((Sorry, doll. I'm directing a show that shows next week so I've been uber busy with that and my boyfriend is leaving this weekend. So, between the two I haven't felt/had time to post.))

Very gently she placed her hand on his; the motion of the rubbing was very soothing for both her and the babies. They had settled for a moment now, prefering to stay still and not quite ready to come out yet. Hopefully it would stay that way for a while and not cause her too much more pain.

Of course that didn't happen. Another pain shot up her side, this one worse than the others and she wasn't able to keep it hidden. Fre gripped her side and doubled over in pain; it was almost unbearable and it caused tears to come to her eyes.

"Ow!" she screamed, holding her sides and trying to catch her breath.

The demonic instantly cursed under his breath. It was starting to really look like that the babies were going to come really soon. He lightly placed a hand on Fre's shoulder. Why in the name of the gaurdians did he have to be so anti-social and live miles away from anything intellegent? "I know that I read somewhere...that there was some sort of breathing excersize for this." He tilted his head back, blue eyes closing. Come on. He could do this. He could... Rakens head fell forwards again. The male had made an error of judgement. The angelic female should have been there reading with him. "Fre, fre love. I need you do to something, it should help a bit and is very important. I need you to close your eyes and breath in for four counts...and then breathe out for four counts." He had read somewhere that during this, sometimes the breathing became shallow and uneven, making less oxygen flow into the body which made it harder for her, and harder for the babies. "Watch me." He slowly inhaled "1...2...3...4..." He exhaled "1...2...3...4..." And repeated once.

OOC: ^___^; s'all good hun

((Ah! I owe you so much! I am your slave for the next few weeks! *bows profusely*))

Fre smiled to herself at how worried he was about her well-being. The babies turned again and she felt them kick at her sides again as they turned themselves upside down. It didn't help that every so often it felt like her body was trying to expel them by making her womb contract. Just the muscle spasms were enough to make her feel sick and break a sweat.

"Honey," she said, holding onto his arm, "it's really okay."

Slowly she tilted her head back and closed her eyes like he had told her to do. It still wasn't time yet, she knew that much, but she was in a lot of agony. As Raken counted she breathed along, though occasionally gasping as another spasm would hit her. Placing her hands on her belly she lifted her head to try and smile as they temporarily subsided.

"It's not time yet," she commented knowingly. "Just wait it out, it'll take some time."

OOC: OMG! It's almost been a MONTH since I last posted in here XDDD Thats kinda sad

BIC: "I am no doctor, and labor had been known to kill women. I don't want to lose you due to my on incompetance." He spoke softly, taking one of her hands for his sake as much as hers.

OOC: XD it'll take some time. The twins are already toddlers!

((I know, I know! crying Damn school life and friend drama!))

"You won't lose me," she reassured him, stroking his hand softly.

The contractions started again, this time the babies pushed against her in vain. There wasn't quite enough room for them to get out yet and so Fre pushed back, pulling her muscles in as hard as she could. It didn't do much since the contractions seemed to be back for good but it was enough to get them from squirming so much.

Overhead a full moon was rising and a cool wind blew through the trees. There wasn't a cloud in the sky that she could see, which was a sign of good fortune, but the the moon made her wary. It wasn't going to be an easy night.

With one hand in his she squeezed it and let go as the contractions came and went, "Hopefully this will be an easy birth."

The instant her water broke he would be there. Directions from books flittered past his mind at impossible speeds, sharp mind demanding the refresh of information NOW. He softly smiled at her, an attempt at comforting. "Fre...there is no such thing as an easy birth."

"Well, at the very least we can hope."

A smile returned to her face for a moment before the contractions hit again, this time harder. She winced in pain as they came and subsided. Finally, after what had seemed an eternity her water finally broke and she laid back exhausted but knowing that there was more to come.

The babies starting to squirm again, seeing an opportunity to be free but she just wasn't quite ready yet. The contractions came more frequently as the babies tried to push their way out and she could feel them struggling against everything. It seemed to her that they would be little handfuls once they were born.

