Helaku paused, ears flicking back as he turned his head to look back at the human. He really hadn't planned on the softness of humans to slow him down...the trip was already taking much longer than expected. His ears went back further as he compromised with himself. He'd stand still, and if she chose to ride, he'd do his best not to throw her. If she kept sitting there, he'd try to find one of the village Soquili and apprise them of the situation.

The girl looked up as the forest fell silent. There was no snapping twigs or whipping of the Soquili's tail. She looked at the Stallion and noticed it waiting. She looked away in shame for it wasn't the horse who was lagging behind, it was Amadahy. She thought it was pretty pointless to continue on now that the sun was only minutes away from setting. She hated the dark and all the monsters in it. So being urged on by her new friend and her fears she stood and started to walk again. This time in front of the Soquili so as it to show it that she could try and make it.

Helaku snorted softly to himself, surprised that she hadn't taken advantage of his stillness. He followed her slowly, occasionally correcting her path with a gentle nudge towards one direction or the other. While it might be rapidly growing dark, his eyes were keen, and they should be able to reach the village before a Kalona or skinwalker decided they were easy prey. Or one of the less savory of his own kind.

As Helaku nudged her in the right direction she looked at the horse with eyes that said, 'Watch it,' but understanding that the sun was becoming dangerously low. Amadahy was growing very tire now and as the Stallion tired pushing her in the right direction she tripped. She had fallen right on top of a sharp stick that skinned her knee up pretty bad. It wasn't to a point were she was unable to walk but she did have a great deal of pain surging through her left leg. As she examined the cut she couldn't see it that well but she felt liquid oozing out of the wound. She stood up and looked ahead to see small shimmers of light through the trees. The village must have been about a mile off now. It wouldn't be to long until she was home. Her limped to the side of Helaku and grabbed his mane for support, hopefully he wouldn't mind a tug or two.

Helaku gave a snort of dismay as he inadvertently nudged the female into a fall, and then nickered in concern, turning his head to eye her as she gripped his mane. She was limping badly...well, wild or no, he was sensible. With a 'don't be silly' snort, he knelt to one knee, hoping his withers were low enough that she could lever herself up onto his back somehow. The grey stallion knew that some humans rode his kind often, and were adept, while others walked on their own feet most of their lives. Either way, he'd adjust, and really, this would be the fastest way of getting her home.

Even if pride and wariness had kept him from 'stooping' to it, so to speak.

Feeling the pain stab her in the knee repeatedly she stumbled a bit as the Soquili knelt down and offered her what most wild Soquili's wouldn't. She was shocked of coarse but knew that he wasn't going to stay like that forever, so she slowly eased her injured leg over the horses back and slide on. She was practically laying on this horse but at least she wouldn't fall off somehow. After she was secure on his back his back she latched onto him still hoping that she wouldn't fall off.

Shivers raced over the stallion's skin as though he were plagued by a swarm of flies, but he forced calm onto himself. This was necessary, this was temporary, he was fine. He thought from her clinging grasp that she was as unused to this as he was, so he started to move slowly, keeping his pace to a careful but steady walk.

As Amadahy was bobbed up and down on the horses back she didn't loosen her grip at all. She wasn't going to fall off and cause herself anymore pain. She did glance up to stare at the on coming lights. There was relief in her but also excitement. This was her very first time riding a Soquili, and it was wild. Her family would never believe her, for she always tried to lie her way out of problems. She slowly brought her hand down the Stallions coat to her knee to see if it was still bleeding because now it was going numb. As she brought her hand up with a coat of smooth gloss over her fingers. It was even darker now so she couldn't see the color but even a mental person would guess that it was blood. She she looked on and didn't take her glare off the village. It was closer then ever but still so far.

The final mile seemed to pass by slowly, as Helaku carefully picked his way across the terrain. His nostrils flared as he fought to keep from shying away from what was probably quite normal evening activity as he entered the village, muscles tense. As soon as they were within the fringe of the village, he halted, unsure what to do next.

Amadahy noticed that Helaku was tense and a bit to nervous to continue into the villiage. She lifted her head to look at him and gave him an enormiss hug as she laid on his back once more before slipping off carefully. Now that the flames of the fire were flickering in short distance she looked down at her knee to see her left leg almost completely covered in blood. As if staring at it was pain she felt the pit of her stomach wanting to be thrown up. Her breathing became heavier with worry. So she turned her head to call for help but then remembered her helpful guardian Helaku. She looked back at her beastly angel and gave a slight bow in respects as she reached out her hand for what seemed like the last time Helaku would be petted by her.

Helaku whickered softly, reaching out to place his muzzle beneath her hand. While humans were strange creatures, and often mystifying, this one had been hurt, and helpless. While he preferred to leave the village alone given a choice, she had needed help.

Amadahy gave out a slight breathed laugh as Helaku nuzzled her palm. She brought herself forth and gave his face a nice hug, as if the say thank you to him. She then looked back to the village and decided that it was time for her to depart from him. She honestly didn't want to, if she didn't have this wound on her leg she would without a dout stay with the Stallion for a while longer. After a long gaze at the village she looked to the dirt on the firm ground. There was a deep sadness in her. Amadahy got an idea though. She grabbed a feather from her hair, a black and grey stripped one and lifted it up to his main. Before she tied it to his mane she looked at him to see if this was ok with Helaku.
