HHM is about the only time that you'll find a use for a Jeigan. So, Marcus gets my vote.

Nobody should vote Seth, you can beat that game with any single character, just because he has good stats compared to the others, doesn't make him more useful. Besides, he's stuck with two weapons, which is terrible.

Oh, and Lloyd_The_White_Wolf, if you actually participated in FE debates or did some research. You might see that Marcus is generally considered the third most useful unit in The Blazing Sword, behind Oswin and Hector. Just because his stats suck doesn't mean anything. If you can't find a use for him, you are probably a bad tactician, and I bet a thousand dollars you have S ranked HHM. The only mode in which this matters, because all other modes anyone can beat with whatever team they choose.

I have to agree with some people they really all suck in my opinion because if you use them too often the get 3 levels when your other team members could of had about nine maybe ten in my research.

If I had to chose i must say seth he was the best that seemed to me. I still say that they shouldn't have be plaldins only because the stats weren't that good and if they were claviers like Forde or Kent they could probably be alot better. razz

I'm gonna have to say Seth because I found he was most useful throughout the entire game. Towards the end Marcus wasn't as strong as my other characters and it really showed especially in the final chapter and Titania....well she was about the same only I stopped using her after I made Kieran a paladin.

I'm gonna say Titania because she's slightly less cliche than the others. But thanks to my horrible first ever FE profile I hate jeigans. I unequip their weapons and use them as meatshields and village savers.

Marcus is by far the most useful, but that doesn't make him statistically superior to the other two Paladins presented in the argument. Stats don't matter- the inquiry presented is usefulness. In this light, Marcus is the clear winner.

In Sacred Stones, you never really need to use Seth- he's just a supportive unit that can carry away units if you've done something stupid. Boooring.

Same with Titania. Your units in FE9 are good enough in the beginning where you can ditch Titania immediately and leave her crying in the dust.

Marcus, however, is essential in Hector Hard Mode- from holding his own as he rescues far away villages to obtaining Priscilla (which is virtually impossible without him), he's useful up until your characters begin to gain their first few levels and establish themselves as strong units. While you won't use him at the end of the game, his usefulness in the first part of Hector Hard Mode is clear.

Thus, Marcus wins. 3nodding

Personally, I dislike paladins. Seth wasn't very useful in the later chapters of FE8, and I didn't really like Marcus. So even though I've never played FE9, I'll have to go with Titania.

Seth actually has decent stats when you level him up to 20.

Titania has also good stats, so I use her.

Marcus is poop. He sucks because his stat growths really really really suck.

Pallys make very good meat shields btw.

I'm stuck between Titania and Seth, I'm afraid I TRULY detest Marcus with a passion. I mean, at least Seth (despite what everyone said, he actually had good growth stats for me even at the end and was therefore, useful in my book). Titania, like everyone else tank, but sometimes if I need an axe user like lets say, hard mode and I haven't exaclty recruited Kieran yet, then yes, I will use her despite her being a weak paladin.

Edit: Correction, not a weak paladin weakling kinda of thing, jsut the normal starter paladin weak I mean X.x;;;;

I share most seasoned players morbid hatred for the Pre-Uped units in general, but in my opinion Seth is probably the best. Unlike most like Jeigan and Marcus who are absolutely horrid and only useful as cannon-fodder, he actually has decent growths like previously stated. I always thougth Seth was more like a slower(growth-wise) Cavalier than a full-fledged Paladin. And Titania is just average, but I never used her that much except in the case of rescuing people and weakening bosses
