i believe many religious pantheons were designed after tribal councils.
there would be a table, and leaders seated around it, and one major chief at the head.
almost like Arthur and the Round Table.
but some systems are rather unusual because the original oldest god, like Saturn or Kronos, has moved aside and a younger god is the chief. i wonder why that is?
in the Abrahamic religions, the one God is "the original and still the best" so to speak 3nodding

MerrickTheDarkOne Is it me or do most major monotheistic religions have a god, and no goddess. It doesn't seem logical because without women, men would not be able to propagate. It seems to back to the ancient belief that men are better than women (although we know we are equals). I think that god would have no gender at all, if there is one god.

I assume I have a creator, god if you will. I'm animistic. I assume there is a male, and female creator. I call them my god and goddess. I don't really know for sure. I'd like to think there is a god and goddess for me to follow and learn from. I think that the reasoning behind that is the exact same reasoning for most people and their religion.

to us it The Mother and the Great Shatterer it who broke the ALL into a trillion pieces and condemned its children for there evils to watch over these pieces. Not all wanted this though and many tried to destroy the Shatterer but they failed and were all locked in an eteranal prison (these gods are known as the Un-faithful and are the core to cult beliefs in all the shards
