Peaceful Waters (Part I)
In Which Eau Meets Joirune For the First Time.

Skysong Keitra
Eau sighs as he walks around town, weaving in and out between the other Gaians. He's slipped out of his household barely, managing to flee this time with only a few scalding words from his housemates and barely getting mauled to death for accidentally interrupting a squabble. He wore a simple outfit, the dark blue dress shirt matching his eyes and ears and the rich black slacks making his hair shine even more. He wore specially designed boots, the shape a tad different from the other humans' design. He was a rabbit anthro, so his feet were shaped differently. Glancing about, he crosses the street, shouting and slamming the hood of a driver who nearly runs him over.

Growling at the man he reaches the other side, glaring after the speeding car as it fades from sight, he shakes his head, the charms on his ears chimming softly, catching the attention of a baby with it's mother. The baby coos' at him, eyes wide at the shiny objects in his ears and on his lip, as well as his hair and the different ears. He smiles at the baby, waving his fingers at the infant until the mother notices, glares, and rushes away with her child.

Joirune
Joirune sighed in annoyance as she glanced down at the piece of paper in her hand, in between weaving through the pedestrians on the sidewalk. On the paper was the address of the place she could supposedly find a job as a nurse , but where was this place? She looked up at the street signs, though they were little help, essentially she was new in town.

She wore almost none of her priestess adornments today, save her sun pendant which she never removed from her neck. The rest of her clothes were fairly casual, a light tanktop with an overshirt to guard her skin from the breeze and a green skirt, which ended just above her knees.

She continued to walk the street in confusion, it HAD to be around here, the last person who had tried to give her directions had told her that much.

Skysong Keitra
Eau sighs as the mother scrambles away, his ears drooping slightly. He glances up, noticing a lady looking lost, a piece of paper in her hand as she glances about. Smiling, the rabbit walks over to her, "Do you need help with anything, miss?" He asks politely, knowing that some women took his kindness the wrong way he was prepared for a snippy reply or worse, a strike somewhere painful.

Joirune
"Hu-AH!" Joirune didn't notice the rabbit male until she pretty well collided with him. Jumping back almost instantly she dropped into as low a bow as she could manage without being on her knees. "I'm sorry!"

It had been her automatic reaction, trained from being in the temple so long. "I'm sorry." She repeated, before timidly looking up to see who she had bumped into; the piece of paper with the address crunched into her hand, which was behind her back.

Skysong Keitra
Eau couldn't help but smile and chuckle at her reaction, "Easy there, miss." He perks one ear up, the charms on it tinkling softly. "And it's alright, I'm used to being bumped into and such." he chuckles again, brushing a strand of his hair from his eyes, "I noticed you looked a bit lost, so I was asking if you needed help with anything."

Joirune
"That's very kind of you." Joirune managed an awkward smile, doing her best not appear too out of place. She produced the paper from behind her back and unfolded it, showing it to him. "I'm supposed to start work there today...the only problem is...I don't know where that is..." She blushed sheepishly, and looked away from him.

Skysong Keitra
Eau smiles gently and takes the paper from her, skimming over the address, "Just being a helpful hand." The address was very familiar, and even better that he knew where it was located exactly. "I know where this place is, I have a bunch of friends who work there." He chuckles and hands the paper back. "I can take you there if you want." He nods and tilts his head a little. He had no particular direction he was heading, and a visit by his other housemates would be fun.

Joirune
"Please, if it's not too much trouble." Joirune's hands returned to behind her back and she bowed her head slightly. "I'd appreciate it." By now, he'd probably think her shy for the way she acting, even though she knew no other way to act, especially among those outside of the priestesses, who she'd never before been allowed to mingle with so freely.

Skysong Keitra
"Of course, anything to help a lady out." The rabbit man chuckles and turns to head off towards the direction of the Clinic, glancing behind him, "This way." He calls out, keeping a steady pace. Now that his back was turned to her, she could see the thick white fluff that stuck out from under his shirt, right along the top of his pants.

Joirune
"Oh..." She followed close enough behind him to nearly keep pace, but not so close as to bump into him again. The Sun Prietess did notice his tail, but knew better than to say anything, she had been told just to take things as she saw them. The young man that was helping her was some sort of rabbit person, a bit strange, but still interesting.

Skysong Keitra
Eau kept his easy pace, smiling and waving at people and other creatures as they passed by the two. A few of them called out in French to the rabbit, laughing as they did. The rabbit just chuckles and shakes his head, replying back in a perfect accent. Up ahead a building stood off on it's own, the black wording on the side played out the clinic's name. "Theres' the clinic." he points at the building, glancing behind at the female, "I'll walk up there with you as well; I'm sure my buddies in there will wish to say hello to me."

Joirune
Joirune recognized the language and understood a few words, but foreign studies had never been her best subjects. She nodded. "Thanks for your help." She read the name and quirked an eyebrow, no one had told her anything about the place, other than it was a clinic and that they had been looking for help recently.

Skysong Keitra
"You are very welcome." Eau walks up to the door and opens it, holding it open for her, "Ladies first." He smiles softly at her, ears perked up, the charm on the left tinkling softly.

Joirune
Joirune stepped through the door, having no clue what to expect. She looked around before taking a few more steps in and looking back at the Rabbit questioningly.

Skysong Keitra
He walks in after her, letting the door shut behind them both. He smiles and walks up to the desk where a human looking male sat at the desk, his gaze directed curiously at the rabbit. "Hey, Seakin."

"Hey, Eau. I didn't know you had a mate." The male had shaggy black hair, a pocky hanging out of the corner of his mouth. He smirks playfully at the rabbit.

"I don't. She got lost while trying to find this place and I just lent a hand and decided to drop in for a few." Eau leans on the desk, glancing back at the lady. "This is Seakin, he'll help you with whatever you need." He taps the desk and waves a hand at the female, walking around it and disappearing into the doorway behind it.

Joirune
At the word 'mate' her expression changed to something between shocked and embaressed. "Ss-sorry no..." She shook her head, her cheeks turning pink and she pulled the sun pendant out from underneath her tanktop, not knowing if he would recognize it or not.

"My name is Joirune, Kara Aditi, I'm supposed to report here to start work today?" She gave her priestess name first and her birth name second as she was taught.

Skysong Keitra
Seakin recognizes the name and pendant at the same time, his eyes lighting up and a grin on his face, "Ah, so you're the Lady Joirune." He stands up and holds a hand out to her to shake, the pocky bobbing between his lips skillfully, "Glad Eau found you then." He chuckles softly. If one looked closer to his face, they could see he wasn't as young as he seemed. Soft creases were at the corners of his eyes as well as his lips, giving him a slightly aged look.

Joirune
She nodded quickly, took his his hand and shook it firmly. Her hand might seem a little rough for priestesses, but she had chosen the healer's path. Tending herbs and making salves and potions tended to be rough on the hands. "Yes, I am."

Skysong Keitra
Seakin chuckles and pulls back, noting the slight roughness of her hands. He'd studied enough about herbalists as a child to know that the rougher the hands, the better the herbalist. "Well, as soon as Julian finishes up with his client he'll get right to you." He motions towards the couches scattered about on the sides of the main hallway. "Go ahead and have a seat, he'll be out in a moment."

Eau walks up to a dozing feline on one of the couches in the back, a manila folder on his lap. "Sleeping on the job are we?" He grins and taps the males foot.

Izzi squeeks and snaps his eyes open, "Eau? What are you doing here? And no, I wasn't sleeping.......just resting my eyes." A furious blush spread across his cheeks, his hair messed up slightly.

Joirune
"Alright." Joirune walked over to a couch and sat down, wondering where the Rabbit had gone off to.

Skysong Keitra
A male with long hair, it's color a lighter silver than Eaus' hair, walks out from one of the side hallways, talking softly to a young girl, a hand on her shoulder. Small wings were curled up on the side of his head, the white of them matching his labcoat and the rich green of his skin matching the olive shirt and tan pants. The girl looked no older than at least High School, her belly showing a nice curve underneath her sweater if one looked closely. The girl smiles and nods, saying thank you to the oddly colored male and leaves the clinic.

Seakin waves to the girl and turns to the longer haired being, "Julian, Lady Joirune is here." He nods over at the priestess, the other males' eyes brightening up instantly.

Eau chuckles and gives the cat a hug, "Good to see you too, old friend. How've you been?" He sits down beside the other and chats with him for a bit, trying to distract himself with from the strange feeling of immense interest with the lady he'd helped out.

Joirune
Joirune in the meantime had been preoccupied with looking around again. Her attention only returning to the present when Seakin spoke. She had been sitting with her hands folded in her lap and she sprang to her feet, bowing politely.

Skysong Keitra
Julian walks over to Joirune, returing the bow perfectly, "So glad you could make it Lady Joirune, I was afraid you wouldn't make it." The head doctors' voice was crisp and still young, his eyes dancing joyously; even his head-wings showed a sign of joy, the feathers ruffling slightly.

Joirune
"I almost didn't. I got lost a few times on my way here. I ran into Eau luckily and he brought me here." Joirune smiled cautiously, this man seemed nice enough.

Skysong Keitra
"Well, I'll have to thank him for finding you then." He chuckles softly, stepping to the side and swooping his hand outwards to the hallway he'd just come from, "Well, lets go talk in my office so I can clear up a few questions if you have any, fix up your schedule, set your paydays, and get you started." He smiles happily.

Joirune
"Alright." Joirune's hands went behind her back again and she waited for him to go first, it seemed only logical, because he was the one with the directions.

Skysong Keitra
Julian smiles and starts walking, his hair swishing at his waistline as he walks.

Eau finishes chatting with Izzi and walks into one of the side rooms where Licen worked on filing paperwork. He clears his throat at the doorway, winking at the two younger males who sat at the table, sorting the paperwork.

Joirune
Joirune followed Jullian down the hall, carefully to keep her distance again like she had with Eau. She looked around curiously as they walked down the hall.

Joirune
Joirune followed Jullian down the hall, carefully to keep her distance again like she had with Eau. She looked around curiously as they walked down the hall.

Skysong Keitra
The doctor stops by an open door, smiling softly at Joirune, "Here we are. Make yourself comfortable." He walks over to a counter to one side of the room, pouring himself a glass of water, "Want anything to drink?"

Joirune
"No thank you." Joirune followed him into the room, stopping just inside the door and letting her gaze follow him the rest of the way. She rocked back onto her heels, quite unsure of herself.

Skysong Keitra
Julian glances back at her after taking a sip, "You can come in, Lady Joirune.....theres' a seat in front of my desk you can take while we talk about your position here at S.M.C."

Eau steps out from the back room, glancing about curiously.

"She's talking with Julian, if your wondering about Lady Joirune." Seakin chuckles, turning his head to watch the rabbit.

"I kinda figured. Well, I'm going across the street to that coffee shop, later." Eau stuffs his hands into his pockets and walks out, crossing the street this time without getting run over.

Seakin smirks and watches the younger adult as he leaves the shop, nibbling on another pocky, "I think someones got a cru-ush." he chuckles and shakes his head, going back to working on some computer paperwork.

Joirune
"S-sorry..." Joirune smiled sheepishly, walked to the chair and sat down. "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you do here...I know it's a clinic...but they didn't tell me anything specific..." She folded her hands in her lap and looked at Julian again.

Skysong Keitra
"Well, as you could tell by the name outside; we go by Soul Maternity Clinic. My uncle and a few of his special friends got together and designed the SMC to help expecting parents and want-to-be parents along with a family. Though he thought of a nifty little quirk." He smiles and walks over, leaning on the desk and taking another drink of his water, "Licenziare, Licen for short, is our Soul Master....he helps place a lost soul from the other realm into a parents stomach...giving new life as well as lengthening and slightly altering a childs' appearance and life expectancy." He chuckles, "For instance Licens' Twins, they were his first children from his first mate - but he lost the little ones. Another soul harvester, so we call them here, managed to find the little ones' souls and bring them back here, giving them another life." He nods, thinking for a moment. "We also add a little something extra to make the child more unique. The Twins for instance are mixed with a touch of Dream Faerie powder."

Eau orders a coffee and some bagels, taking a seat outside in the sun to enjoy a magazine.

Joirune
Joirune stared at Julian, not sure of what she was hearing. In her eyes he'd she suprise, but it wouldn't register anywhere else on her features, though her voice betrayed her somewhat. "Ah....and what would you need me to do?"

Skysong Keitra
"Some of the incoming parents are unsure about the magic we use, and we only have a few other nurses that will take on certain cases." He smiles, plus some of the children are starting to show up and we may need a Priestesses medicine to help with injuries and interesting occurrences.

Joirune
Joirune nodded, relaxing a little in her chair. Healing, what she had been trainned to do. "Anything else I should know?"

Skysong Keitra
"Not really...just be prepared for strange looking children." He reaches for one of the pictures on his desk and hands it to her, "The two smaller boys are the Twins, Richard and Gregory and the redhead is Thomas. They're three of the boys from here." The three kids in the picture didn't look too happy, especially since it included a massive paint fight that had just finished.

Joirune
"All children are adorable." Joirune smiled, in most of her time in the Healer's House she had spent it dealing with children, particularly ones other people didn't seem to want to deal with, so it couldn't be too bad of a stretch for her here.

Skysong Keitra
"They sure are, but Richard, the gold skinned boy, is one little hellion that needs a good attitude change." He chuckles and puts the picture back in it's place. "Well, if you don't have any more questions we can finish up the rest of your paperwork and then you're free to do what you wish until you start." He smiles.

Joirune
"Alright then." Joirune nodded, wondering what he would need her to fill out.

Skysong Keitra
Julian reaches behind his desk, opens a drawer and pulls out some paperwork, setting his glass down and pulling a pen out. "Alright, fill out your desired scheduling." Hands her the pen and the papers.

Joirune
Joirune filled in a few hours each business day, it's not like she had anything else to do. "This alright?" She held out the paperwork for him to see.

Skysong Keitra
Julian skims it over and nods, "Perfect. I'll fill in your paycheck every month depending on the hours you put in. Handling emergencies with the children and or adults is an extra hundred to your pay, just to tell you this." He nods and walks over to a filing cabinet and slips it in the front. "Now, I'll show you to your office. You can do anything you want with it, just so long as you don't paint the walls." He smiles and walks to the doorway.

Joirune
Joirune got up from the chair to follow Julian to her office.

Skysong Keitra
Julian opens the door and hands her the key. The room was bare of any decor and had all the furniture that Julians' office was furnished with.

Eau sighs and glances at the clinic, ears perking up.

Joirune
Joirune looked inside and smiled. "Thanks, Julian." She already had a few ideas of how to decorate. Her right hand reached up to touch her pendant and she glanced back, toward the direction the front door to the clinic would be.

