Ah, one thing about Dante was his unrivaled chakra manipulation skills. He may not have been the best physical shinobi nor did he have the best jutsu skills, but he was a marvel amoungst chakra users due to his own unique Kenrou Jyyuken style of fighting.
Although his chakra may have left the connection of his body, he could still manipulate it through the vessel of the metal. Even though the metal changed its phase of matter, it still contained his chakra and could still be controlled. So, as he moved his arm to release the liquid metal Dante would attempt to alter its path. His jaw almost dropped as he found it impossible to control the metal. Dante know knew that his chakra obviously did not withstand inside the body of the Avatar. Sadly, he'd have to learn this the hard way. As the liquid metal splashed against his clothing it would cinge through the material and quickly eat away at his skin. Once again he was saved thanks to the irregular heat resistance of his body, or else the burns may have been quite seveer. Though, the odd thing was that Dante did not scream, nor did he flinch. He need not scream from the pain, because he would not feel it. His most unique attribute, the absense of feelings for touch.
Dante would have to act quick now that the Avatar knew of his position. Both of his hands would reach down his body to retrieve two seperate things. His right would retrieve a single kunai knife, while his left would stop at his hip to unlatch a small pouch that was attached to his belt. He would attach the pouch to the ring of the kunai's handle and all would be ready. Quickly, he would leap high up in the air and release the kunai with ample force. His change in altitude was to hopefully catch the Avatar off guard seeing as he had just thrown projectiles. Instead of the kunai coming from exactly the same place as the needles, it would come down at an angle. Upon contact, the pouch would open and release a sand of red hues. It wasn't so much like sand one would find on the beach. It was special, a weapon retrieved from the Igawakure Village, or Village Hidden Among The Rocks.
If the pouch hit and burst releasing this cloud of sand on the man, Dante would take his chance to attack. Upon landing from his leap, he would spring forward towards the Avatar. As he sailed through the air, he would hold his hands over his chest to form handseals once more.

((Might you have a count available on 'supplies' remaining for Dante? Kunai left, anything else, etc.))
When Dante darted upwards the hand extended towards him followed his rise and as such the Avatar was aware of the new assault against his form. The palm split open and into the path of the kunai a laser beam would issue forth in the hopes of entirely consuming the attack before it could reach him. The temperature around the Avatar continued to rise, spiking at the release of the laser blast. Fires raged around him as his sphere of influence continued to expand, nearly every tree that had been grown now nothing but ash.

Dante grunted as he descended downwards once more. When he hit the tree branch, now blackened and burned, a loud crack echoed through the tworched forest. The branch had lost it's sturdyness and would break beneath his weight causing him to move once more. Seeing as his dense forest had now been reduced to mere ash and blackened stubs he had no choice but to fall all 75 feet to the ground. Even for Dante, that would be quite a painful drop. He would spread both arms wide and his tail straight back to act as wind resistance. That alone could not lessen the acceleration enough to keep the impact from crushing all of his bones. So, just before he hit the earth, he would release a large burst of chakra through his feet to push down against the ground to slow him down. It worked just as the lunar lander would use its thrusters to land on the moon.
Once on the ground, Dante felt a little bit safer. He would sit in a crouched position with his hands touching the rocky earth; this was clearly a sign of his animalistic traits. He was now running low on supplies, and he dared not take this man on in a melee battle. All he was left with was his Jutsu techniques. Most of them being of the earth origin, it would be a good thing that he was now close to the earth. As he sat there watching the Avatar, sweat rolling off of his body, bits of stone and sand would seem to hover about, attracting to his body. The earthen material ranged from a mere speck of dust to large broken pieces of stone about the size of one's head. They would merely hover around him swimming in the feild of chakra that fluctuated from his body.

((Thank you. ^_^))
The Avatar's attention began to refocus now that his mobility problems had been solved and his opponent seemed to be content on the ground. This is not to say, however, that the Avatar would be ignoring Dante by any means for any reason. The same arm that had been producing blasts shifted and trained on Dante again to unleash another laser-beam style attack. Meanwhile, the ambient heat levels began to top out in exchange for the light returning and intensifying. The temperatures would continue to rise, but only at a negligable rate as more and more light filtered into the arena.

As soon as he saw the Avatar move his hand towards Dante, he would be ready to move. Pushing off of all fours, he would spring to his right to move onto another upturned piece of earth. The man was obviously just trying to draw more time. Though, heating the entire arena would prove to be futile. Dante's body could withstand it for now. Dante's chakra was begining to peak now. The red energy seemed to give him a confligration-like aura that stretched out in long tendrils. It was monsterous to say the least. He was done with the games.

