-Nervousness tickled her stomach, and she felt the gentle sensation of 'butterflies'. But his smile was enough confidence for her. And gently her ivory body slunk forward, moving quietly until the grasses gave way, and at that moment she let her legs spring, sending her in a bound at the group of prey.
Too late to turn back, or to stop now her eyes watched the herd with soft care, trying to pick one to try for, her eyes leaving them only long enough to search out her companion's position. Maybe if they could trap one between themselves? But if she called out the idea it would alert the gazelle...
Well.. hopefully he'd get a similar idea.
Body pulling closer, she watched as the animals stilled gazing at the oncoming danger, before bolting and scattering themselves.-

((Wow, that took an incredibly long time for me to reply. xd I'm so sorry, Iris!))
And chaos reigned as Kipanya tried to watch so many shapes darting about at once. Since everything was already running, he figured it was now or never...
Out ran the dark brown adolescent, running toward the shape in the grass that wasn't brown. Whether or not they were going to catch anything now was beyond his knowledge, but he did know from watching his parents hunt that there was a better chance to catch something when two lions were chasing at the same prey. He just hoped Xu had picked a good prey...

((No worries at all, I ended up having like two months of not replying to anything anyway because of summer school))
-Xu wasn't overconfident, so the prey that her mind had choosen in that split second was a small one. Not a baby, but still young enough to not know all the tricks of the trade yet, and certainly not in it's prime strength quite yet.
Hopefully those things would work for them, but as she moved her mind was more focused on other things. Please don't trip! Please don't fall asleep! Please! Please! Her mind screamed as her body acted instinctually, turning when the prey did, finding herself drawing nearer and nearer to it's left side as she did. Her tongue lulled out of her mouth as she breathed hard with the exhurtion. They could do it. They could do it!-

And now that Kip saw the prey that Xu was chasing, he picked up his pace, hoping he'd be able to help should the small gazelle escape Xu's claws. This was it, the moment of truth. Would they have what it takes, or would they lose their prey?
Dad had said there was no shame in losing a catch, especially when Kip was still so young. But more than anything, he wanted his new friend to catch that gazelle.

-Pushed on by an unfamilar confidence, most likely due to her companion, Xu took the inituiative as Kipanya neared. Pushing herself quickly she sprung less then gracefully at the beast, showing just the novice that she was.
However it wasn't in vain. Just as she'd hoped he body collided with the young gazelle, her weight and force knocking the both of them from their feet. And as her and the beast slammed against the ground, she flailed out, trying to grab onto it as it scurred upwards.
Teeth and claws made a clumsy grasp at the beast, sinking in while at the same time shaking loose thanks to the flails and kicks of the hooved beast. It was going to get away... Unless they could keep it down. And goodness knew she wasn't strong enough to do it alone. Reguardless she tried, spurred on by adreniline and the soft metallic twinge of blood on her tongue. They could do this!-
