Play Date (1)

Key

Thalion Koi = Thalion (Cody)
Blade GunSniper = GunSniper (Laesneniel)

RP over AIM

Thalion Koi (8:58:39 PM): Cody folded his arms tightly accross his chest, plopping himself down in one of the seats to the waiting room. He'd recovered from much of his injuries save for, of course, the missing eye which now lay concieled under a solid black eyepatch. He had to take an eye test to make sure the other wasn't going out. He was able to wait in the waiting room with everyone else. Keanu still had a bit to recover from. "...tootin'...tarnation.:
Thalion Koi(8:58:41 PM): "*

Blade GunSniper (9:04:01 PM): Laesneniel sat in the seat two away from the bull child. Her arms were folded neatly in her lap and her hands nervously played with eachother. It was hard to be away from mommy, and to make things worse time seemed to move so slowly. Her tail curled aroun itself in response to the fingers nervouse twiching. It curled like a chameleons than wrapped around itself, and than repeated the steps again. Laesneniel looked over at the bull, only for a quic second, as he murmured his strange words.

Thalion Koi (9:08:52 PM): Cody shot a sharp glare over her way, snorting around the nosering he was only recently privlaged back to. An ear twitched a bit as he studied the girl next to him. "Ya got a problem?"

Blade GunSniper (9:14:38 PM): She shook her head rappidly and hummed. "n-no..." Her voice was just barly above a whisper.
Now she worried that she had offended this larger kid by looking at him. Twice and looked at his eye patch for more than two seconds. She had seen a picture of someone with one of those in a pirate book, he must be like one of them.
"I'm sorry..." She added as he looked back down at her twiching tail.

Thalion Koi (9:17:46 PM): "Nothin' tah be sorry ' bout if yer not meanin' nothin' by it." He looked forward again and crossed his legs over eachother, it bothered him that he couldn't keep an eye on the new kid out of the corner of his eye...she was a girl at least though.

Blade GunSniper (9:20:05 PM): Lae looked back at the bull kid. She'd have scooted forward to talk to him better, but as sercumstances would have it she had no legs to move with.
"are-" She paused and hesitated with the question a little, but the curiosity was too much. "- are you a pirate?"

Thalion Koi (9:21:36 PM): "Pirate!?" That got the little bull to his hooves, his tail snapping around behind him as he clopped his way over to stand in front of the little seahorse girl. "Naw girl do I look like some kinda ocean sailin' turkey? I-" He puffed his chest out and planted his hands on his hips, "I'm a cowboy little lady."

Blade GunSniper (9:26:06 PM): Immediately she curled up in the chair as he approached. She quickly covered her head and wrapped her tail around her arm, as wrapping her tail around something gave her a sense of security.
"I didn't know Pirates were 'turkeys'." She sqeaked. "What's a cow boy?" She peeked at him through her fingers.

Thalion Koi (9:29:04 PM): "Cowboys're only th' most manly men thar is. We're good wif guns an' ropes an' me an' Keanu is gonna be takin' out some punks that came up in 'ere an' roughed up th' boss." He snorted again, "An' what're you?"

Blade GunSniper (9:33:07 PM): Her hands lowerd and her tail let go of her arm. Slowly it wrapped around the leg of the chair. Her posture returned to what it was when they had first started to talk.
"Mommy says I'mma s-seahorse..." She smiled weakly as she looked up at him.

Thalion Koi (9:37:50 PM): "Seahorse...then yer th' pirate. More so' 'n I am." He chuckled, "I've seen a lot o' horses an you ain't nuffin' like th' ones on th' westerns n' all dat."

Blade GunSniper (9:44:08 PM): Her back fins wiggled a little when Cody chuckled. She was yet again relieved that she had not offended him. "But I don't look like the pirates in the books." She pointed herself.
"Do you have books on cowboys and westhorses?" She asked as she leaned a little forward in her chair.

Thalion Koi (10:13:21 PM): "Naw, I don't like tah read nuffin. I got movies an' pictures. Dat kinda stuff but I gotta get m'self released from this place a'fore I can show 'em again." He tipped his hat back a bit, "What'cher name lil' missy?"

