The bones in Richard's begin to grind, pop and crack. His hands, all four of them went to his face in an attempt to hold in his face. It was no use, slowly, painfully his face stretched outwards, teeth lengthen and his tongue flattens becoming sandpaper like. The hand fall away and the head is thrown back, Richard roars in pain as his nasal passages reshape.

The roar is fills Dee's small duplex, an utterly inhuman sound.

Dee throws her hands up, pressing her palms against her ears in a futile attempt to deaden the roar, which rings painfully in her head. She squints and whimpers, shaking all over.

Oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap...

The changes seemed to stop. Richard's head fell back against the door way with a soft thump. His extend tongue extended just past his chin as he panted.

For a minute nothing happens. Richard thinks to himself that maybe its done, maybe that was it. But he knew he was kidding himself the pressure was still there, it was just shifting, moving downward toward his loins.

He looked up at Dee cowering across the room. He pulled his tongue inside his now blackened lips and swallowed. "Please... Don't watch." The tongue escaped, running itself along the new muzzle. His eyes pleading for something. He new what was about to happen, it filled him with terror and shame.

Dee blinked, having been both frightened and entranced by the changes in her latest acquaintence. She mutters an apology and blushes, turning her head and averting her eyes. Her breathing has slowed somewhat, but she still can't help but sneak sideways glances at the poor man.

It started slowly, a subtle shifting of flesh. A sob escaped Richard, a tear rolled down his left cheek, clinging to the new shape. He pressed his legs together as he felt something force its way UP! Inside of him! Burrowing with thousands of tiny claws into him! He, now quickly becoming she, let out a ear pericing shriek of pain. The voice cracked at the end, turning into a strangled scream. It continued. RIchard screamed until she had no more breath, mouth frozen open, she screamed with out sound. Her arched and she clawed at the ground, ripping into the carpeting.

The chest swelled beneath the shirt, the binding gave way, the breasts strained against the shirt, buttons began to pop off one by one. The shirt split open, the bandages fell down around her waist. The hips cracked and widened with a push.

Then it was over. Richard gasped for air "HEEEEEE!" And then toppled over on to his side, whimpering. The tentacles falling limp.

During her intermittent glances, Dee could see (and, to her disdain, HEAR) a bit of what was going on...but she was slow to believe it. But hey, why not? If Feral Labs could turn people into animals, surely messing with one's gender was 'simple' in comparison.

It didn't seem to be so 'simple' for poor Richard. Dee looked up with a small gasp, bringing a hand to her mouth. "Richard...? Oh mygod.." She quickly pulled the top blanket off her bed and rushed over to cover up the poor man's exposed flesh.

...wait. No... the poor woman.

No No No No No No No No.. It was the only thought echoing through Richard's brain. Dee's presence didn't even register as she curled herself into a fetal position and shook with quiet sobs.

It was almost impossible for Dee to sit back and simply watch while someone cried and/or was in pain. She couldn't help it--she was a bleeding-heart. It was her inability to detach herself in human affairs that was another reason she failed at becoming a professional in her field.

"Ssshhh...Richard. Easy there," Dee mumbled, kneeling down next to the newly-changed female while placing a light hand on the other islander's shoulder. Dee felt so utterly helpless...what on Earth would she be able to say that could possibly provide any sort of consolation in this sort of circumstance?

Richard flinched from the touch with a pathetic little mrowl and pulled herself tighter into a ball. "No Please. No more."

Dee winced, and tugged up the blanket instead. "No, no more... it's okay, you're safe. You're...in my duplex, and I won't let anyone hurt you." She looked around, desperate and scared. This was waaaaay out of her league but, then again, so was pretty much every else that had happened to her on the island.

Reluctantly Richard allowed herself to be pulled up. She shivered, pulled the blanket tight around herself. She felt voliated. It had happened, exactly as he had feared.

"Nobody's safe in the duplexes." She sniffled and made a feline whine. "They watch them, every where. Doesn't matter where you are." She hated herself for being so weak, to utterly crumple like this. Richard M. Harrison was suppose to be strong.

Dee nods and shushes gently. "But no one's hurting you now...you've survived it." She sighs and chews on a fingernail, nervous and worried. "Is there anyone I can call? Anyone you want to talk to?"

"No." There was nobody she wanted to tell about this. She wanted to go crawl into a hole and die. She didn't want anyone to know she... was a she. She looked down at her chest, parting the blanket to look. She gasped and pulled it shut. "How the hell am I suppose to hid those?" She shook her head in dismay. They were huge.

She looked over at the woman by her side and then looked away, face flushing. "I'm sorry you had to see this."

"You have nothing to apologize for," Dee replied firmly. "This isn't your fault, not by a long shot." Her voice softens. "Not to mention, chances were that I was to witness a change eventually."

Dee shakes her head. "I don't know if you *can* hide those, to be honest, but... uh..." Way to go, Dee. That won't make her feel any better. "You could try to bind them again, but it'd hurt. Uhh..(sigh). I'm the one who should be sorry. I can't imagine what this must be like... is there anything at all that I can do?"

Richard shifted and regretted it. Everything hurt, nothing wanted to move. She licked her lips again. It was a strange sensation, it moving it ways it couldn't before a few moments ago, how it felt against the base of his whiskers. "I.. I think I'll take some of that Tylenol if you have any."

She looked back down at her chest sourly. She was keeping them supported with her lower arms. They were sore and tender. Wretching her eyes eye and on to Dee.

"They arn't usually this bad. The changes I mean. I have a particularly strange serum." He sighed which faded into a purring noise.
