Well, I'd hate to say it, but they probably would destroy his boat rather than keep it for an islander unless they SEVERELY outfit it. Although some duplexes are specially fitted for marine islanders, one of the main reasons that the labs keeps the islanders in them is because of surveilence. The duplexes, as well as most of the island, is covered with video cameras and an intercom that connects to the lab. Also, the risk of escape by boat, even one that was severly crippled, would be enough for them to destroy it. The staff is stuck there too, remember.
So, they'll probably end up sinking it off the island like a few of the other boats that some islanders came on.

XD Alright. I figured as such, which is why I said it was likely taken from him. Would break his heart, since it IS his home, so unless they do something like... Ground it, its basicly gone gone. XD I just thought I'd point out there are some options of turning it into a duplex, on or off the waters. He'd likely just ask for the sails so he could use them to decorate the roof of his living area.

Very clever, unique little character, packed with appeal! Island tailor, yee. <3 He's also strikingly believable.
Another animal suggestion to add to your pot!
Domestic Sheep! Sheep are already associated with the clothing industry AND Greek Mythology. Odysseus and a few of his men escaped the Cyclops's cave by riding on the underbellies of sheep. Jason and the Argonauts went on a quest to recover the Golden Fleece. ...And the island could always use a few more farm animals.

Oooo! Yeah --When I wrote "Dahl", which is a wild sheep, I totally forgot about the domestic kind... And it would be funny cause he could make stuff out of his own wool, too. XD

I have added the irrational fear of flying (with an generalization of it with heights higher then that of skyscrapers.) and will soon be adding scans of him as different species. XD