Blade GunSniper (10:16:17 PM): "Lea-s-nen-iel." She struggled a little with the name.

Thalion Koi(10:17:27 PM): "Mind iffI jus' go 'head an' call ya 'Lea'? Shorter tah say an I'm none tah good wif big words jus yet mind." He took his hat off and held it off to the side, "Name's Cody."

Blade GunSniper (10:19:39 PM): Lea nodded. It was much easier to say and it didn't sound bad either.
"Cody is easy to say." Her smile widened.

Thalion Koi (10:22:37 PM): "Mos cowboy names are. Short an' simple an' easy tah scream out." He smirked a bit. A dirty joke he'd learned from one of the movies he'd seen. Didn't quite understand it but what matter was it. Winter always chuckled when it was said.

Blade GunSniper (10:25:22 PM): Lae chuckled.
"Cowboys do a lot of screamng?" She tilted her head to the side.
Thalion Koi (10:26:29 PM): "Naw we don't, th' ladies do. We make all kindsa other sounds. Shootin' an ropin', and all dat kinda stuff." He sat himself down next to Lea.
Blade GunSniper (10:31:54 PM): Lae turned her head so she could keep an eye on Cody. "Oh, they must be very popular!" With more he said the more excited she got about Cowboys. "Can you show me shutn' and ropn' and cowboy stuff?" She tried to saound like he did as that was the first time she had heard those terms and figured that was how they they were properly said. Speech was still a little tough for her.

Thalion Koi (10:35:00 PM): "Naw not right now, lil' lady." He chuckled, returning his hat to his head, "I ain't got no guns yet. Too young." He tapped the eyepatch, "An' even if I did I'd not be able tah wow ya much none... can't see quite straight no more."

Blade GunSniper (10:48:06 PM): "Oh." She looked down at her tail briefly before looking back at Cody. "I still wanna see it, when your not too young." She pointed to his good eye. "Thats a good one right? and if your a cowboy you can do it right?" She was proud that she was able to come up with that logic by herself.

Thalion Koi (10:50:52 PM): His ears went back a bit, "I recken so... gotta get in some practice. They got me rottin' 'ere like a steamin' cow pie waitin' fer some more tests a'fore I can get outta 'ere an' get on with my life."

Blade GunSniper (11:11:42 PM): "I can ask my mommy if you can come to my house and wait for your mommy. I don't think we..'rot cowpies' there..."

Thalion Koi (11:13:28 PM): "Naw, I can't go no where till th' hospital says I'mma be alright. Feel fine, look fine... they think my other eye might go out on me too. Much o' what they're doin' now's jus' makin' sure I don't get no worse. Me an' mah possie gonna be outtah here right as rain."
Blade GunSniper (11:24:42 PM): Lae nodded slowly, than paused and looked around. "What can I see your possie?" She got a mental immage of a strange rodent-like creature.

Thalion Koi (11:29:56 PM): "They're still in th' hospital room. Paxton got all knocked round all rough like an' Keanu got a bit o' lead stuck up in 'is chest an' knee. Got th' worst of it outta th' three of us. Fightin' some baddies." He put up his fists, "We're gonna get 'em an do 'em up like they did us."

Blade GunSniper (11:41:06 PM): "I hope you get "'em"..." She looked down at her tail again. "I don't like mean people..."

Thalion Koi (11:44:54 PM): "They took out th' boss 'ere at D'corp. Guy made all th' kids I reckon an' it's jus' not right tah go round splodin' people like that. Gotta do somethin' bout it or no one will."

Journal Entry - Laerwen (1)

Today was my first day with Laesneniel. She was so quiet and well behaved. It was a connect from the start. I was well aware that she was a sea child, but I didn't expect her to not have any legs. But I decided to take care of that problem the next day. I wanted the first day to get to know Lae and for her to get comfortable with her home.

Link was a little scared of her at first, but after a while he seemed to get used to the little child. She was so gentle with him. I didn't worry about them too much. It was relieving to see that she wasn't scared of him either. I showed her Epona and she even got to pet Epona's snout. Epona was a little scared and not liking to be touched by someone other than me. I kept her calm, but I think it will be a while before she is used to Lae.

