We shouldn't have attacked them... I'm calling the senate, if he wishes or not
Meanwhile, the fighter balance started to tip back to TA side. 29 TA craft were left, against 34 of the Republic....
The insinerator was starting to fall apart though, that seemed to be the only good thing. The nose of the craft was on fire, and one of the site compartments was completely ripped open. On the other hand, the message that Reytha 3 exploded lowered the slightly more positive atmosphere again

"Sir, I cannot keep up, my systemsare back up from the ion cannon but I'm too heavily damaged to continue the fight. My shields are gone and parts of my hull too... If I leave now, the ship might be available again in months, if I don't..."

the insinerator left into hyperspace to an unknown piece of deep space for tracer-checup, almost in several parts, they got away right in time. Minutes later, the backup cruiser TA-A emerged out of hyperspace to aid the small fleet.
The republic forces only had the MC-90 and the light calamari left by now, the MC-90 was almost gone and the light cruiser seemed to be retreating. the last republic fighters managed to take out one of the Condemnations shield generators, but 90% was enough too. Also, they somehow took down almost all TA craft, these must have been good pilots. by the time the last X-Wing exploded, the TA had 9 fighters left, which returned to the Condemnation...
"take down the MC-90, then we'll go for the planet... keep your Ion shield up!"

The MC90 went off with a bang... luckely, the small cruiser managed to get out of range of the enemy ships and it seemed the enemy went for the planet, ignoring them. It was time to send out a message now, without too much trouble...

They had the planetin range, and started to fire at the most crowded area according to the scanners. As expected, a planetary shield made it impossible for them to hit the base...
"Get in the troop transports, and take a scan of the shield. Once you get the measurements of it, land the troops out of the shield, first see the wind direction. Place the troops on a side so they have to advance against the wind, fire at the area around the other side of the shield..perhaps we get something burninf and the wind will flow the fire into the direction of the main food plantages..."

The troops started the landing procedure on the east side of the shield, the 3 troop transports were escorted by the cruiser TA-B during the flight. The area around the shield edge wasn''t heavily defended, the barges sustained minimal damage during the trip. Once they came around a mile above the ground, each barge dropped the landing compartments while the TA-B fired at all armed emplacements outside the shield range from around 7 miles above ground. Once the craft were released, the 4 ships returned to the rest of the fleet, aiding the 3 cruisers in setting the forests on the west side on fire...
The ground assault has begun, thousands of troops marched towards the villages in large groups, escorted by heavy and light vehicles. They''d run into the first defense lines soon, it was time to see what the troops could truly sustain on the ground
A total of 612,000 troops had landed on the surface, all split up in groups of 10000 troopers, the remaining 2000 guarded the barges. The first wave contained 11 groups, spread in V shaped patern. They were aided by 4 heavy assault vehicles between the first 5 groups, 6 medium vehicles and 8 light ones.
In total, 9 heavy and 15 medium vehicles had decended, along with 36 light ones

The defense troops gathered near gun emplacements and in small holes, but really defense stations, they were non existant around the farms... Buildings and rivers were the places to hide, but they wouldn't last long it seemed...only the food processing centers and the hightech farms in the center were really defended. The few gun emplacements managed to do heavy damage to the first group, as did the soldiers, these opponents seemed to be worthless shots on the ground, no matter how well they did in the air. Noone here had ever seen people of these species though...
The large and medium ground vehicles were better assilants however, they shot the gun emplacements down without taking a lot of damage themselfes... It wasn't long before the first emplacements fell, butt he 1200 soldiers and 3 turret platforms managed to take out approximatly 76000 troops, 5 light vehicles and 2 medium before falling themselfes.. Soon, the TA forces were back to 120000 by backup teams...

The upcoming kilometres were one long fight trough farmhouses, rivers, long, flat plantages, forests and many more obstacles. They were ligthly defended, but the hidden opponents usually killed loads of TA soldiers before they were shot themselfes... Usually, using some heavy fire on a farmhouse did the trick to stop them though. Hours later, the troops were facing the wall of the heavily defended center were the shield generator stood...
The TA troops set up camp out of range off all guns on the wall, and had to think of a plan to batter it. In total, there were 376000 TA troopers left, along with 7 heavy assault vehicles, 8 medium assault vehicles and 15 light ones.
"Good, now, if our information is right, we can blow up the generator with our heavy assault vehicles from point blank range. The problem is, between us and point blank range there is a wall. That wall also contains the secondary shield generator, which is an additional protection for the main shield. The wall needs to be blown up by explosives, but we have to get there first... Use our artillery to blow up those wall cannons, troops, run there, climb up!"

