Gospel lifted his nose proudly as he answered the little one, "I am Gospel." While his nose was already up, he snorted out the dust already clogging it and took a deep breath to gather the scents in the room. The first thing he smelled was the little one as he was the closest, then all three humans, and then a fifth scent which could only be the one who was missing. Her scent was everywhere though, so tracking it down would be tricky without the little one to guide him.
Gospel cast an annoyed glance at Chrys. He was just about to ask that question. "Indeed," he agreed with a nod. "A dungeon is not the most hospitable area of a castle - why was she there in the first place?" He frowned once more at the amount of dust choking him. "Was she...cleaning?" Humans seemed to have an obsession with that.

Jowy nodded politely on hearing everyone's names, then looked from Chrys to Gospel. "She likes to wander into the dungeon a lot," he stated. "She's been there a lot for the past three days. She's not cleaning though- it's always the dirtiest place in the castle, and she never brings any mops or anything."
As he led them downstairs to the damp dungeon, he then turned to Jareth. "What do you mean by secret passage?"

"Well in my experience with dungeons there is always some secret passage about...its to help the royals escape...rebels wouldn't think to watch the dungeon..."
Jareth untied the steel plated headband pulling it away from his face revealing his silver irised eye that he keeps hidden. He followed Jowy silently as he surveyed the dungeon with every step.
"Now in my experience...the secret passage is usually in a place no one would think to check...y'kinda learn these things where I'm from royals really hate wolves because we have a sense of virtue, y'know what I mean kid?"
Jareth ran hand through his own hair he stopped and looked at the walls for a moment. He rubbed his chin as he examined the architecture, then a smile pulled at the corners of his lips. This dungeon seemed to remind him of his glory days as a general.

A quiet sigh escpaed Chrys' lips as she followed the child. He seemed interested in the secret passageway, and who wouldn't? She still wanted to know *why* the woman was in the dungeon. If she knew something, or was specifically studying something, it would be a place to start. Combing a dungeon that the woman had spent three days in for a could-be passage was not the smartest way to start this, in Chrys' opinion.
Even so, she followed, hoping they would find the passage or it would turn out fruitless, so they may continue the investigation in a slightly more...helpful manner.

"Not all castles have such things," Gospel added with indignation. "Especially older ones, and the older ones that do usually become too unsafe to continue usage over time." He nodded with that last statement as if it was indisputable truth though frankly he was just glad he did not have to sniff in any more of the dust for a moment. He was content to let the human lead the way for the moment until his sinuses cleared.

Jowy glanced between Jareth and Gospel, hearing their differing statements. He subconsciously peered at Jareth's fascination with the architecture of the dungeon, and wondered why he was interested in such a damp, unpleasant place.
He pondered a bit. "M-maybe we should look for a secret passage," he finally said. "If we don't then we might miss something. It doesn't hurt to check, right?"

"Right..."
Jareth stopped his facination with the design of the dungeon and proceeded ahead, he was looking for something out of the ordinary. Usually the out of the ordinary symbol was a button, but sometimes it's a loose stone. So he instinctively began to press his hands against the wall checking each stone in the wall.
"In my experience the older ones are usually loose stones...or a lamp fixture that turns...of course if there is anything out of the ordinary for dungeon that could be it too..."

A slender woman strode through the corridors of the castle, the stone echoing her soft footsteps. The silence was almost deafening though Thelesis was used to prolonged silence, it just wasn't all that comforting in some situations. Shrugging aside her worries she finally reached an ornate door and pushed it aside. It opened up to a space she would have otherwise perceived to be empty but there was a flock of people within.
Raising an eyebrow, she spoke and her words flowed forth like fresh spun silk, soft and gentle. "I was beginning to wonder why the castle was so quiet." As it was, she was already late aboard the band wagon and at least some vague explanation was in need. "Why is everyone down here, instead of up there?" Her vibrant green eyes adjusted to the slight lack of light and took in her surroundings. Hmm peachy... dark and dank... oh alliteration. What a place to hold a gathering, not to my liking but it'll do... She thought to herself as she slightly wrinkled her nose.

