Wahabu listened carefully to what Aadil described her family, feeling a terrible ache particularly as she mentioned how far she would go to protect her son, even when she wasn't very close to him. He felt that he and his mother were close, very close, and it seemed like she wasn't interested in protecting him anymore. So much so that she'd done one thing that hurt him and his father very deeply.
"I- I was just walking," he answered, his voice going quiet as he continued, "Hoping to find Kubwa.. hoping to find my mother.."

"Well.. I we'll..wait you cannot find your mother?" She practically shouted in alarm at his statment, "Sweetheart, you can always stay right along side with me until we find your mother. I know, I know. You're a young man and probably want to be out on your own. But..I still would hope that you'd keep an old lady company until she's assured that you're alright..?"

Wahabu started at the very clear (and loud) concern that Aadil showed when he mentioned that he was looking for his mother. It was clear she did not expect he was exaggerating the situation as some might have expected- though she seemed to take it to mean that he was lost.
"We won't find her," he answered, shaking his head, "It's more.. wishful thinking than anything. She left, and if she doesn't want to be found then she won't be."

"That's just aweful," she frowned, "But, as I said you can stay right along side with us for as long as you wont. I'm sure Kubwa, when he returns, will be pleased to see you. I can speak to my mate, Mvumo and our other son if you would like? I know what it is like to lose a mother, she's in the great clearing at the end of the path now," she said implying that her own mother had died. She assumed that Wahabu was in a way hinting at his mother's death. Aadil had lived with her mother well into her teens inside of a cave near the pride lands, but she had died and no sooner had she died did Mvumo come and well, the rest seemed like history.

Wahabu shook his head, though now was smiling thanks to the lioness' kindly invite. As much as he might like the idea of living with a family, one that stuck together and didn't have any evil sisters, he still had his family- his father, grandmother and now some uncles and an aunt.
"I appreciate it, but my father needs me," he answered, "It's very kind of you to offer, though.."

"Thank goodness then, at least you have your father," she bobbed her head in a content fashion. He was a very kind young man, maybe her Kubwa would learn a few things from him. Of course her Kip was a good boy, a very polite boy, she was sure it would not be too long before young Kip brought a female home and asked for her and Mvumo's permission, Kubwa may do the same..but what female would want a male that snuck off so much?
She beamed brightly at him, now what was there to speak of? She had been reassured that he had a portector, who better than a father? And reassured for the most part that her pale son would return.
"Would you mind doing me a favor?"

"Yeah, I'll always have him too," he nodded in return, smiling at the least at the fact that he was not entirely without family. No one could replace a mother, but he was not alone- even if his family was all gone he still had his friends and those around the lands.
Assuming he ever found Kubwa again.
"Sure," he nodded eagerly when she asked if he could do her a favour, "I'll do what I can..." He smiled and waited for the request.

Nothing indeed could replace a mother, she smiled warmly at him.
"I would greatly appreciate you looking for Kubwa for me, tell him that it is alright to come home, no matter if he is in trouble or if he is just thinking he is in trouble," she was right about this one he was a good boy, good boys always offer to do favors.
"If it is not too much trouble," she paused, "I suppose I could have Kip look as well, he may be reluctant."

"Of course I can," he agreed quickly, smiling at Aadil and wishing his mother worried about him like that, wanted him around like that, "I've already been trying to find him, I'll just have to keep trying. If you find him first, tell him I was looking for him though- kay?"

"It's a deal then, we'll look and send him back to the other," she giggled like a teenager thinking about it. Aadil bobbed her head again in the same fashion as before. She was not a very intelligent lioness, she knew what she knew, and that was her boys and being a mother.
"I'll be going then, unless you would like me to stay?"

"Alright," he agreed with a nod, now figuring he at least doubled his chances of finding Kubwa if someone else was looking. Tripled if she got Kip to help too. When she offered to go, he shrugged and nodded.
"I think I'll take another look around now, if you want to stay here," he said decidedly, wondering if he could ever find Kubwa so conveniently after talking to his mother, "You were here first, after all." Habu smiled, and got up to get a look around to figure out where to go.