Next I showed Lae the pool. I didn't tell her how much of a pain it was to build that thing and have it cleaned with a constant flow of nice salt water. I let her swim a little in the shallow end. She loved the plants in the pool. I'll have to remember to get more of them.

Most of the day was spent in the pool. She loved it so much we just couldn't stop. The sun was already down by the time we got out.

She liked her bed almost as much as the pool. I had ordered a special crib for her. It's like a water bed, only a crib. The motions made her fall asleep easily. Her night light made the whole room look like an ocean. She loved this as well. I'm glad she is liking this so far.
---

We left for the hospital early in the morning. I wanted to get her wheel chair early so that we could spend the rest of the day together. I felt bad to leave her in that waiting room by herself, but the Doctor said he needed to speak with me. The Nurse said she would keep an eye on her and I did see another child in the room.

When I got back I figured out that the other child in the room belonged to my sister. Such a sweet little boy. He seems to have a hit really big with Lae. She talked about Cowboys all the way home. She said that they had easy names so people could yell at them. It was amusing to hear her talk about them.

After a good swim and walk around the park I read her all the books I had on Cowboys. She was tuned in so well and asked so many questions. She also drew a picture for Cody:
User Image

She kept pointing to his hat and saying that she wanted one just like it. I'll have to ask Winter where he got his...
I'm glad she has already made a friend, and best of all it was with Winter's boy, so she'll get lots of play dates.

Well, It's time to read Lae another bed time story and get her tucked in.
I hear there is another Seahorse kid out there, I'll have to find the parent so we can set up a play date some time.

Play Date (2)

| Wednesday | June 20, 2007 | Gunsniper & Thalion |
(thank you Thally for the set up)

Laerwen:
Laerwen was far too busy to take care of Laesneniel. Previous arangements had been made for her to spend the day with Cody, which was fine because Lae had been wanting to see the cow boy for a while now. She had drew him a picture for his birthday and made him a necklace with wagon tire macaroni noodles. She was excited. Laerwen knocked on the door to her sisters place. Lae was sitting eagerly in her wheel chair. Her tail curled around the handles. There were several bags with things Lea needed for the day in a cowbly decorated backpack haning on the back of the chair.

Edan:
The door opened shortly after the knock to a young boy with silver hair pulled back into a tight braid. It was hard to believe he'd even be in the same house as Cody with how properly he dressed himself, though the tussled hair and kind of winded look justified it enough, "Can I help you?"

Laerwen:
"I made previous arangements for Lea to spend the day at your house while I did a few erronds. Is Winter around?" Older Lea asked as she eyed the little boy. At first she though that this was the infamous Cody... just after a good schooling.

Lae:
Lea leaned into her chair a bit more when the stranger emmerged from the door. Her tail curled around her arm as she resumed defense postion number 2 - ball manuver.

Edan:
Edan looked over to the small seahorse girl, "Ooh yes... Winter went to work. Someone called in sick. I'm in charge but she said to expect you." He moved away from the door and held it open. The living room was a bit of a mess- on the couch Cody was sprawled watching one of his favorate westerns.

Laerwen:
Leawren wheeled Lea into the house as soon as it was possible. She leaned over and gave her some "be nice" and dos and don'ts talking before turning back to the silver haired lad.
"She really is a good girl. Just make sure she gets a bath or a sprey down every hour. Her skin needs moisture. If you have any other questions she should be able to help. I also left a list in her bag."

Cody:
Cody tipped his head back a bit, glancing to the doorway as the pair came in. He smirked a bit in cruel amusement at the small list of 'care' that the girl needed. "I'll take 'er out back an' give 'er a good hose down. Don't'cha worry."

Edan:
"Cody we have a guest." Edan frowned a bit, folding his arms over his chest, "Winter expects you to be on your best behavior."

Cody:
Cody threw his arms up, "I am!"

Laerwen:
Lea looked over at Cody briefly before focusing back on Edan. "Thank you again." She bowed respectfully than quickly walked out of the door.

Lea:
Lea looked up from her ball a few moments after Cody finnished speaking. "Hi Code!" She waved enthusiastically. Her smile widening ear to ear.

