"I guess I could try to tell you." Rose tired to calm herself down a bit before speaking anymore. When she was calm she explained to her that just a few days ago a group of men broke into her house to rob them and ended up killing her parents in the process, and she hasn't left this spot where they were buried since.

"I'm very sorry that happened to you, but your parents wouldn't have wanted you to mourn their loss for the rest of your days, would they?" Ashlyn gave Rose a small smile, trying to lend some comfort to the older girl.

"Y-your right, I'm being weak and pathetic." She cover her face with both hands and pushed her hair back out of her face. She attempted to smile as she stood up.

"You aren't being weak and pathetic, just showing your lonliness. Trust me, I understand what it's like to lose people close to you." Ashlyn stood and allowed her cat to sit on her shoulder, her smile widening a little.

"Well, this kind of seems odd to ask someone younger than myself this, but, what should I do? I can't go back my home now, I've probably lost that too." Rose circled the graves slowly in thought as her dove perched on her right shoulder.

"Well, I don't exactly know. I'm in a fairly similar predicament myself, to tell the truth." Ashlyn followed Rose at a short distance with her cat jumping down to wander off alone.

Rose stopped and leaned up against a gravestone. "I guess there's no point in me staying in this town anymore, but I don't know where I should go." She stared off into space. "Hmm... maybe I should just travel around to find another purpose in life, yeah, that's what I'll do, I'll go on a journey."

"Sounds like a good plan." Ashlyn smiled and watched as her cat went after a few bugs, a smile playing around her lips. She turned back to Rose and pushed her hair behind her ears as it moved to cover her eyes.
"Do you know which way you'll head first?"

Rose paused. "Uh...that's a good question." She said with a small laugh. She looked around then she remembered that there had been another town on the other side of the woods.
"I think heading to the town on the other side of the wood would be a good start." She told Ashlyn pointing to the woods.

"All right. Maybe I'll meet you again in the future. For now, I still have some things to do in my hometown before I leave. It was nice meeting you miss...." Ashlyn suddenly realized she didn't know Rose at all. That could be bad if they met up again. Her eyes went form Rose to her cat as the feline jumped into a tree and she freaked, rushing over to grab her cat before she got stuck.
"Rose, I can't leave you alone for ten seconds without you getting yourself into trouble, can I?" Ashlyn's voice was low, but could still be heard as sh epulle dthe cat out of the tree and gently took the pieces of bark and leaves form her fur.

" So your cat's name is Rose? What a lovely name; that's mine as well." Rose told her smiling as she watched her pick pieces of bark and leaves from the little cat's fur.

"Yes, I've always liked the name Rose. But it doesn't seem to fit my cat too well." Ashlyn let her cat head to her shoulder and sighed as the feline meowed loudly. She rolled her eyes and allowed the cat to play with her hair, short meows coming from the ball of fur behind her head every now and then.
"Can you tell she doesn't listen to anyone and follows her own rules?"

Rose giggled. "She's more of a maverick; an independent thinker." She said watching the little cat play with the girl's hair.

"Independant, that sounds like Rose." Ashlyn laughed a little and pulled her hair over her shoulder, getting an instant response form her cat as she moved the brown locks.

Rose giggled. "I don't get that from my little dove here. She's pretty docile." She said petting the little dove's head.
