, he looked around, trying to find the best way to get to their house without being seen. If the others reacted the same as Ice, he was in for double the trouble. Carefully and walked out into the open, heading as quickly as possible to the house without running. I'm not here, they can't see me. I'm not here, they can't see me..... why couldn't I have had invisibility??? Sei mentally chanted and he neared the place and leaned his shoulder against the wall. He knew other Masque couldn't hear his mental words, less he wanted to. Much like the other non-Masque couldn't, less he really tried to. Something which he did not enjoy. Sei opened the door of the small house, using one of his silence spells to make sure there was no noise as he did so and entered, closing the door behind him and gave a sigh of relief now that he was no longer out in the open. Course, then sigh also almost made him fall over, forgetting Ice's weight. Readjusting her, he made his way over to a couch and laid TB on it, carefully before he started to lay Ice on the ground beside her, removing the sword. He knew it was what was doubling her weight..... but he didn't care. She was still heavier than his gaurdian. Ice Queen MOM!! Io shouted, the blackness of unconsciousness hitting her hard. She turned, looking at Shiva. Mom--Ice--My gaurdian, she's-- I gotta go. With that she turned and raced towards the camp as fast as her legs could carry her. She slammed the door open, staring in shock at the man standing over Ice and TB. What did you do to them? Who are you? I know you can understand me, so ANSWER ME! Trinityblue Seishuko cursed, spinning around as he heard the door slam open, his brown eyes wide with fear. She took him by surprise, that was for sure. He should have known Io would know the moment her chosen blacked out. He glanced at his walking stick which was near leaning against the wall near the door. It was too far away to be of any use now. He looked back at Io, in her angry eyes, hoping no one else came with her as he tried to figure out what and how to tell her what was going on. All that he was really able to do was mentally send jumbled flashes of images. Trin falling down, the blurry image of her under a tree unmoving, then the image of Ice and her holding a weapon, followed by her on the ground near TB, also unmoving. Ice Queen Io blinked, feeling the images rush over her so quickly that she felt slightly sick. He was powerful, confusing, but powerful, and the fact that he was scared made him over-project slightly. Wait! Stop! Slow down! She said, bringing her hands to her temples. You're going too fast for me... I got something about TB falling, and Ice having her weapon... But... I still don't know who you are. Or how you knew to bring them HERE. She motioned to the house. This place looks like ever other house here.Trinityblue Sei paused a moment, noticing how no one was going to see what was going on or had heard Io. That's good, so far. And his imaging seems to work better now that they all have developed their own telepathy. It must have been the magic that holds the mask on. Meh, he'd think that through later. He frowned a bit behind his mask, trying to figure how explain to her. He looked back at Io, trying to stay calm and go slower as he sent more images to her. The blurry image of TB walking through the woods, to this house, back out to the woods came first. Tb's face and the house she went into stood out the clearest. Then came images of the others at camp, going about their lives. Some images were of them in the woods. Ice Queen It was better, she thought, thinking what had just happened over. So you've been watching us... my aunt... But I've never seen you, and if Ice brought out her weapon then she's never seen you, either. She sighed, her head killing her, the problems of the last few days more then she could handle. Why have you been following my aunt? She finally asked, trying to think. Is she-- She stopped, a strange idea occuring to her. Did she wake you up? I mean, you're a masque, someone must have... and since Mom never brought you here...Trinityblue He shrugged with a light nod. That was about how it worked with him. He looked around the room and at the two females who were dead to the world. Both would be having headaches when they woke, for different reasons. Seishuko was getting tired of being here. He was already starting to feel stuffy to him. He gave Io another nod, then swiftly stepped past her, grabbing his staff as he opened the door and took off in a run for the woods, his tattered brown cape flowing behind him. He ran in the first direction he could, only to stop short before he ran into the small blue mask child and her choosen. He darted past them, cursing to himself for being seen like that as he vanished into the bushes. He kept running till he felt safe, after nearly running into the group that was returning to the camp but he was able to avoid them, at least. Ice Queen Io stared after him, confused. If TB was his guardian, like his nod had suggested... then why had she never met him? And she didn't remember him from the past, either. She absently hugged herself, feeling her body shake slightly from the tense situation. He hadn't spoken, well, he had, but only in pictures. And he had been more powerful telepathically then any of the others, including her. Sending images took a lot more power then words. She jerked, remembering the unconscious women in the front room and headed back in to get two cups of water. They would have to be woken, after all.

Quote: Io headed into the woods, her eyes on the ground, focusing on what looked like footsteps. They were faint, and the grass and vines covering the ground were rapidly recovering. But she was determined to find him. She wanted to know more about the man that clamed to be her aunt's masque. She took another step, blinking and cursing silently as she realized the trail had gone cold. She looked up, then around, scowling as she realized something. Io was lost. Seishuko watched Io from his place in the bushes. Why was it that everyone seemed to get lost in his woods...? Oh well, he couldn't blame them. He had gotten lost several times before, till he finally relearned his way around the place. He gave a sigh and moved silently more out in the open, sitting on a fallen log, watching and waiting for her to see him. Io cursed herself, if she hadn't seen him in this time, then he probably wasn't about to come out and say "Hi!" She snickered at the very thought, turning to look and see if anything appeared familiar. Only to blink as she caught sight of Sei sitting on the log. 'I wanted to talk to you.' She said, squaring her jaw. She wouldn't be afraid of him. He was just another masque. Just like her... Just like Lyra. The thought made her hesitate. He blinked at her. Talking wasn't really his best aspect.... but people seemed to need it. He guessed she needed an explination... he should have know he couldn't have kept his presence a secert forever... 'Come,' Sei spoke ever so softly to Io as he stood up and started to walk deeper into the woods, heading towards his home. She watched him for a second, then quickly followed, unable to help herself. She usually liked being alone, but in this case something told her she wouldn't have been alone for long. This was Rade territory. She almost stumbled over a rock one time, but kept going, determined she would find out what she wanted to know. Who was he? Why was he way out here? And if he was TB's masque... did she know? After some time they came to a small shack of a house. It looked weather with time, though some spots were repaired, and there were vines growing over it. The windows were a little dirty, but whole and there were verious object that he used for working hanging on the pourch. The house faced a small gardan that had started to grow and near there was a well, it's bucket waiting on the side to be used, as well as a smaller shack with wood chopped and pilled up beside it. Sei lead the girl to his house, slowing his steps so that she could look around, if she wanted too. Once to the door he opened it, stepping in and started to take off his cloak, leaning his staff against the cluttered table that had a tin box half open in the center. The inside of his house looked worse than the outside. There were more objects cluttered around or hanging on the wall, most of them were tools but some things were furr from animals that he would later used to make something or other. He gustered to a chair that was at the table, offering her a seat as he went to get a kettle. He wasn't good haveing a guest over.... and he had not had someone come in a very very long time. Making a hot drink was the only thing he could think of doing. Io sat down, looking around, then watching him as he worked. 'You left pretty fast back there... Didn't you want to see if Aunt Trinity was all right?' She asked, 'Or do you just not care?' She stopped, wondering if that was the case with some of the other masques. 'They aren't our real parents, after all... In fact, my father--' She stopped, not sure why she was about to tell him something that personal. Sei paused a moment after hanging the kettle over the fire and looked at her. No, he wasn't worried about his chosen, it was just a bump on the head and she would be fine. But as for why he didn't want to be there, Sei looked Io in the eyes once more. The image of all those at the camp being around him, and him finding a way to be away from them. Then came the image of him, breathing a sigh of releif once far away from the others. He left alone the last thing she said. If she wanted to say more on it, should would. 'Yeah... I have that problem sometimes, too.' Io said, relaxing. His explanation worked, she guessed. And she was just so tired of fighting. He hadn't once made an agressive motion, and if he had, she was sure it would have been before putting water to boil... Somehow she couldn't picture a guy that ran in fright of crowds as being a vicious villain. 'It's not that big a group, you know...' She said half-heartedly. 'Don't you get lonely out here?' Sei could see her tiredness and just relaxed in his chair, glancing at the kettle now and then. He smiled under the mask, here we go with the lonely issue again, but at least this time is was true concern. He shrugged and used the image of the young blue Rade that was normally with TB, padding around his home. After another moment he got out of the chair and used a mitt to get the kettle off the hook, setting it on the table. Then went to a shelf on the wall, bringing down two cups that didn't match, checking them to make sure they were clean. Once satisfied, he set them down on the table and reached over to another box, digging into a small pouch, pulling out two more smaller pouches that had a thin fabric on them and a string groming from them. His tea. Placing one of this small pouches in a cup, he poured in some hot water and gently placed it before Io, making his own before still back and watching her. He gave her the image of her laying down in a bed. His way of asking why she was tired. Io took the cup, trying to figure out what the image was about. Somehow she didn't think it was sexual. Was he asking-- 'No, I'm fine. I just need some... alone time.' She said, looking down at her drink for a few minutes. 'You... do I know you? I feel like I might, or I should, but...' Sei watched her still, Io had her eyes. He gave the image of being out in the woods, near a creek. The image was a calming one, to him atleast. He gave a nod to her and glanced at the tin box that sat on the table, then picked up his tea, sipping it. It still puzzled him as too how the food or drink got into his mouth when there was a mask in the way. It seemed to only work if he wanted it too, for things like dirt or bugs that flew too close to his mouth didn't get in. But he had come to accept this, as he did other things. She was uncomfortable with his silent survey, so she stood, taking her tea with her to look around. 'So I know you, I just don't remember you...' She mused, not really expecting a response. The man was certainly quiet. 'Can you at least tell me your name?' She asked, her eye catching on a tin box. It was pretty, with ornate designs on the cover. She reached out, running a finger over it before turning to look at him again. Sei thought a moment before sending his name over. 'Seishuko' the female voice rang like a musical tone, one filled with care. His sister's voice, as he remembered it. It had been a while since he had head his own name. Well... almost a while anyway. He then sent the image of Io looking into the box. Stating that she could, if she wanted too, before he went back to his tea. The voice that he sent made her jerk, going pale beneath her mask. She KNEW that voice, she just couldn't... couldn't place it. It was just at the edge of her mind, making her shiver slightly, as if on the brink of a great discovery. Then the image of her looking in the box caught her off guard, making her turn and open the latch. She stopped, her heart stopping for a second at the first picture. It was of a pregnant woman, and in her arms-- 'Me...' She whispered, her voice catching in her throat as her heart started pounding. 'HOW do you have this? WHY do you have this? Who are you?' She asked, turning on him, the picture in her hand. Sei looked up at her. Maybe this was a bad idea.... She might not be ready to know... and if she wasn't, with the mask on, he would be in no condition to help her.... 'Clam, shhhhh, look more,' his mental voice soothed. But was she ready to look more.....? He watched her worriedly before he took the box, reaching in and pulling out another picture. This one of a boy and a girl with the same hair out in a middow, the girls arms around the boy's neck. He hoped this explained something. His hair, at least, had not changed that much.... Io looked at the picture blankly for a few minutes before handing it to him silently and turning away. Somehow this man had known her mother when they were children. Either friends, or maybe family. The two looked somewhat similar. That meant there was a good chance she was related to this strange man. She hugged herself, not really having a high opinion of family at the moment. Her father was a child, who didn't even know who she was. Her sister was a-- Well, she didn't want to think of her sister. And Lyra was somewhere around, already starting to cause chaos from the shadows. 'I... I should leave now.' She said simply, taking a step for the door. Sei blinked at her. Well, that was a better reaction than he had hoped. He watched as she headed for the door, but he was quiet ready for her to leave yet... It had been a long while since he had been able to visit with her. 'Stay,' He asked quietly. 'Talk with me, rest.' He gave her the image of her tea that was still warm. Hopeing she would stay at least as long as a cup of tea. Io looked like she needed some time away from everyone. That everyone would include him, he knew..... but he didn't care. 'If you're going to give me some long lost family bullshit, don't bother. I've done alright on my own.' She said harshly, still not looking at him. 'And I don't feel much like talking to anyone at the moment. Especially not another masque.' She turned, looking at him then. 'So far all I've seen are oblivious idiots that don't even think about the fact they're still stuck in these damn masks. And you, where were you when we were being attacked? Maybe not for the curse, but lately. I was almost killed the other day. Where were you?' She stopped, cursing herself for even asking. 'Never mind. I don't want to know.' She turned and headed for the door. Sei strightened as he stood, thinking carefully about what he should do next. Carefully he sent the images in a flash, one slow enough so that she could comprehind what she saw. First were images of TB digging, images from when he was in a mask state, them to him hiding from, following her to the camp. then images of the woods, his old house, him rebuidling his old house, mixed in with images of the other's at the camp, and Io as she walked alone. More images of him watching after Trin as she walked through the woods, narrowly advoiding Rade. Then came the image of the fight she last had with Silva. 'Watched. If..... I felt you could not... handle your self... against him.... would have.. stepped in sooner.' The image shifted, as if the view was about to move forward, only to stop and look as more came. 'Others came then.' The the female voice, the memory voice, came, '"You know... I can't always be here too look out for you. You're going to have to learn how to protect yourself! But don't worry, when things get really bad for you... I'll come and bail you out, like normal!"' the voice happily as it faded out, though it was obviously going to continue. Sei reached over for his cloak, starting to put it on. If she was ready to go, then he might as well lead her out safely. Io stopped, listening to his words, then shrugging. She didn't know if he could have done anything, even if he had been there. She shouldn't care, really. It had happened before, it would probably happen again. This planet wasn't safe. If she couldn't take care of herself then she was out of luck. She didn't say anything as he grabbed his cape, knowing that she wouldn't be able to find her way home. She merely waited for him to lead the way, not really wanting to go back to the camp, but not wanting to stay. She was confused, and she needed some alone time. To think. Sei took his walking stick as he headed out the door, waiting for her to step out. Once she did, he closed the door behind him and started to walk in the direction of camp. He kept his pace slow and was purposely taking the long way to camp. He also kept the sounds they made silent, so any passing Rade would not hear them. Rades were, after all, attracted first to sound, then smell. As they walked, he kept quiet, occasionally glancing at the girl beofre looking back forawrd. She was starting to turn out like her aunt, in many many was. He frowned at that thought. One Lyra was enough as it was. 'I... I'm sorry.' She said quietly, watching the ground. 'I've been having a difficult time lately. But I shouldn't take it out on you. I just... I just don't know who to trust right now. My father doesn't remember me, my sister betrayed me, and my aunt... I don't know what to think of my aunt sometimes.' She sighed slightly, stopping as she realized they were in territory she knew. 'The only one I trust is my guardian, and she's never home. She's always off trying to save the world, or one of those jester sisters, or fighting or being kidnapped, or--' She stopped, shrugging. 'Being Ice.' He paused when she stopped, listening to what she had to say. Normally he wouldn't do this. Normally he wouldn't bother taking someone the long way, to let them think then get off of their chest what was bothering them. There were only a small few he would do that with. Io happened to be one fo them. Sei gave a nod of understanding before reaching out and nudging her chin up, gently. 'I remember much,' He said to her before bringing his hand away. 'Not fully alone.' She nodded, looking away from him, her hands shoving into her pockets. 'It gets worse.' She went on, almost dryly. 'I remember some things, but no one else does in the group. I'm so sick of not being able to ask them why they aren't who they used to be. And even if I did they would just look at me like I was crazy...' Then she blinked, looking at him, unconscious hope in her eyes. 'Come back with me, Seishuko. I need someone around that remembers. That I... that I can talk to.' Sei could understand why they were not the same as they used to be. They weren't raised the same, after all. He, Lyra and from what it sounded like, Io, all pretty much raised themselves. Io was a little different from what he could remember of her. His thoughts were suddenly cut off when Io had asked him to come back with her. He simply stared at her, taking a small set back, almost as if he was about to run away. Go back? Where there are others?! Hell no!! Nothing in this world- Again his thoughts stopped as he saw the hope in her eyes, and he cracked, his shoulders slumping a bit. Io had once more been one of the few he'd do things for. Fate either suddenly decided to stop favoring him or fate had cought up with him. Either way, he was doomed. Gave her another look, forcing more words to form, 'I have to.. stay long...?' He asked, worriedly. If she wanted to talk to him, she could always enter the woods and call out for him. 'You have to at least talk to Aunt TB. She needs to know she's your guardian, even if it's kind of late in the game.' Io replied, feeling reluctant to push him too far. Who knew better how claustraphobic the camp got then her? 'Then you can leave.' She finished. Sure, she would love to have him around, but he was free... far more free then she was. And she wouldn't take that away from him. Seishuko nodded. That was about the best he was going to get... and he didn't feel like abandoning her, after all. As long as he was allowed to leave when he wished, he would be fine. Or so he told himself. He gave a visible sigh and started walking again, his feet dragging a little more. Well, the sooner he got this over with, the better. He wondered how his chosen would react to him.