Cody:
Cody tipped his hat a bit, "Howdy. Good tah see you again. Got'cher cripple chair eh?" He chuckled, ignoring the dangeorus glare Edan shot him as he stood himself up, "How long ya in fer?"

Edan:
"The day." Edan cut in, "And we're the oldest ones here, we're expected to be responsable."

Lea:
Lea rolled her self closer to Cody. Before she could answer Edan spoke. Her head lilted a bit so she could see over the chair while he was talking. "Yeah." She wasn't sure what cripple meant, but if Cody said she had one, than she did.

"Hey, I made you a birtday present." She moved her head and at back right in her chair.

Cody:
"...yew did?" Cody blinked, looking a bit embarassed. He'd spent his birthday in the hospital, never a fun thing. Of course Keanu and Paxton had made it a decent enough day anyway. "Ya didn't haftah you know..."

Edan:
Edan chuckled a bit, "Well I'll make us some lunch." He moved over into the kitchen but kept within sight of the two...Cody had been showing a bit more...interest in girls lately.

Lae:
"I wanted to. " She giggled as she spun around to fetch her bag. "It took a bizzilion hours and string."

Cody:
"Bigger'n I can count." Cody admitted, reaching over to retrieve the girl's bag for her. "Tarnation girl if yer gonna be in that thing ya gotta learn how tah get 'round it."

Lea:
Lea accepted the bag and immediately begun to go through it.
"It's not hard... and you can go realy fast cause of the wheeles!" She laughed as she picked up the drawing and the wagon wheel noodle necklace and held them up. Lea was un aware that Cody probably knew that and has most likely experimented on hills with others in 'cripple chairs.'
"Happy birtday."

Cody:
Cody took the necklace slowly and looked it over, smiling a bit. "Well das gotta be the dun right purdiest thing I got this year." He chuckled, ruffling Lae's hair a bit, "Ya wanna help me get it on? Mah horns are kinda tricky.

Lae:
"Sure." Lea smiled as she set down the picture and held the necklace with both hands. She squinted and gigled a bit as her hair was ruffed.

Cody:
Cody got down on the couch again, dipping his head, "Careful now, them things is dangerous. Punch a hole in th' walls if yer not careful."

Lae:
Carefully Lea spread her arms as wide as they could go. The horns were just too long for her reach.
"Okay." She nearly whispered as she put the necklace over one horn than worked on getting it over the other. It was long enough. Leawren told her that she would have to make a long one. And it was just barely able to make it.
"there." She said with much satisfation.
"... do you do that to bad walls?" She had to ask as teh curiosity overcame her small child mind.

Cody:
Cody helped out as much as he could. His horns weren't that large just yet- but for a toddler's arms they might have seemed massive. "Nah, Jus' got excited too much once when I went to work with Winter. Dat was a'fore Edan came tah live'ere after he lost his dad." He nodded towards the kitchen, "Charged a wall an' got a horn stuck in it."

Lae:
Lae was glad to have gotten the help with the necklace. Afterward she sat back and listened to what Cody had to say. "That's sad..." her lips arched downward a bit. It was sad for both of them.
"It's good the wall let go." And she didn't know how to comment about Edan loosing his Dad. She never had one, but Learwen said that they were special.

Cody:
"Eh, he's a wussy boy. Works in a flower shop. But don't'cha worry none, I been takin' 'em tah th' gym. Winter got us a membership there. Ya should get one too. I talked to a kid looked just like you do- only a boy. Taught him tah pull 'emself up a slide. Ya don't got no legs so you use what'cha got."

Lae:
"Wow..." Lea smiled again. "I won't." Another just like her, but a boy! That sounded exciting. "I can't cimb up a slide, but I can swim really good. Learwn says thas why I have no feet. Cause I swim... but can you teach me to climb up a slide too?" The idea of a gym and climbing things got her excited, and this reflected in her bright eyes. Climbing things in water was fun, but in the air had to be a blast! Because Cody said so...