As for now, it wasn't the temperature that mattered, but the presense of the light which was steadily growing stronger. The Avatar's arm swung to aim at Dante and unleashed another beam style attack just the same as before. The assumption he was buying time was only half correct because while he was indeed buying time, he was doing it because he really had nothing else to do.
Though he did wonder if he could eat Dante's aura. It looked delicious.

Sadly, the Avatar was wasting his time with intensifying the light. Ever since the begining of the match he had been relying on his secondary vision. With the factor of the heat taken care of, mere light could not hurt him.
Once again he would watch the man's arm move to fixate on Dante, and once again he would spring out of the way. He wasn't quite ready to throw out more useless assaults towards the Avatar. He would just continue to charge. His chakra continuously growing causing even more bits of sand, dirt, and rock.
[ Hmm..It doesn't seem like you're taking this fight that serious. So, could we just get on with it ? If it weren't for the fact that you have countless fighters in this tourney I might have been insulted. But yeah, let's get this thing going. ]

((I appologize if it seems that I'm not taking it seriously. Between Cziri's bitching and Dreslin's insistence on not dying, GTB is getting to be a bit of a chore. Furthermore, I've been using the last two posts as what one might call "spellcasting" time. Most mages can't do much in that time and the Avatar is similarly limited. The post after this one will be much more interesting as the "spell" will be complete.))
The growing field of light began to slowly pulsate, increasing in incriments that receded half a step before charging forward by three or four. The Avatar's aura seemed to be expanding, his own form lost deep within it as he focused the liht and energy around him. When his arm swung towards Dante again a significant pulse would issue forth in the same beam style attack as before. This one, however, would stop short of Dante and shift in flight and begin acting much like a homing missile trying to follow Dante. It did not, however, seem to be seeking his aura or his void in the light field, closer to being guided by the Avatar personally.

[ Ah, I can understand that. Just wanna keep the fighting spirit rolling. ]
Dante was begining to get surprised at his constant attempts with this laser beam type attack. Though, this time he would be surprised in a different fashion. When he would spring off all fours again, his mouth would drop open to let out a small mutter. " Heh..the b*****d." He would have to quickly spring backwards onto his feet as he watched the path of the beam curve and follow him. The demon was rather smart, so he wouldn't waste his time trying to run from the attack.
He quickly moved his hand in an inward wave consentrating his chakra through the earthen material that seemed to be attracted to him. The grain of sand, dust, and pieces of rock and stone would all push together to create a condensed shield. The shield was only a bit larger than the beam itself and used most of the large rocks to create the bulk of the shield. Incase the shield was not enough to stop the beam he would spring to his right only ceasing once he knew the beam had stopped. As his rock was used and destroyed more bits of earth would rise in its place, hovering around his body like some earth like aura. His chakra continuously drawing in more bits of earth. The largest part being dust, A six foot radius about his body would seem extremely hazy or dusty. He would continue to wait.

The fate of the laser beam was rather irrelevant, some grim outcome of not hitting Dante and then becoming lost in what was to come. The heat and light spiked up in a burst well past five hundred degrees before a rapid force swept the arena. The temperature would plummet to below freezing and utter darkness would envelope the arena. The entire arena would hold for but a moment before the rock would shatter, sending great shards in every direction from the rapid change in temperature. Even in the maelstrom the Avatar wasn't yet finished, for all that light and heat had to have gone somewhere. High above a single shining star was clear in the darkness as the condensed energy stolen from the arena reached its pinnacle.
Twinkle twinkle little star...

The wolfish demon may not have even noticed the change if it weren't for the shattering stone. Dante's breath was clearly visible in the now fridgid arena, yet his body didn't seem to change at all. One might notice someone with such a pale complextion to turn blue-ish and their lips to turn purple after a while, but Dante would not due to his extreme body temperature. Thanks to all that chakra he was channeling about his body, he himself was about 300 degrees.
The rather instant shattering though, was a problem. Dante had quick reflexes but in this instance all he could do was guard his face for the time. As he begun to take in bits of stone and glass he would raise his defence in hopes of not taking the full effects of the blast. As the stone flew at Dante through the haze of dust and rocks, they would seem to slow. Using his chakra through the haze he would freeze all of the tiny particles of dust and sand. The sand would act like a net and catch the shattered stone. When the blast had ceased Dante was filled with cuts and pieces of stone as shrapnal wounds.
He looked up to catch the energy of the star, and he wasn't too happy. It couldn't have been good. The demon would bring his body low, breath spurting out in hard gust as he continued to consentrate the mass of chakra that had been escaping the Tenketsu (chakra pores) of his body. He slipped his right hand into the small pouch on the back of his hip and pulled forth a scroll with black paper on the outside. He unraveled about his arm's length of the paper to reveal the white opposite side filled with blood red inscriptions. In his left he held a single handseal, in his right was the scroll. As the chakra filtered from his hand through the scroll red sparks of energy jumped off his hand crackling in the air. It was time to get serious.