Skysong Keitra
Julian smiles, "You're very welcome, Lady Joirune." He bows to her, head wings shuffling lightly, "And welcome to our Family here at SMC." He turns and heads back to his office, which was a few doors away, "Oh, and you can leave if you wish." He smiles and waves, disappearing into the office.

Joirune
Joirune nodded, "Thank you again." She locked her office up, added the key to her pendant chain (for the time being, so she wouldn't loose it) and headed for the clinic's front door, and outside.

Skysong Keitra
Seakin looks up to see Joirune heading out, "Welcome to the Family, Lady Joirune." He grins and waves at her, "Eaus' across the street." He grins more and goes back to his work.

Eau throws out his bagel remains and sips his coffee, flipping through the magazine some more.

Joirune
Joirune heard Seakin's words as she walked out the door and carefully walked across the street. She spotted Eau at table and walked over. "Hello again."

Skysong Keitra
Eau blinks and looks up, grinning as he sees who it was, "Hello again." He sets his magazine aside and glances at the other seat, "Care to join me?" He asks politely, making a motion to pull a chair out for her.

Joirune
"Sure." Joirune sat down when he pulled the chair out for her, even though she wasn't accustomed to such manners. Her cheeks were a little pink and she kept glancing away from him.

Skysong Keitra
Eau sits back down and smiles softly, "So, I take it you're apart of the SMC Family now?"

Joirune
Joirune nodded and folded her hands in her lap. "I am."

Skysong Keitra
"Good." He fell silent for a few moments, sipping on his coffee. Finally, Eau clears his throat, "So...want anything to drink or eat?" He suddenly felt really odd sitting there with her....but he was lost as to why.

Joirune
"No thank you, Eau, I'm alright." She smiled a little. The whole situtation didn't seem so awkward to her, expect maybe that she was speaking a little more than usual.

Skysong Keitra
"You sure? 'Cuz it wouldn't bother me to get you something." He nods and takes another sip of his coffee, hissing as it burns his lips a little, "Owch." he mutters and licks his lip, the piercing there flashing slightly.

Joirune
"I'm sure." Joirune leaned forward in her chair, reaching out instinctively toward him when he burned himself. "Are you...alright?" Her hand stopped short of touching his face and shook ever so slightly.

Skysong Keitra
Eau blinks and blushes, looking at her curiously, "I'm.....fine. Thank you." He smiles softly, eyes dancing.

Joirune
Joirune pulled her hand back suddenly and leaned back in her chair, retreating into a defese posture, trying hard not to blush from embaressment.

Peaceful Waters (Part II)
In Which Eau Meets Joirune For the First Time.

Skysong Keitra
Eau chuckles softly and stands up from his chair, "At least let me buy you something sweet to snack on." He smiles softly at her, the spot on his lip where he burned it tinted red.

Joirune
"Okay...." Joirune agreed reluctantly and glanced away from him. What was wrong all of a sudden? She sighed softly, but kept her defensive posture, the Rabbit made her nervous for some reason and she didn't like it.

Skysong Keitra
He nods and disappears inside the coffee shop. He glances through the offered sweets and finally picks a freshly made Funnel Cake. He smiles and pays for the food then goes back outside, setting the plate in front of her, "Here you go."

Joirune
Joirune started to relax once the Rabbit was out of sight. However, when he returned with the funnel cake she quirked an eyebrow then looked at Eau questioningly. "Would it seem weird, for me to ask what exactly that is?"

Skysong Keitra
Eau sits down and stares at her for a moment, "It's called Funnel Cake. Best eaten at Carnivals and big events with lots of people, but it's good either way. Try it, you'll like it." He chuckles and licks some of the strayed powdered sugar off his fingers, eyes dancing.

Joirune
Joirune figured at the very least she'd be polite and try it, even if she turned out not to like it. She picked up the fork, used it to pull off a piece and tried it. "Mmm..." She smiled a little, to reassure Eau. It was quite good, though she wasn't used to eating something quite that sweet.

Skysong Keitra
He chuckles softly, watching her eat as he carefully took another sip of his coffee. It was a little cooler now, thankfully. "So, you're a Priestess?" Eau was curious as to what that really was. He had an idea, but he wanted to make sure.

Joirune
"Mhm." Joirune nodded and took another bite of the cake before setting the fork down for a moment. "Priestess of Apollus, Joirune, Kara Aditi of the Healing House." She smiled a little wider and more confidently than she had before.

Skysong Keitra
Eau leans forward, elbows on the table and his fingers interlocked between one another, "What exactly do you do as a Priestess of Apollus, if you don't mind me asking."

Joirune
"It depends on the path you choose to take. As one of the Healing House, I'm trainned as an herbalist, in healing magic and as a nurse of sorts I suppose." Joirune folded her hands in her lap and watched Eau as she spoke, and wondered absently, what he thought about her.

Skysong Keitra
"Huh. Interesting. I know some people that you would love to talk to, they're great guys." He chuckles softly, ears perking up slightly as he tilts his head a little.

Joirune
"Really? And what do they do exactly?" Joirune shifted in the chair, resettling herself to get a little more comfortable.

Skysong Keitra
"Well, lets' see." He moves one hand to the side of his face, flicking a finger up, "There's Jamison, a Master Magician who enjoys' meeting Norms' with a strong point n herbals." Two fingers this time, "Generosity and Magin, two beings made from an element and their Masters' power." He thinks for a moment, eyes looking thoughtful, "And then Izzi and Licenziare, they work at the SMC so you'll see them sooner or later." He grins, and lowers his hand back to it's previous position, resting his chin on his fingers and watching her.

Joirune
"Sounds interesting." Joiruned rested an elbow on the arm of her chair and her cheek in that hand.

Skysong Keitra
"Sure is, especially since Magin has a kid, Izzi and Licen are father and son, and Licen has twins." He chuckles and shakes his head, leaning back again to take another sip of his coffee, "So, what do you do in your free time these days?"

Joirune
"Free time? There is no such thing for me really." Joirune smiled shyly, it was the truth. In her book a priestess' work is never done.

Skysong Keitra
"Really now? You mean you have no time to relax and enjoy the life around you?" He raises an eyebrow, an idea forming in the back of his head.

Joirune
"In the temple, there is not much of it...so you tend to forget it's there." Most of the time would be spent reading, meditating or something similar.

Skysong Keitra
"Well, that makes my meeting you a little better then." He chuckles and grins happily, "If you don't mind, I'd love to take you out for some real fun. Being here in the city of Gaia, you have many choices of entertainment."

Joirune
"Ah well....I suppose I could." Joirune chewed on her lower lip lightly, one of her elders had advised to learn more about the city so she would do better being outside of the temple anyway. At least, that was her rational for making it okay to agree to such a thing.

Skysong Keitra
"If you don't want to, that's all right. Especially since we really know nothing about one another." He nods, hair falling in his face. Mentally he prayed she'd keep her decision, wanting to spend more time with her.

Joirune
"I don't know anyone in this town really and it would be good to have a friend at least." Joirune smiled, that was her way of saying that she definately would go with him.

Skysong Keitra
"Well, then it's settled." He grins even happier than he had yet to, his eyes dancing joyously. "You got some time tonight?" He sure didn't....he never really did. He didn't really work at a job office, but he employed himself with hosting a few different websites.....so he knew a few nifty tricks for computers.

Joirune
"I have nothing else to do for the rest of this day, except perhaps to straighten out my living quar-I mean...apartment." Joirune blushed sheepishly.

Skysong Keitra
"Well, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to take you somewhere tonight." He chuckles softly at her blush, "Anywhere you'd like to go in particular?"

Joirune
"Sure..." She shook her head, "Though, I can't think of anywhere I'd like to go." She had heard of things in this town worth seeing, but for her finding them would be a completely different story.

Skysong Keitra
"Have you ever skated before?" He asks curiously. He'd done so many times before and was pretty good himself...plus if she didn't know how to skate, it'd be fun to teach her and help her up when she fell.

Joirune
"Skating? No, I haven't." A completely alien activity to her, she only recalled hearing about it, from some of the children that would come into the clinic needing attention from small injuries they'd caused themselves while performing silly tricks or some stunt.

Skysong Keitra
"Well, then how's about skating? It'll be fun, especially since tonight there won't be too many people on the rink." He nods, grinning still.

Joirune
"Sure." She smiled awkwardly. What would her elders think if they saw her?

Skysong Keitra
"It'll be fun, trust me." He reassures her, seeing the awkward look on her face, "If you fall, I'll be right there to help you up, okay?"

Joirune
Something told her she should've brought at least part of her Healer's Kit with her. "Okay." She relaxed a little, though her little voice of reason kept trying to tell her she shouldn't be this friendly.

Skysong Keitra
He glances at his watch and thinks for a moment, "Well, the rink doesn't open for another hour or so...and it's not that far away." He tips his head down the street farther from the Clinic.

Skysong Keitra
Eau jumps out of his chair and scurries around to the other side, reaching out to grab her wrist and pull her up. Thing is, he pulled will too much strength and he didn't realize that until the very last second, his eyes going wider than they were at the sight of her chair tipping backwards to the ground.

Joirune
"AHH!" Joirune expected to hit the ground, her eyes squeezed shut tight. She felt a hand grab her wrist and pull her back up, though a little too quickly.

She ended up against Eau when she heard the chair clatter to the ground. Her cheeks turned red and she jerked back suddenly, her eyes wide and her heart racing, from fear she supposed. The priestess cursed herself for being clumsy.

Skysong Keitra
Eau took a step back as she came in contact with his chest, making him wince slightly, "Sorry, I didn't mean to pull you so hard." He mutters himself for that, swearing under his breath in french, "Are you okay though, Lady Joirune?" He asks, eyes scanning her for any other injuries besides her sore wrist, his eyes showing actual worry. The people around them glanced over, wondering what was going on and Eau ignored them completely, only paying attention to the female he'd just saved from getting hurt seriously.

Joirune
"I'm alright...." Joirune spoke after taking a moment to calm herself down and move a bit to check for injuries. She would seem drawn in, distant, to his eyes, because she was unsure of what to say or do.

Skysong Keitra
"Are you sure? I can get some ice for your wrist if you need some." He nods, feeling guilty for hurting her and making her feel uncomfortable.

Joirune
"No, I'm alright." Joirune blushed and ignored her sore wrist, the worst it would do was bruise anyway and she could remedy that later. She reached down and picked the chair up, trying to pretend as if nothing happened.

Skysong Keitra
Even though she'd said she was alright, Eau still felt ashamed of what he'd done. He nods and sits down, letting out a sigh as he did. He picks up his coffee and drinks the rest of it, setting the empty cup down. Sure, it was still a bit hot and his lip was throbbing now, but at least he felt a little better about the situation. Well, maybe.

Joirune
"I'm just clumsy sometimes." Joirune murmured as she sat down in the chair again. "Nothing to worry about." The priestess resettled herself, resting her hands in her lap. She glanced over at the Rabbit occassionally, to make sure he was alright.

Skysong Keitra
"Alright." he glances at his watch, licking his lips a little nervously, "Well, we can start heading over to the rink if you want. That is if you still wish to go." He nods and stands up, tossing the empty cup into the trashcan nearby the table, returning to stand beside the table, hands on his hips.

Joirune
"We can...if you want..." Joirune got up from the chair when Eau made it back to the table. She smiled.

Skysong Keitra
He smiles softly, the tips of it reaching his eyes a little, "Alright, to the skating rink then." he turns to the side and offers her his arm.

Joirune
Joirune looped her arm around his and waited for him to lead the way.

Skysong Keitra
Eau smiles softly at her and starts walking, keeping his arm holding hers. He really was a gentleman....even to strangers and people he'd just met.

Joirune
"So...Eau...." Joirune clicked her tongue against her teeth as she tried to think of a question. "Oh...I don't know." She smiled and laughed childishly, to cover up her slight nervousness.

Another Day & A Puppy (Part I)
Joirune finds Lucky & and Eau takes the priestess on a 'date'.

Joirune
Joirune sat at her desk, filling out paperwork, today had been quite slow for the most part. A little whimper came from just behind the desk, the priestess looked down at the little puppy the lay in the basket. "Hungry again little one?" Picking up the small bottle, that she got gotten from storage with Julian's permission, she leaned down to feed the newborn dog.

The priestess had found him in an alley just beside the clinic, all alone in a box marked 'Free Puppies' in marker with a messy hand. The pups were young, this one didn't even have it's eyes open yet. It made her sad that people treated animals this way. So she had taken it upon herself to take the newborn pup, nurse and raise it.

She hadn't realised what time it was, and that Eau was supposed to take her out again this late afternoon.

Skysong Keitra
Eau walks into the clinic, wearing loose black jeans and a dark purple dress shirt. He waves at Seakin and turns down the hallway that led to Joirunes' office. He leans in the doorway, watching her feed a little puppy. The anthro couldn't help but smile as he watched her tenderly hold it while it suckled away at the bottle. After a few moments, he carefully clears his throat, hoping to not scare her as much.

Joirune
"Hm...?" Joirune jumped a little when she saw someone in the door. "Oh, Eau, is it that late already?" She smiled shyly, then settled the puppy back on the blankets in the basket. "I haven't been watching the clock." She lifted the little basket onto her desk.

"I found him in the alley, just by here...in a box all alone." She pet the little puppy carefully and it make a little noise before shifting and half curling back up. "His eyes aren't even open..."

Skysong Keitra
"Just slightly." He walks into the office, looking into the basket with a smile, "Poor little guy." He reaches into the basket, running a finger carefully over the top of it's head, "What'd you name it?"

Joirune
"I didn't yet, I was thinking of calling him 'Lucky'." She looked up at Eau, "But, I don't know if that's a good name for a dog."

Eau_dEte
"Dogs are named all sorts of things." He smiles and looks up at her, "Lucky would be exceptionally perfect for him since you found him." Eau grins, one ear perked up.

Joirune
"Alright then..." Joirune looked down at the puppy. "Your name is Lucky, little one. I promise to take good care of you." She smiled brightly, before looking up at the Rabbit again. "So, what did you have in mind for tonight?"

Eau_dEte
"I was thinking a movie maybe. Is that ok with you?" He returns her bright smile, his purple eyes dancing with glee.

Joirune
"Mm...never seen a movie." Despite that fact, she still seemed interested. "What am I going to do about the puppy though, I can't leave him alone."

Eau_dEte
"I kinda figured you hadn't." He chuckles and glances down at Lucky again, "I'm sure he'll be fine at my place. My dog Benny is a sweetheart." He looks back up, silver hair falling in his face.

Joirune
"Okay..." Joirune smiled. "Whenever your ready I suppose."

Eau_dEte
"The movies run all day and night, so if we miss the ones coming up, it's ok." He nods and carefully picks up the basket, smiling at the puppy inside of it. Oh yeah, Benny was going to love this pup. "Alright, lets' head over to my place and we'll let Benny babysit." He chuckles and holds his other arm out for her.

