I like techno/industrial, rock, J-Rock/J-Pop. And...jazz. Hellsing has some really nice jazz that fits perfectly with the scene.

I agree with everyone else, it depends on the anime. FLCL has the best music - anime harmony though. I like the music from Ghost in the Shell: SAC, but I don't like the anime all that much.
And what's tree bark?

And what's tree bark? Tree Bark = Can't make up my mind, other, I like them all, depends on the anime, etc. It's the option for all you unbiased folks.

I think it is most important that the music fits with the action. Other than that I don't care.

I like more dance styled music. Like the music in .hack//LIMINALITY. That or all the music in the .hack series. I love the music in those. 3nodding

Oh, I don't know what to vote for!
Anything goes, as long as it fits the series!
Anything from Classical to Jazz to Metal and Rock is fine with me, as long as its well written and compliments the anime.
Though notable mentions are the FLCL, Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Wolf Rain and Beck soundtracks.

Depends:
If the Anime is like EVA I expect techno and stuff.
If the Anime is like Slayers I expect hilarious background msuic and J-Pop that is silly.
If the Anime is like Escaflowne I expect orchestrated music.
It depends on the story and background of the Anime. If they are in a city, Rap and Metal and etc aren't a bad idea, but if it is like ancient Japan I don't want to hear J-Pop. 3nodding

As long as the music fits, I really could care less. I mean, if the music sucks, then it's gonna screw up the whole scene. If it's like a bad voice actor doing a lead role, then hell, I'm not gonna watch it. It's the same for music.

I like hearing classical Japanese or Western music or something original but then again it always depends on the mood with music.
