It's the damn consumer-society we live in these days.
All we do is eat, buy stuff we don't even need, eat some more, collect more crap and then we die because we didn't take care of our bodies.
It's a sad thing. And unfortunatly Gaia is another example of how we've all become mindless consumers, spending all this time doing nothing significant, just collecting stupid pixels.
