(( *puurs...* ))

Soft sunlight poured through the window as Airez looked out from the room. He lacked a shirt, though his pants stayed on for that time as his body leaned up against the wall, looking out over the city with a smile upon his face. He was content, happy with that which was around him. Something in his eyes seemed soft and percious, those white orbs that held a mystical glance on them and turned back into the room.

It was a bedroom, filled with essential needs for such a place. His eyes, however, wandered only to the sleeping area of his, a large king-sized bed with a mess of blankets on it. Beautiful sheets that curled up in a lump near the middle. The lump, however, was no ordinary lump. It was something the man held dear and thought of constantly, even at that very moment. In fact, he walked over and sat near the edge of the bed, looking down with half closed eyes, while reaching over with his hand to grasp at one of the sheets.

Upon doing so, naked tan flesh could be seen; That of a beautiful woman. Of which, Airez graciously leaned down and kissed the surface of the person's shoulder, dabbling it with his lips in an attempt to wake her.

"Orphne... it's a new day, my love."

(( X3 Me? Nekkid? You're the only one who can get away with that kind of thing. <3 But I compromise, panties at least! ))

Curled up amidst the center of the blanket was the sleeping body of the house mistress. Each unconscious inhalation made her bare chest rise and fall, brushing the downy sheets that engulfed her form and drowned the woman in a sea of darkness. A comfortable coccoon of cotton warmth, and even in dreams, she reveled in the sensations.

Oh sweet 1200 thread count...

With a sudden tug of the sheets, it was riven.

She cringed as the daylight pierced through her eyelids and stained her vision with a hazy rouge. Orphne made a soft "Mmmmm," sound at the back of her throat and pressed her forehead to her knees, pulling close the length of her legs with a stubborn embrace. Something soft and moist puckered the skin over her shoulders. A deep purr slipped from her lips and she buried her face, balling into a shy fetal position and clasping the sheet beneath her in a rush of open palms. A smooth voice spoke clearly from above.

Airez... "Nooo..." The plea got lost within the space between her tangent knees.

(( Awww X3 Panties it is! ))

Smiling at the adorable look of his lover, Airez laid down next to her and continued to drip his kisses over the tanned back of her body. A toughened hand pressed upon the warm back of Orphne, rubbing and caressing in another attempt to wake her up from her slumber. Though, it was never easy to wake up this person in general, knowing how easy it was for her eye to fall shut and her body to slumber.

"Come now." spoke Airez as he lifted his lips to her ears, "It's time to get up and meet the day."

That said, he softly kissed her inner ear, letting his warm breath touch gently on the surface before pushing against the bed and sitting up. His lightly tanned torso shone in the air as his companion's glowed gently in the sunshine.

"Orphy... oh Orphy..." whispered the pale haired man, dressing the words with whimsical tones.

The bed sank to the side and Orphne felt her body slip down against the smooth expanse of her companion's body. She curled up deeper into her limbs as his skin grazed the curve of her spine and sent a small shiver down her back. The stillness of the room seemed to hold for an endless moment, compelling the woman to lie peaceful beneath the morning spell.

She smiled discreetly as Airez dragged his course fingers over her velvet flesh. He worked hard during the day and it was sometimes difficult to find a moment of calm for them to share, both being especially busy citizens.

His breath slipped into her ear and she stirred, twisting around slowly to face her partner and draw him into a soft embrace as he sat upright. She missed his chest and found her arms slipping down to encircle his waist. It was firm, so she kissed his side to ease the muscles. Her fingertips scratched lightly at the knees in his pants.

"...Mmmmhh... Mmnnoo... Sleep wth me." Eyes sealed shut, the sole of her foot ran down the cozy man's legs. "'S too early to go..."

"Orphy-love... you know I have to be at work in an hour..." smiled Airez as he continued to stroke over his lover's smooth, silky back. Without a second thought, he laid his body down against the tired woman's body, cradling her up into his muscled arms from hard work, then pressing his chest agianst hers in a loving hold.

