There are thre seasons: Water, Earth, and Fire. Each of the seasons is dedicated to Aang mastering (sorta mastering) each element. And since he has already mastered air, thus there will be no air season.

I think it was previously decided that there will be ONLY three books. As to the air date, April sounds quite reasonable, though I remember in another one's post here that said they'll delay it a few months than the regular release. So let's say Avatar was regularly released in March, probably we won't see it until late April or May; though I wouldn't rule out June either. (Be it the latest of the late)

I also heard the thing about Tak in tv.com as well, but we all knew it was fake, even the person who posted it said it was some stupid post because he didn't receive any real data about it. Don't take that post to heart.