It remained that way for several minutes, the contractions getting closer and closer together until it almost seemed like they just blended one into the next. Her brow was sweaty and her breath was shallow. Up above in the sky the moon had reached it's midpoint and something inside her triggered. Now was the right time.

As soon as she knew she felt a horrible pain as the first baby tried to push it's way through. "It's happening..." was all she could muster before tilting her head back and moaning in pain as the child tried to push it's way further out.

Raken couldn't help but utter a long stream of curses, going to her legs with a moistened towel. With a deep breath, his cold blue eyes went determind. This was the raken that wanted to be an elder. The one that had the determination to be something more. "Alright...you ready fre? Continue those breathing excersizes. When I give the cue, I need you to push as hard as you can. 1...2...3...Push!" And he was right there, seeing the faintest wisp of purple hair.

She pushed and pushed with everything she had. Fre never knew that having children would be this tiring or this painful. It felt like trying to squeeze a watermellon through a knot hole in wood. After several minutes the first child had popped out into Raken's arms.

The female could barely see her own child as she laid back down for a minute. She had hoped that would be all there was, just the one, but then she felt more kicking and pushing down. Once again she shut her eyes and braced herself for more pain.

"Raken," she tiredly whispered, "there's another one."

He wsa right there every step of the way, gently pulling free the baby and then cutting off the cord to the blue things stomach. Wait. What?! Raken quickly wrapped the girl and took another warm towel, getting ready again. Another one?! The demonic took a slow breath. "Alright...one...two...three...push."

Fre felt like she was going to pass out as she pushed once again, trying to get the last of the two free. This one was slightly harder, it was as if she didn't want to leave the womb at all. Finally, after what felt an eternity, the last of the babies emerged into the world. Exhausted, Fre fell back against the ground, happy to be done with it all.

Timidly she said, "Let me see them."

After all she wanted to see what she had carefully crafted for so long.

Smoothly he cut the second girl free, wrapping her up in the towel before moving back to fre's side with the two crying females. He was tired as well as the adrenaline left him. It had been a long night. "Fre...praise the gaurdians fre...identical twins...they're beautiful."

Ever so slowly she raised her head a tiny bit to witness the two beautiful babies. Her heart soared as she reached out and brushed a lock of hair from the one of her children's faces. That's right, they were her children, she was a mother now. A wave of joy spread through-out her body, seemingly renewing her strength as she reached out and took a child in her arms.

"What should we name them?" she asked as a smile came to her tired features.

Above them the moon shone high at it's midpoint, indicating that half the night had been spent already. Night twins, how odd, and yet how perfect. Fre hoped that the two would experience great things in their young lives.

Gently she touched the baby she held in her arms. Instantly as the warm touch hit the child's cheek it stopped crying. As if by magic a name came to mind, "Arlie." It was perfect and the child seemed to approve as she felt asleep.

Raken looked at the girl left in his arms, noticing her two different colored eyes. An odd defect of the discoloration with the genes but...oddly bueatiful. A rareity in the least. The crying babe soon quieted as she realized she would be givin nothing but a headache for her tears but a gentle smile from him. "Arlie...a nice name." The girl blinked up at him. "What do you think about...Dyas?"

Fre grinned up at Raken as the other baby was soothed in his arms. Perhaps, just like they were, both children were ready to sleep after all that hard work. She relished the silence, not knowing how long she would have to enjoy it this evening.

"Dyas," the name rolled off her tongue easily. "It's perfect."

Feeling lonely on the cool ground, Fre patted the earth beside her to see if Raken would sit next to her. She shivered slightly as well as the night-time breeze slithered across her cooling body. Thinking of the newborns first she held her hand out to Raken for help standing; they needed to be moved inside to be warm.

She tightly held Arlie to her, "We need to get inside. The kids might freeze out here."