It was rare that time allowed the two of them to share a sensual moment such as this. he, working all day out at sea, while his other half did her own job in life. They were both very busy people that worked hard to feed those around them and themselves. Many times it was agonizing being so far away from each other during the day, to see the smile upon one another's lips.

The lips that Airez gladly leaned into and kisses graciously, tenderizing to unknown extents of admiration and compassion before letting break as he looked bakc into her closed eyes.

"I suppose I can stay around for a few more minutes." spoke the words that tranced the air into a comforting caress of warmth. "The boats won't leave without me..."

She savored what little of a kiss he granted and basked in the warmth that he emanated. The little nymph yawned softly and nestled her cheek against the crook of Airez' shoulder. The way he felt rough and unrefined, the way he smelled of the open sea and lake beyond, she loved it all.

Her fingers slid along the length of his spine.

"Airez..." His name spilled from her lips as she moved to make room for him on the bed, spreading down the sheets. Her body welcomed the comfort that his might bring and naturally, she felt the need to comfort him as well.

As her eyes opened up to the morning, she gazed up on her lover, admiring the way the sunlight poured in and bathed his figure with an unearthly glow. It reminded her of the secret he once shared with her... The way he changed. The image of it stuck in her mind; a picture of some sleek and ghostly figure, engulfed in a fire of dazzling heat. It warped into an impossibly brilliant white and she could barely stand to look for more than minute lest her vision burn away.

The memory was surprisingly peaceful for such an odd an exhillarating moment as it had been.

But looking at him now, no one could guess. He fit right in with the community and people seemed to take for granted appearances. She might say the same of herself, but unlike her lover, she had no alternate form. She merely chose to extinguish who she used to be and the power that went along with it. Not that she didn't miss it now and then, but to sacrifice the calm and happiness she had now was something that could not be done.

Orphne breathed in restlessly and arched her back into the air as her arms snaked upwards under the pillow and clawed at the cotton exterior.

"They will not because they cannot. You're too precious." Cocking her head to one side, her strange golden eyes balanced on his with a look of mild contemplation. That was all the hint there was to what might lie dormant within. Those pale, sterile eyes of his.

"I could say the same about you, Orphne my dear." spoke Airez in a lulling voice, moving over and hovering above the tangent frame of his lover. Half-closed eyes stared dreamingly at the beautiful visage that was before him, not but a few inches from his own, "Without you, the sun wouldn't sun, the moon wouldn't glow, and the wind wouldn't dare blow."

Laying down atop her, his smile widened, letting loose a shimmer of his smile to the room. She was everything to him, the very reason he chose to stay in this place, to stay as a fisherman for his life. Her voice and love was what allowed him to stay happy and to appear content with most everything that happened in this and every other land. What wonderous words ellicted from her tongue were always caught but his tempted ears, not once wanting to see her frown.

He would not leave this land because of his love for a woman, one who he would gracious give his soul to.

His body descending, he laid against the slim form of his lover and coiled his arms around her back, letting his lips peck upon her warm neck. Rays from the sun beat upon his back, warming his body to a vast extent as he dabbled kisses up the side of Orphne's velvety skin, tingling up over her shin and purring softly agianst her cheek.

"Without you, there wouldn't be anything worth admiring..."

An embrace occured, cradling surface to surface as Airez's eyes closed, letting his feeling guide him upon his soul mate's audible bliss, tickling her rosey lips with a long drawn out kiss, breaking off momentarily as his fingers draw upwards through her hair, tussling the strands with his hands.

A smile spread over her lips. Saccharine compliments slipped from his tongue like thin honey and as he moved to smother her with himself, she merely tilted her chin upward without defiance and fed on his aura. He felt so alive that she nearly drank him in. It stimulated her blood and reminded her of what she was, and all she could do to satisfy it was return his embrace with her whole heart and being.

