Auren Teleported in, next to Captain Veseti, and was taken aback at the trio's prescence.
"Captain! When did they show up?!?" He exclaimed. "I dunno... what? Fifteen minutes ago?" He said with a shrug. Auren turned to them, and ogled them. "Err... Hi?" He said, while taking a step back.

The silence was oppresing. It seemed Freya was hellbent on driving Shavas insane. It was working. Despite her calm exterior anger burned deep within the depths of those golden eyes.
The trip was no less exhausting the second time, and had Freya not been there its quite possible she wouldn't have made it out. A calming current of magic trickled throughout her body, providing enough energy for her to tear another hole leading into the courtyard of the white mage tower.
Inthe's tower had an entirely different aura about it, Shavas was the leader of its opposite and so despite its magestic appearance she couldn't hel but bristle with dislike. Judging by the footprints leading up to the door the other three had already arrived and were taking care of things from the inside.
Freya was so different now. She actually wasn't that much taller than when she was a child, but being part dryad that was hardly unnatural. Despite her small stature, her facial features bore the signs of maturity. She gripped the hilt of her sword with familiarity.
Her eyes were narrowed to slits as she glared at her mothers back. She seemed intent on exhausting herself to immobility. The moment Freya withdrew her power, Shavas would drop like a puppet whose strings had been cut. The evil magic had taken a larger toll on the sorceress than tshe was willing to admit, and it was obvious they had no time for the weeks of recooperation Shavas would require to recover entirely. Even so, a good nights rest in a big bed would help immensly.
Her mother was a complete stranger. She had seen her scarcely throughout her childhood and now when they met again, she was noticeably...Purer than in her past life. Freya had been dwelling far off, in Aelethia as an advisor to Queen Ellianthe but when word reached her of Jadira's captivity, Laos's return and her mothers reincarnation she had been forced to depart.
Admittedly the trip hadn't been easy. Freya was a seasoned warrior, but she was also three months pregnant. She hadn't realized that it would be such a trial.
Nadira glanced up, emerging from a trancelike state. The shadow realms hadn't been nearly as bad as Shavas's dramatics had made them seem, but it was still no cup of tea.

A message crystal appeared before Nadira, it shattered into bits and a near transparent illusion of Yumiru sitting on the ground speaking to her hands spoke. "Message for lady Nadira of Esperanza:
"I Yamiru and my brother Hiryu are both searching for peaceful lands and protection. The death of our father lord toleranth, and the disappearance of our mother Yami have promtped our guardians and us to make the plea for help. This may give away our postion however we are in sight of a tower, just past a large crossroads, and we have instructions from Lord Vermillion to go to a forest named T'Cique. I shall remain here to recive your party, while the rest of my party ventures to the forest in case this message is intercepted. I hope with my heart your in good health, and lord vermillion is awaiting us at T'Cique to deliver us from this hardship."
The illusion faded away, and under the fragments of broken crystal was the written form of the message along with a precise location of the sender on the map.
(oh the rest of the main post fo this is int he resistance thread, that should give you a bit of background to how this message arrived on your footstep)

Nadira listened with a grave expression, the corners of her mouth twistng into a quizzical frown as she listened to the message.
Vermillion was dead, and Toleranth was hundreds of Leagus away. His children, the barest hope for the future of Domachi had just alerted every capable magic user to their whereabouts including, most likely, Sibel.
Her voice faltered as she struggled to speak, " We have to get them out of there. Now!." Her expression became stern as she absentmindedly scooped up the crystal fragments.
The little countess of Esperanza looked rather comical addressing these experienced warriors in such a way, but there was no choice.
Freya tilted her head slowly after considering the implications of such an event. Although previously unaware of the existance of Toleranth's children she was well aware of the dangerous they had placed themselfs in. While she realized that there was no other choice for the two she couldn't help but frown in dissaproval.
"I'll accompany you of course, Mother can stay with Tsuki to protect the mage tower, and perhaps Ankhe could also accompany us." It came out in a more commanding tone than she had intended, but she wanted to be on their way.
"C'Tique is not far from here. We should be able to reach it within the hour. Unfortunatly, its a bit closer to Laos's citadel than I would like. Maybe a few of auren's Wyverns along as well?"
The others still seemed a bit taken abake by auren's rapid change of sides, but Freya had never been around him when he was with laos so she had no problem with taking a few of his men along. A hesitant glance from Nadira was met with her level golden gaze abd the matter was settled.
Shavas sighed with irritation. "Shouldn't you reconsider going along considering your... Condition?" She mentioned idly with a pointed glance at Freya's slightly swollen belly.
The tiny dryad's glare was filled with venom as she icily explained to Shavas exactly what she thought of her opinion.
The sorceress blanched a little ans shrugged it off, "Very well, but do be careful dear I wouldn't want to lose you before I really got to know you."

