Zuri gave off a warm laugh, letting herself enjoy the moment. She didn't want to seem better then him, but past training and her own old habits couldn't help but make her push herself into things that she just didn't need to get into. But that's what a seer was to do, right? False or not.
"Sometimes you can't see something until someone points it out to you." She said calmly, giving him a warm little fact. "Though, when you see your reflection in the water, do you still see yourself as a cub? Or something else?"

Kere tilted his maned head at that, obviously giving her words careful consideration. After a few moments, he gave a blink and then bowed his head to look into the water.
"I see myself," he replied simply. "Maybe bigger and rather fluffier than I used to be. But myself, nonetheless."
Giving himself a shake, he stood and carefully walked up to the lioness before carefully bowing and briefly touchign his nose to her shoulder.
"I'm sure I owe you a thanks for the lesson, miss. Though I think it will take some time for it to completely sink into my decidedly hard skull."

Zuri smiled warmly, lightly humored by the black adult's reply. Well, he knew that it was himself, but obviously he didn't see himself quite as an adult yet. No worries, perhaps he was a late bloomer? Bless the souls that would find him later on in life, when he would fit the skin he was in.
"Thanks are not in order, for if you haven't learned the lesson yet, then there's nothing there to thank. Muse on what you'd like to think, and if you do remember something, then I shall accept your thank you." She mildly swished her tail, hoping that her words would fall to his ears with understanding. Well....maybe they would. She smiled again at the thought.

Smiling hesitantly, Kereng'ende bowed again.
"I am myself for better or worse with all the lessons I've learned growing up behind me and molding me. And... I don't really have to be afraid anymore."
Tendrils of thought edged just past his reach, making the lioness' lesson somewhat incomplete, but he would do his best to fully understand no matter how long it took. He couldn't really call this wise female a friend, but he could respect her.
"I think... I will stay here for the night, miss and move on tomorrow. If you're planning on staying, I would be happy to hunt somethign down for you that isn't a fish," he chuckled softly, glancing down at his own catch, now becoming slightly pungent. "Maybe your lesson just needs a good sleep to fullty sink in, eh?"

Zuri grinned, content. Well, that made her feel better, and sickly reminded her of home. She shoved the thought aside when the black lion infront of her spoke again.
"Oh, no, I am quite already. A very thoughtful gesture, though. I feel the urge to continue on wandering, until I find what might be here for me." She offered him a deep nod, acknowledging him gratefully before giving him a farewell. "It was good to speak with you, and I hope our paths cross again."
She offered another smile before slinking off into the brush, feeling a bit more upbeat then she had beforehand.

Kere nodded. He understood the need to wander well. Bowing deeply to the departign lioness, he called out softly, just before she would be out of earshot.
"Thank you for the lesson, miss Zuri. I owe you for my lesson and I am ever at your call if you need me. Thank you."
Feeling a sort of peace creep into his heart, the black lion laid by the water's edge and ate his fish.

Her ears caught his words, and she felt that she would be a bit too far for him to hear her words, but perhaps the air would drift them over to him, or to his heart. "I shall remember that, Kereng'ende. Farewell."
Her orange belt slowly faded to brown, before she disappeared, her blue-tipped tail the last thing seen before she moved deeper into the jungle's heart.
