There seems to be a little chaos with the setup of your profile but other than that its decently informative.

Seems like a pretty solid concept. I will say one thing though, and this is something I tell everyone. Random info. Answer the sort of questions you would answer on a internet personality quiz. Favourite things, personality, random history highlights. All great things for getting a charachter off the paper ((or monitor in this case)). Stick to it, add anything that pops into your head, and you'll have a winner in no time.
P.S. The sprite picture is awsome. Are you opposed to doing commisions?

You might want to run your content through Microsoft Word and eradicate the typos.
I'd also recommend going back and adding punctuation/capitalization, right now it's a little tough to read.
You have some good ideas, but the formatting could stand some tightening!

Nice little concept here, and I like the animal choice.
Overall seems believable and thought out, everything overall looks good.
though if you want, there are a few things I might suggest to help improve your character a bit more, namely surrounding why he got to the island
you say (essentually) that he is upset because he doesn't get any personal recognition for his job and decides to go on vacation.
you have it that Robert, while on duty, gets a leg injury of some kind, which for a while puts him out of action, and even when he gets better he still has some lingering effects from the injury
(constant pain, limping...ect) and the rest of the team sometimes don't take him out always when Robert feels he can handle himself out in the field, which is causing Robert frustration.
thats when Robert get an Email or letter telling him of some promising treatment to get his leg completely healed, and is then formally invited to the island for his 'treatment'
