"'Kay," Kaizen said and followed out the door. Upon feeling the chilling blast, Kaizen's eyes immediately glowed red as be began heating himself to a comfortable temperature. "I think the supply cabin would be around the back or something. That's where I'd put it. We can grab a board and you can switch with your sister when we catch up to them. Question is, which slop did they go to?"

"Eh! Sorry miss!" Dinin exclaimed nervously as he immediately stopped moving around and stood rigidly still until he heard her next question. "Oh, that's easy! t's slightly tricky if you don't want to immediately go down the slope though. Just copy what I do!" Dinin yelled as he jumped off the lift. He hit the snow vertically, nose first, and slid down a few feet before sliding horizontally to a stop.

VJ wrinkled her nose, and then hopped off the ski lift, landed straight, but overspun and when she went horizontal, ending up falling straight onto her bottom. But with fluid grace. She frowned and just looked to Dinin. "Okay.. now what?" for the most part, she seemed for than content to ignore Keila.

Ash looked around and then froze, slowly turning to Kaizen as he mentioned 'sister'. "Kaizen." she said carefully. "VJ is not my sister. We aren't related in any way.." she trailed off, her eyebrows creased. It was confusing, really. Did they seem like family? But their skin tones were so different, for starters! VJ's skin was a chocolatey brown, while her own was.. just plain caucasian. She blinked for a moment, and then shrugged the comment off. "Whatever. Let's find that--" she cut herself, looking to a wooden-looking small building with a person inside, and a lot of skis and snowboards and intertubes inside as well. The person outside of it had said, 'pair of skis, please'. "Ta daa." Asmaria said softly, adjusting the goggles she'd placed over her head. "Found it.." she whipped out her card and waited behind the person in line.

Keila watched two come up and jump off the ski lift with mild interest, remembering how she'd come down off it-- face first. She recognized the voice of the boy who wasn't much younger than herself, and smiled. "So I wasn't going insane after all..." she realized, seeing the older teen trip and fall, albeit gracefully, into a sitting position in the snow.

She looked between Dinin and then VJ before sighing. "Hi." She offered simply, looking up at the sky with a blush. Despite all the years of meeting people, when off on her own, she often got shy and more or less embarrassed. Biting her lip, she looked between the two and settled her eyes on the guy, smiling softly. "Um.. This is kinda my first time, too. Going down a real slope, I mean." she stood up and rested her board so she wouldn't start down the hill accidentally. "S-So mind if I join you two?" Keila stammered nervously.

"Oh, I'm sorry. You two just seemed like sisters is all." Kaizen blushed slightly from nervousness. How relieved he was that he was wearing a dickie at the moment! He looked over to the shack and shrugged staring at the person who had gotten the pair of skis for a few seconds before running up to stand next to Ash.

Dinin stiffled a laugh when VJ landed on her bottom. He looked over to the new girl who had spoken and waved. "Hello there! If it's alright with her you can join us! I've got no objections. By the way, I'm Dinin!" He said and held out a hand to the new girl.

Asmaria got her a rental snowboard and looked it over critically for a long moment before she accepted it with a nod and looked towards the three different ski lifts just around them. "Okay.. I really don't know what to do. Which one could they have gone up? I mean.. VJ doesn't have a cell phone.. so.." she sighed and scratched at her head, music still thumping in the background. She flicked it to the next song, a rock song, to help her think better.

Disdainfully, she watched Keila's movements. She reminded her so much of Asmaria at the moment. Fine. I'll just go without them, then. Forward means go, sideways means stop. I think I'll be just fine. "I don't care." she sat up and twisted her board so it went straight and started down the hill, standing up on the way and wobbling only once as she put her arms out to steady herself and swerved lightly back and forth to test her turning skills. I've got this. I've got this. she reasoned with herself and didn't look back. The only reason she'd come up with Dinin anyway was because he'd been there and known about snowboarding. She knew how to start, and how to stop, so she was fine as far as she was concerned.

Keila heard a whisper in the back of her head, and she knew it almost instantly to be the other girl's voice. She seemed to not care the least about what her and Dinin were doing and she frowned, looking after her as she started down the hill. "It's nice to meet you Dinin. My name's Keila. Let's go show her a thing or two about snowboarding , eh?" she smiled to him and jumped so she started going down, and waved her arms around, not wanting to let herself be intimidated by the seemingly cold other girl.