Quote: Trinityblue Trin sat at the table in the house she shared with Ice, polishing one of the stones she had gotten the other day, after Charlie retreved the bag for her. Charlie was happy enough laying in the floor, right where the sun could hit him. "So.... what is it that Io doesn't want me to know, Icey?" She asked, curiously, placeing another stone down in a pile of same colors and picked up a new one, started to clean that one off. ____________________ *in the woods* Sei kept walking forward, though he knew what was about to come. People. In large groups... If he was lucky, no one would get curious in him and come and see what was going on. He'd prefer it that way. He turned slightly to look at Io, hopeing she would know this part of the woods and lead the way. They were close enough now that one could see a clearing beyond the woods. Ice Queen Ice blinked, close to stuttering as she tried to come up with a good reply. Io didn't want TB to know about the new masque, and she trusted her daughter more then she trusted most people. In fact, she didn't trust many people unless they were family. But TB was her sister, and-- "She'll tell you when she tells you." Ice replied, finally, shrugging. "You know how Io is." ******************* Io amost ran into Sei as he paused, then stopped, looking at him for a second and sighing. Without a word she reached over, grabbing his hand and almost dragging him towards the home base. You can't chicken out now.Trinityblue "...." TB paused in her cleaning and looked at Ice. "You're a lousey sister, you know that? Since when do you keep things from me! ..... Other than cookies...." She sighed and went back to work. "... Is is animal, vegetible or minural...?" Trin couldn't help it. She was curious! Guessing was a good way to go about it. ************** He allowed her to drag him, giving her the image of a chicken with his cape running into the woods and dissappearing. He wasn't chickening out.... but now that she mentioned it, it was a good idea of what to do, and he would too! That is... if she wasn't his neice he would....
Sei was already resigned in the fact he would have to do this, sooner or later. Ice Queen "I'm not... keeping, so to say... as much as not GIVING." Ice replied, nodding as if that made perfect sense. "This is something Io needs to tell you." Or better yet, the new masque. She finished silently, frowning and looking towards the door. "I wonder how everyone's been doing lately..." ******************* Io blinked, then bit back a laugh, still tugging him and pointing towards the houses in the distance. If TB isn't there still we'll have Ice rift us to her. She said as they reached the garden area. She needs to know, Uncle Sei. You're... she's your chosen, right? That means there's some sort of bond. And having one side not know about a bond is unfair.Trinityblue "... You're still a lousy sister...." TB muttered and then rolled her eyes and the converstation change. "And you're changing the subject." She sighed, "I'm not sure..... but I figure if there's anything bad going on, you'd be the first one informed....." ********** Sei scratched the back of his head with his other hand, still managing to hold on to his staff as he did it. He hadn't thought of it that way.... And she was right.
His neices were always good at guilt trips.... That's another reason he could never tell them no. Ice Queen "That's what I was afraid of." Ice replied, sighing and looking out at the camp. "Whatever happened to the days we could hand over the planet and let the people deal with all the problems themselves?" She stopped, seeing her daughter and the new masque approaching in the distance, blinking at the sight of them holding hands. Huh...**************** There's the house. It doesn't look like there's many people here, so this should be easy. Io said, heading into the town, still not letting go of Sei's hand. There are some I would rather not deal with, myself. She finished, tugging him a little faster at that thought. Trinityblue Trin sighed. "You can never sit till long, can you? No wonder you're running all over the place. But for now, they need us, later on, they may not, ya know? Then we can go off and be space pirates!" She said happily, setting down another stone. TB blinked seeing Ice look at something. "What is it?" She then looked in the direction her sister was, seeing Io walking with a mask she had seen some place before.... but where...? Sei would have asked what was bothering Io, however he spotted his chosen and her sister, watching them. He could also feel the confusion of his chosen coming from their bond. He was glade the bond could hide his face as he smirked, despite himself. This was going to be interesting. Ice Queen Ice didn't say anything, but nodded. She wouldn't mind being a space pirate again. Chasing after stars and bounties... being free. But for now her children needed her. And one was about to come through the door. Io smiled slightly, speeding up at the sight of her chosen standing at the window. It had been a long time since Ice had been the one doing the waiting. In fact, she wasn't sure that had ever happened. But it felt... good. She headed up the stairs, reaching for the doorknob and looking over at Sei. Shall we?Trinityblue Sei nodded to her. He was spotted, there was no way out of this now, even if he wanted to leave. There weren't enought peope around for him to feel stuffy... yet. "Icey.... I've seen that mask before......" TB turned to her sisiter and they were coming in. Ice Queen She turned the knob and walked in, pulling him behind her. Mom? Aunt TB? I've brought you a little... surprise.Ice blinked, not sure how to reply without laughing. Only Io would put it that way. She had picked up too many of Ice's bad habits. His name is Seishuko. Io went on, looking at TB. And he has something to tell you.Trinityblue He was spossta tell her?? Sei looked at Io, wide eyed. He thought she was going to be the one to tell! He then looked at them, wondering what to do next. No going back now... Thinking a moment he found the words. 'You're mine.'Tb just blinked at him. "I'm.... yours??" she repeated. "What am I? A pet cat??" Sei just smirked under his mask, watching as her tail frizzed. Yes, this was entertaining. Ice Queen Io snorted, trying not to laugh as she looked over at Sei. "What did he say?" Ice asked, looking over at TB. "Something about you being his... cat?" She couldn't help it. Io burst into laughter. He said--he means-- She started laughing again, unable to speak for a few seconds. He's her masque. So she's his. Whether she likes it or not. Io finished, grinning behind her mask. He's my uncle."Ooo.... kay." Ice said, blinking. "I guess that makes as much sense as anything else has on this world." Io just smiled. Trinityblue "... Yeah, that's about how it went." Tb just blink at him, then something dawned on her. "You're that one! The mask that went missing!!" She said, marching up to him and pokeing him in the chest. "I've been looking for you, where did you go too??" Sei blinked down at her, easily taller than her by a good head. Where was he? He shrugged and sent her images of what he had been doing, working and watching.Trin backed up to where Ice was, after receiving the images. "He's.... bene stalking me..." She blinked at this. "Ok... you're my mask but you never bothered to tell me...?" Seishuko nodded at this. She blacked her hands on her hips, her tail twitching. "Ya coulda told me!" She then looked a Charlie, having seen him in the images. "And you! You knew all along!" Charlie just looked up at her, blinking, then at Sei. "Oh, so he decided to come out of the woods finely?" "Charlie....You knew, didn't you? The he was my mask?" The young Rade looked around with his eyes, as if trying to find way out of trouble. "Um.... I knew he was following you? And you never asked!" He put his head down, turning so his back was to her. "......" Trin looked back at Sei and sighed, then looked to Ice. Ice Queen Ice shrugged. "It's news to me. I just met him today." She stopped, realizing that she was admitting to keeping something, then shrugged it off. TB already knew she had been. "But I don't get this uncle thing. If he's your masque, wouldn't that make him Io's cousin?" Not your family, Mom. MINE. From... from before. Io stopped, frustrated with her inability to explain things correctly. Before you came here. Before we got stuck in the masks. He's my mother's... my REAL mother's brother.Ice tried not to wince at her emphasis on the word "Real." Trinityblue He gave Io a look with that "real" mother thing, having cought Ice's flinch. Sei gave Io a light bat on the shoulder."Ok then.... he's both, in a since....?" Trin shrugged. "He can stay uncle, since I didn't do much of anything to raise him, after all....." She blinked. Was she hurt by that fact? She wasn't sure....... Oh well, What's done is done, if anything they could become friends, at least and she could forc- er... ask him to help her out in the ruins. Ice Queen Io blinked, not knowing what the problem was. She had just been explaining who he was, after all! She turned, looking at TB. He doesn't much like crowds, so I doubt I'll see him enough for that question to be a problem. Then she looked over at Ice, frowning slightly. Um... Mom? Maybe we should leave them to get to know each other? Her motives weren't entirely pure. She wanted to get away from the memories that were trying to rise in her mind. Something about Sei made her remember things... things she was suddenly wondering if she wanted to remember. Like the fact that she had only been a toddler when her real mother died... Ice shrugged, turning and looking at TB. "Do you two want some time to get to know each other?" Trinityblue Well... that did make since about why he didn't want to be around. TB then nodded to Ice. "Sure, that sounds fine to me. So.... you like hot coca? " Trin smiled at him, heading into the kitchen. Sei just blinked at her and shrugged, looking at Io befollowing her. Coca was a change from tea.....

Quote: Sei was taking on of his many walks through his forest, enjoying the quietness of it all. and much more happy now that he's away from that camp place. Too many people for his like... Lyra was bored. She had planned on watching Scagg work shirtless, but for some reason he hadn't come out. It was no wonder she was sitting in a tree, one leg hanging down, kicking slightly as she admired her fingernails. Absently she looked down, noticing the man walking through the trees or a second before she realized who he was. 'Well, well, well... I had hoped you were dead by now... Sei.' Sei twitched lightly, hearing the voice. and his name. he didn't think anyone knew his name...... he visibly sighed and looked up, some how knowing the direction. 'What, not happy to see me?' She asked, a hint of amusement in her voice. Sei shrugged. wht could he say? though it was interesting to see that she was around...... that could prove to be interetaining. 'Well I can't say that I'm happy to see you, either.' She said, ruffled by his obvious lack of response. That had always gotten under her skin. Especially when she KNEW she looked good. If it were any other male-- 'Who brought you back, anyways? I'll be sure to... thank them.' Sei just looked at her, giving her this "i'm sure..." look that told he knew what she was up too. he gave another shrug and started walking again. he remembered she hated it when he walked off while she was talking. 'Where do you think you're going?!' She demanded, rifting so she was on the ground in front of him. A hint of amusement jumped in his eyes at this before he quickly hid it. he gave a simple, though soft word to her mind, "home" , before he stepped around her. yep... he still liked to ruffle her. she still reacted the same. 'You...' She said, her hands turning into fists before she forced herself to calm. 'You always were antisocial. Afraid they'll laugh at you, darling?' Sei shrugged again before turning and gustering to her. "mute also" he said, though his mental voice was a bit amused. he stood facing her, simply holding his staff, slightly leaning on it as he watched her. it was odd....... now everyone was like him, mute and telepathic. '...' She stopped, her plot ruined that easily. 'Then why aren't you with the others, darling? I know how you've always wanted to... fit in with those weaklings.' sei shrugged again. he didn't care. he had to face it alone, except for his sister, they at least had eachother. again, he guestered to her. "adjusted well" she did enjoy hearing her own voice back then..... 'The body more then makes up for the voice.' She said, running a hand down her side, enjoying the firm curves she now possessed. 'I had forgotten how beautiful I was.' Sei just looked at her a moment, a blank expression in his eyes beofre his body began to shake w/ laughter. leave it to her lyra to think something like that. he didn't even bother to hid the fact he was laughing as he leaned more on his staff. just about the time he thought he recovered, he looked at her again and started to laugh once more* '...' She gave him a dark look, which was somewhat marred by her mask. 'Of course you don't appreciate true beauty. You always had a thing for tomboys, didn't you.' Sei shook his head. yes, she was beautiful but her forward personality didn't match. he once more shrugged at her, amusement in his eyes, still. then he thought a moment and gave her mental images, memories, or her flirting w/ one of the old gaurds and being brushed off. time and time again. Lyra twitched, crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at him. 'I don't know why I even bother.' Sei smirked under his mask. "yes, you do." he said, a cocky sound in his mental voice as he watched her. She growled, then changed tactics again, not giving up so easily. 'I suppose you're back in that old shack of yours... lonely, isn't it...' Sei shook his head once, a smile in his eyes informing her that he enjoyed it that way. then he gave her another image, one of her always being around others, then suddenly her image standing alone. 'We could be lonely together...' she said, not bothering to deny his reply. She reached out, to touch his chest. He had a wonderful body... he always had. It was too bad he was such a pain in the a**... Sei gave her that look agian and started to laugh once more, and gave her a more cartoonish image of her stranglying him. the out come of if she followed him home. he shook his head again, a laugh still in his eyes. She snorted, not able to hide the flash of amusement that picture brought on. 'You're right, of course. It's really quite too bad. You're such a fine example of manhood. Physically, at least. And such an... intriguing power...' Sei rolled his eyes at that one. "you hate" he stated plainly. he then smirked again and dragged up an image he had caught on her mind. the image of the one called scagg and placed her image flirting w/ him. 'a girl gets lonely after a hundred years in a mask, darling. Really, of anyone I would think you understood.' She didn't sound self-conscious at all. She DID plan on having Scagg, but in the meantime Sei was just so... convenient. Sei thought of thise for a moment. was there a time he was lonely...? no, he hated crowds. they made him feel uneasy. but just to make her happy in the sudden.... "concern" she showed for his well being, he showed her the image of a young rade piddling around his house. the one that had been following him around. 'A... cat.' She replied, her expression blank for a second. 'You think a... cat... is company.' She paused, rolling her eyes. 'I should have known you were a virgin.' Sei shrugged, he didn't care.... .then he got a thought and smirked at her, evilly, giving her that same look and shot an image of him and her in a bed all cuddled up coozy. She stopped, feeling a little warm. 'You do know how to tease a girl, I'll give you that.' Sei nodded, this was entertaining. she was always entertaining to him. 'Seeeeiii...' She said, reaching up and touching his mask. 'Just once?' Sei shock his head, though still grinning. Besides, he knew just once would be all there is and he could never be interetained by her after that. 'Hmph. See if I offer again.' She said, flipping her hair and turning her nose up at him. Sei got hit w/ the hair, and was still grinning. then got another idea and reached over to her, gently cupping her chin and turning her to face him. 'oh...?' he asked in an almost... suductive.... voice. '... yes.' She said, a hint of a pout in her voice. She needed to get her mind off of the image he had sent her. 'I suppose you've been watching our darling nieces?' Sei quickly tapped her on the nose, like he used to do after teasing her about something and pulled back away from her. he gave her a nod, still smiling under the mask. 'Hmph. Treat me like a child, will you?' She muttered, glaring at him again. 'And my brother? Have you seen him as well?' Sei nodded again, watching her still. 'I do SO worry about them, you know. Not knowing their family... their positions.' She sighed, looking up at him through her lashes. 'Tell me, are they well?' Sei just gave her this look. his unbelieve look. the cartoony image of time on the throne and lyra coming up and shoving him off of it and takeing the crown. he knew what she really wanted..... why couldn't she be happy with what she had...? 'You must not have seen, darling. The throne is cracked and broken. The crown is no more. I'm merely a worried sister and aunt, now.' He gave her the "uh huh..." look again. he took the image of the throne, the image of it reversing, going back to being whole. his way of telling her what has been done can be undone. She rolled her eyes, patting him on the cheek. 'Poor little cynic. I'm a changed woman, now. I have no desire for Time's position.' Not now, at least. His power level was laughable, and he was a lowly child with a mother telling him what to do! Sei patted her back and replayed the words she just spoke to herself. he could hear them, as he could hear every unspoken word. soemthing by which he kept turned off, but when lyra was conscerend... he kept it on. Frozen Water says: 'Oooh, I knew there was a reason I hated you!' She turned, twirling her finger to start a rift. Sei sighed and silenced her magic with a thought. sometimes she just needed to listen. he gave her the image of the other's maskless. it's what he wanted. but first they needed time to grow and remember. doing so now would be too much of a shock to their systems and he knew that. Lyra jerked, suddenly things fell together. 'You... you could take the masks off, couldn't you?' She said, staring at him. She was, sadly to say, so used to him stopping her magic that she didn't even comment on it. 'Take mine off!' .... he figured she'd think that.... he sighed and leaned his face forward, giving her the image of her pulling his mask. he knew it wouldn't come off, but she could at least try and prove it to herself that not even he could break this spell. She looked at him, suspecting a trick, but tried it anyways, cursing as the mask didn't budge. He pulled back, leaning on his staff again, once more watching her. 'what will you do...?' he asked, one of the more complicated things he had asked in a long while. the quesion was followed by the image of her mask falling off. 'Be free of this hideous burdan for one.' She said callously. 'My power is only a portion of what it should be. I want my power back, Sei. And my face... my beautiful face...' She reached up, touching the mask and looking close to tears. Oh great... she was going to cry now. he hated tears.... and now he was confused. he didn't know how to convay it.... he'd have to speak again............. he had an even more puzzled look on his face and he dried to find the words. 'if.... you could take mask off... now..... bad things....would happen.....' he frowned. that was the best he could do...... 'I don't care!' She almost shouted, her sadness turning to anger. 'I want to be ME again, and I WILL be. I will find a cure for this curse, whether you help me or not.' Oh great, now she was shouting. He winced as the sound we doubled in his mind. On impulse he reached out and held her in a hug. 'you are you now... not you if mask off..... memories bad.... hurt...' She blinked, shocked by the feel of him hugging her, then she broke, wrapping her arms around him and burying her face in his shoulder. 'Memories are all that I have. Even if they hurt.' She said, not giving in. Sei frowned and showed her an image of her, the mask of, curled up in a ball and a look on her face, a look that is not intellegent, a look of someone who's gone crazy. 'wait..... learn..... cure will come when ready.... ' or so he believed. he didn't really know, but he did know about memory spells and what the loss, then studden gain of memories can do to a person. '...' She pulled away. 'You had better be right.' Sei blinked then smirked. Lyra never did like to have others see her cry. He had, many times. but he let her go, not even trying to stop her. 'i lie?' he asked her, a little playfully. 'You had better not. If you know what's good for you.' She muttered. 'And I'm tired of this conversation. I have more important things to do.' Sei sighed. She was just going to be irritable now, so he might as well go and let her go...... not before soemthing first. He smiled again and moved to her, holding her againa dn leaning down, looking into her eyes. He sent the image of them both with out a mask, him kissing her, passiontly. he then pulled back, tapping her on the nose lightly as he dropped the silence spell. He turned quickly, his cape flowing behind him and continued into the woods. Lyra blinked, then cursed him long and hard, sure that he would hear her. Then she rifted away.