Yumiru figitted nervously ever since she sent the message, always looking over her shoulder and listening to every sound to hear if it was footsteps causing them or just nature's routine noise.
"You're jittery Yumiru." Yumiru nearly jumped out of her skin, and turned dead white with firght as she turned slowly to see who it was. Hiyru had snuck back into her position, and she let out a sigh of relief and took a few deep breaths to try and calm her speeding heart.
"A little warning next time would be nice you know..." Hiyru cut her off; "Be quiet, not another word, were no longer alone, we need to leave this area immediately, you didn't send the message correctly, and i can smell at least two of them. They are faint, and the wind is towards us, so they can be quite aways off yet."
Yumiru matched her brothers whisper; "We just can't up n leave yet. What if they come to help us and were gone?" Hiryu growled; "What if they come too late and were dead, and they get stuck in a trap to loose their lives as well. I'd rather it be them that dies then myself at this point, and its only one person coming. Human at that, what is she going to do against a patrol of demons huh?" Yumiru knew her brother would eventually drag her out of the trees to save his own skin, she took her hair pin out and jabbed him in the arm with it drawing blood. "As a trainee healer I cannot allow you to move until you are seen by a qualified healer. I must excersise my rights to restrain you from leaving until treatment is given."
"Have you gone out of your mind, why don't you just send up sparks next time, hurry up and fix this before too much blood hits the ground." Yumiru made no effort to repair the wound, her words alone were part of a binding spell. Hiryu couldn't move beyond 15 paces of her without being dragged back. Hiyru was kicking dirt atop the drops on the ground trying to cover it up, but the damage was done already. The blood was drowning out his ability to smell the demons approaching, and filling it with his own blood scent.
"I hope you happy Yumiru, you have just got us both killed, and for what?" yumiru turned and shouted at her brother; "Shut up for once will you, you're not exactly an adult either you know, so quit making decisions for me, and if your so afraid of dying..." Yumiru healed the wound and the binding spell was broken; "Run away, and I shall stay in faith of help coming."
--------------------------------------
The band of demons sent to approach downwind of the forest circled close to the mage tower, but stayed far enough away to not fall victim to its defenses like the other poor idots that tried. They had their orders to capture alive, but lethal force was authorized if they attempted to flee. They were making haste to get into position it was hardly inconspicous of anyone on guard duty at the tower to not hear their snapping teeth and quick heavy footsteps rattling their makeshift armor.
----------------------------------
From upwind stood the remaining force of the patrol, they would attack once the signal was sent up that the downwind force was in position. Other units were ordered to show up, but they were hours away at a dead run, but they were making their best efforts to get their faster.

Sir... We have a problem.
Oh? What's up?
It appears that Lord Toleranth's kids are getting into trouble.
Wait, what? He had kids, and they're getting into trouble... What do you--
Try the Laos kind, sir.
Damn. Can you hit them?
Yes sir. ETA... Five Minutes tops. Intercepting as soon as possible.
Auren returned to what was in front of him, which happened to be a spellbook.
Now to free Arkayid...

The upwind group detected the inbound Wyverns and smiled; "Attack now, our allies are coming to aide us, even if they flee they won't be agle to outrun their wings." "Shouldn't we wait for the other group to get into position first?" The commander ran his sword into the belly of the demon who spoke ill of his order. "When I give an order I expect it followed, to question a commander is to question your lord and master, your opinions are not wanted." He jerked his sword free, and with a brief glance at everyone else, they all began to charge on the forest trees, the faster demons quickly gaining a lead on their slower stronger commrades.
Hiyru turned his head, his body tensing to the sounds coming from upwind, they were getting closer, and he tugged on yumiru to get her moving but she sat stubbornly not budgging a inch. Even after the striking force tore into the tree line the sounds defined Yumiru didn't move, she had this look of calmness. As if she didn't fear what was coming, her faith on this message being answered was driving Hiyru mad.

"Alright, there's five of us... And I'd say... forty of them? 8-1 odds? I'll take them." The Squadleader said to his comrades. They nodded, while going into an attack formation.
"Aim for the leaders first! Disorganize them and clean them up."
"Aye sir!"
The Squadron Leader saw the commadner kill the other demon, and nodded.
The commander looked up into a Wyvern's Dragonkiller spear, which had a head several times larger then a normal spear's head, and was meant to pierce the hide of a dragon, or punch through plate armor.
It obviously worked horrors on flesh, and that's what it exactly it did to the Commander.

