Well, it's been a while, hasn't it?

Prana is growing so beautifully. She seems to have adjusted to the fact that I have classes. I can't help but feel she should be spending more time with the other Legends though. But so many of them seem to be away right now. Perhaps Prana can have a visit with Bowen one of these days, as I seem to see Buffy around quite frequently. I don't think they've seen much of each other since the beach trip and the short playdate they had in the HQ a few days ago. And I think she'd really like to see Waya too. She's been carrying around a little wolf doll she'd been given a while back. I really hope the little cub is ok...

But for now, Prana will have to settle with her mother's company! I have the entire weekend off, so we're doing all kinds of fun things. First and formost, she's coming with me to get a haircut. And while we're out, I think I'm going to take her shopping and buy her some new clothes. So many of the other Guardians take their Legends shopping, I feel like I don't do it enough! That should be an adventure!

Ah ha! I managed to get both Prana and myself to the HQ again last night. At least it wasn't a long time between visits this time. And there was quite an assembly of people there too. Pink was there with Guinevere, and I met Orasteele and her little Legend Aureli. What a beautiful child. I can't wait to meet her twin brother. (Though the thought has crossed my mind...a bear child, and a wolf child, and now two deer children. Could make for some interesting play sessions at the HQ.)

Speaking of the other children, I think Prana might be getting a bit lonely. When Guinevere went to play with Aureli, Prana just sat and watched her leave. I think she felt abandoned. I hope it's because I don't bring her by the HQ enough. Honsetly, I was a bit worried about her. I think she misses some of her other friends, too. Lately, she had been sitting around playing with her feathers and doing nothing else. Especially the black one Chandra gave her. We haven't seen Dare and Chandra for about a month now, and she hasn't had any time to play with Chesai, even when we've been at the HQ and she's been there. And since Buffy has been so busy, we haven't seen Bowen either. Hopefully, this will all remedy itself, and Prana will perk up a bit.

So much has happened in the last week!

I was feeling guilty again, because I had been so busy with school, so I took Prana back to the forest to play for the weekend. I'm happy to report Prana likes the car much better now. She's much less antsy and we had fun listening to the radio. She babbles along with it like she's trying to sing. I wonder when she actually will start talking...
But we arrived safely, and set up our things, then tucked into a warm bed for the night. The few days we spent there were lazy and peaceful. Much of the time was spent cooking and talking with other people. Just qulaity resting and bonding time, though I did make a point to bring up the odd occurance between Waya and Prana when she was down a nap. There were a lot of healers gathered, and I thought they might know what had happened. The closest explination they could give me without seeing the event was Reiki. Hands on healing. And that's what she seemed she was trying to do. They told me one of the signs of a healer was warm hands. I wish Prana could have talked with them. Even if she had just heard the conversation and not understood, it might have come back to her one day and refreshed her memory. I'm just so afraid I won't be able to provide the answers for her once she asks the questions. Though, a remarkable gift did come my way after speaking with a healer. I was gifted with a bear claw. It's a remarkable thing, and somehow I can feel the power of the bear coursing through it. I haven't shown it to Prana yet, but I think I'll give it to her when she's older. Though for now, I'll just content myself with the fact that she's a baby. At least I have some time to just be with her. For now, her biggest concern seems to be sleeping, playing and warding off big people who try to feed her chocolates.

Oh, that reminds me! Prana ate her first piece of candy this weekend. Well, not really candy, but sweetened pieces of ginger. Chocolate is still a no go, though. But my baby is getting a sweet tooth. I was afraid I was going to have to hide my stash of sweets when she got older, so she wouldn't take them and throw them away!

We made it to the HQ again today. I passed right out on a couch, but it seems Prana was quite active while I was not.

Apparently, Keita and Gyre were there too. And later Demare. I had only heard of the twins, and seen them in passing, so I was happy to see that at least half of the set was doing quite well. What a simply delightful child. A little scratch behind the ears is all it seems to take to cheer him up. And Gyre is signifigantly calmer now too, which is all for the better. Prana even seems to like her now, and shared her hat with the feathery Legend. I think she likes birds. (I'll have to look into that for Christmas time...)

I can't quite tell what she thinks of Demare yet. She's so quiet around that boy. She just...stares at him most of the time. But she showed him her bag, so that has to be a good sign. I'm happy she's still social, even after so long a time away from the HQ!

Looks like Prana is the popular one this season. We got some presents in our mail today. One was from Auntie DS, and another was from a secret santa. I wonder what they'll be?
This holiday, were going to have a nice day at home. Just the two of us and a cozy fireplace. Maybe we'll visit the HQ later in the evening too. I wish I could have done something monetary for all the children, but time and funds allow neither. We do the best we can with what we have. Just each other's company is blessing enough these days.
