I don't drink. Two reasons:
1) Alcohol dries out my mouth, and for the most part, I always have a dry mouth that thirsts for something, and alcohol so doesn't work with me...
2) Last thing I need is to shift while drunk. I might get the idea that it wouldn't be such a bad idea to chain saw people or something =/. My hate of humanity might not be chained down if I were to be drunk...

I'm a social drinker, but I only like mixed drinks (usually with more sugar than alcohol), which are horribly expensive, so I don't drink more than one or two glasses a night. I go to a local gay bar once or twice a month on Thursday nights, since the DJ is the wife of the owner and she'll play anything you request, so I can hear Johnny Cash, the Cure, Al Green and Gorillaz and hip hop is almost never requested.
My favorite drinks there are the German Chocolate Cake martini and Amaretto Sour. If I'm eating out at like Chili's or something, I like Electric Blue Lemonades and Mudslides. At home, I drink Mike's Hard Lemonade and plum wine. I can't have more than half a glass of plum wine, though, because it's rather stronger than the rest of the stuff I drink. When I lived in China, it was rum and Coke, because that was the only mixed drink the bartenders there knew how to make!
But I've never been drunk. For one thing, with what I like, it'd cost me a fortune to drink that much. Plus, alcohol tends to send me to sleep before I ever get past the giggly stage. I keep the plum wine as a cure for insomnia.

I drink on occasion, but never even enough to get me buzzed. There are two reasons, really. One if my fathers, and the other is I don't really like the taste of alcohol. There have been very few drinks that I've tried that I actually liked. One of those that I do like is what my one friend calls a 'chick beer'. Seagrahms Tea Breeze.
The other think that I like is Kahula and cream (usually half and half), usually with more cream then Kahula.

t1ph4ni3 Ok, no offense to you non-drinkers, because I totally respect that you choose not to do it, but I like to drink. Hey, I was worried people would think I was the drunk for even bringing up the topic. Almost an entire first page of people going "er, I don't drink" made me kinda sweat under the hot lights, so to speak. Guess that's you and me, huh? And neither of us wake up with a hangover! 3nodding I don't drink too often, but when I do it ain't cheap. I'm convinced that the drinks at TGIFridays are so delicious because they're mainly chaser and ice. I had a bad Long Island Iced Tea there once. Got to the bottom and I hardly felt a thing. Whenever the guys go on a beer run I always ask for a little Parrot Bay Coconut Rum. It's relatively inexpensive for the quality, and it makes an amazing Rum & Coke -- especially with Vanilla Coke (do they even still make that?). I'm much more of a mixed drink girl (amaretto sours, 7&7 and mojitos are high on my list) or a shooter (lemon drops and B-52s for the win). Though I've been known to slam back an Irish Car Bomb or two. Saint Patty's is coming up! I've been experimenting with a lot of restaurants'/bars' house martinis. Right now I'm all about the lemon-drop martini, which is like a traditional lemon drop with Absolut raspberry vodka and a bit more fresh-squeezed lemon. I tried it at Britannia in Santa Monica this weekend.
Anyone here from the Southern California area?

Sedesla t1ph4ni3 Anyway...now that I sound like a drunkard! At least I have the distinct ability of having no hangover. All I am is sleepy from staying up all night! blaugh I'm the same way! I have never had a hangover, though I was totally expecting one when I got drunk for the first time. Everyone who had half as much as me was miserable the next day while I was happy and bouncy. No idea why, my dad has never had a hangover either. LOL! Apparently it's inheritable, because my mom doesn't get hangovers either! My dad and brother are those that say that they can feel the earth spinning, and it hurts after they wake up with a hangover! It must suck, but I have no idea what it feels like! Yeah, when i am out to get drunk, it usually ends up costing me alot, because I am one of those friendly drunks that bys drinks for people, over tips the bartender, will buy expensive shots, and will drink alot before the night is over! Speaking of shots...my favs are Lemon Drops, Kamikazis, Liquid Cocaine, Red-headed Sluts and Bob Marleys. Is there any liquor you can't drink? for me, it's tequila. *shudders* It taste nasty and makes me fight!

Now getting a headache WHILE you are drinking...that SUX!!!!!! I consider it a signal to stop for a while when I get a headache while drinking. Usually I just need ten minutes or so to lay down, and then I'm fine. One time my friends (or rather some people I kind of know who think they're my best friends) decided I was too drunk to know what was good for myself. So they locked my roommate out of the room and locked me in. For one thing I had him with me to make sure I was safe, considering it was a hotel party of 200+ people. Then they made me sit around and drink water even though I told them I was fine and only needed ten minutes. Honestly sometimes the people who aren't drunk can be just as annoying as the bad drunks. Maybe if I had known I didn't get hangovers I would have gotten drunk when I was younger. Actually not really, but sometimes I do think it would have been fun to go a little more wild than I did. Which was basically not at all.

The only tequila I can drink is Patron. And I can't drink vodka that's cheaper than $25 a handle. You really can taste quality!

Well, I smoke whether I am drinking or not...but I smoke more when I drink...talking on the phone is another problem! Well, I smoke whether I am drinking or not...but I smoke more when I drink...talking on the phone is another problem! I have learned that you should never, NEVER EVER, drink water the day after drinking! Either you get a worse hangover (if you get one) or you start feeling drunk again! LOL I feel more drunk if I drink water after a good night. But It does help with any hang overs I might get or have. I normally stick to one drink that I know I can handle when I'm out with friends and that's a Jack n Coke. I drink those all night. Also... it doesn't give me a hangover. I wake up drunk still but sober... if that makes any sense... take a hot shower then relax the rest of the day and let the whicked buzz wear off lol

Ugh... pardon my crudeness, but... liquor shits suck! lol Hot showers feel good on my back. I always wake up to my kidneys trying to kick the hell out of me from the inside... along with my liver and any other body part that might have gotten hurt in the process of inebriation. lol

Drinking...maybe once a week if that...depends on what's going on and who I am with.
But this month is hitting me hard. My youngest brother just turned 21 on the 1st. A very good friend of mine SagandoMirasta (gaia name) turns 21 on the 10th and I promised her we would go out Sat. (10th) and the next day.
But over all what I drink depends on where I'm at. If I'm at The Sittin' Bull (little bar about a half an hour from where I live) I drink Malibo and Pineapple juice. If I'm at the Brendon's (local pool hall) I drink Amaretto Sour. If I'm with a few of my friends at one of their places we tend to drink Vodka and RedBulls.
I can drink beer, but I hoenstly prefer not to.