Joirune
"Mm...you go ahead, I have to lock up." Joirune pulled the key from her pocket. It was now attached to a braided leatherstrip strap so she wouldn't loose track of it.

Eau_dEte
"Ok." He lowers his arm and heads out the door, waving at Seakin as he heads for his car, he couldn't help but glance at the puppy snoozing away in it's basket.

Joirune
Joirune locked up her office and started on her way out. Her mind wandering, partly wondering what the whole 'movie' thing was about and partly wondering about why Eau was being so nice to her. She smiled and waved to Seakin as she passed him on her way out.

Eau_dEte
Eau leaned against the passenger door of his car, which he'd pulled up in front of the clinic so Joirune wouldn't have to walk too far. He grins when she exits the clinic, pushing off the car and opening the door for her.

Joirune
"Thank you." Joirune says shyly and gets in the car.

Eau_dEte
"You are very welcome." He shuts the door after making sure she wouldn't get hit, then walks around to his side and gets in, "Luckys' in the back. You can pull him up into your lap if you want." He pulls out of the parking lot and heads to the theater.

Joirune
Joirune reached back and pulled the basket from the back seat and set in her lap. She pet the little sleeping pup, keeping her eyes on it, as she was nervous about being in a car.

Eau_dEte
Eau noticed her nervousness and made sure to drive extra carefully. He felt slightly uncomfortable after a bit with the silence and reaches over to turn the radio on, flipping a switch to play the cd he had inside it. Soft music flows from the stereos around the inside, the words spoken in perfect French. The females voice was very captivating and soothing at the same time.

Joirune
Joirune looked up after a few moments, noticing the music. She glanced over at Eau, since he was awfully quiet, wondering if something might be wrong. "Penny for your thoughts?"

Eau_dEte
"Hm?" Eau blinks and glances at her from the corner of his eye, turning it back to the road a moment later, "It wouldn't be polite to worry you with it."

Joirune
Joirune sighed softly. "You sure?"

Eau_dEte
A single nod was all that came from Eau and he changes streets, the song ending and another playing. The same voice came out, though differently this time. After a few more moments he sighs, "I really don't want to be rude, but it's family issues back in France."

Joirune
"It's not rude, you can talk to me about whatever you need to. I won't breathe a word of it to anyone." Joirune had spent her time as a counselor in the temple as well, when it was needed.

Eau_dEte
Eau glances at her, this time with both eyes, before looking back at the road again. "My Mother has fallen ill and my Father is locked up once again, same as my twin Brother." he sighs, feeling slightly better about himself now, "I come from a wealthy family, my blood runs as pure as possible in France. Since I am as healthy as my family comes, they want me back at the Household to take my Fathers' place as Head Master."

Joirune
"So, your leaving soon then?" Joirune asked, a hint of sadness in her voice. She looked down at Lucky in the basket again. So her only real friend in this outside world was leaving already? She bit the inside of her lip to keep from sighing and her expression from betraying her anymore than her voice had.

Eau_dEte
"I haven't decided yet. There are some things' that I have here that I won't have in France that are making my decision a bit harder." He pulls into a parking lot and finds a spot.

Joirune
Joirune wondered what he meant, but knew better than to ask. He would volunteer the information when he felt like it. She glanced over at him when the car stopped, her features having returned to their usual serene state.

Eau_dEte
Eau sighs and glances over at her, smiling softly, "Wanna come up for a moment?" He pulls the keys out of the car, turning it off and opening his door, leaning back down to look at her again.

Joirune
"Sure, I guess." Joirune reached out and opened her own door (she had watched how Eau had done it) and carefully climbed out, holding the basket and catiously shifting it to one arm when she went to close the car door again.

Eau_dEte
The anthro smiles and walks around to her, holding his arm out for her and the other for the basket so she wouldn't have to carry it, "Just to warn you....you may hear some fighting and meet some very interesting people." He glances up at the massive house, the parking lot filled with a variety of different vehicles.

Joirune
Joirune smiled nervously, handing him the basket before taking his arm. What was she getting herself into?

Eau_dEte
He cradles the basket carefully and walks with her to the door, moving his arm away for a moment to open the door. It was pretty much always open....nobody dared to ever step foot into the house while numerous crazies and vampires lived in it. Eau smiles and holds his arm back out, distant shouts coming from inside, "Don't worry, I won't let any of them hurt you."

Joirune
That was certainly comforting. The priestess was starting to think she should've stayed in the car. All the Rabbit would here from her is a little nervous giggle when she took his arm again.

Eau_dEte
Eau leads her down the hallway, past a room where two children were arguing over a remote. He ignores them and turns down the right, where a long hallway greeted them. He walks past a good 10 doors or so when he finally stops. The sounds of the house seemed to have been swallowed up by the space between them, "Much quieter over here isn't it?" He smiles and chuckles, unlocking his door with another key.

Joirune
"Much quieter..." Joirune had been constantly looking around as they walked and Eau would've noticed her grip on his arm tightening a bit, as she was nervous. She smiled a little, starting to relax, now that it was a bit quieter again. Her hands were clasped in front of her, and she looked perfectly innocent, like a little girl.

Eau_dEte
Eau chuckles and opens the door, "Back Benny!" He reaches down quickly to grab a dog by the collar, "Easy boy, shes' not gonna be here long." He chuckles as Benny eagerly tries to sniff Joirune. The rabbit looks up and smiles sheepishly, "He gets overly excited when new people come over. Come on Benny, I got a little friend for you to watch while I'm gone." He walks into the room, dragging the doberman with him and balancing the basket carefully, "Go ahead and have a seat where you want. I'm gonna put the dogs into my bedroom." He smiles and walks off to the side where another door was open, a glimpse of a made bed and an organized dresser showed her that he was a tidy person. He disappears into the room, closing it behind him for a bit.

Joirune
"Oh..he's adorable." Joirune smiled at the older dog, then went to look for a place to sit down. Out of curiosity though, she peaked around the corner where the Rabbit had disapeared, catching a glimpse of his room. Very neat and tidy. She settled herself on a chair and waited for him to come back after that, lest she be caught snooping in places she shouldn't.

Eau_dEte
Eau returns a moment later, the puppy inside the room with Benny now. "Benny took an immediate liking to Lucky." He chuckles and walks over to a little fridge, opening it and peering inside. He pulls out a water bottle and glances at Joirune, "Want anything to drink?" He asks curiously, his ears perking up.

Joirune
"That's great." Joirune smiled. "No thank you, I'm alright." The priestess crossed her ankles and rested her hands in her lap.

Eau_dEte
"You sure? I normally don't get snacks at theaters, too long of a line and too expensive, so I snack here before going over." He grins and pops the cap open, taking a swig.

Joirune
"I had lunch late today, so, yes I'm sure." She nodded and shifted in the chair a little.

It was true, she had to eat lunch late, between the emergency with a little child that was brought in from the park not far off with a little injury and having to tend to Lucky. In her spare moments during the day, she recalled wondering about Eau, where he was and what he was up to.

She blushed faintly.

Eau_dEte
Eau shrugs and closes the door shut with a foot, leaning against the wall closer to Joirune as he took another sip of his water, "Alright. So, what type of movie would you like to see? Theres' horror, fantasy, comedy, there's even some young adult movies I wouldn't mind seeing myself."

Joirune
"Uhm..." Joirune looked confused, considering she only knew what a few of those meant. "You pick?"

Another Day & A Puppy (Part II)
Joirune finds Lucky & and Eau takes the priestess on a 'date'.

Eau_dEte
"Well, here." He walks over to a desk by the couch were she sat and wiggles the mouse, bringing the screen to life. He brings up another screen with a list of movies at the nearby theater.

Joirune
Joirune got up and walked over beside him, to see what he was doing. She glanced at the screen. "Hm..." She glanced sideways at Eau, and forced the blush from her cheeks, hoping he hadn't noticed it.

Eau_dEte
Eau scrolls slowly, reading some of the reviews on the movies, "Well, the only movie that looks relatively okay is a horror movie. All the others are slightly......disturbing ones. No 'kid' movies are out right now either." He turns his face to her, one ear perked up, "You wanna do something else or still go see a movie?"

Joirune
"A movie is fine." Joirune had little clue what she was in for.

Eau_dEte
He raises an eyebrow curiously, then shrugs, "Alright. The next movie plays in about an hour, giving us time to get there and find a good seat." The bunny grins and logs off his computer, standing up beside her. "Benny and Lucky will be fine so long as they stay in my room." A knock sounds on his door, catching his attention. "Hang on a second." He walks around her and opens the door, peering at the little boy standing there, tears rolling down his face. "Seres? Whats' wrong buddy?" He leans down, crouching in front of the boy.

The boy had dark blue hair, grey ears, and a flame colored tail. He sniffles and clings to Eau, his ears drooping. "My computer died on me again."

Joirune
Joirune turned to see who was at the door, even though it was really none of her business. After a moment though, she simply decided it was best if she just stay out of the way. So she went and sat back down on the couch.

Eau_dEte
Eau chuckles and scoops the boy up, holding him on his hip as he walked back to stand near Joirune, "I'll fix it when I get back ok? I'm going to be taking Lady Joirune out for a movie, alright?" He smiles, an even softer side showing around the young boy.

"O-tay." Seres glances at Joirune and smiles, wiping away at his tears, "Hi Lady Joirune. Are you dating Mister Eau?" His tail flicks about innocently, his blue eyes watching her.

Joirune
Joirune waved at the small boy and blushed. That word 'dating' again. She'd found out what it meant finally. "No, I'm not." She looked away from the Rabbit and the child in his arms. "We're just friends."

Eau_dEte
Eau chuckles weakly and sets Seres on the ground, a blush on his cheeks as well, "I think it's time you go nag David for a few." He gently pushes the boy out of the room, turning to glance at Joirune, "Lets head out too. We'll miss the movie."

Seres giggles and scampers down the hallway, tail streaming behind him as he sped off to find 'David'.

Joirune
"Alright." Joirune got up from the couch again and smoothed her skirt. "Cute little boy." As she spoke she worked on forcing the blush from her cheeks.

Eau_dEte
Eau chuckles and locks the door behind her, "Yeah, his dad tries to keep a leash on him...but it never works. The kid manages to slip out of the guys watch and runs off." He shakes his head and offers his arm to her. "His part of a set of triplets, you know. Most of the kids and adults here are apart of sets of twins, triplets, and quads." He nods and chuckles again. "Crazy. One would be enough for me to worry about."

Joirune
"Mhm...most small children I've met seem to be quite the challenge." Joirune laced her arm with his and smiled a little. "But they are so adorable."

Eau_dEte
"Yeah." He grins and walks out, keeping her close in case some of the more 'loopy' characters in the house finally took notice of his new friend. They'd almost made it to the door when a snicker sounded behind him. He sighs and stops turning around to face the anthro.

A very...odd looking creature stood there. White wings sprouted from his back along with oddly looking spines. black wings stood out on his head and ankles and his hair faded from white to blue. "Well, 'bout time someone got a girlfriend. Looks like I lost my bet with Aerandir." He smirks, royal blue eyes showing no mercy.

Joirune
Joirune quirked an eyebrow, but knew better than to say anything. She just blushed and half hid herself behind the Rabbit, which probably didn't help the case that she wasn't his girlfriend. "I'm not, actually."

Eau_dEte
Eau glares at the hybrid, "Hello Elata, shouldn't you be in your room? Aren't you under restrictions?" He keeps Joirune behind him, mumbling to her, "He's a Master Illusionist, if you see anything, or feel anything wrong - do your best to ignore it." He turns his attention back to the hybrid.

Elata growls and narrows his eyes, "Watch it, dog meat. You wouldn't want little miss pretty there getting hurt would you?"

"Oh put a sock in it, boy. You have nothing on me. Well, besides a really sour attitude towards your elders." He slowly moves back, pushing Joirune towards the door. Elata really shouldn't have been out of his room, so the guys' parent's must either be asleep or out of the range of the house. The boy was not one to mess with when he was in a 'good' mood.

Joirune
Joirune took the cue, starting to move back toward the door but reaching for the Rabbit's hand as she went. The illusionist had managed to scare her a little, though that was't a feat really, as it was easy to do.

Eau_dEte
Eau glances at Joirune again, feeling her grab his hand. He smiles softly at her, clenching her hand softly and turning his attention back to the hybrid.

Elata raises a hand, pointing it at the rabbit, opening his mouth to say something.

"ELATA DEMGEL!" The voice seemed to shake the foundation of the house, an angel standing at the top of the stairs, his silvery hair long and brushing the back of his knees. He didn't look too happy at the hybrid downstairs. "What do you think you're doing out of your room and bothering these two? Another month is added onto your time." He continues to stay at the top of the stairs, eyes on the hybrid. "I'm really sorry about this, Eau. I've been staying up too late these past few nights for work. I let the spell slip." He smiles at the rabbit.

"Thanks. And it's not your fault, Endra." Eau smiles nervously, thankful the angel had woken up and interrupted the crazed Elata from muttering a spell.

Joirune
Mentally, the priestess whimpered. She DEFINATELY should've stayed in the car. She squeezed her eyes shut, afraid of what Elata might do; only to let out a sigh of relief and rested against the Rabbit's back a little before murmuring. "Can we go now?"

Eau_dEte
Eau waves goodbye to the angel as Elata takes off into the air to go to his father. He nods and turns around, taking Joirune outside. He sighs and walks to his car, still holding onto her, "I am really, really, sorry that happened. Elata is normally kept locked up because of the way he acts." He stops at the passenger side of his car, turning to her and pulling her face up to look at him, "Forgive me?"

Joirune
Joirune was a little suprised when he touched her face, that she just reached up and took his had away. "Nothing to forgive, it's not your fault. Besides, I'm alright." There was no harshness in her voice, just may be a hint of confusion, before she resumed her usual calm demeanor. Her heart had started to race and she didn't know what else to do.

Eau_dEte
Eau frowns and nods, "Alright." He opens the door and smiles softly, "Let's get headed to the movie then." His eyes seemed a little upset, but he kept them away from her.

Joirune
Joirune frowned slightly, despite the fact that she was flustered by the situation, that had been terribly rude of her. "I'm the one who owes an appology, Eau, to you, for being rude just now." She spoke as she got in the car and closed the door carefully once she was in.

Eau_dEte
Eau gets in on his side and starts the car up, "No, it's alright. I shouldn't have let Elata get away with doing that. And I shouldn't have touched you." He pulls out of the parking lot, not turning any music on as he drives to the theater. He was hurt...but he wasn't the kind of person to show it very well.

Joirune
Joirune avoided looking at him the whole way to the theater, she knew she had upset the Rabbit. He may not have shown it but she could hear it in his voice. The priestess lifted a hand to her cheek where Eau's had been and she sighed softly, wishing she could understand more about the world then she did; then maybe she would know how to make it up to Eau.

