My spirit guides are panthers (cougar and black leopard), the stag, a falcon, and a wolf.
These animals visit me while I am meditating, and also in dreams. The panthers and the wolf visit me the most, followed by the stag, then the falcon.
Do any of you know what these might mean? sweatdrop

The site linked to above has some of the "traditional" teachings associated with different animals, but you might apply different meanings, thereby making the overall message different and personalized to you.

I am a believer in the power of animals. Also in the respect they deserve. But, as for my totem, I picked up the belief in totem upon meeting a shaman who has taught me some things. ((I am an ecclectic spiritualist, I take my beliefs from experience and knowledge.)) Through Tarot, my own experience, and just seeking my own thoughts... I've come to accept my spirit guide is a tiger.
I found, like most of the cats I've attached to, that she is present most prevalently when I'm upset or in need of comfort, and aloof other times. I found a long time ago I had an affinity with cats... they always caught my attention, and I always enjoyed wearing clothing with cat images. The tiger eventually drew itself out as the most prevalent cat I was moved by. And somehow, the white tiger catches my attention the most, though I believe that is due to other beliefs.

If you did not interpret it as such, you should probably just figure out what it is you associate the stag with, and take that as the intended meaning. Ooh! Thanks! I've been trying to find a site with animal spirit interpretations. Hmm.. I guess some of that fits me, except the gentle and listening part... sweatdrop I tend to have ADD tendencies when people talk to me. xp sweatdrop
