Thistle threw his head up and laughed, little bits of grass spraying in front of him, "But you are a mare, an adult! Who can you get in trouble with?" He took another bit and then pranced over to the settled mare.
He stood over her, blocking the little bit of sun that his small body could be in front of, "I guess that's true. If you scared everyone away, then you would have no friends, and that would not be as fun." Thistle chewed that idea over.
As the idea of a brother came to his mind, the colt perked up. His little tail 'wagged' a little in an un-soquili fashion. "You have a brother? What is he like?" His 'cousin' was the only male influence in his life..... and not a very good one. Thistle liked stories, and a brother was one he was not familiar with.

She nudged at him playfully, and smiled at his size. "Well, its a different kind of trouble. I mean, who wants to be the weird one anyhow." She winked to him and giggled.
"Having friends is probably one of the greatest things we could ask for of course. Do you have many friends, Thistle? I think I'll add you on my list as a new friend." She smiled, wondering how he would like that.
He seemed to have gotten very excited at the idea of a brother, so she was happy to explain. "My brother's name is Boo. That works out well, right?" She laughed, knowing how silly her parents were. "We are very similar, so I bet you would like him. He can be a bit quieter, but when he wants to he is quite tough. I am proud of my brother." She said, meaning every word of it. She was very close to him, and even in their older state, they tried hard to still see each other.
"So you fill your brother role then, just as Boo does for my sister and I. I bet you are a great brother Thistle!"

Thistle sneezed, the sweetness of the young grass having tickled his nose. "But everyone's weird... if we were all the same life would be so boring..." He wrinkled his nose in distaste at the tought. That would be a baaaad experience.
"I have a few, Ghost, and would be honored to consider you as one!" The colt wagged his tail in a canine-fashion.
Thistle waited, and listened intently as Ghost told him about her brother. He smiled toothily, happy to hear about another lone 'colt' among so many 'fillies'. The only other 'colt' in his 'herd' was Tloc, and he was always picking on him.
"I dunno, I think Boo does a better job than me, since I haven't seen my sisters in such a long while."

"Well that's true too" He was a smart boy, and she was impressed with his understanding of life so far. At least he wouldn't be as dull as many others in the Soquili land! Ghost always considered herself weird, but if Thistle didn't see it as so, that made her more delighted.
Seeing his expression from her comment, she also gleamed with delight. He was such a happy colt, and it made her love talking to him more.
"How come you haven't seen them in such a long time?" She changed her expression, feeling worried at the thought. She couldn never handle not seeing her family, so she wondered if it was the same for him.
"I have never run into your sisters, but I would love to see what the would look like." She nodded happily.