Eau_dEte
Eau waits for a light to change green, sighing softly, "You still want to see the movie? I can just take you somewhere else if that's fine. Unless you want me to drop you off at your place."

Joirune
Joirune tentatively glanced over at him. "No, I'd still be delighted to go with you, that is provided your not already disgusted with me and would prefer otherwise." The priestess wet her lips while she waited (nervously) hoping he wasn't so offended that he would be rid of her.

Eau_dEte
Eau glances at her, then back to the road as the light changes. He thinks over what he was going to say, "How could I be disgusted with you? You haven't done anything wrong....if you have....it's only because you are not used to being in the real world."

Joirune
Joirune's eyes widened slightly, part of her hadn't expected him to be this patient. "Your too kind, Eau." She glanced away, her cheeks taking on a hint of pink.

Eau_dEte
"I was only speaking the truth, but thank you." He pulls into the theater parking lot, and amazingly gets one right up front.

Joirune
Joirune smiled faintly, her blush worsening so much so that she would have to avoid looking at him, until it lessened. "Your welcome."

Eau_dEte
He chuckles and gets out of the car, walking around to open her door, "Come on, lets get our tickets."

Joirune
Joirune looked up at him, as she climbed out of the car and mentally cursed herself. She must've been so red it looked like she had a sunburn on cheeks. "Sure." She smiled again, but it was still nervous and uneasy.

Eau_dEte
Eau noticed her blush and pays no attention to it, grinning softly as he offers his arm to her. Even if she was blushing and was smiling nervously....she was so adorable.

Joirune
The priestess took his arm, doing the best she could to force the blush from her cheek as she nodded.

Eau_dEte
Eau leads her to the ticket booth, paying for their tickets and walks inside, holding the door open for her, "We're in theater 3." He nods, "So we don't have far to walk thankfully." Eau chuckles and shows the tickets to the Ticket Master, handing Joirune her slightly ripped stub, "Hold onto this, they tend to check tickets in case some people decide to sneak in."

Joirune
"Doesn't matter to me..." Joirune stayed close by him, suprised to see so many people in a little place like this.

Eau_dEte
"Hm, alright. I see a pair of free seats towards the front." He smiles and holds onto her, putting an arm around her shoulders as he walks to the spots. They sit down just as the movie starts up.

Joirune
When the movie ended Joirune was downright terrified. She'd spent more than half of it clinging to the Rabbit, nearly whimpering. The priestess had never seen anything like that in her life; she was sure she'd have nightmares. She'd never been more grateful for something to end.

Eau_dEte
Eau leads her out, ears perked up to full alert in case someone figured a large crowd was good to snag something. He keeps a careful hold on Joirune, who was still clinging to him. The bunny smiles at her, "You could have said no to the movie. Dinner or a theme park would have been better." He smiles softly, thankful it was still light out for her sake.

Joirune
Joirune whimpered. "I don't think I like movies, if they're all like that." She shivered and clung a little tighter onto his arm. "I'm glad you were there though." She admitted, as she chewed on her lower lip.

Eau_dEte
Eau toys with his tongue ring for a bit, smiling. "No, not all movies are that scary. Some are pretty cute, others are romantics and funnies. The one you saw was just one of many genres." He gives her a little hug, "You're very welcome, me being there that is."

Joirune
Joirune seemed almost shy when she asked. "If we do this again, no more scary ones okay?"

Eau_dEte
He blinks in slight surprise, glancing down at her, "Sure. I promise no more scary movies." He smiles and gives her another hug, opening the car door for her. Once he made sure she was in, he walks around the front to the other side, getting in and starting the car. It took him a few moments to get out of the parking lot, seeing as everyone didn't know how to drive. Though this time, he had some music playing.

Socializing At the Clinic
On a slow day at the Clinic, Joirune meets Kari and her daughter Evie.

Amyla Edana
Despite the fact that the weather outside was decent and the nearby parks were beckoning, Kari somehow found herself striding past all of the outdoor displays of natural beauty. After realizing that Evie had not met many children her own age, the Ancient had decided to take it upon herself to find her another infant to play with for awhile. When she had discarded most of the options her own mother suggested, Kari found herself left with the possibility of taking Evie to the clinic in an attempt to run into another visiting parent with a child. It was a longshot, but it was the best idea so far. Evie was getting too used to just the family.

Evie, settled happily on Kari's hip, had no idea where they were going, and she didn't seem to care much, even as Kari opened the front door of the clinic and took her inside, away from the pretty plants outdoors. The infant, happily toying with a brightly colored cat plushie, was unbothered by being indoors and continued to play on, oblivious to the fact that her mother was glancing around the lobby in search of another person.

Joirune
Joirune had found herself with nothing to do that afternoon, so she'd taken it upon herself to start cleaning up around the clinic. At the moment, she was straightening up in the lobby. The priestess looked up when the little bell on the door rang. She smiled at the woman and the little child on her hip.

"Here for a checkup by any chance?" She straightened up and smoothed out her pants and made sure her scrub top was pulled down.

Amyla Edana
Kari, startled by the unfamiliar woman in scrubs, was silent for about half a second. Then she gave a rueful smile and tried to get a new grip on Evie, who had been overtaken by a sudden urge to get away. "I almost wish so. I was actually stopping by to see if there were any parents and kids about for Evie to meet," she replied, briefly flashing her fangs in a friendly smile.

Struggling in her mother's grip, Evie managed to wriggle around so she was dangling half-upside down in Kari's arms, chewing happily on her dog plushie's ear. She froze when she spied the unfamiliar person, even her chewing paused for the moment. She then righted herself and stared, flipping both of her tails around. "Ooooh?"

She froze when she spied the unfamiliar person, even her chewing paused for the moment. She then righted herself and stared, flipping both of her tails around. "Ooooh?"

Joirune
"It's been a quiet day. Only a few people in. My name is Joirune, I'm a new nurse here." The priestess bowed politely, she still wasn't used to shaking hands or anything like that. She smiled again, hoping the other woman hadn't been too started by her.

Amyla Edana
"Well, it was a thought," Kari chuckled with a self-deprecating smile. Ahhh, she should've known better. Oh well. The trip hadn't been a total waste. "It's wonderful to meet you, Joirune. I'm sure I'll be seeing you here quite a bit. I'm Kari, and this is my daughter, Evie," the Ancient added, gesturing with her chin at the green-skinned child in her arms.

Evie stared at Joirune for quite awhile, her mouth hanging open slightly as she tried to process this new and unfamiliar face. After deeming this new woman 'safe', she gave a toothy grin and waved a chubby hand at the nurse, her other hand still closely clutching her well-loved dog plushie. "Hiiiiihihihi!" she chirruped happily.

Joirune
"It's very nice to meet you as well, Kari." She nodded to the woman. "..and Evie." She smiled at the little girl. "She's quite adorable, seems very energetic too."

Amyla Edana
A bit relieved now that Evie had ceased her struggling, Kari relaxed, curling her own tail a bit. Ahhh, a few moments of beloved peace and ease. "Thank you," she replied, her face flushing a slightly darker shade of green. "She's... ahhh... the resident escape artist at home. I'm always finding her hiding on top of the refrigerator or trying to get the 'front door' open. Can't turn my back on her for a second, or she's out and about. I'm dreading the day she learns how to walk." She tilted her horned head to one side, gazing curiously at Joirune for a moment. "Do you have children of your own?"

Evie giggled at Joirune and then commenced chewing on her plushie again, still closely watching this unfamiliar, though very interesting, woman. "Heeeehhurhurhur.." she chortled around her mouthful of plushie, eyes alight with joy and mischief.

Joirune
Joirune frowned a little. "No, unfortunately I don't, unless you count a newborn puppy." She couldn't have children, the natural way at least, if she wished to remain a priestess. Hearing about the clinic's procedures from Julian had intrigued her a bit, and she had started to wonder if she could have a child that way...but she wouldn't want a child alone.

Amyla Edana
A bit bemused by the other woman's frown, Kari couldn't resist a small chuckle. "Ahhh, puppies count as babies, especially when they're newborns. Same amount of work and just as much love." Then again, Kari was partial to canines. It was a natural preference. "The good thing about puppies, though, is that most of them don't grow to out-do you in size."

Evie, meanwhile, got bored of her chewing and resumed a full-on stare. After a moment, she held out one three-fingered hand toward Joirune, making a string of inquisitive noises.

Joirune
"I suppose your right." Joirune's expression brightened and her attention turned to Evie again, for the moment. "A curious little one, aren't you?"

Amyla Edana
"I've raised puppies, and now I've got her. She's cuter, but she's way bigger too," Kari said, grinning broadly. Really, there was no way to accurately compare her beautiful daughter to a puppy. She was just incomparable, but that was the biased parent in her speaking. She took a few steps closer to Joirune to satisfy Evie's curiosity, watching the girl watch the nurse.

Evie gave a squeaky giggle and twirled her tails about, staring at Joirune with large, curious fiery eyes. She let out another string of incomprehensible baby babble, still holding her hand out toward the nurse.

Joirune
Joirune waved to Evie. "There's a little toy bin in the corner, perhaps theres something in there that might interest her?" The priestess glanced up at Kari.

Amyla Edana
Kari gave the priestess an apologetic grin. "Ahhh, I wish. She likes her plushie most of all, but people tend to interest her more than toys," she explained, chuckling and leaning her head away from Evie as the infant began to pet her hair. "For some reason, toys just don't hold her fascination for long."

Giving the nurse a cheerful wave, Evie burbled some sort of greeting and then went back to stroking her mother's long hair. Occasionally she'd pull a hand away to itch at her own reddish horns before going back to the hair-petting, fascinated by the softness of it.

Joirune
"Oh, it's quite alright." Joirune made a silly face at Evie. "All little ones are different." She smiled softly.

Amyla Edana
After a moment of surprise, Evie returned the face, scrunching up her nose and baring her little teeth in what was supposed to look appropriately silly. In reality, she looked like a cross between a vampire and a rabid dog, but that just made Kari chuckle all the louder. Ah, children. "This is true. She isn't anything like any of my siblings, for which I am profoundly grateful on my counts," the Ancient said fervently.

Joirune
Joirune laughed at Evie, she was so cute. "Oh, where are my manners. Would you like to sit down?"

Amyla Edana
Sit down? The thought hadn't even occurred to Kari, but the second that Joirune mentioned it, it suddenly sounded wonderful. "Yes, that might be a good idea, especially if she starts to wriggle aga-"

Right on cue, Evie resumed her squirming, eager to be down and crawling about. It wasn't that she didn't love her mother; the world was just much more fascinating to explore.

Joirune
Joirune laughed and went to settle herself on the couch.

Amyla Edana
Kari sat herself down on the opposite side of the couch, chuckling as Evie suddenly stilled. The infant seemed to sense that she was about to gain her freedom, for she began to make a chuckling sound and flip her tails about in an excited fashion after that brief moment of peace. After comfortably seating herself, Kari leaned over and very gently placed Evie on the floor in a sitting position, relaxing back a bit as she watched the child. Evie couldn't get far in this place; there weren't enough hiding spots.

Evie, however, was totally disinterested in hiding, and she crawled over to Joirune, sitting down in front of the nurse's feet and babbling happily. She flared out her wings and wiggled back and forth, grinning unashamedly up at the woman.

Joirune
Joirune bent over to look at the little one and grinned. "Well hello again." She reached down and touched the girl's cheek. "You looking for someone to talk to, little one?"

Amyla Edana
Evie nodded vigorously, touching Joirune's hand with one of her own. "Yuhhhhh. Hihi!" she chirped, her tails waggling about in a demonstration of ecstasy. The child tilted her head to one side, her flame-colored eyes wide and curious. "I Eeefeeeee!"

Kari chuckled a bit. For all that she could be wary of strangers at first, Evie was remarkably good at making friends, it seems. Well, that was one worry out of the way.

Joirune
"Mind if I pick her up?" Joirune glanced over at Kari.

Amyla Edana
Kari smiled at Joirune. "No, I don't mind at all. She seems to like you," the Ancient said, grinning further at Evie's infectious cheerfulness. She knew she shouldn't be so proud of her lovely daughter, but who cared?! It was a parent's right, after all.

Evie glanced back and forth between her mother and Joirune, looking appropriately confused. After a moment, she simply flapped her wings once and then patted the nurse's hand. "Heeeeeeee!" she said, grinning broadly at whatever special meaning it held for her.

Joirune
Joirune reached down and picked up the infant carefully, setting her on her lap, sideways so she could see her mother as well look around at everything.

Amyla Edana
Uttering a long, drawn-out cooing noise as she was picked up, Evie sat very still for a moment on Joirune's lap, her fiery eyes wide as she processed this new situation. After a moment, her expression brightened, and she giggled, reaching up to pat the side of the nurse's face. "Hihihi!" she declared again, happily fluttering her wings.

"I take that back: she definitely likes you," Kari corrected herself with a smile, watching her daughter interact with the nurse. She managed to hide her giant sigh of relief, though she was no less elated that Evie was responding well to a stranger. Granted, she didn't want the toddler to run up to every unfamiliar person with the same joy, but the fact that Evie was taking the time to look at and evaluate the person before trusting was a very good sign.

Joirune
Joirune laughed and smiled. "If I was ever able to have a child, I would've been delighted if it was even half as sweet as Evie." She glanced at the clock. "Oh dear, I'm supposed to have an appointment coming in, in a few minutes."

Amyla Edana
Kari chuckled, a definite dry undertone to the sound. "Mmm... you'd better hope they'd be about half as mischevious too. She tends to escape from her crib and playpen and hide in various other places" she said, remembering the most recent episode. Dear gods above, it had given her a near heart attack. She nodded in understanding at the mention of an upcoming appointment. "I'd better not keep you, then. C'mere, Evie," she said, standing and walking to Joirune to lift the infant off the nurse's lap.

Evie looked momentarily put-out by this sudden change of situation, but she waved at Joirune nonetheless, clinging to her mother's shoulder. "Buhbyebuhbye..." she burbled, twitching her tails about enthusiastically.

Joirune
"Perhaps I'll see you all again. It was nice to meet you." Joirune stood once Evie was picked up, bowed politely then waved to Evie.

Amyla Edana
"It was wonderful to meet you too," Kari said cheerfully, hefting the infant on her hip. "Until next time." She headed for the door, aware of the fact Evie was staring at Joirune over her shoulder.

"Byyyyyyyyyyyyye," Evie cooed happily, waving a chubby three-fingered hand at the nurse as her mother carried her out.

Life Changing Decisions
In which Eau confesses his love.