Ice Io was in her room, the music blasting from her stereo as she packed all of the things she would need to be a good space pirate. She would need a stylish outfit, her high-heeled black boots, the ones that went up to her knees, the shirt she stole from Ice with the poet sleeves... She paused, looking at the shirt for a second, then looking at her room. She would miss this planet... the memories of this life and the time before... But-- She sighed, tossing the shirt onto the pile of clothes she had already packed. Trinityblue Seishuko wondered down the hall of his Chosen's house, after his rather... intersting conversation with TB. There was loud music coming from someplace in the house, and it was different than the music he once knew. Not that he could recall many tones, but he just knew it was different. That made him more courious in it. That is... if it wasn't so loud you couldn't understand what was being played. He came to the room which was the scourse of the music, and peeked in just as Io tossed a shirt into a bag. Now where was she going? Sei leaned on the door frame, opening it slightly as he did and crossing his arms. He place a small silence bubble around him, which extended about a foot from his body, not that one could see this bubble however, but it would make the music softer so that he could think. Sei then sent a cartoony image of Io sneeking out through the window with an over sized bag. Ice Io jerked at the image, blushing so brightly that it looked as if she was guilty of what he was suggesting. I'm not running away. Ice is coming with me. She said, closing her suitcase and turning. I'm going to be a space pirate! We've got the ship and everything. You want to come?Trinityblue Sei just looked at her. Did she just say she wanted to be a space pirate....? His shoulders started to shake with silent laughter as he covered his eyes. He could just see it now. Their first day out on the ship, trying to pillage another ship and instead of pulling up next to it, they crash into it. Yeah, that would be a good thing. Sei shook his head, taking a deep breath. He couldn't be a space pirate. He got sea sick... or... space sick? Well, sometimes at least. He looked at his neice again, a smile still hidden behide his mask, though it would be felt. 'Why?' he asked softly in his own mental voice. When he last saw her, she didn't seem like she wanted to leave. He walked more into the room, taking a seat on the edge of the bed, watching her. Ice 'Because...' She stopped, glaring at him for laughing at her. 'Because I'm tired of this place. Because I want to see more then just this planet and because...' She stopped, shrugging. 'Because I don't want to deal with people who are but aren't themselves and don't realize when they're acting weird.' 'And don't laugh at me. Ice has done it before, she can do it again.' Trinityblue Sei sighed. So that was it. She wanted to get away from things.... But going off to be a space pirate wasn't something that would help her. He gave her the abridged version of a memory he got from TB durning their converstation. It was of her and Ice being pirates, crashing their ship into a marine ship, then needing help to get unstuck so they can run away from the athorities. 'What happened...?' he asked next, seeing if she wanted to talk about it, hopeing to by himself time to figure out how to stop her from runing away. Ice 'It's... I don't--' She stopped, crossing her arms over her chest 'I don't want to talk about it.' She turned, picking up her luggage. 'And we won't wreck this time. ...I hope...' The last was muttered, a hesitance showing that she didn't want him to hear. 'It's not as if anyone here will really miss me, anyways. The only masques I've talked to so far are Fauve and Cern. Fauve is now best friends with my psychotic aunt, and Cern--' She stopped. 'Well he has better things to do.' Trinityblue He crossed his arms over his chest, frowning at her. She was forgetting him! Oh sure, she had just re-met him today, but that was no excuse to go off and forget about him! He was her uncle after all. Besides, he didn't believe Io believed the last part of what she said. Sei tried not to smirk under the mask. So there was a guy involved. He shoulda known. 'Could come with me,' the mental words were followed by an image of her coming to his house with her suitcase. Things were starting to get boring at his home. Too orderly. It would be intersting to have someone else hang out there, and it's not like she'd expect him to be everywhere she was. It was far enough out of the way that no one would bother them, also. Ice She stopped, something making her hesitate, inwardly wondering why that offer was appealing. Living in the woods... away from the camp where nobody would know how to get to unless told... 'I... I told Ice I wanted to become a space pirate.' She told him, something bothering her. Ice was still needed. Not so much as she had been at first, but still needed by the colonist. Just look how easily Silva had attacked when Ice was gone... She hesitated. Trinityblue Sei watched her, his expression softening. 'Could always do later,' he offered. It was true. It wasn't like coming with him would mean never become a space priate. Ice 'I... I need to think about it.' She finally said, turning away from him. She crossed her arms over her chest, her mind whirling with half-finished thoughts. 'But... If I did come with you... Would you be there? I mean, not that I care... Ice is never here and I'm fine with that, but--' Trinityblue Sei stood, nearing where Io was and gentlay place an arm on her shoulder. 'Is home. No where else to go. If left, would tell so, offer to join.' Ya know.. this talking thing was also starting to easier for him, the more he did it. The words were coming easier. Sei shoved that random thought aside, so that he could focuse on his niece. He took his hand off her shoulder and slowly headed for the door, to give her time to think. Ice 'Wait...' she said, reaching out and grabbing cloth. 'I don't remember you much from before... A little more then I did before, but...' She stopped, not sure where she was going with that. 'I don't remember you from then... but that doesn't mean I can't know you now. I think Ice will understand if I... If I go with you.' Trinityblue He stopped and looked at Io as she spoke, a small smile forming again. True, he wasn't around that much after his sister married. Castle life was getting to him. Too many people and too many parties. That and he didn't favore many of the gaurds... But like she said, that didn't mean he couldn't know her, better, now. Sei brought his arm around her in a hug, then let go, taking a step back. 'Want to tell now? or after packed?'Ice 'I'm uh... already packed.' She said simply shrugging with a sheepish smile. Trinityblue He smirked at her before guestering to the door, going to let her lead. The sooner this was done, the sooner he could get out of this town....

Trinityblue Seishuko walked though the woods, having left his niece back at his cabin to settle in. His wood pile was getting low and it was time for him to start gathering more. An axe was drapped over his shoulder, replacing the walking stick and he went with out the cloak, revealing a sleeveless shirt that was obviously hand made. The cloak would have gotten in his way as he worked. Things were going to be a bit different now that his niece was going to be staying with him for a time. Ice 'You've been busy.' The voice came from the trees, where Lyra sat comfortably on one of the limbs, one long, well shaped leg hanging down. 'You bright her here?' She had grown tired of watching the large man work on the fence for some reason. Even shirtless he had begun to bore her. His thoughts were far too easy to read. The poor boy had a girl somewhere. What a pity. Trinityblue 'Was wondering when you come,' Sei smirked under his mask, looking over his shoulder at her. He was secertly pleased with his slight better talking. 'Io being here bothers?' He asked, continueing on his walk, examing trees as he went, looking for one that was ready to be cut. Ice 'It'll make it a lot harder for us to fool around, if that's what you mean.' She swung her leg slightly, looking him over with a little smirk. 'You're looking good today.' She said, a slight purr in her tone. It was tradition, after all. Try to get Sei in bed. Too bad it never seemed to work. 'My brother has grown, you know.' Trinityblue Sei bit back a laugh as he looked a tree over. ' Don't to begin with. Yes, seen him grown. Lanky kid.' As he remembered Nika had been when he was a teen. His memory was still fuzzy in some areas, but the important things, and people, he remembers. Sei stopped at a tree and looked it over. This one would do. He went over to where Lyra was standing and moved her off to the side so she wouldn't get harmed. 'Io thinks you crazy,' He stated as started to work. Ice She glared at him, irritated with being moved against her will. 'Io thinks a lot of things.' She said dryly, making herself at home on a rock. 'She's just a child, after all. Still crushing on her first love.' She was amused with that fact, but a little bitter. It was quite obvious that Io's first love was crushing just as hard. 'My what fools these mortals be...' She quoted, looking towards the cabin. 'Have you told her about us?' Trinityblue 'That we talk? No. letting her settle in first. She'll know soon enough,' he answered, still working. 'Her reigns to tight, is to stressed. Needs break.'Sei paused in his work and looked at her once more, a slight smirk in his dark eyes. 'Now really no room in house.' His mental voice was joking, teaseing, before he went back to work. Ice 'Darling, there was never room in the house to begin with.' She replied, tossing her hair over her shoulder and watching him work. He wasn't as large as the big man... nor quite as broad, but he was appealing. And the fact that she knew she couldn't have him made it worse. 'It's been so boring lately... I really must look up my darling brother sometime. See how he is. Family loyalties and all that, you know.' She looked at him, a slightly evil smile in her eyes. 'Now that she's here the rest are soon to follow, you know.' Trinityblue Sei paused in his working. ... Damn... but part of him knew that would happen. He shrugged it off and went back to work. 'Loyalties nothing, loyal to self,' he stated, swinging a few more times before the tree. Sei back away, standing between her and the tree and it fell. Ice 'I never thought I'd hear you say such a thing.' She said, sounding amused. 'Of all people, I would think you'd be the most into family loyalties.' Trinityblue He grinned at her, takeing a seat facing her on the fallen tree, setting the head of the axe on the ground. He proped his head on his hand that were on the handle of the axe. 'You're family,' He stated. He was glade his sound bubble was up, keeping their converstation privet. Ice 'Loyal to me, are you? I don't see you telling Io that I'm here.' She stopped, letting a pause speak for her before going on. 'Or are you trying to protect her from me?'[/qoute] Trinityblue 'Loyal in many ways. Protect is what I seem to do. Though you are capible of handleing things on your own.' Io was stressed as it was. He had a feeling that if she saw Lyra, she would bet more stressed, which would make things more difficult. He wasn't about to let her know that, however. Lyra wasn't a bad person, just ambisous and unhappy with things. That bothered him. He was probably wrong, but to him, it seemed that she was just searching for someplace to belong. He watched her. She was a beautiful creature, but something she knew all too well. No point in feeding the ego. He sighed a bit. Ice 'So... what is she like?' She asked, crossing one leg over the other curious in spite of herself. She had always had a strange affinity for Io, although the female didn't see it... there was much of her aunt in her. Of course, that's why Lyra had chose to concentrate on Zahar. Light was much easier to manipulate then darkness. Trinityblue Sei paused a moment, figuring out what to tell her. He could tell that Lyra was truely curious. Wouldn't hurt that much to tell a little. 'Angry, confused. Stressed. Very stressed. Some ways reminds me of you.' He smirked playfully at her. Ice 'So good Uncle Seishuko steps in to save the day, is that it?' She asked, irritated with him suddenly. 'Always out to play the hero. When will you realize that some people just can't be saved?' There was a hint of frustration in her tone, one a little jarring with her usually calm, amused voice. Trinityblue Sei tilted his head, perplexed. 'Wanted to know my niece better. Hardly around before.' Why was she mad at him now? Sure he enjoed irritating her, but at the moment, he didn't feel like it. So her getting irritated at him bothered him. It dawned on him what it might be. 'Some people are more than worth saving. What is wrong?' In truth, he expected her to yell at him or want to leave. He wasn't trying to be a hero or anything, he just didn't like to see the people he cared for go though such things. Ice 'Have you ever thought she might need to learn to deal with stress, Sei? She's a princess, promised to be Queen someday... or she would have been had it not been for this damn curse.' She stopped, forcing herself to calm, a slight smile pasted on her face as she reminded herself that she didn't care. 'But if you wish to be dragged into their new, petty little lives, then who am I to stop you?' Trinityblue 'Everyone needs a break. She was planning on running away. This will help her deal better with it. Give time to think.' He stood then, swinging the axe into the fallen tree and walked over to Lyra, kneeling at the bolder. 'You don't consider me petty? Wouldn't mind you being around more....' He smirked then, the cartoon image of her strangleing him popping into his mind. This was one of the rare moments he was going to open up to her. He knew he'd probably get hurt for it, but for some reason he just felt like doing this. Ice 'You shouldn't tempt me, Sei. I might think you liked me.' She said, relaxing slightly as things returned to normal. 'I'm an ambitious woman, you shouldn't forget that. I might get... ideas.' She was lying, of course. They both knew it. But it felt good to pretend for a moment. 'We've been given a new life, but all we seem to be able to do with it is the same things we did before...' She went on quietly, 'Maybe Io was right in wanting to run away... Maybe there's more out there then there is here...' She went quiet, thinking things she had never planned on considering. Trinityblue Sei relax also, smiling softly. 'Running will not solve problems. They would always remain where they were, or follow. Best to get them stright. Then, if one wanted to see what was beyond this world, just to explore it, it will be more enjoyible. There is no problem with that.' Wow that was alot he just said. More than he had ever side in one line. He shrugged that off mentally. SOmething else starting to bother him, but it looked as though Lyra was feeling better. He smirked at her, covering it up. 'Could be pirate Queen.'Ice 'I could be. I'd be good at it, too.' She sounded smug, tossing her hair over her shoulder again and giving him a seductive look. 'Couldn't you see me, hijacking ships and demanding booty? No one to tell me what to do, no brother standing in my way to the throne.' 'You do realize that he's my problem, don't you? How would you feel about me straightening that out, Darling?' Trinityblue ' That depends on how you strighten it out,' Sei smirked at her, standing. 'I doubt he'd want to be a pirate King. So no one standing in your way, save other pirates. You would be good at it...' He walked back to the tree and picked up the axe. What the hell was wrong with him? He was use to being alone.... Her going off wasn't any different. He shoved that out of his mind quickly. Ice She went silent, idly thinking of how very... boring it would get after a while. 'That's the problem... it would be easy. Too easy, actually. My powers, although not as strong as they once were, allow me to take whatever I want. Off planet, that is.' 'I could rule another planet, you know... but I don't want another planet. I want this one.' Trinityblue 'Why? There are some powerful beings out there as well. Wouldn't mind seeing other places.... but would miss my home.' He finished, starting to chop the wood into sections. He then smirked at her, 'I could make things more interesting for you.' Ice 'I've been trying to tell you that for years, Darling.' She replied, smirking back. Trinityblue Sei laughed, 'I ment in ways you would hate. Like make things more challanging for you and silence you powers. Unless, of course, something threatened you,' he smirked at her, then went back to wood chopping. Ice She gave him a dark look, then shrugged. 