This is my favorite 15 days of the year, I absolutely love the food and the money and everyone visiting as many relatives as possible!

Love the new year, but I hate that there is so much...cheek pinching and what not. And it also drives me insane that Asians are always so...socially conscious. Too much politics. Gross.

I'm trying to get into the whole Chinese New Year thing now cuz I want my boyfriend to get into it, too, so that if/when we have our own family, we can both enhance the traditions with our kids. I know that it would also mean a lot to my mom to carry on some part of our Chinese heritage.

♥My family and I had to take a shower at night and pour some lemon juice thing on our head. We also all had to wear red. Also I had to go around our house banging pots and pans♥

Every year, I go watch the parade with my cousins, and sometimes friends, then we go to a Chinese restaurant and go to relatives houses for the rest of the day giving our new years greetings. I get home around 12 3nodding
So far I got $300