Eau_dEte
Julian sits down at his desk, working on some paperwork. He'd just gotten done helping with some minor surgery for a little boy who'd fallen and gotten a nicely sized gash in his side. He finishes up and moves onto something personal; working on his own book about his career.

Joirune
Joirune noticed that Julian went back to his office. This would be the perfect time to ask him. She walked to his office and noticed he left the door half open, so she peeked around the corner and knocked on the doorframe.

Eau_dEte
Julian looks up from his computer, head wings flicking slightly. "Ah, Lady Joirune. Come on in." He saves his work so far and presses the monitors screen off, grinning as she comes in. "What is it that you need?"

Joirune
"I have a favor I need to ask of you...well, two sort of." Joirune spoke as she walked into Julian's office and stood in front of his desk. "I'm supposed to make my final vow today at noon, along with some of the others. I was wondering if you would come, it's a public ceremony, and if you could, bring Eau with you?"

She smiled shyly, those were the favors. Would he attend, and could he bring the Rabbit with him. The priestess wrung her hands behind her back, hoping he would say yes.

Eau_dEte
The hybrid smiles softly instantly, "Of course. I would love to come and I'm sure Eau would too." He nods and glances at the clock on the wall, "So, where is it taking place?" He would need time to go pick up the rabbit and get changed, "Oh, and is there any specific dress code?"

Joirune
Joirune glanced at the clock on the wall as well. "Thank you." She smiled. "Noon, so in a couple of hours. There is no real dress code, so nothing to worry about there. It's at the Sun Temple, on the other side of town, quite hard to miss. I do need to go though, so I can prepare as well."

Eau_dEte
Julian nods and chuckles, "Right. I'll tell the others that I'm leaving when I head out. Thank you for inviting me. It's rare to see one of those Ceremonies personally." He nods and shuts his computer down, picking up the file he was working on previously. "I'll see you there."

Eau sat in one of his house mates' children's' room, working on the boys' computer. It'd crashed a few days ago...but he'd had little time to work on it. Since now he could, he was. Thankfully he was able to get any tools he had from his own room.

Seres kneels on the chair nearby, watching the bunny work on his computer with great interest. His flaming tail swishing back and forth behind him.

Joirune
Joirune nodded, "Your welcome." She left Julian's office and locked up her own before heading out. It was a good half hour walk to the temple by the way she knew. When she arrived there she would have to start preparing right away.

Eau_dEte
Julian heads out soon after Joirune does, getting in his car and heading down to the household. He dodges around the fight that was happening in front of the door and heads over to Eaus' room. He scowls when he finds the note and starts jogging down to the children's section of the house.[

Eau finishes up and dusts his hands off, "There. All better." He laughs as the hybrid tackles him in an adoring hug.

Joirune
Joirune reached the temple and began greeting the other maidens, her sisters, or the closest thing she'd ever have to them. They were curious to know where she'd been and what she'd been up to. She chatted with them as they walked back to the House of Maidens. The priestess seemed a little sad, realizing that this was the last time she'd be there.

Eau_dEte
Julian knocks on Seres' bedroom door, entering a moment later. "Eau? There you are. You've been invited to Lady Joirunes' Priestess Ceremony. If you wanna come, you better hurry and change your dirty clothes. We leave in an hour."

Eau blinks and stares at the hybrid, "I see. Well, Seres, I have to go. I'll stop by later and see if your computer is still working alrighty?" He pats the boy on the head and sets him down, jogging out towards his room.

Joirune
Joirune helped some her younger sisters into their ceremonial robes. She smiled faintly, they would take their first vows today...and she her last. She began helping put hair properly into coils and other little details, trying to keep herself busy, to keep her mind away from other things....and people.

When the hour chimed, she realized she should be getting into her own robes. It was a simple task now, slipping into the fine linen, properly adjusting the sleeves and doing up the collar at her neck. The priestess adjusted her pendant, so that it hang over the robes, where it should, before she busied herself with her own hair and other adornments.

Eau_dEte
Eau changes in record time, running a comb through his hair to settle it. He was told that it wasn't formal, but he dressed formal all the time....well....sorta formal. This time the shirt was a royal purple and his pants a smoky grey with black dress shoes. He slips out of his room, patting Lucky and Benny on their heads as he does. The puppy had managed to open his eyes and was wobbling about his 'apartment' a few days ago. Benny wouldn't let the pup out of his sight for more than a second. The bunny anthro then jogs out to climb into Julians' car, the two of them heading down to the Sun Temple to watch th ceremony.

Joirune
Joirune settled the winged laurels on her brow and put it securely into place with several small combs. That was the last of it. She sighed softly, only to hear someone call for her a moment later. Was it noon already?

The start of light music from the temple confirmed the priestesses suspicions. It was time, the last steps of her path to her future were waiting. She padded lightly to the door and suddenly she thought of the Rabbit, for no reason at all. Perhaps she wished him to be nearby? He would be soon. She reminded herself as she headed for the main hall of the temple.

Eau_dEte
Julian parks in the designated area and walks up to the massive corridor, "This is beautiful." Muttering to himself was a bad habit, but he was telling the truth. His eyes skimmed over the decor and the structure of the Temple.

Eau chuckles and walks a little behind the younger anthro, his ears twitching as he looked for Joirune, his heart pounding in his chest. ON the way over, Julian had informed him of what was happening....and it scared Eau so much.

Joirune
By the time Julian and Eau arrived the ceremony would have begun. With it's distinctive celebratory music and all the pomp and circumstance one would expect at a temple. It was much like a small festival, occasions like this were important because of how rare they were in these times.

A pair of the younger priestesses would've greeted them at the entrance and when they went in, the main hall would seem far larger that it had from the outside. High vaulted ceilings and plenty of windows to allow the sunlight in.

A few of the younger maidens danced and gradually more filtered in, some joining in the dance others seating themselves on the dais, waiting.

Gradually the current song dropped off and another began. This was the dance of the older maidens. Those taking their final oaths this day.

Eau_dEte
Julian and Eau find a pair of seats and sit down, watching the maidens dance.

Eau stares in awe at how they moved so gracefully. He was easily captivated by dancers, seeing as his Caretaker had been a dancer for his Mothers' court.

Julian chuckles and grins with delight, head wings shuffling as he watches everything around him.

Joirune
The older priestesses drifted in, already in the rhythm of the dance, Joirune was among this group. It was much smaller than the other group, another sign of the time, fewer and fewer were willing to join the temple and stay.

This groups' dance was much more elaborate than the first had been. They danced in time with the music perfectly. It almost seemed at points like they glided across the open floor.

Joirune caught sight of the Rabbit as she twirled and she nearly lost her balance. Her heart started to race, but she did her best to ignore it and continue the dance.

Eau_dEte
Eau shook his head, trying to clear his mind. He looks down at his feet, slightly embarrassed that he'd watched her like he had. God, it must be so obvious to her how he felt now. When he looked up, his face was relatively normal.

Joirune
The younger priestesses time to take vows came and went. Joirune sat off to the side of the dais, her eyes filled with pride, she her little sisters. But inwardly she began to question her own path. What she had seen on the outside world, it was strangely fascinating even though parts of it were unnerving to her. The people she'd met had started to mean so much to her.

Her thoughts drifted to Eau again, and found herself scanning the crowd for him again. Her feelings when it came to him were different, not bad, but she didn't understand them.

Eau_dEte
Eau started to fidget in his seat, something he never did. He was starting to get nervous as Joirunes' turn started to come closer and closer.

Julian rests a hand on the rabbits' shoulder, smiling softly, "Just do what your heart tells you. That's all I'm going to say." He returns his hand to himself and looks back ahead.

He was puzzled by what the younger anthro had meant, and was left trying to figure it out. He finally realized it just as Joirunes' turn was next.

Joirune
A priestess who was her senior called to her, and that brought Joirune out of her confused daze. My turn, already? She swallowed hard and managed to get to her feet without much fuss and made her way to the center of the dais, before the grand statue of Apollus.

The first part of the oath was silent, between Joirune and the heavens alone. The second was given by a senior priestess, to which she only had to confirm her commitments. The third part was spoke by Joirune herself.

Her heart started racing again, and feeling as if it would jump up into her throat. It took her a moment to find her voice.

"I, Joirune, cast aside my birth name, my heritage and-" Her voice faltered for just a moment. Why was she hesitating?

Eau_dEte
Eau watches Joirune walk up to the dais and begin speaking. He hears her falter and jumps up from his seat, rushing up to the steps of the dais before he could think of what he was going to say to her.

Julian smirks and leans back in his seat, not stopping the older anthro at all.

Joirune
Joirune was kneeling before the statue still, all her weight resting on her hands. "I can't do this. I just can't." She muttered, looking over her shoulder having heard a crash and hurried footsteps toward her. "Eau?" Her expression shifted to one of half panic.

Eau_dEte
Eau stops at the dais, closer to her than anything. His breathing was barely affected, but his face was flushed. He didn't see anything but Joirune, "I can't let you do this, Joirune. I-I...." he closes his eyes and sighs, his shoulders slumping slightly and his ears drooping. He had noticed her panicked look and it threw him off.

Julian tilts his head to the side, silvery grey locks falling into his face. Come on, Eau. You can do it. Just tell her already. Even being the son of a magician, he had no powers, so he couldn't give the bunny added encouragement.

Joirune
"You'll get in trouble..." Joirune murmured, her cheeks flushed.

This was certainly causes a stir, such a thing was unheard of, many of the temple folk and visitors started whispering. A few of the younger priestesses had darted out of the Rabbit's way and were perched on the dais, not to far off. The older priestess stared for a moment, before her expression relaxed and she smiled. She had a feeling Joirune wouldn't have been able to go through with it.

Eau_dEte
Eau sighs and shakes his head, "I don't give a damn alright?" He reaches up and rubs his face, raking his hair back afterwards, "Ever....ever since I first ran into you that day you were looking for the clinic - I can't stop thinking about you. It wasn't until....recently when I realized something." He blushes and looks directly at her, "Joirune, I can't let you become a full Priestess because I've..." his voice trails off and he takes a deep breath, looking away for a moment, "Because I've fallen in love with you."

Julian grins and folds his arms across his chest loosely, "Atta boy, Eau."

Joirune
"In love with....me...?" Joirune repeated his words, though with a hint of uneasiness in her voice. Her cheeks reddened further. Is that what this different feeling is, for him?

"I don't know love, Eau...I barely know of anything at all. Would you teach me...." She swallowed hard. By now she had turned, putting a hand to his cheek, hoping he would look at her again. "Would you teach me, what is...love?"

Eau_dEte
Eau turns to look at her, locking his eyes with hers as he smiles softly, reaching up to hold her hand that was against his cheek, "I would like to teach you very much, if you wish. I'll teach you anything you want to know."

Joirune
"Be gone from the temple child, you don't belong here anymore." The older priestess said in a commanding, yet affectionate tone. The other priestesses and priests set about clearing the temple and seeing the visitors out.

Joirune slid her arms around the Rabbit's neck, fell against him and just tried her best to calm down. "Thank you, Eau."

Eau_dEte
Eau wraps his arms around her, burrying his face against her shoulder. Since she was shorter than him, he had to lean down some to hold her, but he didn't care. She was his now...and that was all that mattered to him at the moment, "You are very welcome, Joirune. I promise I'll do everything I can to make you happy."

Julian smiles and walks out to his car, leaning against the hood as he waited for the two to come out.

Joirune
Joirune closed her eyes and inhaled the Rabbit's scent for a moment. "Call me Kara, that's my name now.." She drew back slightly, caressing his cheek again. "I need to go to the Hall of the Maidens, to collect my things, and leave these robes behind. Go outside and wait with Julian, I'll be along soon."

Eau_dEte
Eau nods and smiles, "Alright." He leans down without thinking and gives her a soft kiss on her cheek, turning on his heels and walking out, a little skip in his step. He seemed like a little kid as he left.

Joirune
Kara returned to the Hall of Maidens and removed her former robes and adornments with great haste. Her hair came uncoiled, but she left it where it fell. She redressed just as quickly and folded the robes neatly, leaving them on a chair. Then she set about collecting what few things she had left here in her little bag and ran out of the temple.

She looked just like a regular woman now. In a simple shirt and jeans, her hair mostly untamed, but still fairly neat, it curled loosely, ending around her shoulder blades. She smiled at the Rabbit.

She was free, but not alone.

Eau_dEte
Eau grins as Kara comes towards him. No matter what she wore, so it seemed, she was beautiful to him. And that made him beam lovingly at her. He opens the backseat door for her, ears perked up with joy, "After you, Kara." He was so happy to be able to be with her. Sure, he felt a little bad about her giving up her life as a Priestess.

Just a little.

But they were together now, and that was all that mattered to him. After she got in, he climbs in after her, not wanting to sit in the front with her alone in the back.

Julian chuckles and starts the car, setting off towards the Keitra Household, giving his grandfather a text as well as the Mistress of the Household, informing her to keep all of the troublemakers out of the way of Eaus' path as he came home. She sent him a puzzled text in reply, but he just smiled and didn't reply back.

Just A Few Days
Eau asks Kara to be his Mate...

Joirune
Kara had no idea why she agreed to this, Seres had convinced her to go shopping, saying she needed some more 'interesting' clothes. Since she was lacking knowledge on what exactly that meant, she had brought the young one along and now she came back like this.

She fidgeted, the clothes were tighter than she was used to, but somehow they were still mostly comfortable. The top was a little short, and the boots were certainly higher than she was used to, but somehow she managed walking. The former priestess pulled at the separate sleeves she wore, they were much like a kimonos so at least they weren't difficult for her to manage.

Her hair was also done up very differently. For the first time in her life a hair dresser had gotten a hold of her hair, some woman named Vanessa if she recalled correctly, and she'd spent nearly and hour and half straightening, teasing and curling her hair.

And to top that off, she'd gotten her ears pierced, figuring Eau would like it. She wore small gold hoops in the piercings right now.

Kara walked down the hall toward Eau's room and seeing that the door was closed, she knocked and waited for him to answer. It wasn't polite to barge into someone's space, even if it was your boyfriend's.

Yes, boyfriend, that was the right word. Seres had explained that to her today as well.

Eau_dEte
Seres had left Kara at the hallway entrance, scampering down the other way to his own room. He was proud of how he'd changed the ladies' look, knowing Eau would love it.

Eau blinks and walks over to his door, opening it curiously. His jaw drops as he sees Kara, "Wow. You look.....amazing." He grins and steps aside, letting her into his place. His hair was damp, seeing as he'd just recently gotten done with a shower, and the towel was still wrapped around his shoulders to prevent the water from getting his shirt and pants wet.

Joirune
Kara slipped into his room, "None of it was my doing really, Seres picked out the clothes." She smiled, slightly embaressed; but she noticed she could look the Rabbit directly in the eyes without standing on her toes or looking up in these shoes. She blushed furiously.