'As if that hasn't happened before. You're just an over-charged guard in some ways, aren't you.' She knew he would hate that comparison. He had made no secret of his dislike for guards... other then that little female... What had her name been? Idly she wondered if he had had a crush on her... Quote: Sei snorted, finishing up a sections and starting a new one. He was no gaurd and he would be damned before he started that job. He just cared for the people he saw as important. 'You liked many a guard. Except the head guard.' 'What can I say? I'm a sucker for a man in armory.' She said, smirking slightly and deliberately ignoring the last comment. 'It's just their powers that are annoying, stealing my own just for their convenience. Almost puts a girl off muscles if that's what touching leads to...' Sei smirked. 'You liked touching many guys.' He only liked one guard back in the old life. That one guard was the one who taught him how to defend himself, and she never hurt him. She was the guard he called friend. 'I'm a hot blooded woman, darling. You can't expect me to pine after you all my life.' The voice was slightly mocking, amused. 'You broke my heart, you know.' Sei just gave her a look, stopping his work, doing what he could not to laugh. 'I did, did I? By siding with my sister and her husband?' 'No darling, it was much earlier then that. I was five, you were six, you know how it goes.' She waved it off, trying not to let her reaction to his words show. 'Girl meets boy, girl likes boy, boy runs away.' 'You scared me,' he said bluntly. 'And we had just met.' He veguly remember that meeting.... it was one of the blurry things in his mind that wasn't even triggered until she mentioned it. 'Hmph. Too much woman for you, even back then.' She turned, looking away for a second and speaking softly. 'Have you figured out how to lift the curse yet, Sei?' Sei smiled at her, then the smile vanished when said that. 'No.... not yet,' he started back to work. 'You haven't. If you had, would have used it. What will you do?' 'Wash my face, for one. Kiss a man, put on makeup, girly things, really. The things I used to take for granted.' She stood, reaching out to touch his shoulder and turn him. 'I need to try, though...' She said, moving forward until her mask almost touched his. Sei froze, eye wide as she did this. He didn't expect that! He relaxed though, smirking and trying to to laugh at himself. He pulled back from her, waving his finger back and forth, laughter in his eyes. 'You are eger.' 'No... I'm frustrated.' She said bluntly. She wouldn't have told anyone else that. Reluctantly she pulled away from him, looking towards the cabin. 'Your neice is coming this way.' she said, not explaining how she knew, even though Io was still out of sight. She didn't have to. Sei shrugged, 'Then I guess I will see you later, when you decide to show up again.' He started going back to work on the tree. She nodded, watching him for a second before turning back to where the teenager was coming from, not budging until the snap of Io's steps on twigs echoed in the woods. Then she disappeared, leaving them both behind... where she should have left them long ago. Trinityblue Sei looked over his shoulder as Io came up. Once more he paused in his work. 'Got everything set up to liking?' He asked, hopeing she didn't clean as much as his sister would have. That would mean he'd have no clue where anythign was. [/qoute] Ice 'Um... yeah.' She replied, looking sheepish for some reason. 'But... where's the restroom? I uh... couldn't find it.' She looked around, sniffing the air with a strange look. It smelled faintly of... perfume? Trinityblue Sei could help himself and smirked. He pointing to a small building that stood apart for the cabin and shead. There was a small moon carved in the door. What could he say? He lived simply. Ice '... Oh.' She blinked, looking at the outhouse then turning back. 'Nice to know.' Trinityblue Sei chuckled to himself and looked at his axe. He then looked to his niece and handed it to her. She would get bored if she didn't have something to do, he figured. Besides, she could take out her aggression on the wood. Ice Io blinked, looking at the axe blankly. She had to use a... outhouse. And chop wood? Heh... well, it wasn't as if she hadn't done manuel labor before. She braced herself, looking at the log he was working on and brought the axe up over her head, glancing over at him a second before she swung. 'If you say so, Unc.' CHOP! Trinityblue Sei nodded, watching her a moment before picking up one of the sections and placing it on the stomp. He then went over to Io, after another swing, and moved her over. He gave her the image of the section being chopped into four pieces and left her to it. Sei went to the shead, grabbing his spare axe and then went back to the tree, once more chopping it into sections for Io to chop into small ones that could be carried back to the house. Ice It didn't take long for her muscles to remind her that she wasn't quite as accustomed to chopping wood as she would like... er... not that she was sure she would like being accustomed to it... The last thing she needed was to have as big of muscles as her boyfr--er... as big as Cern. 'Um... Seishuko? Can I ask you a question?' Trinityblue 'Go for it,' Sei nodded to her, giving a glance as he continued his work and moving some of the sections over. Once they got those cut, that should be enough for a time. Ice 'Have you ever been... were you ever...' She stopped, not sure how to phrase it without sounding stupid. 'Have you ever been in love?' she finally asked, not looking away from her chopping, a slight flush on her cheeks. Trinityblue He blinked at this. He should have seen this question coming. Sei scratched the back of his head, not looking at her. Had he ever been in love? He wasn't sure how to answer that one... Yes, he liked someone, but he had never been the type to go falling over themself about it. Well, there was a good enough answer. 'Yes,' he answered simply, making a point to deal with the wood, glade that the mask hid his light blush. Ice 'But... how do you know it's love? How do you know you're not just.. imagining things? Or if it's just a stupid crush that you should get over before you wind up screwing up your new life as badly as you did your old?' She needed to know. Somehow she felt more comfortable asking Sei then she would have Ice. Ice didn't seem the type to fall in love... at least not very often. Trinityblue Sei paused, again stratching his head. Why did she have to ask difficult questions? He crossed his arms, thinking it over. 'It's hard to tell..... When you try to think of someone else, another guy, do your thoughts return to the other guy? When you are with out him, do you want him around? Do you want him happy, to comfort him when he is sad, to share joy with him? 'The best way to know is to give something a try. A date, maybe. Hanging out over time. In that time, you will discover for yourself if it is true, or simply a crush.' Another long phrase by him. Talking was doing alot of good to talk even more. Ice 'I... I try...' She said softly, swinging the axe and splitting the log. 'But I'm not very... good at being a female, I guess. I'm more likely to go hunting then dating. And I get... jealous. I shouldn't, but...' She sighed, shrugging and setting up for the next cut. 'I mean... look at where jealousy has gotten us, right?' Trinityblue Sei smirked. 'Who said a date had to be lovey-dovey? A date is going out and doing soemthing you enjoy. Hopefully soemthing you both enjoy. Even hunting,' he replied as he went back to work. 'So, is that what happened? I didn't know. Was too busy hiding from crowds. The jealousy will dim as you build trust. Trust that he will be friendly with other girls, but wont want them like he does you.' Ice 'Trust is hard to come by in this case...' She muttered, chopping another log. She hadn't seen much of Cern, and when she did he had been jumped by another female within an hour. It was probably nothing, but... 'Tell me about your love. Is she still around, or did she... die with the curse?' Trinityblue Sei jerked when she asked him that. 'She's... around, yes.' He continued about his work, hopeing she would move on in the conversation. Ice Io blinked, thinking of all the females that were in the camp... Fauve? Somehow she doubted it... The water masque was around... but a child. Of course, that wouldn't really matter since ages were so mixed up, but... no. Probably not. It wasn't... no... couldn't be... 'It's not Ashy, is it?' She asked, almost laughing at the thought of her calm, shy uncle in love with such a firecracker. Trinityblue Sei snorted, relaxing a bit. 'That one scares me,' he said, easily halving a section of the wood and moving the two pieces off to the side. All he had to do is not tell her, he figured. He was still blushing lightly. Ice 'That's reassuring.' She said, grinning as she teased him. It made working a lot easier, focusing on the tantalizing question of who her uncle was in love with. Then something occured to her, strange as it might seem. 'You um... You're not in love with Aunt Trinity, are you? I mean, she didn't really raise you, so--' Trinityblue Sei's shoulder's shook in a silent sniker. 'No, I do not love her. She is relibable person, though, and did help, with out knowing. For that I am very greatful to her for.' This was oddly entertaining. Ice 'That's a relief. I mean... I guess there's nothing wrong with being in love with your guardian, since you aren't really related... but it just seems so... weird.' She tried imagining having romantic feelings for Ice, then choked on a laugh. For one she didn't like females, for another... well she still thought of Ice as "Mom" half the time. But who else could it be? Not-- 'Is it Shiva?' Trinityblue Sei smirked under the mask, chopping more wood. 'What makes you think I'll tell? I've only eliminated two.' Ice 'Hmph. I'm not giving up that easily.' She said, chopping the last block then standing, her hand rubbing her back for a second. 'Lemme guess, hot showers are out of the question, right?' Mentally she made a note to have Ice pick up a restroom in a box for her. Running water was a very important thing, after all. Trinityblue Sei simply smirked. 'I know a small hot spring. But we're not done yet.' He made a final swing, resting the axe in stomp and started to pick up the logs, place as many as he though she could hold in her arms. He made sure not to over load her then started to get logs for himself. Once he had a good load in his arms, he headed for where the old pile was, right agaisnt the shead. Ice Hot springs sounded nice... She sighed, following him silently, her arms laden with the wood, her muscles complaining fom the workout she had just had. Cutting wood was hard work. 'So what next? Feed the chickens, slop the hogs?' Trinityblue 'If I had some, yes. But I don't.' Sei smirked lightly, setting the wood in place. He took her logs, doing the same. 'I have things to do in the house. Like make a place for you to sleep. You can go hunt dinner.' He said, rather matter of factly. Ice 'Oh... um... that sounds good.' She said, shrugging her shoulder to loosen her muscles and reaching for her bow and arrows. 'Since there's only two of us... would a bird work?' Trinityblue Sei nodded. 'That will work fine. Then I'll show you to the spring and you can bath as I make dinner.' He headed back to get more wood, letting Io hunt on her own. 'If you need me, call.' Sei paused then walked back to her and touched the band on her mask's forehead as a light shimmer went over her. 'Now you can hunt silently. The Rade will not hear you, but if you see on, keep down wind so they don't smell you.' Sei tapped her on the nose, then went back to the last of the logs. Ice Io blinked, standing there for a few minutes after he had left and trying to figure out how he had done that so easily. Then she turned, stepping quietly at first, then pausing and looking down, deliberately stepping hard on a twig. She saw it broke... but she didn't hear it. And the birds in the trees didn't all fly off in fear... 'That guy must have gotten away with a LOT when he was a kid...' She muttered, heading into the woods. She didn't even notice a slight shift in the trees, as if a small window in space had been shut... Or opened. Trinityblue Sei brought the last of the wood to the shead, pileing it to be used later. He then headed to the well, drawing a bucket of water up and washing his hands and mask off, getting his black bangs wet in the process. It was nice to have an extra set of hands to help around the old place. He looked back over to his house, running the things over in his mind that needed to be done. There were a few more leaks that needed to be fixed in the roof. Ice Lyra rifted herself onto a stump right next to Sei, crossing one long leg over the other and staring at him as she waited for him to notice her. He had some explaining to do, after all. Trinityblue Sei didn't move for a few moments. He knew she appeared, but didn't acknowledge her as he pourd the water out and set the bucket back down on the well. He wiped his forehead and then looked at her a moment, trying not to smile at the look she was giving him. Sei then headed for the axes, picking them up and heading for the shead to put them away. He was waiting for her to speak first. Ice ... He was ignoring her, she thought. Well two could play at that. She turned, looking into the woods and wondering what had happened to the little fox boy she kept around. Probably off spying on the jester girl, no doubt. She really needed to get back to work, she thought, irritated with herself. She was supposed to be gathering information on her "Darling" brother, not chasing after Sei. She of all people knew how futile that endeavor could be. She'd spent a lifetime trying to get in his bed, after all. There really was no point in wasting a perfectly good second one. But she didn't move, a thoughtful look on her face. Trinityblue Sei, for once, was tired of the silence around. She was too quiet, and he didn't like it when Lyra was quiet. He might as well give in, or nothing would get done at this rate. 'What's wrong,' he asked softly. Ice She almost jerked at his words, frowning slightly behind her mask as she thought of his question. 'Nothing.' She told him, forcing herself to relax. 'But I am curious, you might say... Such an intersting conversation you had with our darling neice. Something about you being in love?' Her voice was surprisingly calm. 'Might I ask... who?' Trinityblue Sei blinked, still looking in the shead, his hand hesitating on the axe for a moment. So that was it. He smirked lightly. He shouldn't be surprised that she had herd that convosation. 'Might be,' He answered. 'Course.... why would I tell...?' He then looked over at her, his eyes playful. It was a dangerous game he played with her, but it was entertaining. Ice 'Oh, no reason.' She replied, shoving her hair over her shoulder again. It was irritating, having the mask cover her ears. There was nothing for her hair to hook on. 'I just wouldn't take you for being that big of a fool. Love is such an easy thing to manipulate people with, after all.' 'But I suppose that depends on who you're in love with. Is she quite... naive?' He always was too closed-mouthed for his own good, she thought, keeping her calm facade. Trinityblue Sei smirked lightly, leaning against the door to the shead. Was Lyra jealous? That wouldn't be a first... and at the same time it would be. 'No, she's quite... sharp,' He answered simply. Ice Well that ruled out a few... several... others, she thought, going over the remaining females. Fauve was out, she was just a bit too... vain to be considered truly sharp. Of course there was nothing wrong with being vain, but to be vain as well as uncertain rarely adds up to the term "Sharp." Io seemed to have the sharp factor, but she was family, as was Zahar. But she hadn't paid much attention to the others, had gotten distracted by Scagg around that time. Excpet-- No, he had said the word "She." Could the little guard girl pass off as sharp? She stopped, pondering this for a while. She hadn't seemed easy to manipulate, a little emotionally unstable, but considering her powers that was to be taken for granted... 'Do you dream of her?' She asked, forcing a note of derision into her tone. 