I say the games made by Nippon Ichi. 'o' They aren't that widely known. (Disgaea, Disgaea 2, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdoms etc.)

Disgaea is REALLY freaking popular. No Disgaea.
Hey, what about Spyro? Its a really great series but no one seems to like it anymore.

I agree. But if it seems like many gamers here do not know about this series, then we might do it.
Spyro is pretty old, and it was popular for its time...so I'm not so sure. I think we should probably focus more on the current gaming era [a.i. wii, xbox, ps2, ps3, etc] rather than go retro. My reason for this is that many ppl here are more likely to have those systems than the old ones and I don't think they can nor are willing to go look for old games in stores or online...
But I may be wrong. sweatdrop
We can always have more than one review up at a time. One for current, next-gen, or retro. 3nodding

Cookies with Rabies Start off with Katamari Damacy! Although it sold many, many copies, it's often overlooked because it doesn't exactly meet as any standard game genre.
The Katamari series seems immensely popular with this guild, so even though it is not widely known in the U.S., I think it's safe to say that it is popular enough in the guild to warrant a label as common. 3nodding

Donna the Vixen Chulip would be a nice game to showcase sometime. 3nodding
It got decent reviews in mags and it's definitely got an interesting concept/ gameplay.

jaggedbubbles I think Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit is a cinematic game that often gets overlooked anywhere.

Celes You should definately review the game called Ikaruga for the GC. Great idea btw. Hopefully this will bring some more exposure to less popular games. You should let people write their own reviews in this thread too, and have some sort of "member overview" refering to each of their posts so its more of a community feel. ^^
And of course! I was planning on that but didn't get this thread up properly so I haven't mentioned that yet. But yes, I will be featuring other members' reviews and such [like a spotlight on it].

I know I said no popular games, but...This is just a quick review I did b/c I haven't had time to write a proper one. I'm sorry but I've become very busy these past week [I got into a fist fight, my thumb is sprained b/c of it, etc] so I decided to just post this first. Will do proper ones once next week [23rd of March] starts! Or anyone else can do one and I'll feature it! 3nodding
Haven't played the much of the mana series but I have played the Dawn of Mana for the Ps2 [can anyone say Japanese import? xd ], so not really in the knowing of the whole story. I hear it's 10 years before the start of the series.
It's pretty cool. The fighting is a bit like KH in that you swing about and jump and such. The characters and animation are pretty cool, very colorful as is the background, and lovely animations [though, they look a lot like they're kids rather than teens]!
I didn't finish it or get even halfway as it belonged to my cousin who asked me to help him since he got stuck [and he can't read Japanese... sweatdrop ], but from what I have played so far, I would definitely buy it. 3nodding

Espiecaly when the first one isn't out yet. Wild arms is another one, don't call that poplar as its not considering the first came out at the same time as FFVII.