"But, you like it?" She tilted her head to the side slightly, trying to read his expression. He'd be able to see her earrings now.

Eau_dEte
Eau shuts the door behind her and grins, reaching out to touch the earrings gently, "You look lovely no matter what you wear, Kara." He chuckles, one ear perking up, "Though with those shoes you are my height. That's a bit odd for me.......it's rare to see women as tall as six feet, even with shoes on." He chuckles and brushes her jawline with a finger. "I'll have to get something for the boys' computer as a thank you for helping you out."

Joirune
Kara winced a little when he touched the earrings. Her ears were still tender from being pierced just this afternoon. She smiled a little, willing her blush to fade. "I can take them off, if it bothers you."

Joirune
"Sure." Kara brushed the Rabbit's bangs away from his eyes and gave him a quick kiss, something else on the list of things she wasn't accustomed to doing, but this was one she didn't mind. She smiled innocently, appreciative of Eau's kindness toward her, and his affection.

Eau_dEte
Eau chuckles and returns the quick kiss, turning around to head over to his fridge, fetching a small bag of ice. He wraps it up in a paper towel and walks back to his girlfriend, handing it to her, "Here you go. Why don't you sit down, I got a little surprise for you." he smiles and motions towards the couch, his bedroom door noticeably shut.

Joirune
"Mmm..." Kara made an appreciative sound when the Rabbit kissed her. "Alright." Then she went and made herself comfortable on the couch and began unlacing her new boots. It took her a few minutes before she managed to get them off; then she put the ice against one of her ears.

Eau_dEte
Eau slips into his room, telling Benny to back up with a soft voice. He leans down and scoops something up from the floor, setting the white blur on the ground outside his door and shutting it once again. He crouches down and smiles, "Go to your mommy, Lucky." He beams as the puppy perks its' head up and starts wobbling towards Kara, stumbling every few steps as it tries to rush.

Joirune
Kara heard the Rabbit's bedroom door open again and she looked over. "Lucky!" She dropped the ice and slid off the couch, landing softly on her knees, ready to scoop the puppy up when he got to her.

Which she did gently and kissed the puppy's head. "Such a good boy." She grinned and cradled the puppy against her.

Eau_dEte
Eau stands back up and walks over, chuckling softly, "He started wobbling the day we started dating officially." He nods and sits on the couch, putting one leg up on his other knee, arms on the back of the couch.

Joirune
Kara got up carefully and resettled herself on the couch next to Eau, snuggling close. "He's grown up so much." She smiled, petting the infant dog that was nestled in the crook of her arm.

Eau_dEte
"And so have we." He smiles softly, wrapping the arm that was closest to her around her shoulders, using the other to pat the puppy on the head. Their little 'family' with the puppy was his own way of smiling when Kara wasn't around, especially since Lucky reminded him so much of his girlfriend.

Joirune
Kara rested her head against his shoulder. "I love you....Eau..." She said it barely above a whisper, still knowing he would hear her. Between all the chaos today, she actually taken time to figure things out...especially after talking with Seres. That little boy had actually been a lot of help, whether she realised it or not.

Eau_dEte
Eau melted inwardly at the words, smiling and resting his head gently on top of her head, "I love you, too Kara." He sighs and plays with one of her curls, not really caring that his hair was still a little damp.

Joirune
Kara smiled and sighed contently, letting the Rabbit play with her hair. Just having him close by was nice and comforting.

Eau_dEte
He shifts his head and nuzzles the side of her face, smiling happily as he breathes in her scent. Th action sent goosebumps down his spine.

Joirune
Kara giggled. "That tickles Bunny." She blushed, realising she'd called him that out loud.

Eau_dEte
He pulls away, grinning even more now, "Bunny?" he chuckles and kisses the tip of her nose, "Cute."

Joirune
Kara blushed even more, and had a bit of a sheepish expression on her face. "You don't mind?"

Eau_dEte
"Sure, it's cute." He chuckles and nuzzles her again. He pauses for a moment and pulls away, "Hey, I know this is probably a little early in our relationship...but....I was wondering if you would be..." he blushes and clears his throat, "If you would be my mate." He smiles sheepishly, "I can't think of being anywhere but with you."

Joirune
"Mate..erm you mean like...your wife?" Kara seemed a little puzzled, but optimistic about the idea.

Eau_dEte
He blushes more, "Yeah." He nods softly, "You don't have to say yes, I just needed to ask you so it wouldn't bother me so much."

Joirune
"Gladly, Bunny." Kara smiled warmly. "I can't see spending my life with anyone else...it just, seems right."

Eau_dEte
Eau stares at her for a moment, as if he really couldn't believe what she was saying. "Y-you sure?"

Joirune
"Yes, Bunny. I'm sure." Kara reached out and caressed his cheek lightly.

Joirune
"Can I get a kiss?" Kara asked playfully.

Eau_dEte
Eau chuckles and grins, "Of course you can." He holds onto her hand and leans forward, placing a loving kiss on her lips.

Joirune
Kara kissed him in return, careful to keep a little distance between them since Lucky was still snuggled in her other arm.

Eau_dEte
After a moment he pulls back, smiling happily, "I love you so much, Kara."

Joirune
"I love you too, Eau." Kara giggled and looked down when Lucky began to wake again and squirm in her arms. "I think he might want to go back to Benny."

Eau_dEte
"Yeah." He glances down at the puppy and carefully picks him up, cradling him in his arms carefully. "I'll be right back." He smiles and nods, walking to his room and disappearing inside, this time the door open. Benny didn't come running out because he was occupied with trying to lick his 'baby', making Eau chuckle.

Joirune
Kara shifted on the couch and waited for her Bunny to return. She smiled, resting her head lightly against the top of the couch and pulled her feet up.

Eau_dEte
Eau returns a moment later, his towel gone from around his neck as he settles back down with Kara, smiling happily as he snuggles up close to her. He was one good snuggle-bunny...I mean snuggle-buddy.

Joirune
Kara cuddled up against him and slipped her arms around his neck.

Eau_dEte
Eau snuggles her lovingly, wrapping his arms around her to make sure she didn't fall and to hold her closer, "You've really made me possibly the most happiest guy in the world, you do know that right?"

Joirune
"I hope so, Bunny." Kara kissed him lightly again, enjoying the closeness.

Eau_dEte
"Well, no matter. So long as you're around I really am the happiest guy here." He chuckles and kisses her, right along the crease of her jawline.

Joirune
Kara blushed a little and made a little squeaking noise.

Eau_dEte
Eau pulls back, blinking and tilting his head, "Was that a....squeak?" He laughs softly and perks one ear up.

Joirune
Kara's blushed deepened and nodded a little.

Eau_dEte
"Heh. That was really cute." He leans back in and kisses her jawline again, nuzzling her neck a little before he pulls away.

Joirune
Kara giggled and smiled a little when he pulled away, her arms still around his neck.

Eau_dEte
His lower lip goes out in a little pout, his ears drooping slightly, "What? No squeak again?" His eyes danced with glee as he faked being upset, teasing his fiancee.

Joirune
Kara nuzzled his cheek, then whispered teasingly. "That wasn't the same spot."

Joirune
Kara withdrew one of her hands from around her neck and leaned back just enough so the Rabbit could see her and she pointed to the spot. "There." She smiled playfully again.

Eau_dEte
He grins and moves her hand out of the way, leaning back in to kiss that spot once more.

Joirune
Kara squeaked again. "Bunny..." She giggled.

Eau_dEte
"Yees?" He pulls back, tilting his head slightly as he smiles, looking her directly in the eyes.

Joirune
Kara purred and caressed his cheek again. "Nothing..." She smiles.

Eau_dEte
"Alright." He nods and nuzzles her hand, loving the feel of her soft flesh against his face. The bunny closes his eyes and sighs happily.

Joirune
Kara snuggled close to the Rabbit. "I love you." She murmured.

Eau_dEte
Eau wraps his arms around Kara, snuggling her back, "Love you too, and always will."

Joirune
Kara kissed him again. "Penny for your thoughts, Bunny?"

Eau_dEte
"Hm? What is it?" He loved her kisses, they tasted sweet.

Joirune
"What's on your mind?" Kara brushed his bangs away from his eyes.

Eau_dEte
He smiles softly, "I can't think of anything past thoughts of you, dear."

Joirune
Kara blushed faintly, which made her look quite innocent.

Eau_dEte
Eau smiles and kisses her on the cheek, nuzzling her lovingly.

Joirune
"Mmm..." Kara giggled. "...your so sweet, Eau."

My Beloved
A quiet breakfast..

Eau_dEte
Eau shifts and opens his eyes, yawning sleepily as he slowly wakes up. He wasn't much of a morning person, preferring to sleep in till late in the day. But it was then he realized something warm was snuggled up to him. He thought it was Benny, but the dog didn't make one entire side of his body nice and warm and he didn't mumble when he moved. He glances at what was snoozing on his chest and blinks, finding Kara there. They were still on the couch from the night before, fully clothed to his relief.

Joirune
Kara was still asleep, she had drifted off last night snugged up to the Rabbit on his couch. She had her arms around him and nuzzled against his chest, mumbling something.

It would be another few minutes before she opened her eyes, her internal clock needing to click in, which obviously seemed to have been put on a 'snooze' setting of sorts. She had already slept later than usual.

She sat up, blinked and tried to rub the sleep from her eyes. That's when she noticed Eau laying there. "Ah..eh.....Eau?" She asked sleepily, it look her a moment to remember where she was.

Eau_dEte
Eau manages a sleepy chuckle, nodding a little, "Heh, yeah. Guess we fell asleep while snuggling." He yawns and stretches out, his hair tousled big time.

Joirune
Kara yawned. "Hm...what time is it?" She moved out of Eau's way so he could sit up. But she started trying to smooth out his hair a little, so he could at least see a little better.

Eau_dEte
Eau smiles and glances to the side at the clock on his wall a few feet away, "A little after noon." He reaches up and takes a hold of one of her hands, kissing it softly, "Thank you dear. Water is the only thing that'll fix my bed head." He chuckles and smiles up at her.

Joirune
"Oh my....that's very late for me...considering I usually get up at sunrise." Kara seemed surprised at herself, she'd never slept this late in her life. An embarrassed expression crept across her features and she chewed on her lower lip lightly.

Eau_dEte
"I tend to have that effect on people." He chuckles and sits up, careful not to toss Kara off his lap as he did. He didn't say anymore about what he'd just said, not liking to speak of his past 'lovers'.

Joirune
Kara gave him a little kiss once he sat up, then stood up to straighten herself out and found there wasn't all that much to do really, except straighten her sleeves.

Out of impulse though, she reached up and checked her own hair, it had never really frizzed or acted up before, but she didn't know really what the stylist had done to it, so you never know.

Eau_dEte
He gets up and stretches out, yawning again. "Hnn! Much better." he chuckles and walks over to the kitchen, "Want some breakfast?" The rabbit glances behind himself as he opens the fridge, peering at his fiancee curiously.

Joirune
Kara settled herself on the couch again, still not feeling quite awake yet. "Something light." She wasn't used to any food that was terribly interesting unfortunately, even when she was at her own little apartment she didn't venture too far from what she was used to eating.

She half curled up on the couch again, while she watched her Bunny in the kitchen.

Eau_dEte
"Eggs and toast sound alright to you?" He smiles, pulling some eggs out for himself as well as butter and bread. He starts setting up the stove as he gets the little table set up for two, "And do you want orange juice, milk, or water?"

Joirune
"Sure and water is fine, thank you." Kara sat up again after a moment and smiled again. "Anything you want me to help with?" She didn't know what she could help with. Her kitchen chores in the temple had mostly been scullery duty, dealing with the dishes afterward, the time she had tried to cook, really hadn't gone too well.

Eau_dEte
"Alright." He starts cooking the eggs, "Scrambled or sunny side?" He grins and glances behind him, "It's ok, I got it under control. I do this every morning either way." Eau chuckles and hums as he works.

Joirune
"Uhm...doesn't matter? And alright..." Kara sat back on the couch, feeling a little useless.

Eau_dEte
"The dogs should be up by now. You can go play with them if you want." he glances at her and grins, "If Benny decides to jump on you, just tell him 'Off'. He's pretty well trained." Eau laughs softly and turns back to making their breakfast.

Joirune
"Alright." Kara smiled and got up from the couch, then went in search of the dogs. She checked Eau's bedroom first.

Eau_dEte
Benny looks up from playing with Lucky, his ears lopisded as he watches Kara curiously. The big down had the puppy pinned to the ground, and the pup was gnawing away at one of his legs.

Joirune
Kara giggled. "Good morning Benny...good morning Lucky. How are my two favorite puppies this morning." She smiled and walked over to give them both a pet, then sitting down to let them continue their game.

Eau_dEte
Benny lets out a soft bark as he licks at Kara, glad to have human company now. Lucky yips and growls, still gnawing away at Benny's leg.

Joirune
Kara giggled more. "It's nice to see you too Benny." She pet the older dog and then looks at Lucky again, still occupied with Benny's leg.

Eau_dEte
Eau finishes up cooking and separates the food onto the plates then pours juice for himself and water for Kara. He washes the dishes he'd just used and puts them away, walking to his room and leaning in the doorway, watching Kara.

Benny continues to lick Kara's hand, his rump shaking back and forth as he wags his nonexistent tail. Lucky spots Eau and barks, getting up to stumble towards the male.

Joirune
Kara giggled as Benny licked her hand, but she looked back when she saw Lucky start to walk away when he found something else interesting. "Oh, hello again Bunny." She grinned at him.

Eau_dEte
"Hey again." He leans down and pats the puppy on the head, chuckling as it growls and tries to gnaw on his hand, "Easy there Lucky, I need these things." Eau laugh softly and reaches over, picking up one of the loose toys in his room, giving it to the pup, "Here, chew on this." He stands back up, smiling at Kara, "Breakfast is ready."

Joirune
"Okay." Kara looked back at Benny, "I'll be back to play more later." She got up. "Wheres your bathroom again; I need to wash my hands?" She smiled, and walked over to the rabbit and tilted her head up to give him a kiss.

Eau_dEte
Eau kisses her back and points over to the side of his room where a door was shut, "Over there. I'll be sitting at the table waiting." He smiles and kisses her again, turning to go sit at the table and wait. "Benny, stay in here and make sure Lucky doesn't come out. I don't want you two begging." The doberman barks and trots over to the pup and picks him up carefully in his mouth, taking him over to the opposite side of the room.

Joirune
Kara nuzzled the Rabbit, then slipped past him to get to the bathroom. She disappeared inside for a few moments to scrub her hands throughly before walking out again, making sure to turn off the light and close the door.

She went to join Eau at the table. "Benny is really a sweetheart." She smiled.

