Alek laughed, ruffling his hair. "Well actually yeah, it's a little wierd, but I sorta get it." He paused to fix his shoe, holding onto a tree for balance. Once he finished, he looked up and hopped over to Ice. "Yes, yes I'm coming."
Anala laughed, falling over backwards and rolling away from Veive. "No touch~!"

Ice noticed the limp almost immediately but was wise enough to ignore it. In her experience, people who were...disabled...in some way hated pity or treated differently, so she said nothing, and walked forward smiling, holding some branches aside politely. "Then you're doing better then I was when I first met Veive." Giggling she could see the two girls slightly further away engaged in some sort of tickle fight that Veive was obviously winning. 'Veive, stop tormenting your sister." Ice said with a smile.
Veive looked up and frowned, sitting back on her little legs. She had been having fun with her sister and disliked the interruption. She felt as if their bonding time had been somehow ruined but then again, that didn't much make sense. "I wasn't tor..ment..ing...her." She manged to say, tasting the word in her mouth. It was a very odd word. "What does that mean anyways?"

And while Alek was indeed adverse to pity, he didn't mind small things. Thanking Ice, he moved to stand next to her, watching the sisters. He waved at Anala and smiled at Veive, saying, "Tormenting is kinda like bothering or annoying." Or torturing, but that didn't fit into this context. Alek was mildly surprised that that was Anala's sister; the two hardly looked alike. But that was fine, he supposed; similar siblings happened all the time anyways. "So you're Veive then?" he asked. "Nice to meet you!"
Anala gave a slightly breathless giggle of relief, sitting up. She was having fun with Veive and felt vaguely disappointed that the fun had stopped, but she didn't oppose a short break. She shook her head, then smiled and waved back to Alek. "Al, hi!" She looked at Ice and her smile grew wider. "Hi hi!"

Ice smiled and let the branches go slowly so they wouldn't snap back or break, and dusted off her dress slightly. It was amazing how dirty you could get in the woods without doing anything. Turning back to the sisters she smiled and waved at Anala. "Hello Anala, it's been awhile."
Veive thought about what he had said tormenting meant and quickly decided that she liked the word a lot. Gazing at Alek carefully she looked him over, attempting to size up her sisters guardian and get an idea of him. "Nice to meet you. I guess your Al...?" She looked at her sister questioningly since this seemed to be the person she had been calling too. Then, a little late, her mind caught on to him knowing her name. "Hey, who told you my name?!" She said as she looked back at him curiously, swishing her tail happily.

"Your mom." The corner of Alek's mouth twitched. A voice (who sounded not unlike his brother) made a little quip at the (vague) joke reference. He ignored it and gave a little bow. "Yes, I'm Al. Or Alek. Or Aleksander, but really, Al or Alek is fine." He limped over to the two, bending down to ruffle Anala's hair. "So, what've you been up to, eh? You move pretty fast for a squirt." He grinned.
Anala swatted at Alek's hand half-heartedly, eliciting a chuckle from her guardian. Looking back at Ice she said, "Been 'while, yes. Sis mom ok?"

Ice felt awkward being called Veive's mom, and they shared a weird look together. If anything, they acted like sisters, maybe really cousins, but they both knew that Ice was not Veive's mother and that she was far to young to be so. That's what all the Guardian's seemed to be calling themselves this day though, so they shrugged it off, accepting it as a title only. "I'm fine, thank you Anala. And you? I see you've found a new Guardian to look after you..."
Veive decided that Alek was okay as far as Guardians for her sister went and she nodded at his array of names. That could be annoying if he always introduced himself that way. It was a mouthful to say the least. Sitting back, she watched him carefully trying to get a more accurate reading of his character but finding nothing on interest to talk about. "What happened to your leg?" She finally asked, smiling and the horrified look on Ice's face.

Alek's eyebrows rose at Veive's question. His leg wasn't really a touchy subject, not after all these years, but this was one of the few times anyone actually asked how he broke it. Most people avoided the subject entirely. Tact and all that. Veive was interesting, he felt, plucky even. "I broke it, when I was little. Got hit by a car."
Anala, oblivious to any awkwardness in the air, looked pleased. "Good. Na? Na ok." She looked up at Alek for a moment and patted his leg. "Yes. Al. Al ok too. Al fi', bring home." As to what happened to her other gaurdian, Autumn, she knew nothing. And her memories, they were hazy. It bothered her vaguely; there was little that she actually knew. There was nothing she could do about though, at the moment.

Ice relaxed very slightly, and not very visibly. Sometimes Veive's forewardness irked her and she found it rude...luckily Alek didn't seem to think so. Trying to stay out of that conversation entirly she resumed speaking with Anala. "Well, I'm very glad to hear that...and that Alek is taking good care of you."
Vieve thought about it for a second before trying to clarify things. "You got hit by a car...? What were you doing around cars?" Catching Ice's glare she just calmly looked back. She saw nothing wrong with her questions and it seemed that Alek didn't either, so why was Ice getting so edgy?

"I was crossing the street. Someone told me the driver was having some kinda problem right then, but he's healthy now, I think." Just in case Veive asked about the driver, he clapped his hands together, saying, "Okay, new topic! Something not oldy-moldy! Any ideas?" He knew the driver, he was a nice guy, and while he had no problems with questions about himself, he didn't think he should talk about Caines and his problems.
Anala smiled, saying nothing. It was getting a little boring now, doing nothing but talking. She fidgetted, running her fingers through the grass.

Vieve narrowed her eyes alittle at the change of topic but quickly attempted to relate it her own touchy issues and over look it. Some things just didn't need to be talked about. At that point her eyes slid to Anala, wondering why her sister was here with her. What had happened after her exile....?
Ice caught the tension and sat down, picking up Anala and putting her in her lap as she ruffled the girls hair, careful of her wings. "Anything else you want to tell me about Anala?" she teased, smiling and playing with the infant.

((Lol, you read my mind. xD; Was running out of things to say. If you mind my ending it here, poke me, 'kay?))
Andrae raised his eyebrows at Veive's expression, but didn't get time to dwell on it, as, suddenly, the cellphone in his pocket began buzzing. He pulled it out quickly and flipped it open. A voice yelled at him through the phone, he countered. There was a short conversation, ending with a "Fine, fine, I'm coming" from Alek. He sighed, flipping the cellphone shut and smiling. Giving a short bow to Ice and Veive, he said, "Well, I guess I gotta go. Brother calls and all that. See you guys later."
Anala gave a short giggle, shaking her head. "Nuh. Bor'd lil'." She twitched her wings and patted Ice, looking bemused. She frowned when Alek came over to take her away, but let him anyway. She waved to Ice and Veive as they left. "Bye! See la'er, 'kay?"

Veive stood up and nodded, attempting a semblance of being polite. She waved, sadly, to Anala and smiled. "Yep. We'll see you later." And maybe she'll remember more...hopefully.
Ice had handed Anala over to Alek carefully and stood, patting down her dress from the loam on the ground. "Yes, we'll definatly have to get together again." Smiling she waved to Anala playfully and put her arm around Veive.