"Yamiru!" "I'm not moving Hiyru, so forget will you, they will be coming for us, just relax will you." YAMIRU!" Yamiru turned around to face her brother to set him straight on her point, just as the first of the quick demons broke through the inner treeline onto the clearing they were in. Yamiru grabbed Hiyru's arm and pulled him into a run for the dense trees, the demons quickly changing their course to intercept. "Oh so now you run, nest finally get to warm for you to sit on, or you just feeling the chills of death?" Yumiru didn't give him the luxury of saying I told you so. She released the seals dampening the magic that concealed her, and shifted to her natural form. Which wasn't much different from her mothers form except she had a pair of wings on her back.
"What on earth are you doing?" Yumiru decided he had the right to know this part of the plan, even though she was making it up as she went, and didn't have the slighest clue on how they would conceal themselves now that she was a giant beacon to the whole demonic community with her untrained power just broadcasting across the magical spectrum for any mage or demon to sense. "Well I figure if i picked you up by the ankles and we flew, I can manuver through the trees while you use your offensive attacks on our pursuers."
"Yumiru, you are aware of the fact my offensive attacks are not quite as skilled? I'd do more in making them angry then actually hurting them." Yumiru shouted at him sourly as they made the tree line. the breath fo their chasers touching their heels "Is it enough to Knock them off their feet?" "Yeah it might, but that might buy us very little in the way of time."
"Any time is better then what we got now, I was an idot for trusting in the message so blindly, if we die, i'll take all the blame for this, and accept any punishment the gods may have on us." "We are still alive at the moment Yumiru, but now would be a good time to start flying."
Hiyru dropped the small sphere as Yumiru leapt forward taking flight. The sphere was nothing more then a concusion of energy. It threw the pursuing demon away, and threw hiyru throew the air to land rolling a few feet from the site of the small explosion.
yumiru dodged the trees and came around to land scooping up Hiryu, before taking off again. Their trick lasted only moments as more demons joined int he pursuit. Yamiru did her best dodging in and out of the trees, but carrying Hiyru made her agility suffer some so she had to take a more subtle route with less sharp turns.
"Hiryu, are you alive, are you hurt?" Hiyru groaned intot he back of Yumiru's head Yeah i'm alive, although i think my arms broken, i got scrapes and bruises, and I hurt all over. They are gaining on us Yumiru, what's next in this grand plan of yours?"
"Uh, what plan, i made this up, and so far everything is working alright, can't you drop more of those spheres?" No it takes two hands, I've only got one good hand left, can you get above the trees?
"Yeah, give me a moment." Yumiru struggled to gain the necessary alttitude. They got above the treeline and Hiyru's eyes went wide as sivler dollars; go back down, wyverns, demon riders with nasty looking spears, go back down and take our chances with the demons who don't have wings.
They had come up right underneath a pursuing element of the wyvern patrol. More then likely tracking them, fromt he movements of their counterparts below.
Yumiru ducked down back intot he trees turning back the way they came to head for the clearing. The turn of the ground runners would give them some time, but the wyverns could turn on a wing and be right on them in a matter of seconds. The trees were their only cover, but a curse with demons as swift as cats lurking in them. This change in direction proved to be a mistake as yumiru found out, as they neared the clearing once again demons of all types, jumped from trees or lunged up from the ground in attempts to hit them. Yumiru felt lucky and looked back to check on Hiyru who was still thankfully without any more injuries then he already sustained. When she looked back all she saw was a giant paw, yumiru screamed throwing her arms up to protect her head.
She came too moments later on the ground in the clearing, she hurt all over, and Hiyru wasn't to be felt anywhere near her. She winced sitting up, Her forearm was at a odd angle and numb from shock. She saw that the demons attempting to get near them were being slaughtered by the wyvern riders.
She noticed a knee sticking up above the grass a few yards off, and it looked like Hyiru's. She tried to get up, and the pain exploded throughout her body. She collasped breathing heavy for a moment. Then the sweet release of unconsciousness brought an end to her pain.
(Just for the record, when yumiru wakes up she will remember bits and pieces of what she just saw, she won't remember anything about being struck out of the sky, If you wish to fill in the gaps Auren, your more then welcome to, however before we put the wraps on this action, lets give faith a chance to find some inspiration and answer the message. They may miss the battle, but to yumiru it would be a great morale booster. that and give her some defense against hiyru's coming speech on covering there own butts instead of putting that task on anothers shoulders. Complete with many sharp points to smash yumiru into submission of his lead once more, since her faith nearly got them both killed.)

Sir. We got issues. We need reinforcements. We're holding them off, but the two children are badly hurt.
Captain Vesetti, can you send more Wyverns to their location?
Yessir. Kinda hard to not have missed them.
Great. We'll have to figure out how to relocate them to the Resistance Base.
The Wyverns scrambled from Inthe Castle, with the majority staying behind, with an assault wing leaving the castle.
Oh gods above no. Vesetti. Get those Wyverns out of there... NOW!
YESSIR!
The Wyverns fell back... fighting a defensive action, while one of them swept over to the kids and gently picked them up.
"I got'em sir!" The rider called, while holding the two kids tight to him, he directed the Wyvern to take off. The others killed their last targets, and launched into the air, and out of reach of the demons.
Meanwhile, Auren was cursing his luck.
Captain. The kids are away. Ensure no survivors.
Yessir.