Eau_dEte
Eau chuckles, "Yeah, he sure is. I adopted him from a pet store a few years ago when I first moved here to Gaia." He chuckles and glances over at the door where Benny sat, growling softly whenever Lucky tried to come out.

Joirune
"I wish we had been allowed pets. It was bad enough I fed a few strays, that could've gotten me in real trouble." Kara blushed as she sat in the chair, helping a few stray animals over the years was something she'd kept to herself.

Eau_dEte
"Really?" Eau blinks and tilts his head, "Well, that was sweet of you to help those animals even though you would have gotten in trouble if you'd been found." He smiles softly.

Joirune
Kara smiled shyly and took a sip of water. "I like helping, when I can."

That was the end of that, "on screen" anyway.

A Baby Bunny

Doctor Julian
First Appointment
Kara and Eau arrive at the clinic for their appointment. A spell and physical examination are performed to check on Kara, and it is determined that she is, indeed, pregnant. After everything is determined to be proceeding well, Kara is asked to return for a check-up appointment later.

Kara sat at her desk, arms folded on the wooden top, head resting on her arms. She didn't understand but something felt off today as it had for many days now. The former priestess couldn't put words to it, it's not as if she felt sick, mostly just that something had changed. Her eyes closed and she let out a sigh. She was waiting for Julian, he had said he would see her in between appointments.

Julian steps up to her doorway and leans on the inside of it, his hair falling into his face some. He smiles and knocks gently on the doorframe, "I hope I'm not waking you up."

"I'm not asleep." Her eyes opened and she lifted her head from her arms. "Come on in." She smiled faintly, hoping Julian would be able to tell her what was going on. She lifted her arms from her desk and settled back into her chair for the moment.

"Something just feels...off. I don't feel sick or anything." Her smile turned down into a slight frown and a look of mild agitation crossed her features. Kara wished she could've puzzled it out, but she was rather lost. She reached up, taking a hold of one of her tight curls and wound it around her finger absently for a moment before realizing what she was doing and let it go.

Julian chuckles softly, "Have you done anything different lately?" He raises an eyerow, still smiling softly. He had a slight feeling as to what might be up with the poor girl. But he needed to make sure first before giving her an official check over.

The young doctor smiles and chuckles lightly, "Well, it really only takes once, Kara. Come on, lets get you a full check up and see if theres anything going on down in there." He nods and motions with a hand, heading towards the doorway again.

Kara pushed herself up from the chair and followed Julian out of the office. The gravity of the possible situation hadn't caught up with her yet. She forced the blush from her cheeks and let Julian lead the way.

'It really only takes once.'

She paused for a moment, her thought's finally catching up and connecting with what Julian had said. Did he think she could be...? Her eyes went wide for a moment and she blushed in embaressment before managing to regain her composure. No need for near panic, nothing was definate yet.

Julian glances at Kara as he steps up to an open examination room, "Go on and sit inside, I need to get the paperwork and fetch either Izzi or Licen to help the process along quicker." He nods softly, "Don't worry too much, if you are in fact pregnant, Eau will still love you and stay with you."

Kara laughed nervously. She hadn't been worried about the Bunny leaving her; she knew he wouldn't. The thought of even possibly being responsible for another life frightened her somewhat. She stepped into the room and settled herself on the exam table. The nurse looked down at her belly and chewed on her lower lip. What if there was a baby there, inside her right now, already depending on her?

The hybrid nods and takes off to find one of the two magicians, getting the feeling that if he took too long to find one of the two that Kara would have to much time to herself to worry. He could tell she was feeling uncomfortable.

She drummed her fingertips on the edge of the exam table. Waiting was nervewracking and it gave her far too much time to think. Thinking was the last thing she wanted to right now, all it did was worry her, with more 'what ifs'. Kara looked up, choosing to focus on the doorway instead of her belly. Come on Julian!

Julian finally finds Izzi and smiles, "Can you do me a favor and check Kara for me? Theres' a possibility that shes' pregnant."

Izzi blinks and looks up from paperwork, "Really now? Sure, I'll do it. You gotta take over my paperwork though." He giggles and flicks his tail as the younger hyrid nods and moves over. The feline gets up and makes his way down to the room Kara was in.

The sound of approaching footsteps made Kara a little hopeful and she smiled faintly when Izzi appeared in the doorway. "Hello." She had ceased drumming her fingers on the table when the other hybrid appeared in the doorway, but her hands still rested on it. The nurse did what she could to keep from gripping the edge of the table so hard her knuckles turned white. Being in such unfamiliar territory was hard on her, usually she was the one giving the good news of pregnancy, not the other way around!

"Hello Kara." The feline smiles and walks up to her, putting a hand on his hip, "Well, how about we get this done and over with. hm? Give you some peace of mind about the situation." His ears perk foreward and his tail twitches lazily behind him.

She nodded, her posture relaxing a little. Izzi was a friend as much as anyone else who worked here and having a friend nearby was somewhat comforting. "Just tell me what to do."

"Just sit still and try not to move around too much, that's all. It might tickle just a little bit." He smiles and holds his other hand up, eyes glowing a soft silvery color.

"Okay." Kara could manage that much, even in her nervous state. She took a deep breath and relaxed, letting her eyes slide shut.

Izzi lowers his hand after a moment and blinks, his eyes going back to normal. "Well, you are in fact pregnant. Congratulations." He giggles and tilts his head, "Eau is going to be really surprised."

Her eyes snapped open and she opened her mouth slightly wanting to say something, but the words didn't come at first. "Thank you." That was all Kara was able to get out, her mind was racing now. There was a baby there, hers and Eau's. A little bunny. Unconsciously she rested her hand against her belly. How was she going to tell Eau?

The feline nods and pats her lightly on the shoulder, "Good luck." he flicks his tail and leaves the room, letting the young woman muse over the situation.

Kara hopped off the exam table. News like this shouldn't be told over the phone, but calling Eau and maybe get him to come down for a visit, then suprise him? That seemed like a good a plan as any. She left the room and rounded the corner, heading back to her office.

Eau had arrived at his usual time and found Karas' office empty. He blinks and sits down in one of the chairs in front of her desk, waiting for her return. Maybe she just went to the bathroom or something?

Hearing someone in her office Kara headed straight in. She hadn't been expecting anyone at least that she could remember, but sometimes people tended to drop in unexpectedly when they had a question or needed help. The nurse jumped when she spotted Eau in the chair in front of her desk. He was here already!

Mentally she went over the calander in her head. Realizing what day it was, she guessed he was just here for his usual visit with her. Well, half the work of her plan was done already.

Eau perks one ear up, turning around in the seat. He grins and stands up when he sees' his mate enter the room, "Hello love." He walks over to her to give her a soft kiss on the cheek and a hug.

"Hello." Kara half cuddled close when he embraced her. "Having a good day?" She looked up at the Bunny. Take it slow, find the moment, then tell him.

"Going alright, I guess. I had to deal with some computers at home again. They keep randomly shutting down." He shrugs lightly and pulls away, realizing something was bothering his mate, "Something wrong?"

"Well, at least you've been busy." Kara still didn't understand a thing about computers and truthfully hadn't made much attempt to remedy the situation, pen and paper were just fine for her. "No..nothing's wrong." She smiled, doing her best to keep the uneasiness she felt from creeping into her expression.

The rabbit raises an eyebrow, "Somethings' wrong, I can tell." He gently pulls her over to the chairs and motions for her to sit, leaning against the front of her desk, "What's bothering you, Kara. I'm here to listen."

"It's nothing wrong, Eau, just different, for both of us." Kara let her mate pull her to the chair and she settled herself in it. She sat up straight, her hands rested in her lap and her ankles were crossed, priestess behavior, as if everything else didn't give away she was nervous about something that certainly would.

"Oh? How is it different for both of us?" Both eyebrows raise, his curiosity peaked. "Come on Kara, you've got me on pins and needles, love."

"I'm pregnant, Eau. That's why I've been so...off lately." Kara watched her mate for a reaction, not entirely knowing what to expect. Her posture relaxed slightly, now that the news was broke, but there was still an air of nervousness about her.

Eau was silent for a few moments as he processed the news. He finally clears his throat and blinks, "You're sure?"

"Izzi checked for me, just a little while ago. I've never heard of him being wrong." Kara swallowed hard, but didn't take her gaze from Eau. Silence from him didn't mean quite the same as it did from others; when her Bunny was quiet he was quiet for a good reason.

"It's not that Izzi isn't wrong, it's that he never lies." He pushes off the desk and walks up to Kara, kneeling down in front of her and taking her hands in his. A smile finally appears on his face, "I'm going to be a father."

"Yeah, Eau, you are." Kara squeezed his hand gently.

A Tour of the House
Sky meets Kara and shows her around the house.

Joirune
Kara walked behind the young anthro has he bounced along the hallway. She still wasn't sure how he managed to convince her Bunny to let her out of his sight in the condition she was in.

At that thought she looked down at her belly, which was only a little swollen and the moment and beamed. A little one...it still seemed mystifying to her at that moment there was a little life growing inside of her, that she and Eau and made together.

She looked up just in time to see Seres bouncing further away from her. "Seres...wait up!"

Skysong Keitra
Seres giggles and stops for a moment, his tail flicking until he spots someone and lets out a delighted squeel, "Sky!" He scurries around the corner and giggles loudly.

A soft laugh is heard from someone else, supposedly 'Sky', "Hey there, Seres. What are you doing all the way over here from your computer? It's rare to get you out and about."

Joirune
"Seres!" The former priestess called the little anthro again and rounded the corner a moment or two after he disappeared around it. "There you are." She looked up, only noticing who he had been speaking to.

"Oh, hello." She smiled.

Skysong Keitra
Seres giggles and murrs loudly, clinging to the female anthro lovingly, "Heeee."

"Hello. Sorry if he scared you - the boys around here rarely see me any more." She purrs softly at the youths loving hold on her, her wings shuffling behind her back, "I'm Skysong, keeper of this house and all the beings in here." She smiles and shifts the hybrid in her arms, holding a hand out to the other female, "It's odd to see another female here, but if I'm not mistaken, you must be Kara, Eaus' mate."

Joirune
Kara nodded and bowed politely instead of taking the offered hand, Eau had yet to break her of that habit. "I am, Kara Aditi. It's wonderful to meet you finally." When she straightened a hand went to her belly and she smiled again.

Skysong Keitra
Sky chuckles softly, remembering hearing something about the older females bowing, "Same here. I've heard so much about you from little Seres here." She beams at the boy in her arms, tickling him a little.

Seres squeels in delight and squirms, his tail lashing back and forth as he giggles, "Down please!" He giggles and scurries off, waving as he disappears around a corner, figuring Sky would guide Kara now.

The female hybrid shakes her head and smiles, "Oh, congratulations by the way. You two must be so thrilled to be soon-to-be-parents." She giggles, her tail flicking a little.

Joirune
Kara nodded again. "We are, Bunny worries so much though. I'm not sure how Seres convinced Eau to let him take me on this little tour." She smiled faintly. "Eau will make a wonderful father though..."

Skysong Keitra
"All fathers are worried about their mates and first child. Trust me on that." She giggles and remembers all the beings in her house were first expecting...and even herself now, "Eau is a great guy, he's just making sure you don't feel too restricted. Plus I'm pretty sure he made Seres take you only through the 'safe-zones' of this place." She chuckles and shakes her head, arms folding over her stomach. It was then that she was noticeably pregnant as well.

Joirune
"Congratulations." Kara's smiled widened, when she noticed Sky's belly. She ran her fingers over her own belly lightly, not even realizing she had done so. Her mind was on the 'Little Bunny' a lot lately.

Skysong Keitra
"Thank you. It's a bit tiring to deal with it though, always having sweet cravings." She frowns and scowls a little, "As well as these...disturbing pains." She sighs and rakes a hand through her hair, the red bangs in the front blending with the darker brown - making it look like flames in her hair.

"Either way, it's still a wonderful experiance." She smiles and giggles, her mood changing instantly, "Would you like to see more of the house? I can take you to different parts that Seres cannot go into as well as any of the moderately safe-zones. None of the boys will mess with you while around me. They're too scared they'll be kicked out of the house or fear my angry hormonal wrath." She winks playfully at the female.

Joirune
Kara quirked an eyebrow and a look of concern crept into her features. Pains? "I can make up some tea for you that might help with that, if you like."

"I'd love to see more of the house, if you don't mind. It'll be good exercise for us both." Her expression softened, lips curving into a small smile.

Skysong Keitra
Skysong smiles softly, "That'd be wonderful." She giggles and steps to the side to allow Kara to walk beside her, "Then lets get the show on the roll."

Joirune
Kara would take care of getting the tea once she was able to get back to her apartment again, which would be in the next day or so. She walked beside Sky as they went along, listening as the other female explained things.

Just to be on the Safe Side
While at work, Kara meets Amyla.

Amyla Edana
Amyla often prided herself on being a practical, down-to-earth sort of person, not prone to superstitions or paranoia. Friday the thirteenth never meant impending doom, and she didn't think her children acted up any more than usual on a full moon. Similarly, she didn't feel it necessary to fret every time she felt under the weather. People got tired, and people got sick. It just happened.

However, when exhaustion became prolonged and was coupled with the fact that she was having the oddest cravings for cashews and baked fish, plus the fact that she was late, she felt that perhaps she might indulge in a bit of paranoia, just this once.

I hope the clinic doesn't mind walk-ins... she thought nervously as she parked her car and strode swiftly up the sidewalk to the clinic entrance. Realistically speaking, the odds of her paranoia actually being on the money were about one in a billion. Still, better to be safe than sorry, she figured, though she looked exceedingly ill at ease when she slipped in through the clinic door into the lobby area.

Joirune
Kara was sitting at the receptionist desk while Seakin was out on his break. She looked up when the door opened, then glanced at the appointment list. Nothing scheduled for a half hour. Oh well, perhaps this lady needed assistance. "Excuse me miss, can I help you?"

She shifted in her chair and looked at the other female. Something about her seemed off, she looked tensed, almost worried.

Amyla Edana
Ha. Busted as soon as she walked in the door. Amyla gave a self-recriminating smile and walked up to the desk, trying to shove away the butterflies in her stomach. "Err... I don't have an appointment, but I had another of my children through the clinic. I... ahh.. am having a temporary bout of paranoia that I might be pregnant... again." Oh, gods above, this was embarassing! She felt like such a moron.

It should have occurred to her that the poor female sitting behind the desk was a new employee, mostly because she had never seen a female employee in the clinic. However, fear and anxiety were overriding logic in this instance. "I was wondering if I could perhaps set up an appointment or something just to... put my fears to rest?" she finished, feeling increasingly idiotic. She was so never telling Aiodhan about this; he would never stop teasing.

Joirune
"Oh, you don't need an appointment for that. I can do that test for you now." Kara smiled. "What's your name, so I can make a note on your chart about it?" She asked politely, pushing the she was seated back a little further before standing.