'Sneak into town to watch her? Are you... gods forbid, stalking her, dealing?' Trinityblue Sei just looked at her. He knew what was running through her head, but chose to say nothing about it. That was rude, after all. But the way she asked him made him laugh, mentally. His laugh miniced his father's, since he didn't know what his true laugh would sound like, this was the most natural thing that came to him. 'Dream, yes. Stalk, no. Don't sneak into town.' He regained his composer, watching her again. To tell her who it was, no matter how much he wanted too, would be a dangerous thing. Ice Her tone turned seductive. 'Would you like to?' she asked wickedly. 'A little glimpse, perhaps?' she stood slowly, walking over to him and running a finger over his chest. 'I'd be willing to... help, you know. For... love.' She couldn't help the hint of sarcasm that laced her voice on the last word. Trinityblue Sei just smirked at her and took her hand, planting a kiss on her finger tip before he walked past her. 'I'm fine,' he said, a small laughter in his mental voice. She was jealous! Now that was very interesting indeed. He headed for his cabin, though a bit slowly, hopeing she would follow. Ice Lyra didn't move. She was too busy staring in shock at her fingertip. She had felt it! No, not his mask... his lips! But... if he could kiss her finger, then-- Wait. He had just turned down her offer. She almost growled as she shoved herself to her feet, then forced herself to calm. 'Afraid she'll notice you? Or worse... afraid she won't?' She asked, following him in a smooth, sedate way that was meant to look as if she wasn't. Trinityblue The more she tried not to look like she was about the explode the more amusing it was. He shruged at her question. No, what he truely was afraid of is that she would use him, then never return to him. Sei headed into his cabin and started to look around for something, moving things aside as he did. Ice She followed him, thinking once more. What WOULD she do if she caught him with another female? The very question made her blink, slightly shocked when she felt a cold wave of rage flowing through her. They would suffer, she decided, calmly. A slight smile pulled at her lips with that ocnclusion, but it wasn't a happy smile. It was a smile of grim satisfaction. She almost thought of warning him, but decided not to. Knowing Sei it wouldn't have mattered. She turned, looking around with a faint air of boredom. 'Really darling, we need to bring you into the twenty first century.' Trinityblue Sei felt a shiver run down his spin for some reason and looked over at her. The look in her eyes was a dangerous one... and the fact that she switched subjects. He decided to let it go and shrugged. Sei then sent her the cartoon image of him with a screw driver trying to fix something, and then that thing blowing up in his face. ' Not good with tech,' He said with the images. Ice 'That's why you hire someone that is, Darling. Or have Io handle it, she seems the type to like getting her hands dirty.' Her tone said that wasn't necessarily a good thing. 'Or maybe your future girlfriend will be able to handle it.' She stopped then, irritated with letting her thoughts be known so easily. But it was her nature to keep prying. Speaking of which. 'Have you thought of how to remove our masks?' She asked, as she always did. He was their best hope, no matter what he might say. Trinityblue 'Doubt she'd know how, or want too,' he smirked lightly. 'No money to hire,' he added, more as an after thought. Sei pulled a package out from under somethings, turning to her. ' No, haven't been thinking on it,' he answered her casually. Ice 'Hmm...' She said, totaling that fact into the equation. Shiva didn't seem the type to shun grunt work. She had been so very good at it back in the old days. 'Then think about it, Darling. I'm getting tired of this dreaded thing.' She finally replied, shoving herself to her feet and stretching, deliberately drawing attention to her body. Trinityblue Sei smirked. 'Will,' he said softly and began to open the package. 'Cold weather's coming.' Out of the package he pulled some cloth, shaking it out before drapping it around her, showing it was a cloak. The outter part of the cloak was made out of leather, which was softened to be comefortible. The leather was dyed a midnight blue. Lining the leather on the inside was light blue silk. Silk could be very warm, and very cool. There was leather cloth over her shoulders, forming into a hood and was lined with blue-black soft furr. All of it looked hand crafted, but showed that much time had been spent working on it. Sei stepped away from her after hooking it, not sure as to how'd she'd react to his gift. Ice Lyra blinked, honestly shocked at his offer. Her hand reached out, then hesitated as she forced herself to get a grip. Sure, it was a gift, and it had been a very long time since she had recieved one, but that wasn't the thing that got to her. It had been made just for her. Much like her old clothes had been before the curse, and not quite as perfectly, but... this time she hadn't had to order it. This time it had been made out of... what? Friendship? She blinked, pulling her hand back slightly. 'And what do you ask for in return?' She asked. Trinityblue Sei shrugged, relaxing as he had watched her. 'Keep warm, is also water repellant,' he turned and started to move things off the table, putting them in place for once so that Io could have a place to eat without things trying to attack her. He didn't know where Lyra stayed, nor had he ever asked. But if she was out of a decent house, she'd need something to protect her from the elements. Ice She gave in then, rubbing a hand over the leather that covered her shoulders and almost purring. It felt soft and supple as if it had been treated by someone that knew exactly what he was doing. And it had been, she thought, watching him for a second. Then she reached up, pulling her hair out and smirking slightly. 'Thank you, of course. But you know what it is that I really want.' she told him, trying to keep her priorities in mind. She reached out, running her fingernails lightly over his back. 'And it isn't just the mask off.' She stepped back then, satisfied her point had been made, then rifted out of the room, leaving him to get ready for his neice. Trinityblue Sei smirked, feeling her leave. All and all, this had been a good day. He knew his gift made her happy, but he wasn't going to rub that in her face, or say anything about it. That would ruin this small "victory". He didn't know if victory was the right word for it, but it was the first one that came. After cleaning things off, Sei checked his wilde spices, seeing that he was running low. He took his cloak, a small pouch and his walking stick and headed out. He also sent a quiet, telepathic message, telling Io that he was out to get some things for dinner and would return. Yes, this was a very good day.

Shiva, I knew your mother Sei walked through the woods, heading for the spot he knew good, wild herbs grew. These would be good to add to what ever Io was able to kill for their dinner.
He knelt down and started to pick some of the plants, placing them in his pouch. The peace in the garden had begun to shatter into morning activity. Shi woke with a start, realizing she must have dozed there under the tree. The slightly damp smell of herbs tickled her nose, and she sneezed lightly.
Shivering with a slight chill, she got to her feet, not wanting to be seen yet. Chae often came to check on the flowers earlier on. It was the best time, after all.
Slipping out between the homes, she shook the few dewdroplets from her hair and sighed. She did not want to stay here, huddled and looking as an orphan from a Copperfield novel. Perhaps a walk, or light run. Then noone would feel the need to visit random kindness upon her or feel pity.
Skipping into the wood, she carefully marked her trail. Not breadcrumbs this time either. But a slightly burnt stick to mark the trees with as she passed them.Sei paused in his work as he heard someone comeing through the woods. Someone or something, he remained still until he identified the object comeing through, and relaxed once he realized who it was. A slight smirk danced on his lips under the mask.
He noted her damp look, and went back to work, if she noticed him, he'd greet her, if not, then he'd continue about his way.It was not that Shi nearly stumbled over the sudden, and strange man, so much as he was just suddenly there in front of her. Planting her feet in to the ground she slid to a halt, warily eyeing him.
*Excuse me.*she greeted politely, still tensed to run or fight if need be. *I do not believe that we have met.*Sei smirked to himself, continueing his work. 'It is alright. No harm done,' he replied, softly, looking up at her. She looked so much like her mother....
'Are you alright?' he asked in the same voice. She was wet and tence. Then again, she had not re-met him, and with as much as he had seen the people at the camp go through, he wasn't surprised she was prepared to defend herself. *You startled me.* she admitted. *I have not seen you before. Who are you? And why are you out here by yourself?* She shifted awkwardly from foot to foot, unsure now as to whether she should be so wary. She felt rather foolish for her alarm all of a sudden.'Seishuko,' he answered her simply, then held up an herb. 'Live here, gathering food.'
He couldn't help himself, he had to ask. 'Why are you wet...?'*Out here?* she echoed, looking around. *In the wood?* She had a sudden image of him living in a tree and craned her neck slightly to look at the branches. *I...didn't think there were any others around. We've all seem to have been gathered in one place. Not essentially the safest setup...but essentially the safest.* she shrugged at the contradiction. *I'm called Shiva. Not sure if that's really who or what I am, but for the moment it is. Did you name yourself?*
She looked at herself with a slight grimace. *I am wet because I have water on me.* she added blandly, hoping that would sufficeSei chuckled. That was a fitting answer, one that he wasn't going to pry into. If she wanted to tell why there was water on her, she would have.
'Yes, here. My name has always been Seishuko,' He answered her in return. Then, looking at her again, he sent the image of her, sitting on the ground. Offering her a seat, in his own way.She looked rather startled, and sat down abruptly. *How did you do that?* she asked, sudden curiosity overwhelming caution. *I've heard voices and emotions before, but never a direct image like that.*Well, that was something he knew others wondered. He smiled to himself, continueing his work.
'Old life, I was already mute, already telepatic. Spoke mostly in images. Sometimes words, finding correct words to send has gotten easier now.'*Sometimes is more often than one would think.* she agreed sourly. *I can't ever seem to say anything right at all, so you're still one up on at least one of us here.* she put her chin in her hand. *You find a lot of wild herbs out here?*Sei nodded, though he never thought himself good at finding correct words.
'Herbs all over, in certian areas. Sometimes is good to let them grow in place they belong.' That and some herbs and him didn't agree on where to grow. These ones he had difficulty growing. He glanced at her, for a moment, she seemed to be relaxing now that they were talking.
'You grow herbs also, correct?' *Yes. Or rather, Chae and I do...did. Sometimes.* she half shrugged and half smiled with her eyes. *Plants are not as uncomplicated as people think, but are less complicated than people's thoughts. At least that's what I always say to them. They haven't argued back yet.* she crossed her legs. *So what are you making that you need them? Or are you taking cuttings?*'People can be compliced, yes. Sometimes best not to over think what another is thinking.' Yeah, he should talk... he could hear other's thoughts if he didn't try to shut that off.
'Gathering for dinner, and to dry for later,' he answered her. 'Good in stew.'She nodded. *You need meat for stew. You must be pretty self sufficient. Is it nice living out here alone?* she asked with wistfulness. *Not having to deal with people, and their emotions and ... things like that?*'Can be,' he answered truthfully. 'Can also be... boring. ' He looked at her again. 'You were normally alone, in old life. You want to be alone again...?' She was taken aback. *How did you know that?* she started to rise to her feet, concerned anew about possible traps. *Who told you?*Sei remained calm, hopeing his calmness would help calm her, and took a seat on the ground. 'I remember much of old life,' his statement was followed by images of her, in a palace. Most of the images were of her as a child doing exercises and training with wooden weapons, and a few were of her as an adult. She opened her mouth and closed it, grateful that the mask hid her total surprise. *What else do you remember?* she asked. *I- yes, I practiced alot alone. I had to...work twice as hard to be noticed and promoted.*'Many things, but not everything,' he said softly. 'Yes, I know. I remember that your mother was proud of you. Worked very hard.... little too hard sometimes.' He smirked lightly at her. 'Were good at stragity games, also.'*My mother?* She repeated faintly. He was like some sort of magician pulling memories, and not rabbits from a hat. *You knew my mother?*
She was completely seated again now, total shock and confusion melting away to faint hope. Someone who maybe knew what was going on...what had happened and...and maybe just what was wrong with her. Sei waited several minutes for the imformation to sink in. Going too fast wasn't wise, and could be hurtful.
'Yes, I knew her. Knew you also. I don't know what happened at the last party, if you're wondering. All I saw was a bright light.' And mangic being used. He left the last part unsaid. He had an idea of what happened, thanks to Io, but he didn't know the details, so he only said what he remembered.
He also swore off big parties, as soon as he woke up. That statement had left him confused at first and he had spent alot of time thinking over things, which was a way he got most of his memories back. She seemed a touch deflated at the news. *that matches up with what I remember.* she agreed glumly *Doesn't add any more to it, though.*
Filing at least a corroborative story away for further thought, she shook her head. *Why don't I remember you?*He left the question of what happened at the party alone. He didn't know for he wasn't in the area to see what happened. To him, it was as simple as that.
There was a soft smile in Sei's eyes at that question. 'Not many remember me. After a certian time, I stopped coming to the palace. You were young.' *You came out here back then?* she inquired. *But you showed me images as an adult. Did you come back?*Sei nodded. 'Came back now and then. Checked up on you and a few others.' She wanted to ask, but didn't. *You didn't think of coming back now to help?* her voice was more curious than condemning. *Things are pretty confusing.*He shook his head, giving Shi the same cartoony images he had given Io. Him surrounded by people and looking paniced, then him, away from all the others, breathing a sigh of relief.
'I know no more about what happend than you,' he said softly. She nodded, threading her arms about her knees and rocking back and forth slightly. *I know how that feels.* She said in response. *Too many people, too much charged energy bolting back and forth. Worse than a ricochet. I wish sometimes that I had a place to hide out....but I just have the garden. That doesn't feel so private anymore though.*
Watching his quietly for a few moments as he continued to dig she added *Even if you don't know what happened then...you seem to know some about now. Don't you? I mean...you remember me, and my mother...but I don't really recall anyone or anything, except in brief disjointed flashes. Mainly about myself. If you were close enough to come visit my mother and myself from your self imposed isolation...why aren't you close enough that I have memories of it?* Sei thought about it for a moment. 'I left quietly. Didn't have a long good bye. I doubt even my best friend remembers me. My nieces don't,' he answered softly. 'There are somethings that we forget because part of us doesn't want to remember. I was like you. I had jittered memories. But I also had something from the past to help remind me.' The blurry image of a box and photos in it popped gently into Shi's mind. 'I spent many days looking at these. There are somethings I still cannot remember.'