Cody:
Cody winced a bit as she brought up swimming. Never...he'd never be caught dead near water. Ever. "Uh...yeah I can go up a slide. Gotta use mah knees an' arms though 'cause my hooves slip 'round on th' slide." He chuckled a bit, "But I can teach ya at th' park sometime."

Lae:
Lea nodded. "An, maybe you can go swimming with me too?"

Cody:
Cody snorted sharply, "I won't be caught dead in th' water less it's a shower."

Lae:
Lea curled up a bit once Cody snorted. Her tail wrapped around her arm.
"W-why's that?" SHe whispered afraid she had already said something wrong.

Cody:
Cody frowned a bit, glancing over towards then kitchen then back, "...there's some things I can't do. Ya can't walk, I can't swim."

Lae:
Lea wondered if they made chairs for people who couldn't swin, like they made ones for people who couldn't walk.
"Well, okay... I'm sorry Cody." She burried her nose in her tail.
"I won't talk about it, I promise..."

Cody:
"Jus' don't let it get out. I'm not supposed tah not be not good at somethin'." he ruffled her hair again and stood himself up. Edan was walking into the room with a large plate of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches- complete with two glasses of milk. Cody winced a bit. Damnit..he had to get milk.

Lae:
Lea smiled and uncurled herself as Cody ruffled her hair.
"You're good at everything... w-" She cut herself off as Edan walked into the room. "It's just not good enough for you." She corrected and held up the picture for him so he could see it.
Blade GunSniper: Seeing the milk and pbn'j made her smile even more, good stuff.

Cody:
Cody chuckled, seating himself on the floor. Winter had allowed them to eat lunch on the coffee table in the living room so that's what they planned on doing, "Darn tootin'. Work hard tah do so. I'll train ya up good."

Edan:
"Now now, none of that until she's old enough." Edan set the plate down and offered Lae a glass of the milk and took the other for himself. "By the way, my name is Edan. It's good to meet you."

Lae:
Lea accepted the milk with both hands and a "thanks." She finnaly looked at Edan with a smile, but her tail still curled around it'self. She just wasn't used to new people.
"I'm... Laesneniel" She struggled with the name a little.

Edan:
"Lovely name. Very fitting for such a refined little lady." Edan smiled softly and began dipping his sandwich delicately into the milk. Cody grumbled a bit off to the side- Edan was always the charmer in the family.

Lae:
Lea smiled as she said; "Thank you." She than sipped some milk and looked over to Cody. How come he didn't get any milk? She held her glass out to him. " You want mine?" She wasn't aware of the whole bull rule about milk and she really didn't know that cows were the same thing as a bull.

Cody:
"Naw I don't want any, thanks." His ears pinned back a bit. It was akward... a lot of things the family ate he wouldn't The closest to meat he'd have was perhaps a plate of scrambled eggs or something of the sort.

Lae:
She took the cup back and sipped a bit more of it. He must have been scared of it like he was scared of water... Or he was too good for it. Either way she would not ask again. She looked at the milk, it was still good though.

Journal Entry - Laerwen (2)

Wow, it's been w while since I last checked in... Lea and I have been rather secluded over the past few months. I have been teaching her to swim better and some other skills like the ABC's and 123's. She is getting better at it. If anything she is really good at coloring.
-incert samples here-

She has been making a lot of crafts as well. Necklaces and bracelets being her favorite. I have to watch her when she uses those big plastic beads, but I don't worry too much. She is a good kid.

Lea has been moping quite a bit though. She misses Cody. It's been over a month since they last saw each other. I'll have to call winter to set up another play date. It make me sad to see Lea so upset. She's draw a lot of pictures for him too.
Also she carries around a tattered old bull doll named Cowboy. It's hard to separate the two, so I just let her carry it around. The only time she let it go is when she is swimming (She claims that it's scared of water.) and when she has to use the potty (She claims it would be indecent if he went into the lady's room.)

Well, cowboy stuff aside, she has been looking into dragon books. She loves to see all their different shapes and colors. I told her one day she'll get to have a dragon of her very own. I love how her eyes light up every time I tell her. Wonder which one she will get though. Still some time before we find out though...

Well, better clean up the kitchen while Lea is sleeping...

