"Gossip, Madame Aishwarya, does not become anyone." He laughed, giving his head a light toss as he did so. "That is why we call it an exchange of information and keep it limited strictly to facts."
Back to the conversation about Crowley he took a deep breath, letting it loose slowly. "Our relationship is... Complicated. I believe he would lend me assistance if it was in his best intrests to do so." He would like to think that the other stallion would come to his aide no matter what but such fantasies were better left for daydreamers and those with far too much time on their hands.

Aishwarya gave him an elegant nod, blushing a little at his formal way of addressing her.
'I see..a loophole? Cunning.'
'I would be jealous if I were of a mind to be. I have no close friends. And complicated? It makes things more interesting. I think you would know.' she stated the last word firmly.
'If his and your tie wasnt really a friendship. You'll have to introduce me at some point? An impartial eye..'
She glanced at him again.
'Speaking of all things complicated do you have any other ties here? Personal I know so feel free not to answer me.' she smiled at Aziraphale.

"Jealousy becomes a lady no more than gossip does." He smiled, letting his tail give a soft flicker behind him. He pondered on her words for a moment. Could two who had been cast into the world as 'enemies' consider each other friends?
"Should he and I cross paths again I shall be certain to let him know that you wish to make his aquaintance yourself." He would also kindly remind Crowley to mind his tongue. "I have no other ties here. At least, not that I have discovered. Of course, if the demon-kind are now intereacting with others I wonder..."

'Maybe a mild envy then? It doesnt worry me enough that I don't have a thousand ties. Sometimes I have hope that I will find a true friend, but until then it's just good to make new acquaintances.'
Aishwarya kicked at the ground a little, shifting her position into a more comfortable stance.
'I would appreciate that, thank you.'
She regarded him thoughtfully.
'I meant a relationship of a more romantic, or familial kind.' she said, explaining her previous question properly.
'The Kalona? They have been, and probably always will be among us I suppose.'

"Romance?" He cleared his throat, trying to hide whatever amount of embarrassment he might have felt at being asked such a question. "No, Madame Aishwarya. No romance for me." He laughed, shifting slightly on his hooves. No family either... At least, not to my knowledge. Most of those I could consider immediate family are still up on the mountain."
He paused once more. "They have? I hadn't been informed of that. Heavens, I must seem like a fool. Pardon my ignorance, Madame."

'Well I only know what I was told, even if I dont intend on staying in a place for a long time, I make it a habit to know the lay of the land so to speak.'
Aishwarya chuckled softly;
'I'm sure that will not be a problem for you. You have looks, wit and manners. I feel sure that you could find companionship easily if you went looking for it.'
She shook her head.
'Why would I think that? You said yourself you are new to these parts, and I didnt know myself until I asked about the one I saw near the Village.'

"New to these parts, but not new to this world. I was brought up on the teachings that those of angelic or demonic natures were not to interfere with the lives of others." Were he able to shrug he would have. Instead, he simply shook his head. "I was simply unaware of how much times have changed."
Sounding like an aged stallion instead of the relatively young male that he appeared to be was one of the things that Aziraphale did best. Especially in instances such as these. "It seems as if you have much in common with my not-quite-friend as far as believing in my abilities to procure attatchments goes. Although, I am certain that I could find companionship of a non-romantic nature just as easily, Madame." He laughed, trying to brush it all off as silliness... And bother to the warmth flooding his face.

'I dont think you can stop anyone from doing anything. What happens, will happen.'
Aishwarya wondered where Aziraphale had been bought up. Those were pretty heavy teachings, well specific teachings at any rate.
'I do? If your friend is your opposite...and he and I are thinking in common, then maybe we are both right. Dont you think?' she looked a little slyly at him. He seemed a tiny bit awkward. Which meant that he thought about relationships himself, and simply found it embarrassing.
'Yes, you will make friends easily. I'd say you have made one today. I like you at any rate Sir Aziraphale.'
She looked at him and swished her tail, exuding a peaceful joy.

Wonderful! He had met and befriended a mare. Perhaps now Crowley would leave him alone with all of his nonsense about never getting out or enjoying himself. He found this conversation wonderfully pleasant.
As for relationships... It wasn't the relationship that he found awkward. It was the various levels that one tried to break relationships into and certain thoughts that simply made him shy away with good reason. He could do just fine with friendships. Perfectly fine.
"Only that one thought of yours is in common. I should be afraid of what sort of mare you might be if all of your thoughs were along the same line as his." He laughed once more, trying to lighten his mood and possibly guide conversation elsewhere.

'I'd be..wicked? Are you saying that your friend isnt as pure as you are?'
She teased him very gently, this being a new friendship she wasnt sure of their boundaries yet, and she didnt want to inadvertantly insult him through his..not friend.
'Simply means we both give you credit, more then you may give yourself? That's all.' Aishwarya ambled over and gently nudged him with her nose.

"If I was to respond to that I would be gossiping, would I not be?" He nickered softly, taking a slow step backwards away from her nudging nose. "I will say that I do recall claiming that he was my opposite so if I am one thing would that not make him the other?" Ha! Now it was becoming a bit like swordsplay. A match.

'Sharing information?' Aishwarya laughed a little, then watched as he backed away from her. He was either very shy, or just wasnt comfortable with tactile gestures.
'Did I make you uncomfortable?' she flicked her ears and smiled.
'Yes, and I think that our temprements are fairly close so it would follow that he is my opposite as well. So I was merely illustrating the point that if two can have similar thoughts when they have opposing mindsets, then maybe our thoughts might be correct.'
She laughed again.
'Maybe you could accept that you have a personality that others will want to be around and be done.'

"A creature such as yourself could name no one uncomfortable, Madame Aishwarya." He nodded slowly before lofting his head high once more. He wasn't exactly uncomfortable, just uncertain.
"It sounds as if you are trying to confuse me with your words." He laughed. "But, yes, opposites can sometimes have similiarities. If they did not then they would have nothing in common and without anything in common they wouldn't be opposites, would they?" Of course not.
"As for my personality, I've been told that no one wants to spend time with a stiff and that I should 'loosen up' in order to properly enjoy myself... So perhaps you are wrong there, Madame." He was smiling, clearly entertained by their chat.

'Was that meant as some sort of flattery?' Aishwarya asked boldly, wearing a faint smile as she did so.
'More of a word joust I'd say, amusing though dont you think? Conversation with an intelligent equal is a most diverting way to spend time.' she giggled, teasing a little as she spoke.
'Well I plainly have to disagree, I find you most agreeable, very gentlemanly,' she spoke with a softness then, pitching her voice in her most enchanting tone. She wasnt one to flirt, but she sensed that Aziraphale was unaware of his good traits, and she wanted him to think positively of himself...he has made a good impression she mused quietly.

"Flattery is best left to those who have the tongue of a serpent, Madame. My tongue is as pure as my coat. I speak truths, not flattery." He nodded, flashing a slight smile in return.
That smile faultered only slightly at the tone of her voice. That was never a good tone. It was generally one that was meant to send intelligent stallions running for the hills. Why, oh why, wasn't he a more intelligent stallion?
He bowed his head low in thanks for her remark. "I thank you, Madame Aishwarya. I try to be a gentleman always and part of being a gentleman is being agreeable when it comes to being in the company of a lady."