The superheated orb began to fall again, only picking up more light and heat as it fell to re-enter the arena. It zipped past the Avatar with a brilliant flare of light as the construct forced even more power into it, and connected with it. When it hit ground it was clear that it was aimed as close to Dante as it could get, but aiming wasn't exactly easy at the speeds it was moving.
The resulting explosion would turn the ground into molten rock immediately, the force of the explosion creating a vacuum in the air the size of a beach ball. The initial shockwave, which created the vacuum, blasted away the walls of the arena, turning the whole into a large crater. When the vacuum was filled by the surrounding air everything in the vicinity would get pulled towards it before a thunderous crack filled the air. By the same principle of thunder the air would slam together and create a second concussive force, scouring the stadium of small debris. Temperatures would have returned to that above freezing, ranging somewhere in the range of fifteen hundred degrees on the surface of the molten rock to five hundred at the outer reaches of the area where there had once been spectators.
During the blast the Avatar would not be left unharmed, his outer shell distorted to have a mutated appearance. The temperature directly around the Avatar would be much less than that anywhere else, a mere one hundred degrees as the construct drew in heat to repair itself. The 'arena' was getting dark again.

Heh, I didn't think I'd need to rely on such celestial powers..Prince Saruta, hear my plea.
Dante watched the star as it made its descent with little content. He knew this was gonna be big so now would be the time to make haste. All of the chakra that he had been channeling throughout his body would rush through his hand as he pushed the scroll to roll open along the ground. The inscriptions in the paper would begin to glow vibrantly, flickering like a fire.
Upon the star's impact it would be quite unknown as to whether Dante had been killed or not. As the blast hit the arena floor and the walls were desimated, the happenings on the surface, now molten rock, would be hidden in the dust and debris. When everything had settled a bit more and the floor was now visable one would see exactly how the Kami aided him strength. Suspended about ten feet from the molten rock, held tightly in the grasp of large stone hands was Dante. The hands seemed to have been created of mere stone, yet it was defintely not. This was obvious, due to the fact that it was still standing.
The stone was scratched and chipped from the shrapnal of the blast, but around the wrists of the hands were bracelets with glass mirrors untouched from the blast. This was the oddest thing about the hands; how exactly were these charm like mirrors left untouched ?
A bright red array of light began to escape through the cracks between the hands' fingers as they slowly begun to spread apart. The light was extremely bright and carried violent crackles of what seemed like red electricity. If one could see past such an extravagant light show they may have caught Dante perched in the palms of the hands ready to take flight like a butterfly from its cacoon. Yet, he would not move from his crouched position. Gradually but surely the light, or chakra, would begin to move in a counter-clockwise swirl. At the origin of the swirl, the light would shine brightest where a large mirror rested held in the palms of the stone hands. The swirling chakra would seem to become a funnel feeding off of energy as well as drawing it in. As it built up it got larger and larger. This was not only due to Dante's long charge of chakra, but the absorbtion of much of the energy from the star's impact. As the funnel of wind and energy grew it would begin to suck in the energies of the arena as a sacrifice to the great Kami of earth, Saruta. The Avatar being the largest form of energy in the arena..other than Dante's own energy, which was contained in the funnel...The Avatar would most likely be the easiest thing devoured. Dante would merely sit; no more chakra build up..no nothing. He would purely rely on his built up chakra combined with the magnatude of the star to give the energies of the arena as a gift to Dante's great lord.
For your protection, I shall repay you with the gift of such emense energies. Feed my dear lord, feed!!!!

Drawing the Avatar into the vortex would be a chore in of itself, to say the least. The pull of the vortex would be drawing the construct to its doom, but at the same time it seemed content to defy the normal law of physics and accelerate to incredible speeds in the opposite direction with little effort. This, of course, wouldn't be seen as moving incredibly fast as he was stuck in what could only be described as a black hole. Streams of energy began to flow off the Avatar as he resisted, the arena growing incredibly dark in the process. Brief flashes of light bright enough to blind a normal man even through closed eyelids began detonating around the Avatar as strips of 'skin' were torn away.