And when he kissed her, she felt at home. Not in the dark mazes of her youth or in the morbid caverns of her origin, but tucked up in a bed, in a pleasant little house wedged between countless other quaint little houses, all overlooking the clear blue waters in a happy little place called "Port Gino."

Letting him go was to relinquish a deeper part of herself. "Mmmm..," she purred to him, as he separated.

Her fingertips threaded themselves through the hair at his nape and traversed up through the pale, angelic strands. Each was like a silken fiber that floated upon her skin. It reminded her that Waya was somewhere sleeping in another room, having come to spent the night here, rather than at their home in the forest.

Waya, her child. She loved him more dearly than she did her own soul... but it left an empty void in her heart to know that he was not "theirs" and could not be spoken of as "ours."

The nymph sighed and nuzzled the shadow man's cheek, kissing it only lightly. The thought of a few nights ago lingered in the back of her mind; he spoke derisively to her about her being incapable of caring for Chayton because she was not with child.

But how did he expect her to be? It was not that she couldn't and it wasn't that she did not want to. Completely opposite of that, she feared that the reason she wasn't already pregnant was because he didn't want the burden of being a father.

How many times had she seen him playing with the Legend children? He seemed to love them... Perhaps because they didn't quite fit in with the world around them in the same way that he did not, and because he would not bear the responsibility of diapers, baby food, and crying at all hours of the night.

His excuse was that he could not have children and that it was physically impossible, and so she remained a virgin though they had lain together many times... He claimed that he did not want to lead her on.

What dissapointed her more was that she felt he might be deceiving her because she was being selfish enough to want something that only he could give. The one something that he was unwilling to give.

Feeling him press into her body, she thought of the clothing that remained and how it was never to be removed. Her fingers touched the carnation pink lace that stretched over her hips.

His caressing started to grow painful all too quickly.

"...Stop it."

A sudden bolt shot through Airez's entire body, his eyes flickering open in a vibrant allure of colors. Something was desperately wrong, the same feeling he was getting not a few nights ago. That ngiht in the legends' home, feeling that aura escaping from his love's body like a snake twisting about and constricting his stomach. Though it was enough that they were in private quarters that it felt worse some how, pushing him back until he was laying at Orphne's side, breathing a little harsher than he had before.

His chest started pounding, blood racing through his entire body, that which was foreign to him as he looked at Orphne. She was... hurt. Which ultimately meant something inside of him hurt as well. His very own heart was beating erraticly.

"Orphne... is there something," started Airez, looking at his love in her eyes as best her could, trying to offer his support, "That you want to talk with me about...?"

Orphne's chest rose and fell in Airez' shadow, then in the sunlight as he shrank away. The bright day made her squint.

"I don't want to have to talk about this... But I need to." Her head turned upon the bed to lay flat. Her eyes focused on his lips, and his nose, and the sharp rise of his cheekbones, but she found it difficult to look at him straight on.

For a person as she, this world still made her weak. To look at him now, she would give away her sadness. He wouldn't take her seriously if she cried. Looking everywhere else made it easier to keep a stone expression.

So looking down, she saw her body and ran her palm along the length of the torso. Flat and smooth middle. Empty inside. That hurt too, and so she looked at the ceiling instead.

"I want a family."

The thought was a bit striking, though Airez was slightly prepared for this moment. Britain, his friend, had explained the idea that Orphne might in fact be looking for such a goal in life now. And boy, was she ever right, leaving Airez to sigh audibly.

He knew the complications, the problems, the draw backs, and understood the entirty of what that would ensue, and what it meant on his side of the race. But, he wasn't too sure how exactly he could make it work for her side as well.

Two different kinds of people, each hailing from different parts of the grand existance. He, on one hand, was all but native to this land, while she was more intuned to it that he ever could be. It created problems on a level of race, and pride to tell the truth. His own race was to be pure in structure, not shifted and distorted. Yet, he felt it was in him to talk with her about it, more so than he'd cared to show before.

