"Yeah, it is!" Nova spat out the residue of the frog. "But it makes you feel powerful to hold something living captive, even when it's a bad thing." She peered into the muddy water, trying to find something else.
"Hey lookie! Tadpoles!" Nova pointed to them, who were swimming around frantically, causing that area of water to clear up. "I wonder if they are related to that frog?"

Akumu laughed at the thought of those fish things being related to the frog and watched them swim around some. She heard a noise and looked around to see a blue bird watching them from a tree branch. She sat there and stared at it for a while before it flew off and then looked back down at Nova.

Nova remained quiet for once, staring at the bluebird. When it flew away, she glanced down at the tadpoles again before speaking to Akumu.
"I never seen a blue bird before! It's so pretty! And blue! It's amazing how much interesting animals there are in this one area. I sure would like to talk with them..." Nova kept on blabbering on without stopping to think.

Akumu raised her eyebrows in thought when she heard the Ulaya talking. Do you think we really could talk to them? she asked herself. Interested in finding out, she laid down on the ground next to the water and watched the tadpoles swimming about.