He sat quietly again, studying her a moment with a slight frown on his face. 'You have hard time shutting others out...?' *I think...it's the other way around.* she answered, a note of anxiety in her voice. *I can't seem to keep myself *in*. When strong emotions...anything happen, it just snowballs. It's like...I make things worse all the time. I wonder what's wrong with me, but anytime Im with people, I upset them. Just being with anyone is torture, I have to hold my breath to try and not bother them, and they still end up becoming unbalanced. I-I hurt them.* she hugged her knees harder *That's when I wish I could just have a place to hide out.*Sei was remembering more about his training, or rather, watching young Shi train in the old days. Things her mother and said and tought were coming back to him the more they spoke.
'It is not you that makes things bad, but rather them. Your abilities able you to buff other's emotions,' He chose his words carefully, his consentration showing in his eyes, as he did not make contact with her. 'True, you can project your own emotions into another, good, bad or claming. I remember your mother taught you how to dampen the ability, unless you wanted it to happen. You can even use it to detect harmful people, or harmful intentions. She blinked. *I try to control it.* she shrugged lightly. *It doesn't work. Only staying away seems to work.* she looked at him oddly *Why don't I affect you that way? *Sei smirked at her. 'Because I am calm. You only make me calmer.'
He tilted her again then reached out a hand, placeing it on her forehead. Gently he moved a memory he had into her, so that it would stay clearer in her mind. The memory was of her training by her mother, from what Sei saw. Some of which was about how to control her energies, bringing them around herself, like a sheild, then streech it out from person to person, if need be. There were also meditation exercises for her to do, inorder to learn how to do these things.
All of this was in her mother's voice.
Once the memory was done, Sei removed his hand. He flexed it abit with a frown. He was going to have to remember not to do that kinda thing with his mask on. He was naturally a telepath and somethings came easier to him, yet with the limitations of the mask, others things were more difficult. She said softly, eyes cast down to hide their brightness *You remember my mother's voice. I heard her talking to me.* she considered the memories carefully, as one would a precious treasure *I used to be able to do that?*Sei nodded. 'That, more, yes.'
He wondered vaguely what it was like to forget the voices of the ones he loved, then tried not to laugh at himself. He had forgotten, once.
But to forget and never be able to remember...? Yes, that would be a sad thing. He reminded himself that's why he often ran their voices, sayings and the like through his mind. He didn't want to forget them again. *I miss her.* she laughed. *Ten minutes ago I didn't even know her...and I miss her.*
Looking up she hugged her knees. *I really want to hug you right now. But that probably isn't a good idea.*He laughed at that one, getting to his feet. 'Don't mind either way. But dinner is calling, so I must go. You have someone you need to talk too, I believe.' He offered her a hand up, holding his walking stick in the other hand. She stared at him blankly, letting him pull her to her feet. *I do?* Then she threw her arms around his neck.Sei give her a breif hug, at the same time pulling up the image of her chosen, mentally winceing. Yeah, he over did it.
'Don't be like me and advoid problems.' He said, softly again and pulled away. She caught the flinch. *Are you allright?* she asked suddenly. He nodded again, having a sheepish look as he rubbed the back of his head. 'Done too much today, that is all. Nothing rest wont cure. Is my own doing.' *Thank you for doing.*she answered, hugging him again. *You will be allright getting home?*He smirked again, backing more into the woods. Dinner was sounding really good right now. 'Course, lived here long time.'
He nodded once more to her and headed deeper into the woods, to where his home was.

Quote: Trinityblue Sei pasued a moment in his walk through the woods, looking around. It seemed like forever since he had walked in these woods. Had he been at Lyra''s place that long, recovering? Most likely. And here he was now, following her magical trail. She had gone some place and something told him it might not be a good thing. She was more than free to do what she wanted to do, but all the same. He being maskless and the king not could equal trouble. He sighed, then continued to walk towards where he last sinced her magic being. Green_Eyes In the short amount of time that he''d spent with his sister, she''d given him so much to think about. She had pushed buttons only she would have dared to push; and too many issues had been brought to the surface at the same time.
After she''d left he''d slumped down on the nearest log, and buried his mask covered face in his hands.
He missed Sound terribly...
... and then, there was the guilt.
He should have been able to do something that night. Nika was sure that he could have stopped it... if only... If only he''d had more time. Trinityblue Sei reached out, moving some branches aside from his path and paused once more at seeing a figure hunched over, face in his hands.
Nika. His shoulders slumped a bit as he realized she would go stright for him. Well, here went nothing. Slowly and gently he placed a cartoony image of himself watching Nika from behind, mor ein the forest. It was a good way of making his presence known.
Or so he figured. Green_Eyes Nika jumped when he recieved the cartoony image of Sei watching him, startled at having his thoughts so suddenly interupted. It brought him relief, however; A distraction from everything that was troubling him.
Nevermind that Sei was Sound''s brother.
He twisted on the log, turning to smile and wave half-heartedly at Sei, ''Hey.'' Trinityblue Oh boy. Lyra did a real number on him, possibly.
He returned the greeting with a small nod and a soft smile that was hidden behind the mask, stepping out of the woods and going to where Nika was. He took a seat under a tree facing the teen, leaning his walking stick against him, over a shoulder and crossing his arms on it. His eyes studied him a moment.
''Appologies. What troubles you...?'' He asked, his mental voice being soft once more. Green_Eyes ''There''s no need to apologize,'' Nika''s voice sounded friendly enough, and the teen was trying his best to pretend that nothing was wrong. Sometimes, though, it was just too hard to disguise the frustration and hurt.
''You''re cartoons always make me smile,'' he added, wondering if he could get away with not answering Sei''s questiong.
He studied the other masked being for a moment and then decided that, no, Sei wouldn''t let him ignore the question.
''I just met my sister dearest.''
Even he was surprised by the bitternes in his tone. Trinityblue Sei smirked behind the mask at the way Nika answered him. Trying to advoid the question only to wind up answering it. Well, that saved him the trouble of prying further for his answer.
''Lyra.. does have way with people.'' He said, slowly again and once more studying the teen-king. Well, he wasn''t really a king any more, now was he?
''She bring up unwanteding things..?'' He asked. Judgeing by how he was, those things more than liekly messed with Nika''s head. Green_Eyes ''She sure does.''
It wasn''t in his character to spit or snap or lose control, but Lyra had always been able to bring out the worst in him and at the moment, the mere thought of her was enough to drive him to do...
...something very unNika-like...
''She brought up some things...'' he spoke slowly, choosing his words carefully. At first, he''d thought that Sei could have distracted him from his troubles, and now he found himself telling the other masque about what was troubling him, ''About the night we were cursed... and... Sound.''
He had never mentioned her out loud before. It seemed so much more real now, actually saying it...
''Sound...'' he repeated, more to himself then to Sei. Trinityblue ''Cantalena.'' Sei said simply. ''Her names was once Cantalena. My twin.'' His voice wasn''t harsh as he mentally spoke the words, but it was more distant, as if it had come from his past self.
Again he watch Nika, noting the more agreesive behavior that was caused by whatever was said. This wouldn''t be good if he was to move on with it. ''Speaking of it might help. I remember that night.'' Green_Eyes ''Thanks,'' he smiled at Sei, glad to finally have a name to call her by. Cantalena. It was beautiful... and to him, it suited her perfectly.
''How do you remember it?''
Nika had spent some time wondering if the others, who had been cursed like him, blamed him for what had happened. The teen felt as though it was his fault, and that he should have been able to stop what had happened from happening.
That, more than anything else, was what made him angry.
He was dissapointed in himself. Why hadn''t he noticed sooner? Maybe then he could have stopped it.
It was Lyra who had brought this anger to the surface and he was upset-
Wait.
The more rational part of his brain had sudddenly decided to kick in.
Why was he mad at his sister?
He wasn''t.
Now that he really thought about it, he wasn''t mad at her.
She''d only brought the issues to the surface, and perhaps she''d poured a bit of salt on his old wounds, but overall, she wasn''t the reason he was so upset.
Nika had been using her, tricking himself into believing that he was mad at her because it kept it from realizing the truth.
He was angry with himself; dissapointed and upset. Trinityblue ''Remember people, lots of people all over.'' Sei started, closing his eyes and leaning against the tree as he brough up the memory. ''Music, laugher, masks... People danced. Good food too. Very good mini sausages.'' He smirked at this thought since he had been at the snack bar mostly, and trying to advoid as many of the laughing people as possible. ''Hated parties.''
''Then... was yelling, bright flash with screams, and nothing.'' He finished, looking at Nika again. He had been worried then, when he had heard the yelling. But that worry was short lived once the light, the curse, hit them all.
Again something was going on in Nika''s head and Sie waited for him to tell. If he would tell. Green_Eyes A smile was hidden behind his mask as Sei retold the happier events of the night.
''It was excellent, wasn''t it? The food, I mean,'' there was a hint of humor in his voice, ''I remember the cherry flavored jello really well. Now, that was some fine jello.''
And then, when Sei began to describe the yelling and the bright flash of light, any hint that Nika''s mood might have been lightening dissapeared.
He wanted to tell somebody... To get everything off of his chest...
...and something was urging him to tell Sei.
But what would Sei think of him? Would he blame him for not reacting soon enough?
''I...'' his voice shook and Nika stared up at the sky. He focused on a stray cloud and he watched as the wind pushed it, ''I... should have... should have been... I should have seen it coming. Sei, I know I could have stopped it... I just needed a bit more time.''
Again, his mind wondered about all of the innocent lives lost that night. Trinityblue There was silence between them as Sei thought on how best to answer him. It wasn''t Nika''s fault it had happened. If anything-
''I... am as much to blame as you believe you are.'' He said carefully, looking stright at Nika. '' If more time, could silenced the spell and it never effected.''
''Don''t blame you.''Green_Eyes A small bubble of understanding swelled in the pit of his stomach, and it sat there for a few moments before he turned to Sei, meeting his gaze.
''It wasn''t your fault...''
And then, the bubble of understanding swelled a few sizes larger and the corners of his eyes turned upwards in a smile.
''Thank you.''
Sei always seemed to know what to say and exactly when to say it... That was definately a gift.
''I don''t blame you, either.'' Trinityblue Sei''s eyes also curved as he grinned behind the mask. Course, he never blamed himself for what happened, but he wasn''t about to let Nika know that. Besides, at the same time it made him feel good also, not to be blamed.
But there was one more thing he wanted to ask. One more thing he needed to know. The smile faded as he thought of how to ask. ''Cantalena.. what do you remember? .. How does it make you feel...?'' Green_Eyes If it had been anybody else to ask the question, possibly even Io or Zahar, he would have withdrawn. Nika just wouldn''t have been able to answer the question...
...but it was different with Sei. It just seemed okay to talk about Cantalena with him. He was her brother; Sei had known things about Cantalena that even Nika might have never learned. Things only a sibling could know.
''Honestly,'' he felt ashamed to admit it, ''Not very much. I remember her voice the most clearly... and a few other little things.''
''I miss her.'' Trinityblue Not much? Well, that was to be expected, but at least he remembered her. Not like before.
''Remember you greived greatly. If.... mask is removed you will remember. Everything.'' Or atleast to the extent that one would normally remember. ''Masks keep memories from us.'' Green_Eyes Was Sei giving him a choice? Nika studied him, briefly and then he ran a nervous hand through his blonde hair.
Did he want to remember everything?
That was why he hadn''t sought Sei out in the first place. He''d been able to link him with Lyra and Io, and he''d guessed that Sei had something to do with them being maskless but he never asked any questions... never asked how or when or why.
He''d just accepted it.
...because he was afraid.
Afraid of remembering... and afraid of hurting.
Would it really be so bad? A part of the pain he was experiencing now was not being able to remember Cantelena. He wanted to remember her so badly and at the same time he was afraid.
''I''m afraid of remembering,'' he admitted, ''but... I''d rather remember everything than be left with pieces of a puzzle. I''m not sure what will hurt more, remembering everything or not being able to remember.''
Something Sei had said earlier reminded him off something.
''About that night? You said you could have silenced the magic and stopped it? Is that how you removed Io''s and Lyra''s masks, then? By silencing the magic?'' Trinityblue Sei nodded simply, still looking at him as his fingers rubbed together. ''Silence is me. No other spell talants have I but that.'' This was going to hurt... and make Lyra pissed. She might not even take him back to her nice, quite sub-space pocket. Where the thoughts of others couldn''t invade his mind.
''Will be drained. You may experence some pain, full power and memories will come back. Io and Lyra both passed out. Believe you have remembered the most important thing that would hurt you. Some memories can be so... tramatic that one cannot excape it. Want to avoid that.'' He explained.
''Choice is yours, no others.''Green_Eyes Pain? Nika faultered, reconsidering. It wasn''t so bad, living like he was. He''d grown used to it...
...but he longed to be able to speak, to be able to feel the wind brush his cheek...
Was he ready?
Mixed feelings replaced the bubble of understanding that had sat, comfortably at the pit of his stomach and now, he felt like he might be sick.
He wanted to remember.
Didn''t he?
Yes.
...but he was afraid of remembering.
...and yet, he wanted to rememeber.
Nika swallowed his fear and smiled at Sei. He was worried, yes, but he knew, that when he looked back upon this day that he would regret choosing not to remember.
He had to do this.
For himself.
''Alright,'' he took a deep, calming and relaxing breath, ''I want to remember.'' Trinityblue Sei almost smirked at the inner turmoil that Nika was going through. He knew what it was like, seeing how he was so tempted to take off his own mask. But there was still the fear of not knowing everything that held him back. However seeing Nika take on that fear made him feel better about it.
He might not be the last Masque to have the mask removed... but he''d still wait on that.
He stood, walking till he was closer to Nika, then sat on the ground, placing his stick beside him. ''Might be my own pain I speak of. Come, sit on the ground in front of me.''
He just hoped Lyra would take him in after this...Green_Eyes Nika moved slowly. He was worried. Immensely.
What if something went wrong? Would he be able to stand the pain?
He smiled at Sei as he sat down on the ground in front of him and spoke, ''Do me a favor? Make sure Gee knows where I am. You mentioned that I might pass out? Well, I''m afraid she''ll go nuts with worry if I don''t show up tonight.''
He''d only said it to lighten the atmoshpere. Was it just him, or was there too much tension?
He took another, calming breath. At the moment, he found that relaxing was a difficult thing to accomplish.
Now that the moment was actually happening he was excited and curious... but those two feelings were closely followed by impatience and worry.
All he could do now was sit and wait.
Trinityblue Again Sei nodded and then closed his eyes as he placed a hand on Nika''s mask. First he would search for Gee though Nika''s link, then he would go on with the mask removal.
The link too a moment to find, but once a connection was made he sent the image of him and Nika in the woods and the surround area. Hopefully she would be able to figure out where.
Then he withdrew, focusing in on the mask itself and placing is other hand on it. He was also nervous, but for a slightly different reason. The ''removal'' was the easy part. Dealing with the after effects of the magic drain was another thing.