"Orphne..." commented the man as his hand went down and laid upon her own, "I've told you this before that I'm not even sure it's possible... but..."

Stopping himself, all the reprocusions seemed to come flying back at him, all the thoughts of purity and dignity of race. The essence of one of the oldest existing species to be tainted some how. Thus, there were very few ways in which one could go about accomplishing somehting like this, something his lover wished.

"...I can try something that I thought of, if you really want a family, my dear."

She cringed. There he went again, trying to please her even though it wasn't what he wanted.

She hated that. The way he'd give her anything at his own expense, but that made it impossible for her to take anything. She wanted him to share happily. Not reluctantly give things up.

However, she had not the power to change his feelings on the subject. "You say that everytime, that it's not possible. And only now you've thought of something?"

Orphne curled up into a fetal position, facing away from the man who's bed she slept in. His eyes seemed to bore through her skull and she hated how despite her efforts to mask the pain and emotion inside, it leaked out as it did in all people, completely open to the inquery of Airez and his almost magical senses.

Unfortunately, his "magic" wasn't powerful enough to make him realize that there were practical, traditional ways of having children. If Gods could do it, why couldn't he?

"There is such a thing as sex. I know it sounds cliche, but it works." she felt a guilty for being so sarcastic.

But he didn't understand. She went to work, and she went to the Headquarters... Everywhere she went, her friends were fawning over their children. Biologically unifying personages... Was she being unfair to want the same?
PostPosted: Sun Dec 12, 2004 3:12 pm

The words escaping Orphne stung deep into Airez's mind, seeing how she was acting. Not even giving him a chane to rspond, not giving him a choice on what to say, only trying to make her seem like she was the one in complete and utter pain at that moment. It was all too puzzling for him to assume of her, knowing she hadn't understood the whole concept of his race.

"I say it's not possible because the obvious way of doing it doesn't work the same way it does for you. This so called 'sex' isn't sonething practiced for me because my kind haven't had to do that sort of thing." informed Airez to Orphne as he pressed his hand to her back. "And the way in which we actually have 'sex' is much more different than the convention way."

Sighing, he shook his head and rested it against the smooth skin of his lover's back. He loved her enough to do this for her... to have something of their own that belong to both of them.

"Those children... they may be different and such, but they are still like kids to me. Though they are not mine, nor will they ever be, they still accept me and look to me at times for guidance and help." Stopping there, he removed his hand and body from Orphne, sitting up at the edge of the bed and looking out into the sunlight. "Sol may be my child, but I've never really had much of a chance to raise him myself. He was always being taken care of by others while I was away, taken care of by the Jentra."

There was that word, the Jentra. They were what he was thinking of, what he wanted to explain to her that very moment.

"Do you still want to listen to what I'm talking about, or what I was going to talk with you about...?"

Airez

He touched her to make a point, and when he thought it had been made, he moved away.

She felt cold as he talked about how his children weren't truely his, even though Sol was more his than Waya was hers. She didn't understand how he could be so genial about the ones that depended on him most.

He deserved the silent treatment. If he wanted to speak, let him speak, but she would not listen to him argue that he didn't have a chance to raise Sol. He had the chance, but he chose not to take it, just as he'd left his little minx alone in the Reju center for months in the care of others.

Abandoning his "children" seemed to be a specialty. Orphne felt a tear brim on the edge of her eyelid, threatening to break.

And in her mind, she could see it. He finally gives her the one thing she wanted them both to have, and he leaves for that uninhabitable seclusion, to escape the task of being a parent and being obligated to someone. She could see Sol running errands and Shen and Waya sitting in the backyard, bored to death, while she sat in a chair, staring out the window while a small baby lay in her arms, forgotton.

Airez would try because he would want to please her. Then he'd realize that mentally, he wasn't ready and just like that, he'd fly away to that far away haven with a woman left behind and a baby that she cannot care for because she is too consumed with thoughts of him.

She might be exagerrating the truth in such an instance, but she was too focused on her present pain to truely care.
