I discovered the most interesting sight just afew days ago. While I was out for my daily walk, yesm I know it was raining and I was nuts for even trying, I stumbled upon what at first seemed to be a jumbled pile of blankets. On closer inspection, however I found that it was not just a pile of cloth, but a whimpering, half frozen child.

I remeber thinking to myself, what sort of person leaves their child out in the rain? This poor little thing was cry his head off. I had little to no choice but to take him home with me.

So here he sits, on my lap, watching me write the story of his life from day one. I think I will call him Chihiro. I have never had a child before, I can only hope that I will be all that I can from him, and all the more for me. Perhaps he is the blessing I have been waiting for.

It has been two weeks since that fateful day, the day I found what now is one of the most important factors in my day to day life. I couldn't belive how much a hassle a child can be, but between feeding, cleaning and play time I have hardly any time for myself.

There is a plus to this however, a child loves you unconditionally, all you have to do is hold them and you know they love you. I know there is not greater feeling than holding Chihiro in my arms and seeing him smile up at me. Just that look is worth all the hassle I go through durring the day, and I will do it again and again, just to see that smile grow larger.

Four weeks. Four weeks and it has already been a month since Chihiro came into my life. He is doing well, watching me clean the house and other such things. He has taken a liking to one of the other children I care for, Tomoe. She was the motherly sort to start with, she has the air about her, but now Chihiro clings to her more than to me.

I'm not complaining of course. I just leave Tomoe to babysit. I think she likes having something to do around the house, she was so lonely before, spending time with Vincent, her adoptive brother. Now that she has a child to take care of, she is acting more mature, and not acting out as she use to.

As for right now, she and Chihiro are reading in her room. She is reading him some children's book, I don't recall the title. It is good, everything is good. I hope that Chihiro enjoys his time with her as much as I did with her when she was a baby.

Tomoe has taken nicely to her new job as babysitter and I guess, you could say parent to Chihiro. She adores him, and for as much as I can tell he adores her. Chirhiro is getting to see a great deal of new things. She took him to the zoo, the park, the lake. The child loves the water.

I am so proud that I have raised such a wonderful girl, and the fact that she is now caring for a child makes my heart soar. Hopefully it will kill the depression she had been in for the past few years, I can only hope.

Well I'm about a week late in posting this up, but I would like to talk about my mother's day. I know that Chihiro is far too young to understand the concept, however he did buy me a very lovely gift. (It funny how when they are young you buy yourself something from them right?) Well, anyway, he bought me a lovely necklace. It is silver with pale blue stones set in a pendant of a mother and child. I wear it every day that I can. Being a mother really is a lovely thing, at least when you are not receiving grotesque painting from your eldest son.

There isn't really much going on as of late. Life is in one of those 'blah' moments. The only thing we really have going right now is that we are packing to move. Just think, moving already for poor Chihiro. Of course this means that both myself, Pata and Aiyama will be coming as well. Not such a bad thing, at least we will all be together.

Life has been going just about the same as always. The packing is getting done, thank heaven. I do not think I have ever seen so many boxes in my life. We have little over a month left before we move, and we still have alot to do. The problem being too much to pack and not enough hands to pack it.

I cannot expect the children to help, though i have to admit that Tomoe, Vincent and Orin have been very helpful with Chihiro as of late. I only fear that The baby is going to pick up their bad habits. I don't need more than one kleptomaniac running around my home.
