"Or of the monkey bars, at least," Ivy smiled, "Hnf. No fair. Warm wings...and all I have are these buggers. You'd be amazed at how well they conduct heat." She shivered a bit and pulled her jacket closer around her.

Elshiva shrugged again, holding Leopold to her. She knew what princesses were, and what space was...but not pilots or dragons or knights.

"Conquering the monkey bars is obviously the first step to taking over the world," Chao replied easily with a faux-haughty smirk which degenerated quickly into laughter.

"And warmth is the only thing they're good for, at least your's are relatively un-bulky and they look easier to clean that these things," she flicked one of the many feathers back into place before tilting her head at Ivy, catching the way the other woman was drawing up her jacket.

"Though," she patted the area behind her invitingly, "I suppose their bigness means I can share their warmth a little easier."

Cheshire watched her carefully for a moment, tilting his head at her continued silence. Shrugging he stepped a bit closer to her so he could wrap one arm around her, like Fai always did to him, "le's play space princesses," he glanced at her quickly, checking for a sign of unhappiness or approval even as he continued on, gesturing to the playground at large, "tha's our kingdoms, n' that, tha', thatn'that are our planets," he nodded to the various equipment. "It'sa being invaded by snow dragons, n' we 'ave to defend it."

Ivy smiled and blushed a bit, antennae baubles glowing brightly.

"O...okay," she nodded and fluttered with an insect-like buzz up behind Chao. She settled down and sighed.

"I hope you don't take any offense," Ivy said then, "but your son...doesn't look much like you. Is he adopted?" She hoped to strike up a friendly conversation involving finding children in various places.

Elshiva stiffened a bit at the touch, but then nodded and bent down, picking up a small stick, which was a laser gun, to defend her...planet. My my, this really was a bizarre game.

Chao smiled, amused by Ivy's reaction. It reminded her quite a bit of the way Reid lit up when he was pleased. As Ivy settled next to her she easily stretched out one wing and crooked it so that she could let it flop over Ivy's shoulders.

"Oh, no, no offense at all," she replied with a wave of her hand, "but, yes, Cheshire's... adopted, I suppose you could say," she glanced sideways at the woman, "er, I don't suppose you're familiar with that fact that Gaians seem to have a habit of finding children in strange places, are you?" If she wasn't then Chao felt it her duty to warn the woman.

If she was, well, then that probably explained Elshiva.

Cheshire shot Elshiva a slightly worried look as she stiffened, was he not supposed to have done that?

His worry evaporated as Elshiva picked up a laser gun. Grinning he let her her go and shuffled away a few feet to pick up another stray laser gun and returned to her side. Once there he bent low to the ground and, after silently motioning Elshiva to follow his lead, started started to shuffle as sneakily as he could towards the jungle-gym.

"Hm," Ivy nodded, "About that. I happen to have found Ellie in a waterlogged train in the basement of some...building." She scratched the back of her neck, not entirely sure if Chao would believe her. It was a very bizarre story, after all.

Elshiva nodded and squatted a bit, shuffling after Cheshire and holding up the hem of her dress with both full hands. It wouldn't do to ruin a perfectly good outfit, after all.

Chao stiffened. A waterlogged train? "... waterlogged train? In a basement, you say? Uh, did you happen to find a ticket with some strange message and or time on it a little while beforehand? And was there a grumpy man there? Perhaps wearing nothing on his bottom half but boxers?"

Cheshire paused when he reached the jungle gym and crouched down even further. He waited until Elshiva was next to him before whispering, "the snow dragons be up dere," he pointed silently towards two hulking (to a five year old) mounds which had piled atop the structure. "I think they are sleepin'...."

"Ah...yes," Ivy nodded, "...and...yes...although I can't quite remember what he was wearing. It was...pretty wet down there..." Was she in trouble?

Elshiva gasped and craned her neck. Yes, it wouldn't be hard at all to pretend that those lumps were dragons. Especially sleeping ones.

"Wha' do we do?" she asked, whispering as Cheshire had done.

Small world, Chao thought as she flushed in embarrassment and promptly slapped her palm gently into her face.

It was a moment before she was able to peek through her fingers and look sideways at Ivy. "Ah... you see... myself and a friend, we own that basement, actually," she said, though it came out slightly muffled. She pulled her hand up, raking it through her hair, "it seems like there's been a fair number of kids that that train has dropped off, Chesh is one of them as well, no idea why it happens, though. The squatter refuses to give me a straight answer whenever I ask."

"We gots t'a surprise them," Cheshire replied, voice still a whisper. He paused and looked around for a moment, trying to think up the best plan of attack.

After a moment he pointed with his laser gun at the the bars in front of them, "you go up this way, bu' dun go ups all the way ta'the top, 'kays? I'ma gonna sneak 'round that-a-way and climb up too. When I give the signal, we both charge n'attack."

"Oh," Ivy nodded, "It's not that I'm complaining, it's just...a...weird thing. To find a kid on a train. She seems normal enough." The second part of the statement was spoken offhandedly, as if the woman was trying to convince herself rather than inform Chao.

Elshiva nodded and began to climb the bars but, as instructed, not all the way. She waited, pensive, for Cheshire to get to his post.
