"I'm not sure. I'm not a really big animal like a wolf or a bear. More like...well, a dog."
Bijin shivered despite himself. He hated dogs, infact he was completely terrified of them. But he listened as Todd told his story, all the way through the bloody part. He took on a thoughtful look.
"Hmm, well, maybe you need to know the rest of it. Or more detail like me. I mean maybe he did something to you or your family since you are a lot older. Dreams don't always show things in order or even all the parts. Maybe between the time he sat in the chair and the time you cut him, he did something to you. Like hit you or something. Or even threatened you! There are a lot of reasons to kill a person, and not all of them are for a bad reason."
He smiled and patted Todd's shoulder.
"Don't worry. Your dream will show you your path. Just like mine will. But until then, we will make do with what we have and keep a happy face, ne?"
Yay for Mr. Perpetual Happiness.

"Dogs?" Todd liked dogs well enough. He didn't know any personally, but from what he'd seen they were big and friendly. Therefore, he almost mistook Bjin's shiver for fright at his own story.
Still, the explanation made him feel just a little bit better. "I guess. It is really hard to keep things in order. I suppose if he'd done something really bad, then it'd be okay..." He smiled weakly at the shoulder pat.
"If I've got a path... I just hope it's a little bit nicer then that. And I hope yours doesn't have you getting stuck in a cage. Dreams bloody suck."

"I like dreams. You can do anything in them. Things that you can't do in real life. Like fly or eat cake until it comes out of your nose! I like that dream."
He giggled a bit, and yes he sounded very girly. Todd was also getting some looks from the local boys about the 'girl' he was with.

"Cake out your nose sounds bloody painful," Todd snickered. "But I guess you're right. There are some good dreams. Like karateing my older brother until he stops bossin' me around."
He finally noticed the other boys, but it took him a second to realize what they were smiling about. In the time he'd known Bijin, he'd already forgotten about the boy's contradictory appearance.
"Bugger off, you wankers," he snarled at them, trying to look as furious and menacing as possible. It didn't work very well. Damn his deceptively cute features! Maybe he should throw something at them.
He did not take well to being laughed at.

Bijin giggled at the idea of Todd karateing his brother but then kinda blinked as the other boy suddenly got mad.
"Bugger off? Wankers? Anou....Todd-san. What does that mean?"
He was confused as to why Todd was suddenly yelling then he saw the other boys. He was use to be laughed at but they were having a good one today. No doubt about his skirt. He stuck his nose in the air and pulled Todd along.
"Just ignore them Todd-san. They are silly boys that have nothing better to do than make fun of people who are different."

"They're insults," Todd muttered, still glowering angrily at the others. "I dunno what they mean, but they're bad words, okay?" This was apparently another side effect of his strange origin, like the dreams- his way of pulling strange words in a strange dialect out of the air. Bijin seemed to do that too, he noticed, with his -sans and all.
"And I don't care if they're silly. They're still stupid. And they probably think you're my girlfriend or something."

"It doesn't matter what they think, Todd-san. And if it bothers you so much, I can take care of them."
He looked completely serios in this offer. As if he had already planned on making sure they didn't bother him again.