"Whaaa-whoa..." she waved her arms again, starting to lose her balance, but caught herself and half-turned back to Dinin. "Come on, you slowpoke!" she whooped, laughing at herself. Her hair that was left from being under her black beanie flipped around, catching the sunlight to look as brown as dirt. She started to speed up, and her eyes widened. Oh, god... oh, god... what do I do, what do I do?!!

"Oh I already know this is going to be funny..." Dinin mumbled. He grinned at the fact of being able to show off without being equally matched in skill by his brother. He jumped in the air, twisted his body to do five hundred fourty degree turn while doing a front flip at the same time. He landed vertically and crouch immediately to absorb the shock and send him flying down the hill at the fastest possible speed for that particular take off.

Too cought up in his own skilled performance, Dinin nearly slammed into a thick pine tree. He veered off slightly, jumped up, and grabbed a thick limb, then flipped himself backwards, still holding onto the ling before flinging himself off. After a few seconds he easilly passed by Keila, and then VJ a few seconds afterwards. "Catch me if you can!!" Dinin yelled at the top of his lungs as he crouched even lower to speed up even more.

(( You posted in the General about Kaizen's post.. so post here about it, Teddy! XD ))

VJ blinked the air from her eyes, and then as she became familiar with how to move, smiled widely. It didn't seem like snowboarding was so bad after all. But then Dinin got in front of her, and her eyes widened a little. She'd left him far behind, how'd he get past her?!

That doesn't matter. Just get back up front. With her grin turning to a competitive one, she crouched and placed her hands by her side, ready to support her if need be. A blast of wind came from behind, and she sped up considerably, but it didn't affect her balance since she was in a crouch, and in a fairly aerodynamic position. She started to catch up with him, and saw a small hill she could jump off of. Like skateboarding, she told herself as she veered to the right and towards it. She pushed up and off the snow and flew up, having only the time to make a three-sixty spin before she landed, having not gotten as she'd liked in the air. Now standing, she went to the left, her board having landed cockeye.

But she was closer to Dinin, that was all that mattered. Come on, little boy.. let's play! she chanted to herself as she crouched a little to speed up.

Dinin grinned eagerly as VJ started to catch up. She's a fast learner it seems. However, I a natural born snowboarder and I have experience with these slopes. There's no way she's going to win! Dinin flung himself off of a small hill and twisted himself into a tight seven-twenty. As he came down, he went withing himself and summoned his feral rage and used it on his arms. He twisted himself so that he came down head first, dug his newly aquired claws into the snow until he found a firm hold, and flung himself as hard as he could, causing him to go, quite litterally in fact, flying through the air.

As Dinin came down, he was well over fifty feet in the lead, nearly at twenty meters, though he was no fool. He had witnessed close-up people coming from nearly fifty meters behind and taking a win, so he didn't grow overly confident. He was quite relieved to be far up in front however.

Kaizen followed Ash's gaze to the ski lifts and scratched his thin, pondering where his brother and VJ could possibly have gone. After a few minutes of pondering, it hit him like a sledge hammer. "You know Ash, it snowed last night and not very many people have come out today so far, only four by my cound, not including us. Also, there is only one set of double tracks. One set of prints smaller than the other, possibly the size of a twelve year old and they're headed towards the first and hardest slope. Only my brother is so foolish as to do that slope even if he is good enough for it."

Not waiting for Ash, Kaizen walked over to the ski lift and hopped onto the first lift that came by. "You coming or what?" Kaizen called in a slightly annoyed tone to Ash. While waiting for the lift to go to the top, Kaizen strapped on his snowboard, then crossed his arms over his chest.

Keila knew she was screwed. With how far the two were away? And how little experience she had? Oh, she was screwed big time. As she saw a tree in front of her, her eyes widened and she swerved, arms covering her face. So dead, so screwed, stupid snowboarding!! As she got out of the way of the pine tree, she fell to the side and tumbled down the hill, unable to see anything other than white and green as she went. Frantically, she reached her mind out and invaded Dinin's forcefully, calling his name into it. She rolled and twisted in odd angles, not seeming to stop. Moving her feet so she might have gotten up, she put herself back upright somehow.

But Karma is a nasty little bugger.

Keila had righted herself only right before a snow ramp. She soared off of it and easily lost her balance in the air as she flailed in confusion, looking around. She finally started to put her board in a good landing position when she did land, had turned her feet all caddycorner, and fell, going fast. But at least she was sliding this time. Despite that, she was still freaking out. Oh my god.. oh my god.. Dinin, help! she called to him and looked up as a tree came up on her fast. Eyes widened, she rolled over, but her hand cracked against the tree loudly. That's going to hurt in about ten seconds.