Got around to little Lea's homework for the corporation. It took a while, but she was happy to do it. I was just happy to get the darn thing done.

She was quite excited about the "C". She had me help her spell out "Cowboy" on it and she wrote Cody's name. She really looks up to that bull.

She still refuses to take off her cowgirl hat, unless she goes swimming. She claims that the hat doesn't like water. Odd, but it makes me laugh every time she says it.

We've been keeping up with water practices every day. She has gotten quite good at swimming and flipping. I wonder if I can get Reese and her together for a practice run? That might be good for the both of them. They seem so shy. But Excited to see others like them.

A child is expected to know certain things at certain ages.
In order to obtain rights to their Dragon(egg), they must prove they can meet these requirements.

The following sheet is for your child to fill out, with mild help from their guardian, then sent back to D-corp. (PM ot the mule)

Also any changes, even minor such as haircuts, should be reported to the D-corp to be logged and filed.

Thankyou,

Mommy wanted me to try to write something down in this "journal" thing. It's weird to be writing.... Mommy has helped me a lot to write this, so here it goes.

Um, I was told I get to go see a dragon egg soon. Like, very soon. As soon as mommy sets up something called an "appointment". I can't wait to see what it looks like. Everyone gets a "dragon". I wonder if mine will look like Cody's. His is pretty big! and pretty shiny! He's silly though. I like to play with them. hey don't like water like I do though. That's okay because they don't have to come.

Mommy also says I have to get into a "class" sometime soon too. That scares me a little bit. I hope Mommy can come too. I don't want to be alone. Cody is to old to go to this class, but maybe they will let mommy in because it's my Mommy. That would be fair right?

Wow, it's a lot of fun to be writing something a lot. It's like reading what I think and Mommy can read it too. It's exciting! I'l have to do it more! and I can color on the paper to make it look pretty. OH I got a paper on the wall today! Mommy put it there. She loves all my "water colors".

Okay, night swim and bed. I'll be back to write more.

Alright, so over the past few months Lea and I have been very reclusive. I know I'm supposed to sign her up for some classes and she is supposed to go and visit her dragon egg, but times have been hard.

I guess that's not something I should take out on my poor girl. She seems to have gotten more and more shy toward other people. Every time, though rare it is, I have some over she hides in the pool. It's hard not to blame myself for such behavior. Earlier this year she seemed to be coming out of this shyness, but now we have taken a serious back track.

I need to get her out of the house and set up a few play dates with some of the other local kids. Maybe even get to see Cody again. Lea doesn't talk about him much, but she still has her cowboy stuff in her room.

Maybe tonight we'll rent a movie and I'll go over getting her into a class room. She won't like the idea of that. She never been away from me for a long time before....

Things have not been going well... For some reason Mom has not wanted to go out anymore. I hardly get to see her now a days. It's sad. I miss going to class actually. I really want to show the teacher that I have been practicing with the rings and other objects in teh pool. I can go really fast now.

I also don't have any friends anymore. I don't even get to see Cody. I wish Mom would come back, the happy one. Its lonely... And my dragon egg really wants to see me. I know. I miss it too. I don't want it to open without me here.

I heard Mom talking to someone the other day on the phone, something about an "epidemic" at the D-corp. Maybe that has something to dowith being hidden?

Hopefully this 'epidemic' will go away. It's being really mean... I want to go back to the way things were. Happy...

Journal Entry - Laesneniel(2)

It has been a slow day today, so I thought that writing something down would make it go faster. It has been a while since I have put anything down here too. It's about time. Mom still has not been seen much out of the house, I thought I heard her leaving at night one, but it was hard to tell if that was a dream or not. It has been getting worse since last time I wrote in here.

We practice swimming every day when we can. I like those times because Mom seems normal again. When we are in the pool it's like all the worries are scared of the water.

Oh, I did get to visit my egg again. Couldn't touch it this time because we had to be quick, but I was happy to see it! I want it to hatch soon, the poor thing has been in that egg so long. I really want to see it!

Hm, I can't think of anything else at the moment. But when I figure out more about what is wrong with Mom I'll he sure to write it down. Maybe it's time to carry around a note pad?
