love is anything that can transcend anything

There are too many out there that believe they are in love, when in reality, they're not. It could be infatuation, or the ever-popular lust. They are easily confused with one another.

Wow...this is somepretty DEEP stuff guys...i myself think love is when you get through that really hard level in a game and have bragging rights over all of your freinds for a week...it feels all tingly.

To be honest, it all depends on your personal definition of love.

People have different thoughts on what love is. A child's love is still love even though it isn't the same as that of a bf/gf.

As people grow and experience the world, their perspective on things change and they redefine their ideas. As people grow and mature, their ideas about love and their definitions of love change.

Love is love is love. Everyone has their own idea of what it is or should be and it is therefore possible for anyone of any age to love. It may just happen to be that their idea of love isn't the same as yours. No one definition is necessarily more right/correct than another.

Define "falling in love." Is it a physical desire? Because that's not going to happen until a person hits puberty and becomes aware of that aspect of their person.

Is it finding someone who you want to be with for the rest of your life? How will you know? How do you know something better isn't going to come along?

Or maybe it's a love between friends. Maybe it's that friend that you can't imagine doing anything with besides simply being together, talking together. Because that's all you want. Companionship is more important than anything else in the world. It's what makes you the happiest, not some physical fantasy that'll leave you empty.

I guess it's what's most important to you. To some, a hollow, purely physical relationship is their dream. To others, they want to have stability, to know that nothing's going to change. Still others just want to be together, and that's all that matters.

I guess I fall into the third group. Maybe there are more groups that I can't think of. Maybe I'm just dead wrong. But for me? All I really want is one really good friend. Man, woman, it doesn't matter to me. It doesn't make me a lesbian, it doesn't make me bisexual; it makes me happy. Because to be one of the first two, you'd have to fall into a physical relationship.

Love is perceived differently from one person to the next so it is hard to come to a conclusion about it, and what it is supposed to be defined as. But my thought is that no one really knows if they are truly in love, or if the person is just a well thought of friend...We wont truly ever know because we don't know what the other is really thinking. Kind of like those love stories where two little kids promise to be together forever, and they believe they are in love but yet they are unsure if it is love that they feel for eachother.