Sei moved those thoughts out of his head, forcing his mind on the mask and the magic in it. Slowly he began to sever the mask''s magic, sepereting it from Nika''s. As he did, he pulled the mask slowly away from the other man''s face. Once it was off he tossed the mask away from them.
It took amoment, the thoughts of people quickly creeping up on his mind, focing their way in. He groaned silently, moving to the side and gripping his head agian as the thoughts became louder, screaming in his head. Green_Eyes It was the strangest feeling.
Sei had mentioned that he might have experienced pain and he was right. It was unlike anthing he had ever felt before and he longed to yell at Sei to stop, but he held his tongue. He''d made his decision and he was going to go through with it.
It would all be worth it in the end. He was sure.
Nika felt Sei remove his mask and he bombarded with a series of noises, voices, sights.
He was vaguely aware of Sei, clutching his head and groaning in pain. Nika could do nothing to comfort the other man, for he couldn''t focus on anything... His mind swam...
His eyes rolled backwards, and then there was blackness as he hit the ground with a soft thud.

Quote: It had been a few weeks since finding Nika. Two, to be precise. The odd day or two more or less did not detract from the overall timeframe. Her mind worked that way recently. Twitchy, Chae called it. Only she hadn't called it that. Shiva had still very little to say to her guardian. Embarrasment post growing had bloomed into outright estrangement once Chae had introduced that rade cub into the mixture. She hated all things Rade with a passion. The last time she had been this emotionally spent, she had stumbled across Sei, who had given her some equilibrium. She hadn't seen him since that day...and even though she was sure he was there the day Nika had shed his mask, she had not found him. Perhaps he would be around this time. She had very little else to turn to. Even if she wasn't sure exactly where he lived, the closeness would be there. "Do I gotta??" The young Rade looked up at the masked man, then back to the masked woman in the woods. Charlie was growing and strong for a cub that was raised away from his pride, but it was needed, and he knew why. As for the man, he nodded simply, then walked deeper into the woods he called home. Charlie just knew he was enjoying all of this. Greatly. This man had a very twisted since of humor at times. He signed and finally padded towards the girl, making as much noise as he could. It would be safe since they weren't in the other Rade's land. "Hey.." He called out, just incase. Last thing he wanted to do was sneek up on the known Rade hater. The greeting did not fall on deaf ears in the least. Turning quickly, she kept her hands noticably near her weapons. But not on them. Her eyes narrowed spitefully. Only to those that did not pay attention did Rade look alike. This one she knew. *What is it?* she said, no trace of friendliness in her tone. Great. She had come for friendship and instead had another Rade shoved under her nose. The Universe had a sick sense of timing. "Um.." He started out, then frowned. If she was going to treat him agressivly then he might as well stand his ground, right? He looked back at her, determiation in his gold-green eyes. "Look, I know you don't like me and other Rade. But you also know I'm not your foe. I'm a friend. And you know that I could hurt you, but I don't. Just as I know you can hurt me, but don't." This wasn't going to change a thing, but it felt good to say. "And anyway, I'm just being suckered into being a erron boy. The old man wants to talk to you." The Rade went on, starting to turn away from her. Yep, showing his back to her, though his ears were turned to listen to her movements. Friend? only the knowledge of how extremely demeaning to herself it would be...prevented Shi from laughing outright. *I have no Rade friends.* she answered with a simple grimness. *It is not by my own determination you live. But it will also not be my determination that you die. Such is life. I forget much, but I remember a little more every now and then. And whenever I remember your kind, I remember the pain that has been given.* That was more than she had meant to say, but it had burst from her at his instigation. His turning his back to her galled her. Gritting her teeth quietly she said *I will follow you back.* 'You shouldn't be so hard on him.' Sei's soft voice told her. He had, of course, been listening. He was waiting for them, leaning against a tree, his staff in hand. "I hope you're happy. Shi hates Rades, even me. And I did nothing wrong!" He gripped, looking back at her. Then he sighed, walking around the tree Sei was on before taking a seat next to it. On the farest side from Shi. Shi blinked slightly at the admonishment. Then crossed her arms. *I wasn't trying to be hard on him.* she argued, suddenly argumentative. *But Im not about to offer him a backrub and some kitty chow, okay?* There was an amused twinkle in Sei's dark eyes. 'Kitty chow..?' He asked, the cartoony image of a kitten Charlie being very happy around a little bowl of what looked like cat food flashed in their minds gently. There were little hearts coming from the cartoon-kitty. Charlie shot him a dirty look for that. "I don't even know what it is." He muttered. Shi felt amusement threaten, but refused to give in to it. *Are you okay? Nika was rattled by what happened, but when we found him, you weren't around. It was you that helped him, wasn't it?* 'Might.' He said simply, studying her for a moment before he spoke again. His mental voice was still soft and calm. 'How have you been?' She shrugged. *I've been keeping busy with things. This and that. Things have been rather quiet lately, so I don't trust it to last.* she matched her own tone to his. He seemed to be acting oddly a bit. And he didn't answer her questions. Not that ... that was new or anything, but it hurt a bit, the nonchalance. *I just wanted to check on you and see you were okay.* she repeated, a bit inanely. 'I am alright. Could be better, but Lyra is currently mad at me for Nika.' He told her simply, not at all ashamed to be aquantinces with the other masque female that others seemed to dislike. But that was her own doing. 'Had to leave the area before you and the others arrived. Sorry.' He explained a bit lamly. She hadn't thought of that. She frowned slightly behind her mask, biting her lower lip. Surely a breach of decorum, but noone was there to see it...if even they could. *We make your head hurt.* she affirmed in understanding, trying not to frown more about his comment on Lyra. He should stay away from that woman...but Seii apparently liked living on the edge... Scowling, she tried to think about something else. *Can I get you anything? Do you need to sit down a bit?* His shoulders shook lightly in a silent chuckle before he looked over at her once more. 'I am alright. Yes, others make my head hurt if I am too weak to place sheilds. Shields are in place.' He told her. The last was to let her know he wasn't in a weakened state now. *Oh.* she said. *that's allright, then.* She suddenly felt awkward, not knowing what to say. Why was it she was always so tied up in knots these days. *It was...good for Nika, what you did for him.* she affirmed. *It's too bad that woman is upset. But he deserves to know, since he wanted to. It's his right. In the end, it might perhaps make him happy. I'd like to see that happen.* She hesitated for a moment, but then *Obviously you didn't do it for my gratitude, but you have it anyway.* Always the protecter. Always trying to take care of another, but then.. she and the other dragon mask(s) were the last of the gaurds, so he didn't blame her. How could he?
'You are correct. Gratitude is not required, but accepted.' He softly told her. Though there was something else he wanted to say, and he waited abit before speaking again, finding the correct words. 'What has happened to make you so... stiff... to a friend?' He finally asked.
Of course, there was the obvious answer that she was this way to seperate herself from her empathic nature. But he wanted her to say what it was, rather than guess.
It wasn't like it wasn't obvious, but she felt rather deflated to have been pierced so quickly and efficiently.
*Things.* she answered, her own voice rather subdued. *Life, I guess. The easy answers. Im not entirely sure. Things are changing very quickly now, and I'm trying to adapt. But many of the things that change make me very wary. I often feel like I need to be on edge all the time to wait for the traumatic things I think are hovering out of sight, to descend.*
She shrugged. *Sometimes I think I don't fit in my own skin. But I guess that could be normal enough. It seems noone needs me to protect them anymore.*
Sei stood there for a few moments before he started to slide down the tree, taking a seat on the soft moss that grew in the shade. He was mulling over what she had said, working out a reply.
'Some.. believe that our bodies are simply shells for a time, for our souls. Currently, the mask is.. holding us all back. We aren't as we were.'
'You remember your role, yes? Protecter... but we aren't as we were,' He repeated, looking at her. 'Roles have changed. You need a new role, or to realise it.'
'In a twisted way... the accedent came out to be something good, in the end.' He said carefuly, then continued before she could start with how horrible it was for the lose of life. But everyone dies sometime. Some sooner than others. It was callause of him, but wasn't about to do something about it. 'Before, Nika still suffered from the loss of his wife. You were never able to be close to comfort. Now you have that chance, that ability if you choose.'
She shrugged *Old habits die hard.* she said, finding comfort in the platitude. *I still want to protect people. I find myself doing so, regardless of if it is needed or not. I find in most instances, such urges are useless. On a dead world, who needs a protector?* she shrugged again, leaning against the tree.
*There is truth in what you say. Roles have been redefined. And yet...what we had could not have been all bad. But how can one determine that which is fitting and that which should be discarded when memory is like a phantasm? Such things are difficult. I knew my role once. I was good at it, I thought. Not good enough, apparently. I wasn't able to prevent this, but that is a guilt many bear. It is not a useful guilt. It yields nothing constructive that one can learn from.*
Sighing she went to rub her eyes, and then stopped as she touched the cold surface of her mask. *Nika grieved for a long time. I wasn't able to help before. He would let noone near but his children. I do not know what comfort they gave him. But was our relationship built on lies? He has not said. It worries me, that now he recalls his one true love...that a lesser affection has no place.*
Lesser affection. She cared for him with a passion that was far from less. But if she downplayed it...maybe the eventual and feared breakup would not devestate her as much.
There was a faint smirk on his face, not that she could tell. 'Lesser love? No, I think not. My sister was no doubt that, but just because one loves one, and that one has gone over, this doesn't mean he can't love another. He will always have a place in his heart for her, but that doesn't mean there isn't anyroom for anyone else.' He told her seriously.
'And you are protective. It is good, will be good for the children that come.' He added, another twinkle in his dark eyes. 'The world isn't dead. Very much alive, just look around, there is much to do.' He went on, jestering to the woods.
She was shocked into a small chuckle. Nervous almost. Self conscious. *Children? Getting a bit ahead of yourself, aren't you?*
She sobered quickly though. *Dead to us, I mean. Perhaps that is just as well. The other life can thrive now.*
He smiling grinned under his mask, then it faded for her other statement. 'Why do you say it is dead to us? Because it is not as you remember it? I have lived in the woods, even before the accedent.' He said.
*Because it's empty.* she replied simply. *I see crumbling ruins, and they hold little meaning for me. I see faces, and save for brief glimmers of thought, there is no association. This entire planet screams nothingness. The birds, and the plants do not feel this. The ruins do not. The house in the woods does not. It is not something that can be weighed and sounded.*
'Homeless.' He said simply, nodding. His woods were no longer his when he awoke, and he remembered that feeling. Even now he wasn't as attached to things as he had once been. 'I understand the feeling. One day, I will enjoy seeing beyond our world. Return here, for here is..... home. Regaurdless. Your attachments for here are hollow. I have a cabin, with pictures, with ... my old life. Old attachments. But not as strong as once were.' He told her, his voice still soft.
She shrugged. *It has gotten more prevalent as I grow older.* she answered. *Or rather, I become more able to understand the feelings that are there. I used to think that the new could overcome the old...but the old is more powerful in its mystery. I wonder if we are not just the ghosts that haunt this place now.*
Again his shoulders shook in a silent chuckle. 'Then you are suggesting us ghosts should move on to a higher plan?' He asked her, a slight teasing in his soft voice.
She shrugged, a short indication of her own shoulders. *I don't really know what I am saying. Just what is there in my mind. My own efforts never seem enough, perhaps I could be a proper haunt.*
'Relax.' He said, somber and serious once more. Then he sighed, getting back to his feet. 'Come, let me show you something.' He told her, starting to walk deeper into the woods.
Charlie looked up at this and got to his own feet, starting to follow them. Their foots steps were soundless as they walked through the woods.
She unwound herself, and padded after him quietly. *I gather that Im not to know our destination yet?* she asked.
'You who spent your life in the city and the palace, I doubt you would even know where it is we go.' He said ruefully. 'Just a good view. I had wanted to show Lyra, but she wouldn't listen.' The last was more to himself than to her. Ah well.
She frowned at the implication. And additional frustration. *I will have to take your word for that, won't I?* she kicked at a rock at her feet. She didn't intend to sound surly, but she didn't intend alot of things
This time a sigh rang though the telepathic link they were sharing. It was followed by him glancing at her over his shoulder. 'You were too busy, I'm sure. And it this is pretty far for the King to hve roamed. However, I could be wrong.' He said.
'You are greatly wound up, still, Shiva.'
*I probably liked being busy.* she replied, with only faint defensiveness. *And I am, Im sorry.*
'Yes, you worked very hard and now, suddenly, there is nothing to really work hard on, nor have you found something to place that in.' He said, coming into his own conclusions, really. But at least he was being verble in them.
She shrugged, knowing that to be a foregone conclusion, something she had already expressed, just not in the same exact words he used.
*I can't recally, really.* she repeated. *I just feel it sometimes.*
'Feeling is good. Is correct for what I remember..' He said, his voices now turned a bit sad. Then he sighed again. 'The past and memory of it is important to you, isn't it?' he finally asked, leading up up an incline. It wasn't a steep climb, one they could easily make.
*It's mine, whether it is good or bad.* she answered. **you mentioned it yourself, these masks hold us back. They keep things from us, seperate us from what we are. If it were a truly new start...* she said more softly *It might be different...but how can a start be new when all that is there remains? Things sometimes tease me with questions that I cannot answer. One can equate it to living with a limb removed. That limb may have been unhealthy, but it was still a part of you.*
He nodded, being silent still as he lead her up the incline. After a bit of quiet walking, he stopped, looking back at her. 'To first move on, you must look back?' He inquired.
*possibly so.* she conceeded. *But if we cannot make a true choice...knowing it all, is it not just being a victim to our circumstance? Is this in truth freedom?* she tapped her mask. *If it was, why have Io, and Nika chosen to not continue on as we are? Is that a choice any of us can honestly make? To choose to live with only half of ourselves?*
Some things we know have been locked up, not by the curse, but by ourselves. To regain one's fully self is a dangerous thing. Especailly if you are not fully prepared.' He told her in warning. 'As I am, I am limited and I could not help if one remembered something to great for them.'
'Would you be willing to take that chance?'
She stopped in mid step, turning and staring at him for a moment. *Too great?* she inquired. *Is there something you know that I don't?* she kept her eyes locked on him *Or have you chosen to be content with half of yourself?* there was no condemnation in that question, but a sraightforward request for informatiom.
'Content? No. I would like out of the mask as well. But... I have a fear. That all of my memories are not yet back. That I might have an event too great that I have locked up.' He told her. 'There are some events we forget, because we cannot bear it. To have it rush at us can be very bad, mentally. If I were to have that happen.. I do not know what would happen to the rest of you.' He confided in her.
She frowned, digesting that. *would it be better to have others around to help you, in that case?* she answered.
'. . . How would others help me?' He asked her, now wondering this. He was telepathic to begin with... If it was great enough, mere words wouldn't be enough.
Though, he was seriously thinking about taking the risk. After he had a chat with... well either Nika or Lyra.
*How can others that care about not help?* she countered fairly. *If we are going to do some in depth soul searching, let's turn it all ways. You hide out here...whether hiding for or away from something. You like your privacy, but even that can deal with closeness sometimes. right?*
There was another smile spreading on his face. Bout time someone started to trun this around. 'Not a people person. The other gaurds were not... my friends. And I stopped trusting many people around me all at once.' He told her, debating if he should slip into the full details or not. Those weren't good times. 'Your mother taught me how to defend myself, if you recall.'
