"Sarcasm." He nodded and turned his head as she walked around him. "Emphasis on the fact that boredom is in fact not delightful and therefor it makes the point come across better" Or at least it did when people actually bothered to notice the sarcasm.

He could do better. "Perhaps i was not just a weakling but an abomination. Perhaps my mother was a unicorn who was forced upon by a Kalona and when i was born my father decided i was not worthy to be called either race so he tore my horn and wings from my head?"

"Well, the half-breed concept would explain the tail, wouldn't it? And you really are an abomination, so you know, I think that might just be the best possible history for you. I vote we go with the unicorn kalona b*****d, and then we've got the best of all possible worlds!"

A delightfil scenario, and what's more it had actually killed at least five minutes. Two birds with one stone, even. But now, sadly, that amusement was gone...

"So, Abominable b*****d, what brings you out to this lovely bit of natural blandness?" By this, she means their surroundings, which she indicated with her head as she spoke. There had to be some reason, after all, since why would anyone voluntarily put themselves out here in all this NOTHING?

He could live with a half Kalona half Unicorn b*****d child story. At least it made for interesting conversation for at least five minuets. It probably wouldn't work with may people since most seemed disinclined to listen to his stories but you never knew.

"The blandness happens to have some of the best eats around." He turned his head and pointed toward a stand of trees. "Delicious fruits and wonderful flowers. Though the lack of dinner companions makes it slightly lacking in the entertainment department"

Following Nuka's gaze, Mardi took note for the first time of the trees in question, and a wide smile immeadaitly crossed her face. Food! Tasty looking food at that, a nice change of pace from the grass she'd been munching on for far too long. Mmm, a nice crisp apple sounded so delicious right now...

"Well, you talked me into it, Abominable b*****d; let's go have lunch!" Grinning, she immeadiately started off towards the fruit trees in question, practically salivating at the concept of a real meal. How long had it been since she'd had fruit? Too long, of course.

No, this was defintely proving to be a decent encounter.

"Lunch sounds like a good idea." Since he'd been eating lunch anyway getting to go back to his meal would be good. The apples were just finishing up their growing for the season so they were still sweet and fresh and he wanted another one.

It was easier to eat them here than to wait and hope that the two legger had extras after the foals got into them. "So, not that we've discussed where i came from how about we talk about where you're from."
PostPosted: Sun Feb 25, 2007 6:12 pm

"Why?" This in reference to the question about her backstory; after all, when there was food handy you really shouldn't sweat the little things in life. "I'm pretty sure that we've been through this once, after all...so why don't you take a stab at it?"

This was spoken with a backward glance and a grin at the stallion as she trotted up to the trees, deftly snagging an apple from one of the lower branches. "Buh firth, lunth."

"I'd be horrible at that considering you look like you popped out of some party somewhere. Sure you weren't created from the Natives having a little party and sticking too many decorations together?"

He hadn't seen the two leggers make anything decoration wise that were that were as colorful as her but one never knew.

Mardi was all but beaming as she crunched down on the apple, closing her eyes in pleasure as she devoured the firm fruit. Licking at her lips, she eyed the remaining apples thoughtfully, deciding that taking another wouldn't be amiss; after all, there were plenty there.

While deciding which one to take next though, she gave Nuka an amused grin. Party decoration? That had potential. But she could up it. "What, you seriously think I'm somthing that insignificant? As a matter of fact, I'm the incarnation of a native God. Why else would I be so bright? I'm the God of the Sun, as a matter of fact."

Winking, she nabbed another apple and crunched down on it as well. "An thesh applesh are grrt."

"No no that can't be it. If you were the Goddess of the Sun then you wouldn't have that mask marking or that hair. You'd be completely fiery and gold." He shook his head and crunched half an apple off the tree and chewed it before continuing. "I would rather say you are the Goddess of Celebration and have come down to make sure that us poor lonely mortals are having fun and not living dull boring lives"
PostPosted: Sun Feb 25, 2007 6:47 pm

"That has potential too. This place does need celebration, after all; hell, it needs just about anything. I don't think that I've ever been anywhere more dull."

And that was true. Or at least mostly true; she'd been in this region for nearly a week, and Nuka was the first other Soquili she'd so much as seen. Definitely not a good place for a good time, that was certain. "Obviously I'll have my work cut out for me, eh?"

"If you didn't have your work cut out for you then there wouldn't have been any reason for you to come down here in the first place." His tail swished behind him as he chomped the other half of the apple he'd started eating.

He could have also said that maybe she had come down to entertain him for the time being but he figured that would get him a hoof to the face or something so he left that out of everything.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 25, 2007 7:13 pm

"That, of course, is assuming I had a purpose in coming here. Maybe I just wanted a little rest and relaxation after all the headaches of being a Goddess. It's awfully busy up there, after all."

This was said with a perfectly straight face as she carefully selected another apple, her third of the day. "It would really make sense, wouldn't you say? For one as used to chaos as me to come here to this...dull and inspired little place would sure be a rest!"

In the bad sort of way, of course.

"If you'd come down here for than then you wouldn't be complaining about how there was nothing to do and no one around." He nodded as he looked at her. If you were going to make up stories then they had to make sense too.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 26, 2007 9:57 am

"Or maybe that complaining was merely a clever ploy to throw off any potential stalkers and/or would be Godhunters. Seems awfully silly to ignore something as obvious as defensive measures, wouldn't you say, Nuka?"

He just had to have the last word, didn't he? Well, tough luck for him, because she felt that way herself. Though she had to hand it to him, he was the most stimulating conversation partner she'd had in ages, dull coat aside.

Licking absently at the apple juice on her lips, she glanced around at the fruit trees yet again, another question coming to mind. "Do you live here, or is this just a watering hole for you?" After all, he seemed to be very at home here, enough to be able to find some out of season fruit trees!

"It seems a little far to go for defense because you admitted you were a Goddess so that ploy wouldn't work. Questions arise when you start trying to hide things." You had to keep lies simple or you'd start forgetting what it was that you'd said and getting caught.

He turned his head and looked toward the fiver. "No. I just come here because i know of the trees and there's better picking here than where others run around." He belonged to a two legger technically and 'lived' with him even though he didn't stay around the Natives home all that often.
