Aure's eyes narrowed. "Then I hate the gods," she declared, stomping her foot. "And when I'm strong enough, I'll kill them so no one else has to become an Illusionary."

No words were said to scold the child for taking such a vow. There probably should have been, for such strong ols were not meant for ones so young to be undertaking. Yet Shen let it slide past with neither approval nor criticism. "It won't be an easy task," she merely said. "What's to come after, if the gods are gone? They have kept the world out of turmoil, however they had chosen to do it. Benifits for the moment may not last long; please take that into consideration." She paused for a bit, and felt it suitable to add, "I have no advice for you, only what I know. I am not one to pass judgements on the world, and when I do, they matter not. I forge no one's destiny, and I have no interest in giving false impressions."

"Nothing's easy," Aure said, smiling in a conspiratorial way. "But a lot of it gets done anyway." She gave Shen a hug and turned to go find her group again; she had no desire to show up spontaenously on the doorsteps of her various families. "Thanks for showing me!"
