(( Because Ruby has a whole bunch of strange animals in the base >.>....and if it's a green hummingbird it would easily be mistaken for one of Ora's critters...and she has a lot of those.))
Aaron blinked his eyes at AC, "who're you?" He asked. "Where'm I?" He looked around, not knowing any of the people, and even though he was traditionaly quite social, it was a bit unnerving.

((Hell, it's not like Merlin really knows who to help. He might try and attack A.C, after her statement of being a spy. At this point, Merlin just wants to keep them from hurting Aaron.))

Ashura frowned as he saw her disappear. "You don't remember me?" He laughed a little and shook his head. "Figures." He looked around the room and saw AC with Aaron and ignored them. He closed his eyes for a moment and then opened them again. Waiting for her to make her move.
(Woah...didn't notice the dagger attack...how much damage should that be?))

Erica moved her way around Ashura, and spoke to him, her voice seeming disembodied without any way of pinpointing it. "I remember you, Ashura, but only barely, mostly images flashing in my mind. The moment I grab one it seeps through my hands like water. What is it you want?"

ArynChris "Quiet, boy. I'm not going t hurt you, but one of these other folks might. My name's A.C. You can trust me, I won't let anyone hurt you." (@ Ashe unpowered attack blocked by armor, I'd say about five would do it....I think......now who all wants to vote that time changes suck!) Aaron stared at her, and then smiled. "Nice to meet yeh, Dahlin." He glanced at Ashura warily his confident smile failing a bit. "Where's my folks?"

Ashura nodded. "So I'm just a fading memory. What about your husband? Is he just a fading memory too?" He looked towards where he last heard the voice, and his eye twitched when the blade made contact with his armor. "I think it might be obvious what I want." He heard a footstep and took a swing at it, hitting air.

Sahaqiel Ashura nodded. "So I'm just a fading memory. What about your husband? Is he just a fading memory too?" He heard a footstep and took a swing at it, hitting air. 8/5/3/45 "I can't recall him at all." Erica's voice was filled with a sad undertone. She felt the wind rush in her hair as his sword swung by. "What will my death accomplish? Anything? Or is this not something to accomplish, but something to prevent?"

Ashura shook his head. "You don't remember your husband...what about your daughter?" He looked around the room again, trying to find some sign of her. "Your death will accomplish nothing, but will only heal a hole in a memory."

"I don't remember her either." Erica sighed. "It seems like an awful amount of trouble just to heal a memory. Those usually disapear with age anyway."

"The age has already come, but it still hasn't disappeared." He looked around the room again. "This resistance that you're a part of. It opposes your daughter." He smiled. "In fact...it's under her orders that you are to be killed. Not just my desire."

Erica sighed, "I'm not wholy surprised, Ashura, but I can't let her do this. She's falling into madness, and it has to be stopped. But I have to wonder, why did you bring the boy into this? Is it another of Ora's little schemes? We all know she was never fond of children."

Ruby St.Claire (Who all wants to vote that time changes suck!) Aaron stared at her, and then smiled. "Nice to meet yeh, Dahlin." He glanced at Ashura warily his confident smile failing a bit. "Where's my folks?" ((All in favor of abolishing DST, say aye! Aye!))
"I don't know." A.C. eyed the exchange between Ashura and Erica, listening carefully. I suppose it doesn't matter if I listen, now... but heck, it passes the time, right? I've got nothing else to do at the moment, unless... And I might learn something that'll save the kid.
What is Merlin UP to? I refuse to believe that isn't him. She glared at the hummingbird. Directing a thought at it, in case Merlin was also psychic, she asked, What the heck do you think you're doing? I don't know if that's you confusing Ashura or not-- She had noticed that Ashura was acting impaired, as if he couldn't quite focus on Erica. --but there HAS to be something more you can do here than buzz around. Haven't you found a way out yet? A.C.'s eyes narrowed even further as she thought, Or are you on THEIR side? Are you the traitor to humanity here, little pigeon? A merlin, though now extinct, was more a kind of pigeon than a hawk, a messenger pigeon, but it was rather insulting to the merlin to call it that.

Aaron stood up and glanced to AC, "come on, dahlin. I'm goin' home." He ignored Ashura, seeing the grown man talk nonsense to nothing was really quite on the boring side. He scoped out the area, they were in the main hall, and two stair cases were on either side, there were also a multitude of doors. Aaron did a quick look over and decided to head for the staircase on the left.

A.C. was immediately alarmed. She had no idea where they were or if it was safe for the boy to wander off around. Not to mention that the original reason she'd gotten involved with this mess had nothing to do with him and everything to do with Erica. She couldn't leave. Neither can I let him out of my sight. Neither can he stay in danger. Neither can I have two charges and face the Enemy. Neither can I face the Enemy ANYWAY! I'm no match for him.
Merlin!
What if I'm wrong? She eyed the bird again with some distress. I would swear a moment ago that you're a wizard's disguise, bird, but when put to the test... I can't be sure. I just can't.
Flip a coin, Aryn. Heads you protect Cyan, tails you guard the boy. Heads you do what you know is right and hope to save the war. Tails you protect a child and hope to save humanity. Heads you intervene in super politics and stop one from killing another. Tails you chase a child around a strange place and stop him from getting HIMSELF killed. Assume the bird is Merlin's disguise-- heads you let him deal with Ashura, tails you let him see you break your word and probably get you in hot water later, if there IS a later. Assume it's a bird, or he can't help for some reason-- heads you get killed early, tails you escape with the boy to continue dying slowly and hope you can take him to safety before it's too late. Oh God.
She sprang after the boy.
