I'm attempting to work on that. I've been scouting around a couple Irish guilds where some members speak Irish (fluently it seems), so maybe I can get someone soon... hopefully.

Okay, cool.

Nobody's gotten back to me on that yet, but I found some links floating around the Gaian Irish guilds (and Yahoo as well):

If someone wants to know (which there probably is), there's two ways to say Good day or Hello in Irish; Dia duit and Dia daoibh. Both means literally ''God to you''. But when do you say Dia duit, and when do you say Dia daoibh? You say Dia duit to one person, but Dia daoibh to more than one. Dia is Muire duit is the reply to Dia duit, and Dia is Muire daoibh is the reply to Dia daoibh.
Examples:
Person 1: - Dia duit!
Person 2: - Dia is Muire duit!

A couple of persons 1: - Dia daoibh!
A couple of persons 2: - Dia is Muire daoibh!

Well, I just thought this opportunity was going to waste for you all to learn some Irish so I decided I’d put up some basic stuff to keep you all occupied while you wait for a teacher. I speak Munster Irish, so that’s what I know about greetings etc.
The thing over the vowels is called a ‘fada’, which means long and basically you just extend the vowel. Below you will see ‘Tá mé’ (I am) pronounced Taww may.

I have put English- Irish – pronounciation

Hello = Dia duit (literally meaning God be with you) (dee-ah dit)
Reply= Dia is Muire duit (God and Mary be with you) (dee-ah iss muh-rah dit)

Someone may start with the second one and then you would reply
Dia is Muire duit is Padraig (God and Mary and Patrick-patron Saint of Ireland)

How are you? = Conas atá tú? (cun-a** a-taww too)
I am good= Tá mé go maith. (Taww may guh maw)
I’m not good= Níl mé go maith. (neel may guh maw)

What is your name?= Cad is ainm duit? ( cod iss an-am dit)
My name is ***= *** is ainm dom. (iss an-am dum)

Where are you living?= Cá bhfuil tú i do chónaí? ( pronounced caww will too ih duhh chhonee)
I am living in= Tá mé i mo chónaí i ***.

Welcome= Fáílte (fall-teh)
You are welcome= Tá fáílte romhat.
Bye= Slán (slawn)
Thank you= Go raibh maith agat (guh revv maww ah-guwt)

Happy birthday= Breithlá shona duit (breah-law huh-na dit)
Happy Christmas= Nollaig shona duit ( null-ig huh-na dit)
I love you= Tá grá agam duit (taww graww ag-am dit)

I hope this helps a little, tell me if you can’t understand the pronounciation or if I’ve done something wrong please.

How are 'r's pronounced in Irish? Rolled, like Russian, Spanish, ect. or like the English 'r'?

It depends if it's a broad or a slender 'r'. But I'm not sure how the 'r's are pronounced, but I know there's broad and slender.

Hey ya I said I'd teach it so..I'll just start I suppose..first of all I'm not the best for explaining things and to top it all of Irish is really complicated, hard to explain unless you've been doing iit for years and the simple stuff is knocked into you since you were like 4, I've been doing Irish for like 13 years and like, 1 year left of school and I still find it hard it's not as easy as other languages but I'll give it a lash oh and another thing I'm from Cork so the way I speak Irish, the way I was taught is in Munster dialect, some words are pronounced differently

The letters of the alphabet are pretty much the same in English, most are pronounced the same but sometimes change in different circumstances.

é is pronounced a..like is é he is
i is pronounced e..is í she is

but then in other words it changes.

There's no j, k, q, v, w, x, y and z except in English Irish words like veain (van).

The fada..the line thing over some letters..(just the vowels)..gives it a longer sound like Tá taaw.

Like here are some phrases that'll give ya an idea what it's like..

Thank you: Go raibh maith agat..

pronounced like G-uh, Raibh..R-e-v like eav in heaven, maith..the mai is pronounced like mo part of moth the th in it isn't pronounced a-gu-t.

You're welcome: Tá fáilte romhat.... T-a-a-w f-o-i-l-t-a r-o-w-t-h

Hello: Dia dhuit....D-e-a q-w-i-t (cause of the h..I'll explain the h later, if there wasn't a h it would be d-i-t

What's your name?: Cad is ainm duit?....C-o-d is (like is in sister) ann-im dit

My name is..John..:..John..is ainm dom..d-u-m

How are you?: Conas tá tú? C-u-n-i-s t-a-a-w t-o-o (like to)

Pronouncing words is kinda like the way they're spelt but some are like weirdly prononced..
One thing that affects the words are the broad and slender..
There's broad and slender words..like em they're vowels..

a o and u they're broad i and e are slender..I'll explain that later but that's all I've time to put up now.

Not the best I know but I'm going out. I'll try to put more decent stuff up later.

Shouldn't the first one be ''Pog mo thoín''?

I've been on this page before, so if anyone wants to learn badly enough to go off site and hang out, Erin's Web is a good source. I saw it was linked above, but I'm willing to bed it was largely ignored ninja