((wow, I missed quite alot))
Ah the castle of the Inthe. A lone figure sat atop a tall tower watching the events that passed by. He had only come not too long ago but things seemed to be already cleared up here. Yet, there might be something of interest left, perhaps.
((say, there was supposed to be a seige on the mages tower under Laos' command...but eh... the others didn't make any post. Does anyone know if they are going to at any time soon?))

They were far behind the others, Nadira was panting with thinly veiled exhaustion and doubtlessly giving away their position to any and all enemies lurking nearbye.
The countess's ungainly footsteps were like thunderclaps as she stumbled through piles of dry leaves and twigs. Freya on the other hand moved with the comfortable grace of a dryad in her element.
Her keen eyesight picked out the enemies and circled around them. The children's message had sent up a signal so high it was no doubt that Lord Toleranth was even now cursing wherever it was that he was located. She had no time for petty fights with minor demons.
Freya panicked when she heard the clipped scream not far ahead, and the sounds of pitched battle finally reached her ears. With a burst of speed she broke out into the middle of the whole mess and began methodically hacking into the demons with her slender blade.
A burst of hot dark blood splurted forth and momentarily blinded her, she cursed and wiped the worst of it away while rapidly blinking her watery eyes. A tall demon with the grinning face of a jackal came up behind her, his clawed hands reaching out to wrap around her neck.
Freya spun and neatly beheaded him, but not before recieving a rather nasty cut across her bicep. (There messy, but its something)

((Okay...I don't really know what to do now, but I'll give a little scene at the mage tower.))
((I tried. I can't think of where to start here. Hmmm...okay, I think I've got something.))
((ah, and for Souloe, the white mage tower isn't under Laos' control anymore...I forgot if I said it was or not, but it isn't now. I'm not sure if any of them are anymore. The only one I'm not sure about is the Grey Mage Tower...isn't there a Red one too? Those two might be...))
((Now, let's say that the Inthe people that 'survived' that whole attack thing all are in the mage tower, 'kay?))
As the battles raged on in...Tique? Tsuki tended to what remained of her people. It appeared that once the castle had been taken most of the people in her whole kingdom had decided to play it safe and escape to the tower. As it was, there were well over 5000 people living inside the mage tower, thank god for the magic that expanded the interior as needed. There was a rather...curious absence of white mages. Tsuki suspected that they had all deserted to Laos' forces. There really wasn't any other possible explanation as this tower was one of the four most defensable places in all of Esperanza.
"My lady, might we know when we can leave this tower? We want to avenge the ones you say died at the hands of demons in the Castle." A random citizen had said to her a while ago.
It brought up a good question. One that she knew the solution to immediately. There was a special archway on the top floor of the tower that, when activated by a certified White mage, would power up and become a portal to wherever you needed to go. It was how the mages got around so quickly.

The fight was over almost before it started. Warm blood was trickling down her arm steadily. The cut was nasty but nothing life threatening so long as the bleeding was kept under control.
Freya had long ago adopted her mothers style of clothing, leather armor with a bit of steel where needed. Therefore a rough bandage was out of the question. Gritting her Teeth, Freya reached down with her left arm and pinched the gaping edges together. She hissed through her teeth in pain and disgust as the blood bubbled under her fingers.
The wyvverns were obviously quite capable of handling the rest of this troublesome hoard, and it appeared the children had been taken to safety. If anywhere was safe on this thrice cursed planet.
Her stomach was grumbling discontently, and she swallowed down the bile rising in her throat. Nadira came crashing out of the bushes wildly flaying about with her daggers. She managed to catch a demon across the shoulder, and he roared with anger.
It was an ugly brute, with squinty eyes, and taught red flesh covering cord like muscles. He reached out with tree trunk like arm, and picked up the squirming countess.
With a quick, underarm through she send a needle like knife into the monsters eye and sent him crashing through the undergrowth howling, and dropping Nadira in his confusion.
Rather surprisingly, Nadira managed to stand up from the dirt with dignity and brandish her blades after her fleeing enemy. "That'll teach you, you great beast!" Freya smothered a giggle as Nadira turned to glare at the dryad. "What? Didn't you see that? I banged him up good and he left howling for his mum!"
Unable to contain herself the little dryas burst into gales of laughter, much to Nadira's displeasure. "Lets get back to the tower my young friend, and perhaps between the lot of us we can make an apt swordswoman of you yet."
