RagsofAsh Pleinar Artist : Pleinar This is a biggy for me, the reason why all my customers have to wait. sorry crying I attend an anime convention every year except for this year I didn't technically planned on going to Sakuracon (seattle). Kinda last minute kinda thing. So i didn't have any artwork ready. Usually it takes me all year to come up with a few prints to sell. Now i'm trying to cram it all in month's time. I'll be lucky if i can get three completed prints done. In the anime convention alot of artist attend what you called an artist alley. A place where art enthusiast like ourselves can purchase beautiful prints from those artist you oh so love! Usually for Plei, artist alley means monies for her. And a possibility that she may travel to your local conventions if she makes enough. So wish me luck! Question.... when you do your lineart... I noticed you use different colors for almost every different colored section. It gives it a nice look. You do the line art before you start your picture - right? I'm assuming I'm right, if not stop me there; but, Do you do all your line art on one layer or is it seperate layers for each different colored line art? I really hope you understood that - I may have confused myself >> Oh and luck is sent your way and is wished upon you. 3nodding Each Lineart section like, hair, face, eyes, clothes etc.. is its own layer. You could persay make it all one layer but it gets kinda hard to recolor the lineart itself. Coloring the lineart gives it the look that the picture is soft even though it's cell shaded. You'd be amazed what a difference it makes between plain Black lines vs colored Lines

StephAnnie Ann I wish I had a program to use for CGing... it looks fun. The GIMP - it's an awesome free program you download from the internet. It's basically a ripoff of Photoshop - like Linux and Windows. xd Only thing it's not as good as Photoshop but pretty dang good when ya got nothin.

Me-sa has a WIP of the newest Avi I'm doing. I tried the different colored lineart - I'm not sure if I like it yet or not. *giggles* I'll probably delete and redo this completely before I send it to her. Woot for stubby fingers - lineart sucks. But My WIP!
GIMP! Love it! Oh! i'm also ordering a tablet from Ebay - a cheap one as I don't wanna spend all 100 bucks I earned for 'overtime' (supposed to be building a deck in the backyard) ... do cheap tablets work just as well as others?

There is a sensitivity factor that is the difference between the cheap and expensive.

Kamui Tenria 2 There is a sensitivity factor that is the difference between the cheap and expensive. Is there a way to overcome the sensitivity factor? Or is it "just shut up and go for the expensive one already"And is there an inbetween? Not the best but not the worst and therefore cheaper than the best.....

Of course there is an inbetween and if you goof around with the settings enough it should be fine.

Of course there is an inbetween and if you goof around with the settings enough it should be fine. *groans* But last time I goofed around with the settings on the computer I had to call Customer service and for 3 hours worked through all the kinks. Did get really friendly with a nice guy from Thailand though who used to be a professor at a college - he tried to teach me how to speak in his language but never understood O-o Oh well *shrugs* can't be helped I suppose *pokes* thankies for the help. There wouldn't happen to be a customer service number with tablets would there? xd

Have we got RagofAsh art Rae? If not I think we should get some.. If we do.. i think we should get some more..
Rag of Ashy I have a Wacom which is worth like $300.. mind you I didnt pay that.. $200 came from work vouchures I got for being an awesome employee and the other $100 made the tablet a birthday present from my ex xp
But i would recommend saving to buy a better quality one for the simple fact that you would probably be looking at buying a new one if you found out that the one you bought doesnt do what you want it to do or it wears out.. Yadda yadda yadda..
And you would probably buy a better quality one laters anyways.. 3nodding
Okies.. I've rambled enough..
~: Ninja's in a WiP update at the end :~