Her hair was pulled up in lolly curls again, a style that she needed her Bunny's help to keep in proper order and she was dressed in scrubs. Amyla would notice that her figure seemed slightly off, due to a little swelling in her belly. She was pregnant, and even barely showing she was quite glowing and cheerful.

Amyla Edana
Amyla breathed a massive and quite visible sigh of relief. Oh, thank goodness! She could put this paranoia to rest for good. "Thank you very much. The name is Amyla Raikes. The file may be under my mate's last name, though: Layden." She couldn't remember for the life of her whether Yana's and their chart was under her name or Aiodhan's. Ugh, she hated complicated matters.

Ever the doctor, she instinctively picked up something a bit off by the way Kara moved, and her eyes were drawn to the rounding in the other woman's figure. Ah ha. That would explain the cheerful nature. Much as she wanted to ask, though, she was almost afraid that in her nervous state, the query would come out sounding very wrong. She opted to keep quiet for the moment.

Joirune
"Mmm...I remember seeing that one." She walked to the shelves of files and plucked one out. "There we go." She smiled and went back to the desk to put up a little sign that said 'Receptionist is currently out and will return shortly.' on the desk just in case anyone else came in.

Then she disappeared from Amyla's line of sight for a moment before reappearing when she opened the door that led to the rooms in the back. "This way please."

She dissapeared again and headed down the hall to an empty room.

Amyla Edana
If the butterflies had been active before, now they were on massive caffeine highs, zipping around her stomach and making her feel like her torso was about to explode in every direction. Amyla swallowed and offered up a brave smile. Yes, she was just paranoid. Nothing to worry about.

She wondered for a moment where the woman disappeared to before the door off to the side opened. Ah, that way. She should have remembered that. Shifting her purse on her shoulder and trying to look more at ease than she felt, she headed through the open doorway and followed Kara down the hall.

Joirune
Kara looked over her shoulder at Amyla, realizing she'd forgotten to offer her name. "My name is Kara, by the way. I just started her a few weeks ago." She went to one of the room doors and opened it, stepping out of the way so Amyla could go in. "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable. I'll be back shortly." She had to go collect a few things for a regular pregnancy test, seeing as she was no magician like Julian or the others.

Amyla Edana
Amyla smiled at Kara. "Nice to meet you, Kara. I was wondering why you didn't seem familiar." Way to be rude, Amyla, by not properly introducing yourself and asking her name... she growled at herself. Anxiety was killing her brain cells and her manners, it seemed. She nodded in understanding and stepped inside the exam room, carefully seating herself on the edge of the exam table.

You could have just done this at home, y'know... her mind nagged at her.

Oh, shut up. Ever since I had Caleb, every one of those at-home tests I've taken has shown up negative, even when I was pregnant with Yana... she grumbled back at herself, trying to ease the nervousness she felt. In the end, she had to cross her ankles, clasp her hands in her laps and sit up straight in a futile attempt to keep from fidgeting. Oh, gods, she hated nerves!

Joirune
Kara wasn't gone long since most of what she needed to collect was in one place. She grabbed a bottle of water from her office before returning to the room, and Amyla. "I'm afraid this will have to be the old fashioned way, since I'm only an herbalist and not a magician." She blushed a bit embaressed, offering Amyla the bottle of water.

"So, how many other children do you have?" She was a little curious, considering Amyla had mentioned that she might be pregnant again, plus perhaps this woman could give her advice.

Amyla Edana
Amyla had to chuckle, albeit a bit weakly, at that as she took the bottle of water. "It's all right. I've tried the take-home ones before, but they have always showed up negative, even when I was pregnant with my daughter. Maybe this will work a little more accurately," she said, giving a self-effacing smile. It was frustrating, really, and it only made her nerves all that much worse.

She was surprised by the question but thought for a moment, trying to take count. "Biological children... two, both of whom I carried. Adoptive children... oh dear." She took a few more sips of water to cover the fact that she always lost count. "Ahhh, seven."

Joirune
"Wow, that's a lot of little ones to be responsible for." Kara seemed a little surprised. She leaned back against the counter and put a hand on her belly. "Little Bunny is my first child." She smiled a little, not realizing she'd referred to the baby as 'Little Bunny' again. "...a surprise too, though my mate and I are so happy about it..."

Amyla Edana
Amyla nodded, taking another few swigs of water. "It is. Two of my adopted kids are adults, though, and one has a kid of her own. Fully half the kids are in that lovely late childhood, early preteen stage where they think they don't need us. And the rest are young," she said, chuckling faintly. The woman had to stifle a grin at Kara's reference to her child. It was cute, and it was certainly better than the way that Aiodhan jokingly referred to Caleb at times. She just prayed the little dragon-boy didn't end up like Aiodhan had been as a teen. Gods above save her, if he did...

"Congratulations. It's good you've got your mate to support you. I don't know how I could've gotten through my two pregnancies alone." Of course, she wouldn't have been pregnant either time without Aiodhan's assistance, but that was semantics. Pure semantics.

Joirune
Kara blushed slightly, then picked up Amyla's chart and pulled a pen from her hair to make a note about the test on it. Once that was done she replaced the pen in her hair and put the chart down again.

"I know it'll be a while yet, but I'm already excited and impatient to see the baby." Her blushed deepened a little and she tapped her fingers on the counter. She'd left the cup on the counter beside the door whenever Amyla was ready to go.

Amyla Edana
Remembering her own eagerness to see her kids before they were born, Amyla chuckled. "I know what you mean. But be grateful for the time you get to spend with your mate now. Your time wil disappear after the baby is born," she said. She and Aiodhan had had to improvise to make time, but they managed. And it was worth the time spent trying to organize the alone-time.

The water bottle was half-empty before Amyla felt ready. "All right. Time to get this done," she said softly, eyeing the cup. Ohhh, she hated doing this. "Is there a restroom that I can use?"

Joirune
"I bet, but it will be an adventure..." Kara smiled and nodded. "Just further down the hall, two doors down on the....right." She nodded again. "I'll meet you down there in a moment or two, then we can get this test done."

Amyla Edana
"Definitely," Amyla said, standing and scooping up the cup. "All right. Thank you. Just be a moment," she said, trying to shove the butterflies away as she strode down the hall. Two doors down on the right... there it was!

She re-emerged from the restroom a moment later, the cup carefully sealed with the lid. She really hated having to do it, but it was necessary. Besides, a little indignity was a small price to pay for not having to be paranoid anymore. Ahh, the joys of science.

Joirune
Kara pulled on rubber gloves she'd brought with her to the room. She hated the things personally, but they were necessary. She smiled at Amyla and waved for her to sit again. "It'll only take a couple of minutes."

She was grateful that she'd brought the other materials for the test to the room, she could tell Amyla was anxious. It was the usual strip test, like the home kicks except a fair bit more accurate.

Once that was taken care of she removed the gloves and sat down in a chair. All that was left was to wait a few minutes.

Amyla Edana
Returning to the room, Amyla managed a very, very tremulous smile and then sat down again, clasping her hands tightly in her lap to keep from fidgeting. She knew it'd be negative. There wasn't a snowball's chance in hell she was pregnant. But that didn't stop her insides from flopping around like a dying fish.

She nodded at Kara, just sitting quietly for a moment. Not panicking... not panicking... not panicking... she thought furiously to herself. She couldn't panic; there was no reason to! "How accurate are these tests?" she asked curiously, just trying to distract herself.

Joirune
"97% or so." Kara settled back in the chair and glanced at the small digital clock on the counter in the room. Two minutes. Unfortunately she didn't know what to say to Amyla to offer any sort of comfort, she hadn't had to endure this, Julian had been around to help.

One minute.

She looked at Amyla again, the woman looked as if she would faint from nerves. She rose from the chair again and went to check the strip and smiled, her back to Amyla still. "Well, I have some news for you."

Amyla Edana
Amyla nodded, offering up a faint smile. Good. They were very accurate, which meant that the odds of it giving her a false positive reading were about one in... well, the odds were very low. She tried to relax a little as Kara got up to check the strip, though she only succeded in fidgeting. Oh dear.

She swallowed. News... news was good. "Ah... okay? I'm not pregnant." It was a statement, not a question. There was just no way in hell...

Joirune
Kara slipped on a glove again, picked up the strip and turned. "Actually, you are. Congratulations." She smiled at Amyla and walked over, figuring she would want to see the strip just to be sure, since she noticed that the other female was a doctor after all.

Amyla Edana
Amyla didn't quite pass out, but she certainly looked like she wanted to. She had to grab onto the edge of the table to stay seated upright. She mouthed soundlessly for a moment, looking at the strip and then up at Kara's smile... and then back down at the strip. She couldn't miss the results, but.... but...

"But how?! I... w-w-we had to have help before! How could I be... oh no." Ohhh, yes. Problem!

Joirune
Kara tried to help steady Amyla with her ungloved hand. "Are you, okay?" She looked concerned. "Perhaps some higher power helped you, this time?" She smiled softly, hoping she was being of some help to Amyla.

Amyla Edana
Amyla waved a hand and nodded, then pressing the hand against the side of her forehead. "Yes... yes, I'm fine. I just... I didn't think I could get pregnant without us getting... help. We... sort of agreed not to have anymore, at least not for awhile." She paled a bit. This was entirely unexpected.

Then the neurons of her brain formed the necessary connections, and she grinned suddenly. "Yeah, maybe we did get help. Everything happens for a reason, right?" she asked rhetorically, moving her free hand to rest it on her belly. She was pregnant. Again. "Thank you, for... for helping me. I think I might want to set up an appointment."

Yes, and call Aiodhan. Oh, man... this was so not the way she planned for this visit to go.

Joirune
Kara nodded. "Your welcome, Amyla. Always glad to help when I can." She went to the counter set the strip down and removed her glove. "Have you had problems with morning sickness, or anything like that in the past?"

While she waited for an answer she added the note of the result to Amyla's chart and that she would be scheduled for another appointment.

Amyla Edana
Amyla, still in a bit of shock, took a few seconds to process. Morning sickness? Ah... did she? "No, no morning sickness," she said quickly, once her brain started catching up. "Not this time and not before. Just... mostly tired and weak for extended periods. And strange cravings." Haha. Strange was a mild way to put it.

Despite her outward state of semi-calm, her mind was still racing in circles. Oh, she needed to call Aiodhan and set up an appointment. And she'd have to make sure she still had some maternity clothes, though she doubted she'd need them for awhile. And then there was preparing a nursery...

Joirune
"Okay, I figured I'd ask, because I know a few herbal remedies that can ease it." Kara smiled, then set about disposing of the test supplies in the proper biohazard container on the counter. "Lets go up to the front and get an appointment set up for you and you can use the phone there to call your mate, alright?"

Amyla Edana
"Ahhh. Okay..." Amyla said, getting to her feet whilst attempting still to process the full implications of a positive pregnancy test. She wasn't ready for this... not now. "I... uhh.. I have a cell phone. I'll call him when I'm on my way home," she said, rubbing a hand on the back of her neck, her eyes wide. "But thank you. I think an appointment is definitely necessary."

Joirune
"Alright." Kara wasn't used to a lot of technology, though she had an idea of what Amyla was talking about when she said 'cell phone'. She walked out of the room toward the front desk, quite grateful they used paper appointment books. The thought of using a computer made her nervous.

Amyla Edana
Amyla nodded and followed Kara rather dumbly out of the room and toward the front desk. Pregnant. Pregnant again. Oh... crud. "Errr... the last time I came in, they had to do a spell for me to become pregnant. Is it going to be something similar this time?" she asked, trying to get a handle on everything.

Joirune
"For you, I believe it is just regular checkups, but you'll still be seeing Julian for those, unless he says otherwise. If he's not around though and your having any problems, I can help you out." Kara settled herself at the receptionist desk and moved the sign. Where was Seakin...he was late coming back from his break again.

She flipped the appointment book open, looking for a time in the next couple of weeks. "What days are best for you?"

Amyla Edana
Remembering Julian fondly from a previous visit, Amyla nodded, smiling all the while and trying to calm down her frantically anxious mind. "All right," she said, fidgeting a bit as she stood before the desk and tried to think of good days. Good days meant... the older kids were at school and Kari and Nieva were home. "Uhh.. Tuesdays and Thursdays are best. Other weekdays work too, if it's after about one in the afternoon," she said, watching as Kara flipped through the appointment book.

Joirune
"Mm...okay." Kara looked through the pages. "The only opening in the afternoon on a Tuesday is two weeks from now at 2:15 pm. As for Thursday..." She looked a bit more. "Next week, at 1:45 pm." She glanced back up at Amyla.

Amyla Edana
Amyla nodded an affirmative. "Next Tuesday at 1:45 sounds good. Thank you," she managed a smile, the butterflies fading away to a dull ache that had settled in the pit of her stomach. Oh dear. How was she supposed to break the news to Aiodhan... and the rest of the kids?

Joirune
Kara penciled in Amyla's name and phone number from her chart. Then she copied the information onto an appointment card and handed it to Amyla. "Your welcome."

Amyla Edana
Amyla smiled and took the card, trying to disguise the definite tremor in her hand that came from deep-seated nervousness. "I'll see you next Tuesday, then. Good luck," she said, gesturing at Kara's abdomen. She stowed the card in her purse and made her way across the lobby to the front door, noticeably subdued in nature.

How in the name of all that was holy was she going to break this news?

2nd Appointment

Doctor Julian
Check-up
Kara and Eau come to the clinic for a check-up. After another brief physical exam and a round of questioning, a few spells are performed to check on both Kara and the baby's health. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary, but Kara is ordered to get some extra rest. The anticipated arrival seems to be close at hand.

Journal Log - April 20, 2007

Well, everything has been going by so quickly but so slowly at the same time. I met the love of my life, Kara Aditi, prevented her from being lost to me forever, and now we are expecting a child.

Life can be grand, can't it?

Because of some issues back at home in France, I may have to leave for a little while to fix things there. I wonder if Kara will want to come. I'll have to ask her later. Of course I would prefer she not meet my actual blood family - they're too unexpectedly crazy at some times. I'd take her with me just so she can say she's been to France and have some nice - and I mean nice - stuff from the country.

Oh I do hope she says' yes.

Anyways - I have to go, she's calling me and I must answer.

Journal - April 20, 2007

It's strange, writing in a new journal. Though, I left my first one behind at the temple, I didn't need anymore reminders of the past I have no way to return to, even if that was my wish. Eau saved me from making a terrible mistake and fully devoting myself from that life before I understood what life on the outside was like. Bunny is my husband now, my mate and we're expecting our first child any day now. I can't wait to see the baby, which I've taken to calling 'Little Bunny'.

Julian ordered me to rest and take time off work, so I might as well get to that resting now.