"Sir, Incoming fire! Our cannons are going down! stationing more troops at the wall!"
The cannons on the wall managed to take out some of the ground vehicles, but quickly fell themselfes. Groups of TA troops stormed the walls, most shot, some reached it..the overwhelmed soldiers did their best, but it wasn't long before the first troopers got on top to shoot them there. Now that the main defense systems on the wall, the gun platforms on the front, were taken down, one of the heavy assault vehicles came walking towards it. It reached the wall without much problems while the republic troops on the wall desperatly fougth against the storming TA's, which were attempting to take out gun platforms further down the wall...
Troopers started loading out the explosives from the heavy assault vehicle and placed them on the wall, they were all set and would detonate within minutes. The TA troops started to withdraw from the wall, suprising the republic...which didn't know what awaited them
Meanwhile in space, the additional fleet finally emerged out of hyperspace, preparing to go for the TA ships, the distance was quite large, still
"Sir, I don't know why they are withdrawing, but I have a bad feeling... I'm calling in additional troops from other regions..and we need some good leaders, I'm requesting jedi assist"

A big bang sounded and everyone saw the wall crumble... it was done, the TA could enter the planetary food processing center... If they'd manage to take the shield generator, they would probably have the whole city soon, even tough they don't even have 5% of it in square miles then, it would open the way to a full invasion... The remaining troops were gathering in bunkers around the shield generator, they had to hold off the heavy artillery but most gun platforms on the wall were already downed, at least on this side...
On the other side of the city, fires were advancing to the rivers, where they would stop, but would have destroyed almost all forests on in the area, and several farmlands , also, the additional troops form small bases all over the planet came closer...but would they be in time?
"prepare for the worst men...if they want to conquer the planet, or destory it, we don't know, but they need to take this generator in all cases...so we must prevent that!"
The TA had 5 heavy vehicles left, 6 medium and 4 light... and around 204000 troopers

on Bord the Raptor heading for Reytha Kari looked around as the ship was heading for Reythan. Kari walked over to Zeth. Zeth I would like to go practice, would you be my sparing partner while we are heading for Reytha, I want to practice form IV. Kari asked Zeth, Kari felt better then she did before that knew she needed to train for this battle.

Zeth I would like to go practice, would you be my sparing partner while we are heading for Reytha, I want to practice form IV. Kari asked Zeth, Kari felt better then she did before that knew she needed to train for this battle. Zeth looked over at Kari and heard her request. He smiled and held his saber hilt in his hand. "If you wish.....but remember that I've come close to being advanced at this form. Haven't mastered it, but give me a few years"Zeth activated his Lightsaber and held it with one hand, holding it so it was facing the ground at an ang;e "Ready?"

Kari pulled out her saber and lifted it into a form IV pose but then stop. Kari knew she hadn't tryed this form before, it would be best not to use a real saber yet. Kari pulled out her training saber that she had kept and actived it. As the Blue beam shot out of the hilt she took up a form IV stance.
Ready when you are Kari said to Zeth.

Zeth thought it was a better Idea to use training sabers. It was dangerous for both of them if they put thier lives at risk with real Sabers. He switched to his Training saber and ignited the blue beam as well
"I'm starting to feel like A Knight now...okay, here goes"
Zeth took A Deep breath and held his Lightsaber in front of him, concentrating on his surroundings and the Force within him. He started to charge at Kari, but not at full speed

Kari waited and watched Zeth and his moments, when he started to run at her something changed. To Kari everything looked like slow motion for a moment. Kari could feel the force better then ever before. Kari focused on the force and everything became clear, as if waking up from a dream.
When Zeth got close Kari reactied, not thinking about the form anymore just doing what came natural to her. This form seemed to be apart of her. Kari met her blade to his, to Kari the duel no longer mattered, she had learn something new.
Kari smiled as the blades still met between her and Zeth.
This is going to be a fun duel, Kari thought to herself. I'm going to give it all I got.

Zeth locked his saber with hers and he smiled at her, the swords the only thing between them and a load of pain from the shock
"As I thaught.....this Form comes naturally to you. You can master this in time"
Zeth broke the lock and started his acrobatic aproach with his spins and leaps. His barrage of moves made him appear close to A Blurr to the untrained eyes, but Kari would see him clearly due to the form she wa using
