Mfuto nodded eagerly at Nac's assurance. "Yup yup yup! I understands!" he declared. He knew all good things took practice. Like bird hunting, as his serval friend had taught him. He still wasn't very good at it, but he was still practicing... when Uten wasn't looking, of course. Uten didn't approve of killing. But Mfuto was getting better. Sometimes he even caught one! He had no doubt in his mind that he could someday become a flower-necklace-making expert too.
Whichever way he wanted to go? Mfuto grinned; this was new. "Okays!" he shouted, then looked around pondering. Where to go, where to go. Well... as long as it wasn't into the jungle or back to the river, he supposed it didn't really matter. And so, he closed his eyes, pointed his paw, and spun about. Soon enough, he stumbled to a stop and opened his eyes. "Thataway!" he cried. He blinked rapidly to try to clear the dizzy blur from his eyes and then stumbled on ahead. He smiled a simple smile to himself, then paused briefly to look back and say, "Thankies. I likes you too." And then he walked on.

Nac chuckled as he yawned softly. "That's good." He said with a nod, at least the bloke knew it'd take pratice.
Watching him spin he lofted a brow. This was... new, oh well as long as it works. "Okay, good thing is we won't get lost. I know the jungle itself like the back of my paw, so if we get confused I beleive I can always get us back to here." He said with a nod. Indeed he knew the jungle well, since his sisters left all he had was time to explore. Atleast when his mother wasn't being clingy.
He followed Mfuto hoping on a few lower branchs sometimes when he needed to catch up with the larger and older lion.

Nac's assurance that they wouldn't get lost was of great relief to Mfuto because, slightly disoriented after his spin, he wasn't sure he could find the way back himself. "Thass good," he told his compatriot. "'Cause yer gonna hafta find the way back. I think I's jus' gonna get us lost real good."
Mfuto trotted on ahead eagerly like a puppy, curious and wide-eyed and full of energy. He marveled at all the sights and sounds. He wondered at the crunch of leaves and brush beneath his feet. He gazed in awe upon the flowers and the shrubs and the small trees which lined the jungle border. Every few yards, he felt the need to stop and investigate something, hollering "OOH! Whassat!?" or "OOH! Lookit that!" It didn't take much to keep Mfuto amused. He was, in every possible way, like a child.
His assumption was that, if he was having this much fun, then Nac must be having loads of fun. He didn't even ask.

Nac chuckled and nodded. "That's the good thing about living in the jungle.
Watching Mfuto he giggled, explaining what things where as Mfuto asked. He was having fun explaining things to his new friend laughing he shook his head. "Mmm, I love these flowers." He said stopping to take a few and then skittered to catch up snickering. He would grab a few here and there as they moved along.

"I was losted for a while," Mfuto declared, conversationally, as he plodded along ahead of Nac, exploring. "Wull... I wasn't realleh losted, I knew where I was, but I couldn't finds mah friendses. I guess I really jus' losted them, or they losted me. I dunno." He shrugged. He didn't suppose it mattered anymore; he knew where they were now. Although Uten was so sad lately...
But Mfuto enjoyed Nac's explanations of what things were. It was a good solid education that he figured he could use when he went out into the jungle itself. As he wondered at things he quickly lost track of time, and he did not realize how late it was until he realized how hard he was trying to see. Then he noticed that the sun was quickly setting, throwing it's last light through the trees. Mfuto sat and frowned. He knew he should go back soon... but...
"...I dunno if I wants to go back," Mfuto finished his thought aloud, hanging his head, his scruffy mane obscuring his eyes.

Nac blinked looked at Mfuto. "Oh? Well shame on them for getting lost or losing you." He said with a confirming nod. Either way he figured that might would get a chuckle from the big luge.
"You know, when you guys do travel into the jungle you might find me hanging around the water fall. It's almost in the middle, I visit every few days." He said with a nod.
Blinking he frowned as well. It was getting late, "I know what you mean. If you liked we can meet here again soon!" He said nodding his head as he turned around and waited for Mfuto to follow suit. "Maybe we'll run into each other when mother feels like hunting."

At Nac's remark, Mfuto looked down on his little companion and smiled. He did not laugh, though. Instead, he shook his head and said. "No, I forgives them. They went to a lotsa troubles ta finds me afterwords." His smile widened. That's right. They did go to an awful lot of trouble to find him. They were his very best friends, and he ought to be there for them like they were there for him. He really ought to go.
Listening to Nac describe the place he frequented, Mfuto commented idly. "Hm... waterfall. You know, I noticeded that most waterfalls has water fallin' down 'em." His eyes alit as he pondered the significance of this. "HEY! Does you think thass why they calls 'em 'waterfalls'!?" What a genius he was! He wondered if he was the first to make this fascinating discovery.
He took to his feet and looked around, joining Nac by his side where he turned. The invitation delighted him, and it showed in his grin. "Yeah, I'd likes to sees you again too." Then added, "But if I brings my friendses, I dun' think yer mommy should hunts for us. Uten doesn't like killin'." He nodded. This would be good for Nac to know.

Nac nodded, "Well atleast they found you." He grinned and chuckled. Tail flickering.
"Hmm, I suppose it is. I've only seen one." He amited tail flickering softly. As he smiled at Mfuto.
"Oh? Okay then, I'll make sure we don't do any hunting when we run into you." He paused, blinking, "If Uten doesn't like killing what's he eat?" As he looked about, they were about back to the place where they had started at.

Mfuto grinned as well, a bit wistfully. He pondered the idea as he walked alongside Nac back to where they'd come from. At least they'd found him. They were, after all, his family. Not literally, of course. Not by blood. But, ever since he was a little cub without any family or friends or anywhere to go, lost in the world, Uten and Mag had been there. By this point, except for the period of his youth in which he'd been lost, he could not remember having lived without them. And now they had Alana and Heu too! They were the perfect family Mfuto had always needed. Even if they weren't perfect in every way.
Lost in this train of thought, Mfuto almost completely missed what Nac had to say. He tuned in, slightly startled, for the last couple words. "Oh! Yeah," he murmured, trying not to look as embarassed as he felt. He felt badly for not listening to his new friend. Friends were supposed to listen to each other, that's what he was always taught.
Now listening intently, Mfuto was able to answer Nac's inquiry about Uten with unfazed ease. "Oh, well he eatses whatever he finds... like old kills 'n' stuffs," Mfuto explained. "Me, I eat birds and bugs!" At this, he beamed. He may not be very good at catching birds, but it was all he knew to hunt, and he enjoyed them. He was paying so much attention to Nac and the thought of birds that he was again surprised when his paw landed in water. He looked down. They had come back to where they had started, the place where the river meets the edge of the jungle. From here, he could find his way back to the den. He looked to Nac with a bittersweet smile. "I should gets goin' home nows," Mfuto said. "Was nice ta meet you."

Nac nodded, "Oh well there's always fish in the river. You watch them long enough it's easy to catch them." He said with a nod, his tail flickered.
Looking at where they were he nodded, "Yes I suppose I should as well. Mother'll start to worry." He said in a low tone. "It was nice meeting you too!" He grinned and nodded looking for the way he wanted to travel back home or if he just wnated to perch in a tree for the night. He decided against the later.
Nodding he watched Mfuto as he departed towards his home, he figured once the lion was gone he could scamper back to his tree and get some sleep.