She waited as she slowed from her slight collision with the tree and sat up, making herself properly stop. Keila ripped the glove off her right hand with her teeth and groaned. Her ring finger was bent in the opposite direction, while her middle was bent in the wrong direction as well, just in not such an extreme angle. "Ow... Ow, ow..."

And thus, the pain hit her. No pun intended.

VJ continued down the slope, swerving more and more easily around the trees. With a grin, she started up towards Dinin slowly, but cotninued to catch up. From fifty, to fourty-five... fourty-two.. fourty.. she pushed herself faster creating wind, which snowdrifted around in the air after she passed through it. Going past one of Dinin's trails, she used it and spun in a one-eighty, putting her feet in a more comfortable position.

She heard someone after a moment, and then blinked, slowing. Someone was going 'ow'.. but it was from further up.. probably amplified by the mountain itself. It didn't take two and two even to put together that it was probably Keila. VJ didn't even sigh; If she was hurt, it was a much different matter than whether she liked the girl or not. "Hey, Dinin.. you hear that?" she said in a regular voice, knowing he'd hear her.

[Yuki's gonna warm her up! =o]

Yuki gave a small nod as he walked out of the dorm buildings and towards the ski area, of course after asking a teacher how to get there, he wasn't the type to not ask, despite what that stupid myth said about directions and men. He could tell when he was getting close, because it was starting to get even colder. He wondered if it was magic that kept it snowy all year round, or if it was just the regular things that normal people did? He didn't really care though and made his way to the shack that rented equipment, glancing for a moment at the lodge. He ordered some black and plain gear for himself, and let her pick out hers and paid for both of them, then walked over to the ski ride, soon managing to get on.

[ok. xDD They should get lost or something. >>]

Harumi followed along with him, her shoes probably not the best for snow. They were a little tattered even, but all that she had. She just hoped Yuki wouldn't question her clothing. But he hadn't so far, much to her relief. She focused upon walking, and taking in their surroundings. Her large, bright red eyes peered around at everything, and continued doing so as they reached the equipment shop. She picked out a pair of black and white skiis, nice and simple, and awkwardly put them on before following Yuki towards the skii lift. She was nervous at first about getting on the little swing like thing, but when she managed, she was beaming happily again. "This is so cool!" she cried, leaning over the edge as she watched the ground dropping away and the top of the mountain coming closer.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 04, 2007 5:18 pm

Yuki just grinned as he started to mess with the swing a little bit, he was careful to not make her fall off or anything though, and stopped after a minute. He sat in silence, till they reached the top part of everything, after a second they would drop down and be at the bottom. However...that part never happened, and they just physically stopped, it took a moment for it to sink in but then he looked around behind them and saw that they were no longer moving. "Huh...that's not good" he said calmly, never one to really freak out, but they were pretty high up, they would probley have to wait a bit too because there were only a few people around today. He shrugged his shoulders though and turned over to look at her, she looked...hey! She wasn't wearing anything warm! What was up with that? Quickly he stripped himself of his jacket, pulled it around her, and fixed postions so that her legs were no longer dangling and she was firmly hugged into him.

Harumi continued leaning pretty far over the side, but she had one hand firmly gripping the side, so she'd be fine. Her legs were swinging absently and it was lucky her skiis didn't fall right off her feet. Then she suddenly noticed the ground had stopped moving farther away, and wasn't moving closer either. It was stuck. A moment later, she realized they were the ones stuck. She froze, then slowly looked at Yuki, her large eyes wide. But his calm reaction to the situation kept her calm as well, and she just laughed and nodded her head. "More time for sight seeing!" she grinned.

But, it was starting to get cold, especially just sitting up here where the wind could easily get them. Her sweatshirt was very thin and worn, the black actually fading into an orange-brown in some places. She hid her hands inside the sleeves, and folded her arms across her chest. The jeans were keeping her legs warm... kind of. Then she felt something suddenly cover her. She blinked, saw the jacket, and then stared at Yuki. "Why are-" she began, cutting off suddenly when he tugged her against himself. She blinked several times in confusion. What was.. he doing? But instead of pulling away, she simply squeezed her eyes shut and buried her face against him. Her nose was cold..
