Some friends and I actually put together a DND type game but we based it on the town where we live. Our characters were based on us in real life but we acquired other things during the game to help us. My character for one had a drinking contest with a pirate at the dock yard and won so the captain took me under his wing and I became Captain Melissa Von Barbosa-beard. It was all really fun actually.
I have also played Vampire the Masquerade and DND. It's too bad the guys I live with are jerks and would just stop playing about 2 or 3 months into playing the game.