"This castle may be older than that, Jareth," Chrys interjected kindly. "If it was something obvious, she should have been able to have gotten out by now. If there is, indeed, a hidden room, I'd imagine it would have more of a hair trigger." Her dark eyes swept over the gathered, then turned back to the stones of the building. "It may even be magic. Some react only in the presence of the true owner."
The woman felt she'd said enough, sliding her gaze towards Jowy. She felt they were on a wild goose chase, but she was going to sincerely try to help the boy and those who would also help him, regardless of her personal opinion. It was the least she could do for the missing hostess.

"We're looking for the lady who invited us...Jowy here told us she's been missing for a while. He said she tends to explore down here so we're lookin for her."
Jareth calmly explained to the new comer as he stepped away from the wall. He looked at Chrys quietly and nodded his head since this seemed to be an older castle but it would require thinking to find what opened the secret passage.
"Maybe there is a floor tile...older castles usually had some unsuspecting floor tile...maybe one that is slightly raised..."
Jareth rubbed his chin in thought as he leaned against the wall quietly, he was thinking where the secret switch might be.

Alluna watched as the young woman entered and listened to Jereth's quick explanation before glancing around once more. Something was odd about this place, and she knelt down and touched the cold floor tiles. There were traces of spirits...but they were...below? How unusual. These aren't undertground-types either, but a few wind-types...Could it be..hollow space underneath us? Tch, the spirits are too distant for me to channel..
"I think there is a secret passage, below us. Though what type of mechanism reaches it, I'm not sure. " Her eyes narrowed as she tried to focus on one of the nearer wisps, but it danced out of her range once more. "Jowy, do you know the rough age of this castle by any chance?"

Gospel snorted at the others' fascination with secret passages and trap doors and other such silly things. "If it was something so simple, why would she have disappeared and left the little one all alone?" he asked haughtily. "I highly doubt she is simply hiding with the little one alone and concerned about her." He felt they were only wasting time focusing on the dungeon.

"Perhaps, she can't figure out how to open it on the otherside. She may have not counted on the passage closing."
Jareth's eyes slowly narrowed, he was growing tired of Gospel's arrogance, Jareth being a mercenary knew very well to check every possibility. crossed his arms over his chest, the chains hidden under the large sleeves of his coat rattled lightly as he did.
"Also...I don't see you contributing anything, so if you have any ideas speak up. Otherwise don't deny the possibilities this dungeon may hold a link to the woman's disappearance."
Jareth wasn't exactly a patient man when it came to arrogant people who only criticized but didn't offer any ideas of their own. In fact it made him a little...aggressive and edgy.

Chrys smiled faintly, although mentally she was rolling her eyes. The man hadn't heard a WORD she'd said, and had obviously mistaken her observation as a lack of hearing HIS opinion. The woman sighed, crossing her arms across her chest, clawed fingers tapping her upper arm.
Of course, if there WAS a secret room, she obviously didn't know how to get out. The concept only further proved her point that it wasn't something obvious; if she'd been in the dungeon before, then you'd think she would have tripped the "secret stone" that Jareth was so intent on. Can't win them all, she reminded herself, just be patient.
Unfortunately, patience wasn't one of her virtues. If they didn't start something - and soon - she was going to start banging on walls to make something happen.

Emerald green eyes scanned the room as Thelesis' slender body leaned against the wall. She absorbed the whole conversation but she, herself spoke little. Didn't really feel the need to open her mouth and add on, after all... she was pretty lost in the conversation. She had come in midway and what she caught about secret pathways, trap doors and hocus pocus had her just as confused. Okay... maybe not hocus pocus.
Note to self: Self... make sure you're on time to these things...
Thelesis pushed aside her black locks that had fallen like a curtain around her face and scowled, thoughtfully. The teen wrinkled her nose once more, trying to adapt to the damp environment... yeah the dungeon-like atmosphere was not boding to well with her. Not that she was claustrophobic, she paused on that that... wait maybe? She shook her head free of her thoughts and concentrated on the situation again as she fingered her blades. Hopefully, nothing they encounter would result in metal being drawn. She looked up thoughtfully and shook her head in dismay... she was too cynical today.
