"Indeed." Helaku nodded. "Our foals will not lack for friends nor family. If you want, I can show you to the herd lands. I'll warn you it's not much of a herd, just a few members." He tilted his head, thinking. How best to describe the loose confederation that was Wild Thunder? "More like...a net of allies. We're all connected, though we might not be physically near each other. We come to each other's aid if it's needed."

"It might be helpful to know," she said after a pause, unsure if she wanted to make the trek to see the lands but knowing that if she needed anything, that was where she probably should go if Helaku couldn't be found immediately. "Distant allies are better than nothing at all."

Helaku nickered a laugh. "Even if it does mean extra duties for me." Arching his neck to give her jaw a light n**, he smiled warmly. "Which will have to wait. My first duty is, and always will be, making sure of your happiness. If you'd rather wait until you've had the foals, I will abide by your wishes." With a grin, he added, "After all, Princess has her own mate, she can press him into service when she wants to stretch her legs."
With a groan, he flattened his ears as he heard himself. "And I really should get away from there for a bit. You're the only mare I want to mention this much."