She frowned. *I...hadn't recalled.* she said tentatively. But now that the words had been spoken, it sparked recollection.
*People can be ignorant.* she just said in response *Not all people are like that. And like you said. Things are different now.*
'Some things scar, even in this life. However, I am slowly recovering.' He said, as if to reassure her that he was fine.
'What do you remember of then?' He then asked, almsot suddenly.
*About you? Just what you've told me. I remember the woods a little...did you ever bring me here?*
she frowned a bit *I remember the night of the ball a bit. That there was noise, and dancing, and that I was somehow not really a part of it. I remember that Lyra had been there...but we sent her off. I remember a bright light.*
The flashes were coming more quickly *I remember my mother's voice, I remember the day she died. I remember how cold it felt, knowing she was dead. I remember the day that the Queen died. And I remember how much Nika mourned thereafter. He changed then...even an outsider could see.*
He nodded solomly, then turned from her, walking forward again and moving aside the brush. Beyond them was the landscape of forests, out in the distance was a medow and a river. But mostly the view was that of one up high on a clift. Which he had lead her too. Just to enjoy the view.
'I don't expect to be remembered.' He said softly.
*That's the point, though.* she answered softly. *I don't remember. Almost anything. Sometimes...when I'm with people, I can see bits and pieces. But others....*
*I want to remember those things.* she felt she had hurt him, and that wounded her as well. *I'm sorry I don't. I try sometimes, but the memories just won't come!*
This time a chuckle was sent. It was only how he had imagened how his chuckle would sound, if he had a voice. 'As I said, I expect no one to remember me. Even Io had trouble remembering me. I'm not hurt by it.' He told her reassuringly.
*But it hurst me.* she objected. *What other things don't I know anymore? What other faces or voices? What other friends...* she shook her head. *if there is pain in memory, is it all just pain and nothing else? Life isn't just one thing or another...it can't be. I want to feel like a whole person again...and I can't as I am.* she shook her head.
*there is no decision in this. It has already been made.*
He was quiet again, going to the open grass and taking a seat, laying his staff down beside him. 'What do you remember... of your mothers death?' He asked finally, not looking at her.
She was startled, although she should not have been. Sitting down she shook her hair away from her face.
*I- not as much as there was...I don't think.* she answered quietly. *I remember that there was a reason I hate the Rade...and that her life and the loss thereof was not the least of it...*
She felt suddenly chilled and hugged herself.
He simply nodded to this. 'She was a good person.' He said, leaning back on his hands.
she didn't say anything at first, but then her voice came out quietly *Will you leave it at that, then?*
He looked back at her, studying her for a moment. 'You don't want to hear more? Or to even remember?' He asked, gently.
*No.* she shook her head.*For a moment there...I was afraid that was all you would say.* she looked down at her fingers, chilled digits, counting the extra one subconsciously.
'So.. that's a no you don't want to know more?' He asked.
*No.* she clarified *I was afraid you would stop speaking. I do want to know.*
She was very kind, and gental. She started to teach me how to defend myself.' He stared. The words were accompied with small flashes of his memory. The beginning ones were of her mother, her smile, while the last ones were of being surrounded by other boys and fists. It ended quickly.
It was probably odd for others to learn he used to be the kid that got shoved into walls and picked on by other kids. 'But her kindness was match by her strength. She was a very good warrior. You are like her is many ways.'
Shi latched on to the image of her mother's face, matching it to the voice she had already been given. She memorized the eyes, knowing them to be similar to her own. She wished she remembered her name.
She glowered as she realized that Seii had been bullied. *I loathe bullies.* she snarled. *I'm glad she taught you. I hope you wiped the floor with them all.*
'I believe they are gone now. But after I learned, they stopped.' He told her, smirking despite himself. Then he looked at her and reached out with a hand, touching hers. 'Would you like to see more of her?' He asked.
She nodded. *Why can't we remember?* she asked. *What was done to stop us?*
'Part of it is the spell. Then things we enjoyed, the intiment memories we have, our pasts. Another part is trama. The things that have happened to us, such as loss or an event that we could never get over, so our minds locked it away. Removing the curse would allow it all to return. We would undergo everything that happened again.' He told her. These her his own thinkings, and the studies he had made analising the spell on his own mask.
He went quiet a moment, sharing flashes of every memory he had of her mothers and her as he trained.
She let the memories cascade through her, grabbing on to every last one of them and trying to memorize them. There were so few of them. So very few.
Was it selfish? Wanting more? She wanted her mother. All children wanted their mothers. She felt very much a child now.
Chae wasn't her mother.
The thoughts whirled one after another, chasing back and forth in her mind. But she couldn't reconcile them.
*What happened to her?* she finally asked, softly.
'..... She was killed by a Rade attack. I believe it happened as she protected the princesses.' He told her. Frankly his memory was a little shaky on the details. But this would link her to her hate of Rade now.
Charlie stiffened where he was. Oh bloody great..
*It figures.* she merely said, not looking up. She was staring at her fingers, counting them again over and over.
He glanced at her hand, noting the extra finger and smiled. Not that she could see. So that had even carried over here?
"Um." Charlie broke in, walking towards them and keeping his eyes on Shi. "They killed my mom also." He told her softly. But why? Why was he trying so hard to be accepted by her?
She stiffened slightly, not looking up.
*Im sorry.* she answered finally. *I should feel more sympathy, perhaps. But I feel none.*
Her tone was still very quiet. She did not know how the Rade could understand her, but had accepted it. Her fury was old, ancient almost. But even fury would not condone injuring that which posed no threat.
But that did not mean she had to accept and welcome such.
Sei was allowing this trasaction. Normally he didn't do it, but hell, Charlie was a little greatful. Least he understood. "Barron killed my mom. I want to fight him. Once he and his supporters are gone, I can clam leadership and things between our races wont be as they were." He told her calmly. "But I need to be strong..."
* I have no belief in that.* now she did look up at him, eyes remote and chill. *I don't remember much, but such passion is hard to deny.
*I don't trust your kind. And if any of them threaten me or those I protect, I will have no mercy towards them.*
Charlie sighed. "Look I know that already. Bah! This is useless! You a very hardheaded closed minded female, ya know that?" He told her, walking back to his spot, cursing the whole way.
She lowered her eyes to her fingers again, unclenching them. *I'm sorry.* she answered *I guess I am not much like my mother in that regard.*
'You are, and were angrgy.' Sei said, though Charlie visible relaxed at those words.
*To say the least.* she answered. *Like everything else, it's a whisper out of a past that no longer exists for me.*
He went quiet again before he spoke. 'Would you like it back? The past you?' He asked her.
She countered *You say that I am much like my mother now. Was that not true before? Is there something you are trying to shield me from?If so, what?*
'Your mothers death is the thing that worried me. But now that you know, you are prepared, I hope. But if you would like, the mask will be gone.' Then he blinked, remembering something. 'And break them once gone. They are still cursed.' He added.
*Won't that hurt you?* she asked softly.
'A pain that will leave in time. A pain I can bear.' He told her with a shrug, then reached out, one hand on her mask. 'The choice is yours. We wont know, good or bad, what happends. But I feel you are ready.' He told her honestly.
*I have to be.* she answered quietly. *I think we are too far past the time where we can hide behind any type of mask. You called it a curse, not a blessing...therefore it needs to be banished.*
'Our memories are our own, no one elses.' He told her, then moved so both his hands were on her mask. In truth, he didn't want to do this. He didn't want the pain again. But it was that, or let he rlive with only a part of herself. She couldn't move on until she knew.
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes starting his own unique magic. Slowly he seperated the spell on the mask from Shi and began to pull the mask off. It faught as it always did. But he continued to silence the spell, Seperating it til the mask was covered in it and he pulled it away from her.
She felt a dim roaring, a ringing in her ears. The pressure around her face tightened, and she struggled to sit still. The noise was getting more insistant, becoming a cacephony of screaming and noise.
Emotions slammed into her, strong. Flashes of images, feelings, sensations. She felt the wind against her lips and opened them to taste the air.
The wind was a lullabye. Something that soothed the angry voices down.
Or perhaps that was her.
Like a feather on the breeze, she slid to the ground, silent and chill.
He tossed the mask to the side and reached down, touching her a moment and fighting against losing his shields again. It would happen though. But he needed to make sure she was alright.
She seemed fine... He'd have to check on her later. With that thought, he too went to the ground. Charlie watched this, uncertian on what to do, but he finally padded over to them both.
He'd have to carry the old man and her home... Great.

Quote: Zahar wandered into the forest a little south east of home base. It was mid day and she was looking to see if she could find any berries for breakfast tomorrow. She had been staying with SK at and abandoned forge. Her clothes had changed to green pants and a green shirt, a dark cloak over her shoulders. Her dress was quite destroyed from the fighting she had seen earlier in the catacombs. Zahar wasn't the only one who was out picking berries for food. Sei had migrated to this portion of the wood, remember that here is where wild berries had once grown. He was in his typical clothing: tattered, hand made pants and sleeveless shirt with a dark brown cloak over it. A staff in his hand. His long black hair hung braded down his back. Zahar had finally spotted a bush and wandered over. Dropping down to her knees she started picking the berries and placing them into her basket. She didn't notice Sei around. Figuring that any sound was probably SK's friendly ROUS. He did, for sounds meant things were around. And some things might be Rade, wondering out of their territory. He glanced around, then almost jumped at the sight of Zahar. She looked so much like her.... Especailly in those clothes. It reminded him of past things. He shrugged off the pain that threatened to return, the lose of her, his twin. It was the whole reason why he had been more hesitant in seeing her than any of the others. Even Nika. He went to a near by tree, leaning up against it and watched her a moment before gently placing the cartoony image of him watching her, in her ming. Zahar started at the image hesitating and wondering if she was going crazy. She vaugely recognized the person in her mind. Standing she turned around in the area and saw Sei. H-hello? Maybe she should go back to the forge. Her eyes were a bit frightened. He couldn't help it. A very small snort escaped him with that look, also making him relax more. He then started to place more images, and sounds, in to her mind in the same gental fashion. Ones of Io staying at his place, calling him uncle. Photographs of Io and Zahar as little kids, playing in a kid's swimming pool. The some images of him and Nika talking, he and Shiva talking. Of Ice, and of Trinity. All were gently moving though her mind as if to sooth her. 'I'm Seishoku.' He said softly. 'Your uncle.' Sei... king of suddelity. Zahar gulped and took a step back. You know what happened that night do you not? Why are you here? She now looked sad and a little relieved. So many questions ran through her head. Mostly though she was ashamed and worried what he would think of her actions. Io and Nika do not have their masks on? 'I know what happened, as I am sure you do.' He said carefully as he watched her. She was like a scared rabbit, finally being confronted with something she didn't want to, but at the same time, she wanted the confrontation. 'You tell me.' He added with a small shrug, but he didn't leave the place at the tree. Zahar shivered and hugged herself. 'I did not mean to do it uncle you have to believe me... I was tricked.' She looked down at her feet eyes welling slightly. 'Lyra told me it would be for a light show, I did not think that she would lie to me, that she would teach me something so terrible as the curse. And... and when I saw Io and Kasai, I grabbed the first spell I had on my mind.' Zahar turned her back to Sei and slouched into herself a bit. He studied her carefully. 'Your emotions changed what Lyra taught. But tell me.... why would you use such a thing on your sister?' He asked her, though his mental voice was not angry or blaming. I... She was...' Zahar blushed the skin around her mask going a bit more orange then yellow. 'Kasai and her were really close, and the way that they were... I got jealous. I wanted more then anything to blind them and run away. It was supposed to be a happy night. It was supposed to be a night for Kasai and myself.' She started to tear up and she looked her uncle in the eyes. 'I got jealous though, I got angry and jealous. I cause us all to be locked up and I can not fix it. I can not save the ones who had their masks broken. I killed so many from my childish reaction to something that could have been explain... but I did not want to hear it.' He was such a sucker for tears. Sei let out a silent sigh, moving from the tree and over to her. Then he, hesitently, pulled her to in in a small hug. Such close contact was resurved for only those really dear to him, so he endured it. 'What did you learn from it?' He then asked. She cried lightly on her shoulder for a few moments before softly speaking to him again, 'That I have to think before I act. I should have waited to ask Io what really happened.' She looked up into Sei's eyes still crying lightly. 'What if nothing was happening at all. I just jumped to a conclusion that I should not have.' Wiping her mask cry she took a little step away from her uncle. 'I am sorry, I just seem to be emotional these days. I even ran away from the base. I do not know how to tell everyone what happened, or even if I should. I do not even remember everything as of yet.' He let her pull away with ease. 'They are remembering. Io is no longer mad at you. Nor is Nika, your father, nor Shiva who also remembers. Mistakes happen.' He told her lightly, then he was silent before speaking again. Once more watching her. 'You look so much like your mother...' 'I hardly remember mother... Just music.' Zahar humed a couple of seconds of an old tune and then her eyes squinted a bit. 'I can not remember more then that. It was beautiful though, that is all I can remember. Do you know it?' He gave a light snort as the tuned played in her mind. But this voice was slightly different from her mothers. 'Our mother used to sing that.' Ah, more old things return. He had hardly ever spoke of his parents. Truefully, that was where the most fuzziness of his memory was. He remember some things, like the song, and voices, laughing, even some crying. She remembered some things, but possibly the hardest thing was remembered. 'It was my grandmothers tune as well. I wish I remembered more. You say I look something like her? I do not remember what she looked like at all.' Her eyes were a sad smile. 'I just remember that night the most. I have troubles remembering much good in my past. I guess that is why I am having so much trouble.' 'I think it would be safe, if you want to remember.' He told her calmly, watching her. 'I can remove your mask as I have removed Nika's, Io's, Shiva's and Lyra's. But it can be... over whelming.' And a real headache for him. The mask was hindering him and his recoving ability. Something he was slowly over coming... but still... 'You are the one who has been removing them? How could you do that with your mask still on? You must be very powerful.' Zahar nodded slowly. 'I would really like to remember more... I want to know the good, and not just what I have done wrong to all of us. I have been nothing but hard on myself since I started to remember.' She looked down again. 'If you think it would be all right I would like to try.' Zahar nodded and tried to look aerious, but really she was a bit frightened about what may happen. Sitting infront of her uncle she waited. 'Ok I think I am ready. Do you require me to close my eyes or anything?' 'If you wish.' He said, placing his hands over her mask. 'Memories and power will hit you. Why others faint from it. Why we are close to the ground. Ready?' He asked, one last time. Zahar nods again very slightly. 'As ready as I can get. Will you be here when I wake?' 'No, possibly not, but I wil make sure you are ok.' He told her, then closed his own eyes, focusing in on detaching the spell on the mask from her face. Slowly the strands of the spell seperated and he pulled the mask away from her face in a careful manner. Once it was off, he tossed it to the ground and slammed his fist into it, shattering the mask. Zahar wavered a bit trying to stay awake but she couldn't. She feel to the side and layed there quite still. She was alright. With that thought, Sei pushed him self off to the other side and layed on his back as the exhostion over took him. He would wake and leave this place before thoughts from others invaded.
