I'm having to write this in a notebook, I'm not entirely sure where the diary I had started for Saffron has gone to! I think that Saffron took it away to stop me writing 'my silly words' about him as he put it. It's probably in his secret 'hiding place' that he has yet to show me, but I cant get him to admit to it. I did question Rhiannon but she said she hadnt seen it.

Diary,
He he! I moved this biiiig book. It took ages and ages, tugging and pushing but I managed to get it out of the house. It got really dirty on the covery-thing when I dragged it across the garden but I think the mud will come off.
Sayuri-lady has been all excited lately. The Sati-girl is engaged, to the the furry wolf creature, Steel or Silver or whatever his weird name is. Engaged means they will get married soon. I'm not sure what married means as my programmes were on and Sayuri-lady kind of became this chattery thing noise in the background.
I dont like it now. Its getting cold. Sayuri-lady says its 'the turn of the seasons' and it always happens but its cold and the sun doesnt make me as warm like it did before.Sometimes it dont even show! It gets stuck behind grey grey clouds and it makes me feel down. So I watch my shows, and then make cunning plans!!

Saffron has yet to tell me where he has hidden the diary I was writing about him in. He has however started to spend more time indoors again, so I believe that where ever he is hiding it has moved from outside to in. This is purely because of the extreme weather change we have had. Sunny days have had to make way for blustery, downpours. After the first time when he came in soaked from head to toe and had to have a warm bath in a fruit bowl, and a small cup of honey and lemon to soothe his chills I've advised him not to go outside when its a bad day. Not entirly sure if he paid me any mind though.

Saffron became elusive lately - again. I wasnt sure what he was up to, and I still havent found where it is that he has hidden the diary. I got him involved in the Hallowe'en festivities on our return from our short break away. I have also yet to tell him about mine and David's wedding whilst we were away. I'm not sure how he would take not being involved in something so important. Rhiannon was told, and then promptly forget about it a while later - bless childrens small attention span. I have yet to tell Sati, I think she will be the most upset. But I shall tell her that it was right, and romantic, and besides - I want to spend more attention on my daughters wedding then my own. I feel like I am too old for a big ceremony in anything that I do.
Anyway - as I said he did join in with the trick or treating festivities, he dressed up as a surf duuuude, not entirely sure where he got the tiny wetsuit made, but he wore that sometimes, and other times some little brightly coloured bermuda shorts. When I carved pumpkins he took the seeds - I think he planted them around the garden.

Diary,
I might have some new friends soon! I think. After all dont flowers come from seed? I planted the seed from the big round, orangey things. What they called? Pumykins or something. So maybe.
I moved the diary again. The tree was too out in open, and the pages were all crinkly from the rain. Its under the house now..shhh. I found a space where the mud dips down and there is a bit under it that is all dry, and pretty warm to.

Saffron adores Sati right now. My darling daughter grew into this amazing warrioress youth. And now Saffron has virtually fallen in love with her! Well I'm not sure if he is mooning over her armour more, or her boundless cascade of hair. I had to untangle him from it when she came visiting. Maybe its a good thing that he has someone flesh and blood to admire. His 'room' (the shelf where his bed and other things are), has now been papered with faery pin-ups. A little worrying. But, I do have to remind myself that despite his diminuitive size he is an adult - not that you can tell that all the time! He's been prodding me again to buy some supplies for him for his 'surfing' apparel. So I should do that now really before I forget. Otherwise he might put pepper in my face powder again. I spent the whole day sneezing and he spent the day laughing at me sneezing. He lost his television privelages for that little trick!

Diary,
What is wrong with having pretty ladies on your walls? I dont see why I shouldnt like to look at the pretty faeries. I mean I'm like a faerie right?
The big Sati has such lovely hair now! I wish I had her hair. I could live in her hair there is so much of it! I tried to but Sayuri-lady took me out of it. Meanie.
She still has not found the diary-book! I hid it real well. I only should write in it. But I need proper pen - not cut biro. I go inside now and poke Sayuri-lady with a twig until she buys me stuff! Thats my cunning plan..

Hikari was lounging in the window, soaking up what sunlight she could get on such a day. Her eyes where closed, and she had a small lounge chair she was sitting in.

Saffron fluttered over to the window, squinting in the wintery sunlight.
'Hi Hikari,' he said quietly, giving his hair a little flick to make sure it was just so.

Opening one eye, Hikari looked at Saffron. "Hello there yourself handsome. Come to join me in soaking up some rays? Not as good as sunbathing in the summer or at the beach of course, but we have to make do with whatever we can get, ne?"

He nodded;
'Yeah I hate this 'winter' thing.' he shivered his wings, stretching them in the sun as he sat down near her. He gave her sidelong glances, as he looked out the window. She was as pretty as he remembered - and flesh and blood unlike the pictures of faery women he had.

Hikari smiled inwards as she caught the glance, remembering the pictures of the fairies that Saffron had on his walls. Giving her most fetching smile, she sat up and streached, preening a little in her mind. "Yeah, winter can be a major drag. If I could just find a nerdy feien to help me with my surfing idea." At this point Hikari feigned a little pout, trying to work her charms on Saffron.

He blushed, rustling his wings and looking at his hands as she stretched. He looked at her again;
'Surfing? You like that too?' he exclaimed. And here he thought she was just a pretty face! She liked what he liked. He swelled with optimism - maybe they would get along better then he thought.

Hikari gave a little twitter of a giggle. "I love surfing. Its just the ocean is too dangerous for us little feien, so I got an idea to find one of the, errrm, nerdy feien and charm them into making some sort of contraption to make waves in an indoor pool of water of sorts, and build a small private indoor beach, with sun lamps and stuff, so winter can't stop me from enjoying my beach time."

He listened.
'You should try getting your human-person to get a big blowy thing and put it near a trough of water. It kind of works. You get blown away if you open your wings though.' he grinned.

"Oh, but if i do that, then the wind will blow my hair around, and make it all messy and tangled, and then I would have to spend a lot of time fixing it and making it perfect again." Hikari pouts, looking up at Saffron. "And you wouldn't want that to happen, would you?"

'I erm,' he fidgeted. He wasnt used to the girls being forward! He was supposed to charm them with flying loops and his silly little tricks.
'I err think you like nice whatever your hair is like.'
